”It shouldn’t matter which care-manager you meet, the guidelines should direct us.” : Care-managers’ reflections on assessing the needs for everyday purchases amongst elderly people.Stratoudakis, Jannis, Javadzadeh, Yasamin January 2019 (has links)
The purpose of this study was to contribute to knowledge about how care-managers within the City of Stockholm’s eldercare interpret the concept of reasonable standard of living and experience their discretion when assessing the need for every-day purchases. Eight caremanagers were interviewed from two different city district administrations and the responses were analyzed through thematic content analysis. The informants felt that the concept of reasonable standard of living can be vague and that gray zones may arise when assessing the various needs for every-day purchases. The participants stated that the municipal guidelines play a critical role in giving them guidance during the assessment process, but they also felt limited by the guidelines and they experienced that their discretion is minimal.

Currently, as a result of the pandemic, people's consumption habits have changed. This is since there are more independent workers who began to use social networks to provide services such as plumbing, carpentry, among others. Considering this, our project is based on the creation of an application called Repair & Remodel, which will serve as a means of connectivity for heads of family and Freelancers, who are people dedicated to the construction and decoration of homes located in Lima Metropolitan area. The objective of this application is to allow the FreeLancer to expand its coverage of clients and for the heads of families it will allow them to reduce the search time for the FreeLancer they require in a safe, simple and dynamic way.

Att handla med ett klick : En studie över hur antalet klick påverkar konsumentbeteende / To shop with a click : A study of how the amount of clicks impact consumer behaviorUlvmåne, Caspian, Ermansson, Julia January 2024 (has links)
In this study, we examine how university students in Malmö perceive and respond to the user experience in online shopping, with a focus on the number of clicks required to complete a purchase. The impact of the number of clicks in a purchase process on the website experience are explored using both qualitative and quantitative methods. Students represent a diverse demographic with varying habits and preferences, offering insights into how user interfaces affect their website experience. Quantitative data was collected through a survey distributed to three classes within the Faculty of Technology and Society to ascertain online purchasingbehavior. Qualitative data was gathered through two focus groups, with one conducted in-person and the other online via the Zoom platform. The study targets university students in the field of media technology at Malmö University. While one-click purchasing offers convenience and speed, the study reveals both positive and negative aspects influencing the user experience. User perception of clarity and simplicity in the purchase process outweighs the exact number of clicks required to complete a purchase. Despite students having different preferences, they demonstrate an overall positive attitude towards new UX solutions, provided they do not diminish access to clear and relevant information.

The present research is based on a double observation: both in relation to the literature gap in the field of public policies regarding the role of bureaucrats in the conduct of public procurement, and the author's perception of structuring bottlenecks in the areas of shopping the management of human resources and skills and the need to modernize and enhance these activities. Based on a case study carried out at the Municipal Health Department of São Paulo, the paper analyzes how bureaucrats participating in the purchase of medicines and medical-hospital materials can influence the final result of the acquisition, in other words, the research tries to understand if there is a margin of discretion of the bureaucrats during the public purchase process. For this, some aspects are analyzed, among them, the characteristics of the purchases and the public buyers in the department in question, with data collection and the stages of the purchase process; the level of discretion of bureaucrats and the formal and informal activities they perform at each stage of the procurement process; and also aspects related to the human resource management of the purchasing area, such as the adequacy of courses and training or the relationship between the manager and his/her subordinates.

Menová politika Federálneho rezervného systému v období finančnej a hospodárskej krízy / Monetary policy of the Federal Reserve System during financial and economic crisisBabušák, Martin January 2012 (has links)
The aim of the thesis is to evaluate the effectiveness of measures taken by the Federal Reserve System in response to the 2007 financial crisis that was later joined by economic crisis. It analyzes effects caused by modification of existing programs, creation of new credit programs, support of systemically important institutions by the Fed and programs of outright purchase of selected assets on the open market. The thesis also examines the behavior of the Fed in setting of a target interest rate in longer term, from 2000 to 2011. The thesis verifies the validity of the Taylor rule of monetary policy by using regression analysis. Appendix at the end of the thesis emphasizes the importance of the U.S. dollar in the current international monetary system and the associated implications for the external stability of the U.S. economy.
