Den här rapporten bygger på en studie inom Informationsdesign inriktning textdesign, och handlar om hur patos och logos kan användas i ett informationsmaterial för att påverka och uppmuntra till ett önskat beteende. Miljöfrågor är ständigt aktuella och år efter år syns en ökning av nedskräpning i naturen. Världsnaturfonden meddelade år 2017 att om nedskräpningen fortsätter öka i samma takt kan det finnas mer skräp, framför allt plast, än fisk i haven år 2050. Trots dyra kampanjer, stora evenemang och mycket information verkar inte trenden vända. En anledning till det kan vara att allmänheten vet om problemet men saknar motivation till att göra något för att förbättra miljön.  Studiens syfte är att med hjälp av principer inom informationsdesign, tillsammans med retorikens patos och logos, ta fram informationsmaterial som kan uppmuntra till minskad nedskräpning för att se vilka som upplevs vara mest effektiva. Med teorier inom retorik, stilistik, nudging samt grafisk form, text och bild i samverkan och med resultat från en enkätundersökning och en intervju, blev gestaltningen fyra olika informationsskyltar. Två av skyltarna fokuserar på logos och två fokuserar på patos. En utprovning gjordes också för att undersöka vilka två skyltar som verkar ha störst effekt på allmänhetens attityd och beteende. / This report is based on a study in Information Design focusing on text design, and is about how pathos and logos can be used in an information material to influence and encourage a desired behavior.  Environmental issues are constantly relevant and year after year there is an increase in litter in nature. The World Wide Fund for Nature announced in 2017 that if litter continues to increase at the same rate, there may be more litter, especially plastic, than fish in the oceans by year 2050. Despite expensive campaigns, major events and a lot of information, the trend does not seem to reverse. One reason for this may be that the public knows about the problem but lacks the motivation to do something to improve the environment. The purpose of the study is to use various principles in information design, combined with the pathos and logos of rhetoric, to produce information material that can encourage to reduce littering to see which ones are perceived to be most effective. With theories in rhetoric, stylistics, nudging and graphic form, text and image in collaboration and with results from a survey and an interview, the design became four different information signs. Two of the signs focus on logos and two focus on pathos. A test was also done to investigate which two signs seem to have the greatest effect on the public's attitude and behavior.

Puisque le Sophiste de Platon nous semble être un proème à plusieurs écrits logiques d'Aristote, nous nous sommes introduits à la technique de recherche qu'est la méthode des Aôyoï. Pour ce faire, nous avons analysé en détail la démarche de l'essence des pêcheurs à la ligne. L'étude de cette démarche nous a amené à dégager les propriétés principales de la méthode: elles sont avant tout à découvrir dans les sens multiples du mot « Aoyoç ». Pour autant que le mot « Aôyoç » signifie une explication, c'est-à-dire un entrelacement vocal d'un minimum de deux noms autres par l'espèce, il diffère d'un autre « Aoyoç », qui renvoie à la phrase énonciative. L'art d'expliquer et de faire des phrases qu'est la méthode des Aôyoi présuppose l'emploi des cinq prédicables ainsi qu'une connaissance de base des propriétés physiques et grammaticales des mots.

A partir d’une lecture exégétique et philosophique de l’évangile et de textes qui ont pu l’influencer, notre dissertation vise à démontrer que, selon Jean, l’Esprit est la puissance qui permet au Christ de s’étendre dans l’espace et le temps par l’intermédiaire de l’écrit et du rite. D’un point de vue synchronique, en effet, tout se passe comme si l’Esprit (PNEUMA) actualisait l’œuvre du Christ pour ceux qui ne l’ont pas connu, d’une part à travers une initiation textuelle, celle de l’évangile lui-même, d’autre part à travers une initiation sacramentelle que le texte laisse entrevoir. D’un point de vue diachronique, notre recherche conclut que la pneumatologie du quatrième évangile emprunte librement à la cosmologie de Philon d’Alexandrie, à la théologie sacramentelle de Paul, voire aux réflexions sur l’inspiration menées dans d’autres pièces du corpus johannique. En ce qui concerne la pneumatologie de l’évangile, nous défendons donc la thèse de la cohérence, qui tient à un référent culturel commun, le moyen platonisme, et à un processus de réinterprétation des parties plus anciennes du texte dans les plus récentes. / Doctorat en Philosophie / info:eu-repo/semantics/nonPublished

