1	Skönlitteratur från andra delar av världen : En kvalitativ studie om hinder och möjligheter i undervisningspraktiken. / Fiction from other parts of the world : A qualitative study of the obstacles and possibilities in the teaching practice. Biria, Sonia, Shehadeh, Samira January 2018 (has links) Syftet med det här examensarbetet har varit att belysa en undervisningspraktik med särskilt fokus på arbete med skönlitteratur från andra delar av världen i svenskämnet årskurs 7-9. Idag lever elever i ett samhälle tillsammans med medborgare som har olika etnicitet och som kommer från olika kulturer. Eftersom eleverna möter olika kulturer är det viktigt för dem att utveckla en interkulturell medvetenhet kring andra livsförhållanden, inte bara i den västerländska delen av världen utan även övriga delar. För att kunna belysa studiens syfte genomförde vi en kvalitativ undersökning där vi intervjuade sex verksamma svensklärare i högstadiet. Intervjufrågorna var specifikt utformade för att undersöka lärarnas undervisningspraktik inom vårt forskningsområde. Efter en noggrant genomförd datainsamling och analys av data visade att det förekom skönlitteratur från skilda delar av världen dock med viss begränsning i den undersökta undervisningspraktiken. Detta var bland annat på grund av för lite kunskap hos lärarna och för lite resurser i verksamheten. Endast skönlitterära böcker av västerländskt ursprung där eleverna får ett andrahandsperspektiv på utom västerländska länder och dess levnadsvillkor, förekom i undervisningen. 2	Världslitteraturen i det svenska klassrummet : En diskursanalys av det litterära urvalet i läromedel inomsvenskämnet i gymnasiet Backman, Michael January 2019 (has links) Syftet med detta examensarbete är att undersöka tre läroböckers skönlitterära urval, samt undersöka hur läroboksförfattarna motiverar sina skönlitterära urval. Studien använder även metoden diskursanalys genom att undersöka läromedlen med en kvalitativ textanalys i syfte att synliggöra bakomliggande kanondiskurser. Studien analyserar även Skolverkets kunskapskrav gällande skönlitteratur utifrån en postkolonial litteraturteori. Resultatet visar att samtliga tre läroböcker till stor del presenterar västerländska författare även om enstaka icke västerländska författare ibland nämns. Två av läroböckerna har även fokus på litteraturhistoria och har delat in skönlitterära verk i epoker i sin framställning. Det västerländska kanondiskursen i kombination med epokframställningen är enligt studien en bidragande orsak till att läroböckerna inte lyfter in annan litteratur från andra delar av världen. Den litteraturhistoriska inriktningen tycks enligt studien lägga fokus på Europa och västvärlden och stänger ute annan litteratur från andra delar av världen, vilket även studiens postkoloniala teorier visar. Resultatet av analysen av Skolverkets kunskapskrav visade på vissa vaga och svårdefinierade termer. Skolverket använder termer som ”internationell litteratur”, ”epoker” och ”idéströmningar” när de skall beskriva litteraturen. Vid en mer djupgående analys av termerna, och med hjälp av teorierna om kanon och världslitteratur, fanns ett visst stöd för att läroplanen bidrar till en litteraturhistorisk epokinledning med västerländsk inriktning. 3	Det allmänmänskligas betydelse för litteraturundervisning i GY 2011 : Världslitteratur och narrativ kompetens som ämnesdidaktiska strategier / ”For mankind in general”: Tracing the notion of world literature in GY2011 and an approach to didactic strategies for teaching literature in today’s upper secondary school. Ekroth, Isak January 2014 (has links) This essay examines the specific uses of literature and the implications of the expression det allmänmänskliga (what is common to all mankind) emphasized in the subject of Swedish in the curriculum for the Swedish upper secondary school, GY 2011. Using discourse analysis as a method, this essay shows that the phrase det allmänmänskliga suggests teaching literature as a way to emphasize universal experiences over time and place, thus revealing an implication of the nineteenth-century idea of World Literature. Furthermore, this essay shows that the challenges inherent in the phrase det allmänmänskliga, and its implications for World Literature, require new didactic strategies and approaches to designing courses and teaching literature. In relation to this, the essay examines theories that focus on approaches to teaching World Literature and the uses of narration as a means to understand and emphasize the specifics of World Literature and the universal experiences. The final part of this essay examines the recent use of the concept of narrativ kompetens (narrative competence) emphasizing interaction and key elements of the reading experience as a specific way to understand and approach fiction. This essay concludes that the inherent benefits of narrativ kompetens combined with approaches to teaching World Literature, seem to offer great possibilities fulfilling