Pedagogic folk-tale therapy at the lessons of informal education
Summary
One of he most urgent problem in the Lithuanian contemporary educational, basing itself on the humanist education principles, is the psychological climate at school, influencing pupils’ motivation to state of pupil. Supplementary education classes could have a large influence on the improvement of psychological climate.
,,The Supplementary Education Concept” is a list of the possibilities, grouped ant called functions, including: cognitive, communication, pragmatic and self-reakiztion. The mentioned concept does not include the innovative function of supplementary education, used to preserve emotional health and to improve the emotional state of a child. In essence this function is ,,social treatment” by art, also known as art therapy. ,, The Supplementary Education Concept” addresses the problems, arising in the course of after-class activity in a mainstream school. This is related to poor search for new working forms and methods, forgotten training and insufficient requalification tasks, and too little attention paid to the children’s socialization process, etc. We studied the documents, regulating supplementary education, articles of researchers and teachers on this work and formulated the problem for investigation, namely: too little attention is paid to the important issue for pupil’s socialization and creativity-planning, and organizing of systematical recreational work, used to eliminate...
The cartography traced in this thesis refers to the teaching exercise in the Integration and Resources Classroom that is the way through which the Municipal Educational System of Porto Alegre/RS offers Specialized Educational Assistance to students with special needs who attend regular schools. The production of data is made possible through Anotações de Eva (Eve’s Notes), a research device that comprises notes, video and audio records, as well as chronotopes and flowcharts created by the researcher, which are a result of the monitoring of these procedures, as well as norms that are alusive to this teaching exercise, pedagogic and medical reports of the students, records written by the professor, interviews and informal conversations with the advisors of the educational system, healthcare professionals, school teachers and family members. The following five organizers were mapped, functioning simultaneously, which affect the working activity of the professor at the Resources Classroom, but that at the same time are made flexible and even broken: (1) educational policy; (2) the way the student is and acts at school; (3) the architectural design of the school facilities; (4) financial autonomy; (5) the manner the professor does things, which unfolds based on two originators – the Residential Pedagogic Assistance and the Assistive Technology. This mapping suggests a molecular inventiveness that manifests itself in the coexistence of the usual and erratic paths of the organizers and disorganizers, of the continuous stratifications and variations that manage the doing and undoing, the undoing of itself, the redoing and the own redoing of this supporting service of the professor at the Resources Classroom, as well as the students she monitored.

Improving Pre-Service Teacher Development Practices in English as a Second Language: A case of Secondary School Teacher Preparation at Great Zimbabwe University in Zimbabwe.Ngwaru, Cathrine January 2017 (has links)
Philosophiae Doctor - PhD ( Language Education) / Ordinarily, Teacher Development at the level of Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) at Great
Zimbabwe University (GZU) comes in two major phases spread over four years - the
theoretical and the practical based phases. The theoretical phase comes in the form of courses
based on pedagogical content and professional knowledge in the initial years at the university
while the practical based phase comes in the form of school-based Teaching Practice (TP)
for real and direct teaching experiences. The initial theoretical phase is often based on the
liberal arts-like education to develop the whole teacher for adaptable life-long service. This
is translated by a number of subject that can vary according the dictates of the focus of a
particular national curriculum. TP on the other hand, provides student-teachers the
opportunity to apply not only the knowledge acquired in the initial phase but also the schoolbased
curriculum they are immersed in plus other contextual experiences they might have.
If well-structured and blended, the two phases may ensure a smooth transition from a novice
student teacher to an expert professional teacher for long-life practice.

Every Body in its Place : The reproduction of inequality by way of education in Metropolis and SnowpiercerBjelkendal, Ebbe January 2020 (has links)
With increasing inequality in the world, having knowledge about the apparatuses maintaining unequal social structures is important. Utopian and dystopian science fiction films are a good source for analysis of social structures, due to their inherent interest in social critique and the role of semiotics in the spreading of ideology. This essay examines how ideology is presented and represented in the science fiction films Metropolis and Snowpiercer. Within a Marxist theoretical framework, the essay analyses the presence and actions of ideological state apparatuses in the films, with a secondary focus on how the ideology on display is presented to the viewer. The analysis of the films shows that several different ideological state apparatuses, such as school and politics, are represented in the films. The apparatuses are also shown to use a variety of pedagogic actions for teaching the dominant ideology of the respective film’s ruling class to the citizens of the films, such as lecturing, singing and communicating through clothing and architecture. The analysis also shows that while two different political ideologies are represented in the films, corporatism in Metropolis and neoliberalism in Snowpiercer, both ideologies serve the same purpose of maintaining the capitalist order of the films’ societies: the division of labour. The essay argues that the findings of the analysis motivate a Marxist approach to teaching, in order to actively work against inequality and provide all students with a well-rounded education, no matter what social class they belong to.

