Sex och droger är inget för mig : The final girl från den japanska slasherfilmen / Sex and drugs are not for me : The final girl from the japanese slasher film

The aim of this study is to assess to which extent the concept called the final girl can be applied to a character produced outside USA. To achieve this, I have used a Japanese film called Evil Dead Trap (Toshiharu Ikeda, 1988), where I have analyzed the character Nami and her relations to the conventions of the final girl. Some of the more common conventions are that the final girl do not engage in sex or use drugs such as cigarettes. The theoretical framework focuses on identifying and establishing the different conventions of the final girl by using two different researchers and their texts. The state of research was used to place the movie in a historical context. Because of this, the research used focused on Japanese horror cinema from the fifties to the nineties. When the framework was established, an analysis of the final girl was made. Throughout the analysis I saw that, apart from three exceptions, Nami followed the conventions of the final girl. The exceptions were that she did not survive the movie, she took drugs in the form of a cigarette and showed a lack of intellect when they arrived at the military base.

The purpose of this essay is to investigate whether the Swedish municipalities apply the UN Convention on the rights of Persons with Disabilities and article number 24 regarding right to education when purchasing Swedish education for immigrants. One aim is to identify whether legislation, policies and rights of people with disabilities occur in different procurement documents. The study furthermore investigates if the right to education connects to the concept of social sustainability and Agenda 2030 for sustainable development and if that shows in the reviewed documents. This qualitative study maps and compares contents of different documents, descriptions of legislation, policies and concepts concerning rights of persons with disabilities. General comment No. 4 regarding right to inclusive education supports the work and analysis. The result finds that some rights of persons with disabilities occur in the different documents but to a different extent between the municipalities. Human Rights are not widely described and the Convention not mentioned, which could hinder to fulfill the obligation. The concept of social sustainability exists in the documents but does not always constitute the same purpose as described by the Swedish authority for public purchasing.

<p>Tidigare forskning kring funktionshindrade elevers skolgång och behov har oftast kretsat runt föräldrarnas eller andra vuxnas perspektiv. Barn och unga med funktionshinder har setts med vuxnas ögon. Röster och erfarenheter från barn och ungdomar med funktionshinder har i stort saknats i utredningar och betänkanden. Detta trots att Sverige förbundit sig att efterleva FN:s konvention om barnets rättigheter och inlemma barn och unga i beslutsprocesser. Med utgångspunkt från artikel 12 i FN:s barnkonvention, om barns rätt att höras och bli hörda och den nyligen initierade utredningen om bland annat behovet av en specialskola för elever i gymnasieålder, samt kommunernas möjlighet att anordna utbildning för elever med vissa funktionshinder, var syftet med den aktuella studien att belysa funktionshindrade barn och ungdomars erfarenheter och upplevelser av sin skolsituation. Metoden som använts i denna studie är kvalitativ och med hjälp av en relativt ny och kreativ teknik som kallas ”höringar” försökte vi kartlägga och fördjupa kunskaperna om hörselskadade och döva ungdomars skollinje och erfarenheter från olika skolformer. Utifrån ett barnperspektiv försökte vi besvara dessa frågeställningar; Hur upplever RGD/RGH-elever sin nuvarande skolsituation? Hur gestaltar sig deras erfarenheter av tidigare skolformer? Är ”höringar” en användbar teknik för att få fram de döva och hörselskadades röster? Målgruppen för den aktuella studien består av nio döva och hörselskadade ungdomar som går på riksgymnasiet för döva och hörselskadade i Örebro. Avsikten med studien har inte varit att utröna vilken skolform som kan anses mest lämplig för döva och hörselskadade elever. Studiens litteraturgenomgång berörde centrala begrepp och definitioner på funktionshinder, från de döva och hörselskadades perspektiv. Det svenska teckenspråkets ställning, förhållandet mellan barnperspektiv och barns perspektiv samt internationella politiska styrdokument låg till grund för denna studie. Resultaten från höringarna presenterades i enlighet med modellen i text och bild, så tolkningsfritt som möjligt. Av resultaten framkom det att ungdomarnas upplevelser och erfarenheter låg i linje med den litteratur som granskats i denna studie. Studien visade att ungdomarna upplevelser av RGD/RGH i stort är positiv när det gäller boende-skola-fritid i Örebro. Setting out from the UNCRC, article 12, about children’s rights to be heard and the recently proposed inquiry of the need of a special upper secondary school for students with disabilities, and the ability of the municipalities to organize education for students with certain disabilities, the purpose of this study was to shed light upon disabled youths and children’s experiences of their school situation. The method used in this study is qualitative, and with this new and creative technique called ”hearings” we tried to map out and engross the knowledge about the line of school for deaf and heaing impaired youth and their views on these different types of schools. Attempts were made to answer these questions from a child’s perspective; how do RGD/RGH-students find their present schoolsituation? What shapes have their experiences from earlier schools they attended? Was ”hearings” a useful technique to express the views of the young deaf and the hearing impareds? The target group in this study consisted of nine deaf and hearing impared youths attending the national upper secondary school for the deaf and hearing impared in Örebro. The purpose of this study was not to find out what would be the best kind of school for the deaf and hearing impared students. The litterature review in the study touched upon central concepts and definitions on disabilities, from the perspective of deaf and hearing impared. Status of the Swedish sign language, relationship between childperspective/ children’s perspective and international political treaties and document was the basis of this study. The results from the ”hearings” was presented accordingly to this techique in texts and pictures, as free from interpretations as possible. The study concluded that the experiences of these youths were in line with the literature review being used in this study. The study shows that their experiences are of the positive kind concerning housing-school-leisure in Örebro. The study also concluded that, in order to map out the experiences of disabled people from a children’s point of view according to the UNCRC, ”hearing” as a technique is suitable.</p>

