O objetivo é entender porque alguns artistas contemporâneos parecem ter predileção pelo vazio e suas manifestações. Desta forma, o estudo apresenta uma reflexão sobre as mudanças ocorridas no período moderno relacionadas à queda da soberania religiosa, a ruptura da arte com as tradições e questões contemporâneas como narcisismo, indiferença e liberdade. Depois realiza-se um estudo sobre a falta comum a todos e as noções de recalque, sublimação e subjetividade na arte, aproximando o estudo da relação entre arte e psicanálise / Abstract: The beginning‟s point of this research was the perception of the often emptiness' representation in contemporary art and in my own production. From this, the next point was to investigate some conceptual and aesthetic aspects related with the notions of void, existence, freedom, indifference and lack. The research's purpose is to understand the reason for this kind of predilection in contemporary art. The study began through a short analysis of some artists and their works, where the empty takes place as privileged part of their poetic. After that, the second step was a reflection about the impacts and modifications in the modern time caused by: the religious' decrease, secession between art and traditions, contemporaries' questions such as individualism, indifference and freedom. This is the origin of its pragmatic value and its ethical consistency. It is a strange formulation considering the idea that the drives are already there, so to speak, as a nature, and that the psyche must be constituted and organized as it controls, dominates, aligns, domesticates, subjugates them and, especially, invests, always through available cultural and symbolic resources. Now, a splitting of the thesis refers to saying that there is a profound difference between the images of the drive, built by not driving bodies, and the driving vision itself. When is it up to the drive and its knowledge? How does it exercise the drive vision? Under what conditions is the drive practiced? And what is the proper time of this practice? These issues are still inside the thesis in question, as still belong to the thesis what we call features of the drive, namely, the features by which the drive or the drives become audible, visible, understandable. The intelligible character of the drive suggests, finally, some logic, the drive logic. Thus we have a drive ethic and a drive logic, a practice and an understanding, with the necessary consequence of conceiving the sublimation as an originating destination from the drive. If this is supported, the split between psyche and the drive should be reviewed, and even what is thought about psychic, when it is seen from a drive perspective. The real, far from being impossible, is not only a matter of experience, as it is a matter of practice. Similarly, the conceptions of order and disorder (or chaos), from the point of view of a psyche, must be rethought. It is not necessary to say that, based on these questions, the concepts of life drive and death drive, including their most critical issues, should also be reviewed. The major interest of this research lies in its practical, clinical - and therefore political, aesthetic... implications. And in what does it invest all the time? In the active character of the analysis. / A tese principal pode ser formulada, de maneira breve, nos seguintes termos: a pulsão é uma prática, um exercício, que pode ou não se dar não se dá naturalmente. Disso decorre seu valor pragmático e sua consistência ética. É uma formulação estranha em face da idéia de que as pulsões já estão aí, por assim dizer, como uma natureza, e que o psiquismo deverá se constituir e se organizar à medida que as controla, domina, alinha, domestica, submete e, sobretudo, investe, sempre por intermédio de recursos simbólicos e culturais disponíveis. Ora, um desdobramento da tese consiste em dizer que há uma diferença profunda entre as imagens da pulsão, construídas por instâncias não pulsionais, e a própria visão pulsional. Quando se está à altura da pulsão e do seu saber? Como se exerce a visão pulsional? Em que condições a pulsão é praticada? E qual o tempo dessa prática? Estas questões são ainda interiores à tese em pauta, como ainda lhe pertencem o que chamamos de traços da pulsão, a saber, os traços pelos quais a pulsão ou as pulsões se tornam audíveis, visíveis, inteligíveis. O caráter inteligível da pulsão sugere, finalmente, uma lógica, uma lógica da pulsão. Temos assim uma ética e uma lógica da pulsão, uma prática e um entendimento, com a conseqüência necessária de concebermos a sublimação como um destino originário da pulsão. Se isto se sustenta, a