the obligations and the specific uses of literature suggested in the curriculum for the Swedish upper secondary school. Syftet är att undersöka lärares beskrivna arbetssätt och motiv till att välja denna litteratur till sin undervisning. Postkolonial teori, interkulturellt lärande och det litteraturteoretiska begreppet främmandegöring utgör tillsammans ett teoretiskt ramverk för studien. Det empiriska materialet består av fyra semi-strukturerade intervjuer med svensklärare på gymnasienivå. Resultatet indikerar att lärarna finner det aktuellt att genom världslitteratur lyfta fram allmänmänskliga teman, demokratiska frågor och kulturell mångfald. Således är likheter och skillnader mellan människor en av flera aspekter som lärarna berör. En potentiell problematik som resultatet påvisar är att lärarna uppfattar att elever tolkar skönlitteratur dokumentärt. / The present study focuses on how upper-secondary school teachers consider the possibility of integrating world literature and texts from other cultures in the Swedish subject. The aim is to examine teachers' narrations of their teaching and their motifs for choosing world literature as part of their teaching. Postcolonial theory, intercultural learning and the literary term estrangement constitute the theoretical framework. The empirical material involves four semi-structured interviews with Swedish subject teachers. The result suggests that the teachers find it relevant to use world literature as a context for discussing universal human themes, democratic issues and cultural diversity. Accordingly, similarities and differences between people are one of several aspects that the teachers address. The result raises one potential problem where the teachers report that students tend to interpret fiction documentary. 5	Litteratur i transit : Svensk presentation och reception av transkulturell litteratur kring millennieskiftet / Literature in Transit Frånander, Jonas January 2023 (has links) This study deals with the reception of world literature novels and authorships between 1997 and 2003. The study analyses the Swedish book publishers' presentations and the newspaper reviews of fifteen authors and novels from geographical areas that are seen to be peripheral to Swedish culture. Using Gerard Genette's concept of paratext and various evaluation categories, the study explores how presentation and reception situate so-called peripheral authorships. With a discourse analytical approach, the study identifies the themes and tropes used to situate these authorships and what kind of norms govern the peripheral literature. Taking a step from the focus on the worldling processes of world literature which usually occupies postcolonial oriented studies, this thesis rather highlights the valuing processes of world literature. The analysis consists of four parts. The first part demonstrates how the novels are introduced with almost exoticising statements. Thus, paradoxically, inclusion also means exclusion, as the authorships are presented as a cultural other. The second part highlights two different legitimisation strategies, either by attributing the authorship to a Eurocentric or Anglo-Saxon context or solely to the author's own literary continent. The third part focuses on how publishers and reviewers determine literary value through the knowledge that novels and authorships convey about other cultures and societies. The authorship can be attributed to social and emotional values in these first three parts. The statements rely on the particularities of authorship as truth-tellers for their own culture. The fourth part, focuses on statements that do not revolve around the author's geographical starting point, but instead on the author as standing between or across cultures. In these cases, values of authenticity, originality, style and form are attributed. 6	Att marknadsföra översatt litteratur : En komparativ analys av den tyska utgivningen av Sara Stridsbergoch den svenska utgivningen av Silke Scheuermann Rüegg, Jana January 2016 (has links) Adapting literature from a cultural context to another is the main theme of my master's thesis. The aim is to determine how publishing houses adapt a book from a different cultural context to their own, and if there are any specific marketing choices being made during the publishing process.The thesis highlights two authors, Sara Stridsberg from Sweden and Silke Scheuermann from Germany. Interviews have been made with the publishers, editors and translators of the translated novels. One of the main themes is to be able to showcase differences between the Swedish and the German publishing business and their particular cultural characteristics in working with translated novels. I have found that the brand of a publishing house is important when making publishing decisions. For larger publishing houses, the economical capital is of importance, and for smaller publishing houses the cultural capital tends to be of a higher value.
