Seis espaços: possível referência para o estudo e a construção do corpo cênico / Seis espaços: possível referência para o estudo e a construção do corpo cênico

Patricia de Azevedo Noronha 12 May 2009 (has links)
This dissertation presents a reflection on the Personal Space, Partial Space, Total Space, Social Space, Scenic Space and the Ma spatiality, having as basis the extensive bibliography and the extensive artistic and pedagogical experience of the author as an actress-dancer, teacher, researcher, director and choreographer. The dissertation aims to function as a starting point for Performing Arts pupils and teachers to think bodys scenic approach in classroom and in artistic creation. At the beginning there are definitions of concepts about the body and the study of major theoretical approaches, such as the Corpomedia and Body Without Organs theories, which serve as a shared reference to both author and reader and define a way of reflection about the spaces mentioned. Then we have the presentation of each space. As it concerns Ma Spatiality, because of its complexity and also because of the fact that it is a Japanese cultural concept of difficult understanding (concerning the differences between Western and Eastern cultures) the author engaged herself in the detailed study of the doctoral thesis of Michiko Okano, Ma: an inter-space of communication in Japan - a study on the dialogues between East and West. At the end, the author links it to Performing Arts and focuses on appointing the presence of Ma spatiality on Takao Kusunos work O Olho do Tamanduá, in which she has participated as an actress-dancer-creator, and Lucíola cena 1, directed and performed by the author herself. The work of Rudolf Laban, Michiko Okano, Patricia Stokoe, Eugenio Barba, Antonin Artaud, Kusuno Takao, Hideki Matsuka, Akira Kasai, Ko Murobushi, Gilles Deleuze, Felix Gattari, Helena Katz, Christine Greiner and Cassiano Quillice are specifically mentioned.

La psychologie aristotélicienne dans l'Islam classique : traduction et commentaire de l'Épître sur le retour d'Avicenne / Aristotle's psychology in Classical Islam : translation and commentary on Avicenna's Epistle on Return

Lamrani, Lila 24 November 2014 (has links)
Avicenna’s Risala al-adhawiya fi al-ma`ad, dealing with the question of Return to life once death has occurred, comes up with various original theses that do not appear in Avicenna’s other writings. The Return cannot affect the body : it is indeed dedicated to souls inasmuch as the essence of man lies in his soul. Bodies get corrupted once and for all when death occurs. The Quran has nothing to do with a demonstrative text, it is a rhetorical text that aims at provoking in its readers the appropriate moral behaviour. It is therefore impossible to deduce from the repeated coranic assertion saying that bodies will come back to life that bodies will effectively resurrect. If in the physical world there is a plurality of souls, it is only because of the multiplicity of the corporeal matter that receives them. If souls have to survive independently from bodies that allow their individuation, how then could they individually exist ? There will not be any individual existence of souls in the hereafter, but a Return of these souls to the Principle (the Agent Intellect, or, at last, the First Principle, God) from which they emanate : therefore souls resorb in their origin and do not have any separate existence. It is an absolute Return.

Comparison of Multiple Models for Diabetes Using Model Averaging

Al-Mashat, Alex January 2021 (has links)
Pharmacometrics is widely used in drug development. Models are developed to describe pharmacological measurements with data gathered from a clinical trial. The information can then be applied to, for instance, safely establish dose-response relationships of a substance. Glycated hemoglobin (HbA1c) is a common biomarker used by models within antihyperglycemic drug development, as it reflects the average plasma glucose level over the previous 8-12 weeks. There are five different nonlinear mixed-effects models that describes HbA1c-formation. They use different biomarkers such as mean plasma glucose (MPG), fasting plasma glucose (FPG), fasting plasma insulin (FPI) or a combination of those. The aim of this study was to compare their performances on a population and an individual level using model averaging (MA) and to explore if reduced trial durations and different treatment could affect the outcome. Multiple weighting methods were applied to the MA workflow, such as the Akaike information criterion (AIC), cross-validation (CV) and a bootstrap model averaging method. Results show that in general, models that use MPG to describe HbA1c-formation on a population level could potentially outperform models using other biomarkers, however, models have shown similar performance on individual level. Further studies on the relationship between biomarkers and model performances must be conducted, since it could potentially lay the ground for better individual HbA1c-predictions. It can then be applied in antihyperglycemic drug development and to possibly reduce sample sizes in a clinical trial. With this project, we have illustrated how to perform MA on the aforementioned models, using different biomarkers as well as the difference between model weights on a population and individual level.