clivagem entre psiquismo e pulsão deve ser revista, e mesmo o que se pensa sobre o psíquico, quando considerado de um prisma pulsional. O real, longe de ser impossível, não só é uma questão de experiência, como é uma questão de prática. Do mesmo modo, as noções de ordem e desordem (ou caos), do ponto de vista de um psiquismo, precisam ser repensadas. Não é preciso dizer que a partir desses questionamentos, os conceitos de pulsão de vida e pulsão de morte, inclusive em seus reviramentos mais críticos, devem ser igualmente revistos. O interesse maior dessa pesquisa reside em suas implicações práticas, clínicas e logo políticas, estéticas... E em que ela investe todo tempo? No caráter ativo da análise

Neste trabalho analisa-se o comportamento transiente de um modelo unidimensional de ablação por sublimação na sua superfície. Este estudo trata de uma proteção térmica com Teflon, que tem propriedades que são funções da temperatura e está sujeita a um fluxo de calor constante. Emprega-se a consideração de que o material sublimado é substituído por um material fictício e a equação da condução para a entalpia, com um "calor específico efetivo" que considera o calor latente. O cálculo do "calor específico efetivo" é feito a partir da variação da entalpia com a temperatura através de um esquema implícito. Sendo a condutividade térmica função da temperatura, com um alto valor para a fase fictícia, garante-se que não ocorra gradiente de temperatura neste meio para que o fluxo de calor aplicado no contorno original seja conduzido até a localização da fronteira de fases. A influência do método de cálculo da capacidade térmica efetiva é avaliada comparando-se os perfis de temperatura. Estes resultados são decorrentes das simulações numéricas para refinamento da malha, curva da condutividade térmica e intervalo de troca de fase (2DT) nas três metodologias que são: propriedades como função da temperatura do nó com uso do Método de Diferenças Finitas, propriedades como função da temperatura variando linearmente no elemento com uso do Método de Elementos Finitos de Galerkin e propriedades como função da temperatura local no elemento através do Método de Elementos Finitos de Galerkin com integração numérica pela regra de Simpson. Um procedimento implícito no tempo é adotado de maneira a resolver-se um sistema de equações algébricas através do TDMA (algoritmo de Thomas) a cada passo de tempo. Através da análise desenvolvida neste trabalho identifica-se a forma de implementação que mais aproxima-se dos resultados disponíveis na literatura.

Esta pesquisa aponta alguns limites da interpretação da arte realizada por Freud, principalmente em seu ensaio “Dostoiévski e o parricídio", a partir do referencial teórico da Escola de Frankfurt. O ponto central dessa crítica é a excessiva ênfase dada ao artista na elaboração de sua obra, ignorando os demais elementos que a compõem. Procura-se pensar sobre a sublimação em Freud, suas limitações para descrever a arte do século XX, e a tentativa de Adorno em elaborar um novo conceito de expressão. Ainda partindo desse autor, sua análise da obra de Kafka fornece uma compreensão dos diversos momentos que a constituem, como o papel do artista e o que vai além dele, análise que ajuda a pensar as limitações da interpretação de Freud sobre Dostoiévski. Por fim, a reflexão acerca da relação entre arte e psicanálise permite entender que esta última pode trazer luz à compreensão da arte, mas pode também obscurecer certos aspectos importantes de uma obra, que são deixados para trás como superados pelo avanço da ciência. / This research points some limits of the interpretation about art realised by Freud, mainly in his essay “Dostoiévski and parricide", starting from the theoretical reference of Frankfurt’s School. The central point of that critic is the excessive emphasis given to the artist in the elaboration of his work, ignoring other elements that compose it. It tries to promote a reflection about sublimation in Freud, his limitations to describe the art of the 20th century, and Adorno’s attemption in elaborate a new expression concept. It was also considered the author’s analysis of Kafka’s work, what allow a comprehension of several moments that constitute his work as the artist’s function and what goes besides him, analysis that help to think about the limitations of Freud’s interpretation of Dostoiévski. Finally, the reflection about the relationship between art and psychoanalysis allows to understand that last one can bring light to the understanding of the art, but it can also obscure some important aspects of a work, that are left back as overcome by the science progress.