Kvinnokonventionen- självklar men frånvarande. : En kvalitativ studie om implementering av Kvinnokonventionen

The purpose of this study is to examine the implementation of the Convention on the elimination of all forms of discrimination against women, CEDAW, in Uppsala local council and county council. The aim is to examine how the respondents, in their daily work, understand and implement the convention as well as how they consider the prerequisites for a successful implementation. The study was conducted using qualitative interviews with three civil servants and four politicians. The theoretical approach was implementation theory whose concepts willingness, comprehension and capability were used as tools for the analysis. The results portray CEDAW as a well-known treaty amongst the respondents but at the same time absent in local politics and everyday work. The convention is perceived as an abstract and ideological document which reveals the respondents’ insufficient knowledge about CEDAW as a human rights treaty and the state´s obligation to eliminate discrimination against women. The results also indicate that unclear instructions and responsibility distribution as well as lack of resources, such as time and knowledge, obstruct successful implementation of CEDAW. In conclusion, gender equality is neither a prioritised issue in Uppsala local council and county council and nor seen as a human right.

Abstract The aim of this study is to investigate how a picture book for children is transformed into an easy-to-read version for children who have just started reading. I examine two versions of Emil of Lönneberga. One of the books is the orginal picture book of Emil in Lönneberga and was written by Astrid Lindgren (1963), while the other is an easy-toreadversion of the book, as adapted by the author Helena Renvall (1977). I have conducted a comparative study as a text and picture analysis of the material, with the focus on the adaptation of the original story. The adaptation in this case is a revision intended to make the story easier to read and more accessible to today’s children. The most important finding of the study is that easily read information is not just a matter of simplifying the text; the form of both text and pictures is adapted. The text is characterized by simpler words and shorter sentences. The pictorial material has been increased and the originally black and white pictures have been given added red colour. Otherwise, most of the layout has been changed for several reasons, but generally speaking so that the relation between text and pictures on each spread will function inthe most easy-to-read way possible.

Das "alte" Allgemeine Zoll- und Handelsabkommen (GATT) von 1947 hatte Fragen des Umweltschutzes noch keine Beachtung geschenkt. Seit den 70er Jahren geriet aber auch Ökologie als potentielles Handelshemmnis ins Blickfeld des Welthandelsrechts. Angesichts der Errichtung der WTO beleuchtet der Beitrag nach einer Skizze der Entwicklungen an der Schnittstelle von Umwelt und Wirtschaft die Möglichkeiten und Grenzen einer stärker umweltorientierten Auslegung von Art. XX GATT.

Aufbauend auf dem Leistungstyp „Wohnen für schwerstverhaltensauffällige Menschen mit geistiger Behinderung (im Heim)“ gemäß Anlage 1 zum Rahmenvertrag nach § 79 Abs. 1 SGB XII hat sich in den vergangenen Jahren im Freistaat Sachsen ein differenziertes Portfolio an intensivpädagogischen Wohnangeboten (IPW) für verschiedene Zielgruppen nach § 53 SGB XII und deren besonderen Bedarfslagen entwickelt. Dabei ist festzustellen, dass die Ursachen und Ausprägungen der Verhaltensauffälligkeiten sehr vielfältig sein können und dass intensivpädagogische Wohnstätten in Einzelfällen auch an ihre Grenzen geraten. Die mit der Etablierung dieser Wohnformen verbundene Zielstellung einer befristeten Verweil-dauer der Bewohner wurde nicht erreicht.