Theoretical and Numerical Analysis of Super-Resolution Without Grid / Analyse numérique et théorique de la super-résolution sans grille

Denoyelle, Quentin 09 July 2018 (has links)
This thesis studies the noisy sparse spikes super-resolution problem for positive measures using the BLASSO, an infinite dimensional convex optimization problem generalizing the LASSO to measures. First, we show that the support stability of the BLASSO for N clustered spikes is governed by an object called the (2N-1)-vanishing derivatives pre-certificate. When it is non-degenerate, solving the BLASSO leads to exact support recovery of the initial measure, in a low noise regime whose size is controlled by the minimal separation distance of the spikes. In a second part, we propose the Sliding Frank-Wolfe algorithm, based on the Frank-Wolfe algorithm with an added step moving continuously the amplitudes and positions of the spikes, that solves the BLASSO. We show that, under mild assumptions, it converges in a finite number of iterations. We apply this algorithm to the 3D fluorescent microscopy problem by comparing three models based on the PALM/STORM technics.

The cervical cancer is the second most common cancer among women worldwide and has been associated with infection by human papillomavirus (HPV) whose diagnosis of suspicion is done through the Pap test. In general, some factors are involved in this relationship, such as early onset of sexual activity, number of sexual partners, promiscuity, however, these factors are not well known in special groups of women, such as the riverside. This study aimed to understand the magnitude of the prevalence of human papillomavirus - HPV and associated risk factors among women living on the river Tocantins, in the municipality of Empress - MA. Participants 107 women enrolled in Basic Health Unit Riverside where they were subjected to a smear test by the Papanicolaou technique. Sociodemographic and epidemiological data related to HPV infection were obtained through the standard form of the Ministry of Health PPCCU Women Study participants averaged 36 years of age, and 88.8% non-white women, most with elementary school, and living with income in the range of 1 to 3 minimum wages (57.9%). Among the risk factors there was a mean age of 16.6 years at first intercourse, an average of 3.1 sexual partners in history, parity of 3 children, high smoking prevalence 24.2%, contraceptive use by 52, 3% of women and the frequent use of condoms by 62.6% of women. Conducting annual preventive examination of cervical cancer of 43.9%. However, there was no association of any of the risk factors studied with HPV infection. The study also revealed that women's knowledge about HPV was having incipient awareness that there was need for further clarification on prevention, health risks and treatment. We conclude that the activities of health education about HPV developed in the Public Health Services of Empress of Maranhão facing special groups, particularly those socially disadvantaged, are still insufficient to make an impact in reducing morbidity by cancer lap, and requires studies on strategies to approach these actions within the Programme for Prevention of Cervical Cancer.

It is known that infection with human papillomavirus (HPV) is widely distributed in the population, and is considered a sexually transmitted disease (STD) more frequent worldwide. Its transmission occurs through sexual exposure in about 98% of cases and its positive peak is observed among women of reproductive age, especially in the first years of sexual activity. In general, the infection is limited by the action of the immune system, which eliminates the virus within 2 years. Changes that interfere with the action of the immune system can influence the course of HPV infection, such as people with AIDS. During pregnancy, physiological changes occur that alter the immune response to non-rejection of semi- allogeneic fetus. This could interfere with the evolution of HPV infection, but this is still controversial. This study aimed to analyze the prevalence of HPV infection in pregnant women in the city of Imperatriz, MA and investigate possible associations between genital HPV infection and sociodemographic, behavioral, sexual, contraceptive and reproductive clinic - gynecological selected. We conducted a cross-sectional study of 168 pregnant women in the city of Empress-MA. The selected patients answered a questionnaire on socio demographic, behavioral and reproductive. Material was collected cervicovaginal cytology and conventional cervical brushed to detect HPV DNA by the technique of polymerase chain reaction (PCR). The association of HPV infection and selected risk factors was evaluated using the chi-square (x²) and/or Fisher exact test, all with an alpha level of 0.05. We studied 200 samples of cervical material was collected for Pap smear testing and identification of HPV DNA by PCR. The prevalence of genital HPV infection in pregnant women in the city of Empress was 17.6%, with the highest prevalence was in the age group between 18 to 25 years, which was 21.5%. Regarding marital status, note that unmarried pregnant women had a higher risk of acquiring HPV infection than married women (OR = 4.03, p = 0.0046). As for reproductive traits, there is the women who reported being primigravidae had higher prevalence of HPV infection, with 29%, which was statistically significant (p = 0.001), and 4 times more likely to acquire HPV infection than women who became pregnant two or more times. Interestingly, women who were taking the first PCCU on occasion, had a higher prevalence of HPV infection (25%) compared to those who had performed this test anteriormente.Os results showed a high prevalence of HPV in young pregnant women aged less than 25 years in primigravidae and among those who underwent PCCU first, so there is a need for measures to promote prevention and health of pregnant women with this specific target within the service routine Hospital. Thus, it is believed that such data can be very useful in planning programs, including the control of STDs, especially HPV.