Questionamos em que sentido podemos entender a emergência de uma indústria cultural evangélica como fenômeno de midiatização da religião, e que funções distintas são exercidas por seus produtos no campo religioso. Nossa hipótese de trabalho manifesta uma tensão espiritual, fruto da inserção de um grupo religioso no mundo dos objetos. Teoricamente, mobilizamos proposições sobre a midiatização e sobre a industria cultural. Nessa situação o escopo será verificar manifestações do esvaziamento kenótico e das dialéticas de sublimação e de dessublimação na esfera da cultura religiosa. A metodologia da pesquisa empreende um esforço pela superação das visadas sobre a dominação pela técnica. O corpus reúne produtos muito diversificados, organizados em categorias que revelam ações específicas. Considerando os processos de midiatização da sociedade, percebemos a autonomização do gospel em relação ao campo religioso originário. A produção cultural evangélica aciona operações de instituições distintas; eclesiásticas, econômicas; artísticas. Contudo, é organizada pelo gospel, que centraliza todas as suas disposições. Uma delas, em especial, é bastante simples, e garante o contato de circularidade entre os atores da indústria: evangélicos criam para evangélicos. Nossa pesquisa delineia uma situação social indeterminada, fecunda para produzir inferências sobre a mudança de contextos das instituições pelos processos de midiatização da sociedade. Percebemos essa transformação pelo enfrentamento do campo religioso com o midiático, históricos concorrentes no mister de explicação geral do mundo. / The object of this research is the tension between the market phenomenon, that moves production and consumption of materialities in the evangelical culture, and its religious references. We question in what ways can we understand the emergency of an evangelical cultural industry as a phenomenon of midiatized religion, and which distinct functions are performed by its products in the religious field. Our work hypothesis manifests a spiritual tension, product of the insertion of a religious group in the world of objects. Theoretically, we mobilize propositions about midiatization and cultural industry. In this situation, the scoop will be to verify manifestations of kenotic deflation and of the sublimation and desublimation dialetics in the sphere of religious culture. The research methodology takes an effort to overcome the views about the domination by technique. The corpus gathers very diverse products, organized in categories that reveal specific actions. Considering the midiatization processes in society, we perceive the empowerment of the gospel movement in relation to its original religious field. The evangelical cultural production covers operations from distinct institutions; religious, economical, artistic. It is, nevertheless, organized by the gospel culture, that centralizes all its dispositions. One of them, in particular, is pretty simple, and guarantees the circularity contact among the actors in the industry: evangelicals create for evangelicals. Our research delineates an undetermined social situation, fruitful for making inferences over the context change of the institutions by the midiatization processes in society. We see this transformation by the coping of the religious with the mediatic field, historical competitors in the role of general world explanation.

No conceito de ilusão, buscar-se-á compreender o papel que ela exerce na crença; e no conceito de sublimação, os processos culturais para a formação do fenômeno religioso, bem como a transformação da pulsão sexual em valores superiores. Como contribuição final para este diálogo, Carlos Dominguez Morano e Antoine Vergote farão uma retomada dos conceitos freudianos de ilusão e de sublimação, respectivamente, apontando seus pontos relevantes para a relação do homem com a experiência religiosa. / This work is presented as a point of reflection on the interface between psychoanalysis and religion, based on the dialogue between Sigmund Freud and the psychoanalyst pastor Oskar Pfister. There shall be analyzed the concepts of science and religion referred by both authors in their argumentation in the respective works The future of an illusion and The illusion of a future. This research aims to understand the way those theorists think of culture and its role in the relationship which man establishes with religion. Regarding the concept of illusion, we shall seek to understand its role towards belief, while regarding the concept of sublimation, the cultural processes towards the formation of the religious phenomenon, as well as the transformation of the sexual drive into superior values. As a final contribution to this dialogue, Carlos Dominguez Morano and Antoine Vergote shall reappropriate the Freudian concepts of illusion and sublimation, respectively, pointing to their relevant implications to the relationship between man and the religious experience.