Previous issue date: 2008-03-05 / Fundo Mackenzie de Pesquisa / Under the influence of the knowledge society, the growth of the demand for a professional graduation brings up the discussion on capacity of the university professors. Postgraduate education stricto sensu courses have a special attention once they are responsible for preparing researchers and other professors. The objective of this work is to reflect about pedagogic formation of professors by discussing the opportunities avaiable by to the mastering courses effectiveness in order to make this formation become true. Evolution of superior graduation is shown through a historical data collection and based on legislation. In some analysis made with Capes and Unversities allowed a research focus delimitation and understanding on how the master courses intend to give future professors a solid pedagogic basis. Authors like Morosini (2000), Pimenta & Anastasiou (2002), Masetto (2003), Pachane (2003), Zabalza (2003), among others, contributed on the construction of university professors profile, allowing a dialog with Santomé (1998), Moreira (2000) and Lampert (2002) about curriculum organization an its importance on professional formation. Results of this work leaded to conclude that only a few master programs are concerned on preparing professors to teach at superior graduation, oftenly by offering only one or two methodology disciplines. Due to this, it's important, necessary and urgent to develop pedagogic competence of professors, by using activities that join action and reflection on the practice of teaching and researching.

objetivo/avaliação, como categoria estruturante do trabalho pedagógico, a partir do projeto histórico socialista, da teoria marxista e da prática avaliativa superadora / ABSTRACT The present theory is inserted in the inquiries that take as an object of study the organization of the pedagogic work and the evaluation of the apprenticeship. The objective of the study is to identify, to analyse and to value the organization of the pedagogic work and the evaluation of the apprenticeship at the Physical Education carried out in the College of Application of the UFG, to explain limits and advancements in the treatment with the category estruturante of the organization of the pedagogic work in the capitalist school that is the equal dialectic objective / evaluation. The hypothesis that orientated the work was that the category evaluation / objective is the moduladora of the organization of the pedagogic work in the school, because in her there are contained the elements that reflect the class struggle in the society what explains the high rates of disapproval and exclusion of the pupils, principally the originating ones from the hard-working class. In this sense, it is possible to affirm that the recognition of the contradictions of the dialectic couple evaluation / objective in the organization of the pedagogic work can be surpassed in order that avaliativa of the school makes possible a new pedagogic culture at the current historical moment. We delimit the next scientific question: which the advancements and limits of the evaluation of the apprenticeship in the Physical Education in the College of Application of the UFG, finding objectives / evaluations, categories the dialectic couple estruturantes of the pedagogic work in the school, from the documents, the deliberative persistence and the pedagogic work in the classrooms? To answer this central question and to pay attention to our objectives of the inquiry our distance theoretician - metodológico leaves from data of the reality, observed in the classrooms of Physical Education and in other persistence (Councils of Class) in the Cap/UFG and from documentary analysis (PPP). We talk to the principal dissertations and theories about evaluation of the apprenticeship chosen in a lifting of the production of the knowledge on thematic “Evaluation of the apprenticeship in Physical Education” in the Bank of Theories of CASTRATE, in the period understood between 1987 and 2009, expressed in 64 summaries. It was noted in the study that the evaluation is still used like the form of classification, selection, exclusion of the pupils of the school, as well as other characteristics already denounced in the literature on the theme. So, the evaluation as category estruturante of the pedagogic work is consolidating the social paper of the school in the
10
capitalist society, not in mechanical way, but for present mediations in the acts avaliativos disciplinal, of contents, of attitudes and of values.
We conclude when there is theorizing on means of treatment with the dialectic couple objective / evaluation, like category estruturante of the pedagogic work, from the historical socialist project, the Marxist theory and practice avaliativa superadore.

Med andras ögon : Hur pedagogik gestaltar sig i omvårdnad / With the eyes of others : How pedagogic configures in Nursing careÅhlander, Sofia, Westerberg, Johanna January 2015 (has links)
Human beings who are in need of caring in nursing requires pedagogical learning in the form of support from the nurse facing the issues and challenges they are receiving. How pedagogical learning is designed in different care situations is not yet sufficiently scientifically explored, making it important to map the problem of the lack of pedagogical learning in nursing. The aim was to identify what pedagogical learning is in nursing. The method is a literature review of 8 scientific articles that formed the basis for the result. The results showed six different sub-themes; pedagogical flaws, pedagogical innovation, the nurse, the patient's life-world, pedagogical mutuality and pedagogical care and who formed the main theme "With the eyes of others”. Pedagogic is one of the most important key aspects in nursing in order to initiate a proper care to the patient. In order to integrate pedagogy as part of the care process, more training, knowledge and research in pedagogy is needed and learning how unique nursing situations for the unique patient should be applied.

Measuring and enhancing the emotional intelligence of built environment studentsMo, Yi Yi January 2010 (has links)
Emotional Intelligence (EI) has been viewed as a critical factor influencing students' academic achievement, ability to work, and potential to succeed. Previous research has shown that students with high EI perform better academically than those with low EI, as well as being better equipped for their professional careers. However, despite the acknowledged importance of EI, little work has explored the construct within the context of built environment education and relatively little is known about how built environment curricula should be designed to enhance EI. This research explores the EI levels of built environment undergraduates and its relationship to their specific programmes, and investigates the types of pedagogic interventions which appear to influence EI in a positive way. This research adopts a multimethodological research design and a mixed methods approach, involving a combination of both quantitative and qualitative datasets to explore students' experiences and learning enhancements. These include a questionnaire survey of 420 respondents, a secondary examination of built environment programmes, interviews with construction professionals and 45 in-depth interviews with placement students and other undergraduates. The results reveal that the existing built environment education inhibits students' EI development, but that EI is shown to increase during industrial placements. The results also reveal that EI development differs by the types of programme taken, with students studying on Civil Engineering and Architectural Engineering & Design Management programmes showing a propensity for higher EI scores in comparison with those studying on a Commercial Management & Quantity Surveying programme. An analysis of the modular content of programmes, together with the mode of teaching, learning and assessment used, reveals the types of pedagogic intervention which can enhance EI development. Group work and student-centred learning in particular were found to have a positive effect on EI development. These findings form the basis of recommendations for how current built environment education can be enhanced in a way to develop students' EI. It is suggested that a better understanding of students' EI levels and the ability of such programmes to influence students' EI may help to produce graduates better able to meet the future requirements of the construction industry.
