Šumava-příroda a lidé-očima Karla Klostermanna / Šumava-nature and people-Through the eyes of Karel Klostermann

Žaba, Ladislav January 2012 (has links)
ŠUMAVA - NATURE AND PEOPLE - THROUGH THE EYES OF KAREL KLOSTERMANN (with special attention to the frequency, ways and possibilities of individual colours' usage) The aim of this thesis is to designate and describe qualities of the residents of the central Bohemian Forest and the attributes of local nature in the way they were depicted by the writer Karel Klostermann (1848-1923). The results of individual analyses performed in this thesis present the inhabitants of the Bohemian Forest as a society that is conservative, religion-based, maybe even superstitious and bearing a certain distrust to the surrounding world. The Bohemian Forest's landscape is very demanding, the impact of which is visible in the inhabitants' character traits - the increased directness and, in certain aspects, vulgarity of people living under these conditions. Nature is often approached as a literary image that is further developed in accordance with the spirit of impressionism. This is concluded, among other sources, from the specific use of colours that is further analyzed. The emphasis of sense perception pervades almost every descriptive passage.

Guimarães Rosa e o primeiro Modernismo: uma leitura de Sagarana / Guimarães Rosa and the first Modernism: a reading of Sagarana

Guimarães, Carolina Serra Azul 30 May 2014 (has links)
Esta dissertação busca discutir em que medida o autor mineiro, ao jogar luz sobre as benesses do provincianismo brasileiro, resgata o ideário forjado por nosso primeiro Modernismo e sua interpretação triunfalista do atraso / Lands far from large urban centers, in the countryside of Minas Gerais to be precise, are at the core of the Guimarães Rosa\'s first book, Sagarana (1946). It is notable how Rosa focuses on these areas as well as on the forms of sociability of the people therein: if, on the one hand, the 1930\'s generation of writers approached the Brazilian countryside in view of its problems, Guimarães Rosa, on the other hand, takes a sympathetic and affectionate look at elements such as Brazilian familism and informality, thus glimpsing poetry in regions of precarious material conditions. Working on Sagarana at a moment when the delay of the nation was interpreted, by both left and right-wing groups, as a residue and obstruction for its progress, Guimarães Rosa moves back in space (to the region) and in time (to the First Brazilian Republic) to decompress the culture of Brazilian latifundia. This dissertation intends to discuss the ways in which Guimarães Rosa, while emphasizing the riches of Brazilian provincialism, recovers the ideas of our first Modernism and its triumphalist vision of delay

Serafim na mira: uma análise da obra Serafim Ponte Grande (Oswald de Andrade, 1933) / Serafim on target: analysis of the work Serafim Ponte Grande (Oswald de Andrade, 1933)

Silva, Wine Viana da 23 October 2018 (has links)
The book Serafim Ponte Grande, written by Oswald de Andrade in the late 1920s and published in 1933, presents the \'low\' and \'high\' of Brazilian culture. Humor, sexuality and literature appear as important elements and exacerbated by technique, there are types and expressions both colloquial and erudite downplayed by the treatment that the author gives to the themes presented. Considering these factors, this research aims at Serafim Ponte Grande (1933) seeking to illuminate the relationship between the literary technique and the material formalized by it.

[en] READ (HIMSELF) AND WRITE (HIMSELF) (IN) THE OTHER / [pt] LER(-SE) E ESCREVER(-SE) (N)O OUTRO

ANDERSON LUIZ DA SILVA 01 March 2007 (has links)
[en] The objective of this study is to discuss the presence, in 1990´s Brazilian prose fiction, of discursive strategies that reveal complex processes of approaching the confrontation between the I and the Other. We deal with the presence of narrative instances impregnated with speeches on alterity, what is evidenced in stories and romances whose plots are based on the confrontation of subjectivities, ethnic groups and cultures. In order to discuss this subject, we tried to identify, in the narratives analyzed, what we denominate the presence of ethnographic voices, starting with approximations among the literary and the anthropologic fields, considering that procedures of the other´s reading and writing are made present as much in the ethnographer s as in the fictionist´s work. Such procedure lets us, finally, consider the polyphony as a fundamental feature of the alterity´s writing and reading process in our contemporary fiction.

The purpose is to understand the underground language in the hybrid structure within the form of the romance genre. We have made a discursive structural comparison between O Cheiro do Ralo and Rabelais's work, Gargantua (1985) and O terceiro livro dos fatos e ditos heróicos do bom Pantagruel (2006). We associate the marginal language represented by Mutarelli with the works of artists such as Renoir, Munch and Bosch, besides the musical art. All of them are understood as reading devices of the novel, and support the references or the appropriations made by the author in the process of framing the narrative. The contamination of these languages one each other is made by the voice of the implicit narrator. In addition, the selected theories of Bakhtin about plurilingualism and skaz support the research from the social discourse standpoint, and the critical work of Will Eisner (2010; 2013) sustains the entry of the author's voice through the current artwork, mainly, in the language of the graphic novel. It is the entrance of the language of comics, which allows the introduction of these artistic languages contained within the production of Mutarelli before his debut novel. The hypotheses assert that O Cheiro do Ralo is located at the threshold of the novel and the graphic novel, by transiting between the two genres without fixating on any of them. Whereas the underground language differs from the marginal language through certain artistic procedures, and through the recycling of other languages, such as the grotesque and the language of the streets. It is concluded that O Cheiro do Ralo stands as a mediating work of inclusion of the underground literature supported by the marginal one, which is, in turn, evidenced by the artistic imaginary. The cartoonist converges toward to the contemporary scripture in an original language that tells and shows as image and social voice in the Underground Literature / novela inaugural do cartunista Lourenço Mutarelli.