O ser humano continua sendo a espécie diferenciada em meio a uma natureza tão vasta. Seu destaque lhe advém da sua capacidade de abstrair-se do dado imediato, de refletir sobre o mesmo e de lhe conferir significados. Esta sua posição, no entanto, não lhe coloca num lugar privilegiado de centralidade, ou ainda de primazia frente aos outros seres com os quais convive. Impõe-lhe, ao contrário, uma responsabilidade de cuidado sobre todo o cosmos. Por isso, ele está sempre buscando sentidos para o que lhe está em derredor. Entre os inúmeros caminhos trilhados pelo homem nesta busca de significação do mundo, tem sobressaído na contemporaneidade, como um elemento cada vez mais presente e atuante na vida das pessoas, a dimensão religiosa espiritual. Para além de todas as profecias de sua gradativa, mas inexorável, superação/eliminação da história humana e, também, contradizendo as muitas afirmativas feitas a seu respeito pelos vários processos de secularização, ela se encontra em nosso meio com nuances algumas vezes mais intensos e, em outros momentos, menos significativos. No entanto, sempre está presente. Nosso trabalho se apresenta como uma proposta de releitura psicanalítica deste fenômeno, a Religião, que ocupou na construção teórica de Sigmund Freud um lugar bastante significativo, revelando-se como uma realidade que lhe era verdadeiramente inquietante, o que se demonstra pelo número de suas aparições desde os seus primeiros construtos psicanalíticos até às vésperas de sua morte. Ainda que, declarando-se um ateu convicto, S. Freud sempre buscou uma compreensão mais acurada do fenômeno religioso e suas implicações na vida dos sujeitos humanos. Será possível à Religião constituir-se ao ser humano contemporâneo como um caminho sublimatório, em meio a tantos outros, que lhe auxilie na construção de sua subjetividade? O presente estudo foi realizado através de uma pesquisa de cunho bibliográfico dos principais textos de Sigmund Freud referentes à sublimação e ao fenômeno religioso, bem como de estudos realizados por importantes psicanalistas atuais e alguns sociólogos da religião. Nossa pesquisa pretendeu alcançar uma maior compreensão do conceito de sublimação na metapsicologia freudiana tendo em vista sua aplicação na releitura da experiência religiosa nos escritos de Sigmund Freud, superando, desta forma impasses entre as áreas da Psicanálise e da Religião e construindo, ao mesmo tempo, espaços de diálogo e mútuo enriquecimento entre os referidos campos de conhecimento do sujeito humano. / The human being remains as the differentiated species among such a vast nature. Its distinction comes from its ability to abstract itself from the immediate data, to reflect about it and give it meanings. This position, however, does not place him in a privileged place of centrality, or even of primacy over other beings with whom he coexists. It imposes, on the contrary, a responsibility of care over the whole cosmos. Therefore, he is always searching for meanings to what is around him. Among the countless paths that men have gone through during this search for meaning of the world, nowadays there is an element that is getting more and more present and active on the daily lives of people: the religious spiritual dimension. In addition to all the prophecies of its gradual but inexorable overcoming/elimination from human history, and also contradicting the many affirmations made about it by the various processes of secularization, it finds itself in our midst with nuances sometimes more intense and, at other times, less significant. However, it is always present. Our work is presented as a proposal of psychoanalytic re-reading, based on the concept of sublimation, of the religious phenomenon, which occupied very significant place in the theoretical construction of Sigmund S. Freud, revealing itself as a reality that was truly disturbing to him, which is demonstrated by the number of appearances since his first psychoanalytic constructs until the eve of his death. Even declaring himself a "convicted atheist," Freud has always sought a more accurate understanding of the religious phenomenon and its implications in the lives of human subjects. Is it possible for Religion to constitute the contemporary human being as a sublimatory way, among so many others, to assist it in the construction of its subjectivity? The present study was carried out through a bibliographical research of Sigmund Freud's main texts referring to sublimation and religious phenomena, as well as studies carried out by important current psychoanalysts and some sociologists of religion. Our research aimed to reach a greater understanding of the concept of sublimation in Freudian metapsychology in view of its application in re-reading religious experience in Sigmund Freud's writings, thus overcoming impasses between the areas of Psychoanalysis and Religion and, at the same time, Spaces of dialogue and mutual enrichment between the mentioned fields of knowledge of the human subject.