The translation of fast-food advertising texts from English to Arabic

On the assumption that the translation strategies used to translate American fast-food advertisements into Arabic cause the Arabic translations to be culturally bound to their originals, the aim of the present study is to identify such translation strategies. The study was conducted with the aid of questionnaires as a primary research method to obtain data which are then complemented by means of textual analyses of the corpus. The findings reveal that the main translation strategies used to translate phrases in fast-food advertisements from English into Arabic are borrowing and transliteration. The overall finding is that inadequate translations of culture-specific concepts, phrases, logos and terms produce target texts which are bound to the source texts. Syftet med denna studie är att beskriva hur svenska banker använder retorik i sin miljöredovisning i hållbarhetsrapporter för att svara på externt tryck. Studiens ska ge läsare av miljöredovisning i hållbarhetsrapporter en bättre förståelse för hur svenska banker använder retorik i sina hållbarhetsrapporter för att återfå eller behålla legitimitet. Studien bygger på en kvalitativ forskningsmetod. För att studera hur miljöredovisningen i svenska bankers hållbarhetsrapporter förändras från år 2015 till 2017 har en textanalys med retorisk orientering genomförts. Genom legitimitetsteorin och tidigare forsknings insatser har det erhållna resultatet kunnat tolkas. De olika argumentationsmedlen, det vill säga ethos, logos och pathos, används av de svenska bankerna för att svara på externt tryck beträffande bankernas indirekta miljöpåverkan. Däremot finns det, som svar på externt tryck, ingen enhetlig användning av de olika argumentationsmedlen ethos, logos och pathos i de svenska bankernas miljöredovisning i hållbarhetsrapporter. Retoriken ändras på olika sätt för att svara på externt tryck. Ethos-argumentation används av majoriteten av bankerna vid mindre tryck för att förhindra att legitimitetsgap uppstår och logos-argumentation används vid större tryck från media för att stänga legitimitetsgapet. Det tredje argumentationsmedlet, pathos, används när banken inte i hög utsträckning har arbetat med den indirekta miljöpåverkan. Studien utökar kunskapen i studieområdet genom att ha studerat retorik i hållbarhetsrapporter samt företag med indirekt miljöpåverkan, alltså banker. För vidare forskning hade det varit till fördel att jämföra banker som överhuvudtaget inte får tryck gällande sina investeringar med banker som får direkt tryck samt att studera ett längre tidsförlopp. / The purpose of this study is to describe how Swedish banks use rhetoric in their environmental disclosures to respond to external pressure. The study will give readers of environmental reports a better understanding of how Swedish banks use rhetoric in their sustainability reports to regain or retain legitimacy. The study is based on a qualitative research method. To study how the environmental disclosure in Swedish banks' sustainability reports changes from 2015 to 2017, a text analysis with rhetorical orientation has been carried out. The result obtained has been interpreted through legitimacy theory and previous research efforts.The various means of argumentation, ie ethos, logos and pathos, are used by the Swedish banks to respond to external pressure on the banks' indirect environmental impact. However, in response to external pressure, there is no uniform use of the different arguments of ethos, logos and pathos in the Swedish banks' environmental disclosure in sustainability reports. The rhetoric changes in different ways to respond to external pressure. Ethos argumentation is used by the majority of banks at less pressure to prevent legitimacy gaps from arising and logos argumentation is used at greater pressures from the media to close the legitimacy gap. The third means of argument, pathos, is used when the bank has not worked a lot with the indirect environmental impact. The study expands the knowledge in the study area by having studied the rhetoric in the sustainability reports of companies with indirect environmental impact, ie banks. For further research, it would have been advantageous to compare banks that invest sustainably with banks that do not invest sustainably and to study a longer time period.

CREAS is a public unity created based on the guidelines of the National Policy of Social Assistance (PNAS) and covers Special Social Protection (PSE) of Medium Complexity, offering care to families and individuals who find themselves in situations of personal or social risk through the threats or violation of rights, including women in situations of violence. This was a qualitative research of phenomenological nature based on the principles formulated by the German philosopher Edmund Husserl. The researcher carried out individual dialogic encounters with six participants including female psychologists and social workers. Each encounter started with a guiding question related to the research?s theme to enable the participants to speak freely about their experiences. After each encounter, the researcher constructed a comprehensive narrative from her impressions of the participant?s experience. After this stage, a synthesis narrative was elaborated containing the meaningful elements of the experience as a whole in order to get closer to the essential structure of the phenomenon. The constituting elements of the experience were as follow: (1) the participants realized that some professionals at the network of women care reproduce prejudiced attitudes, contributing to the victimization of patients; (2) the participants do not see themselves as protagonists in the institution?s decisionmaking, which leads to feelings of frustration and powerlessness; (3) the participants develop attitudes of empathy and identify personally with the stories of these women in situation of violence and (4) during their meetings with these women, participants feel lonely due to the fact that the care network proves itself ineffective in real life ? still, they value the work they do. In summary, there is a great need for interdisciplinary studies that aim to understand the experience of professionals, patients, and perpetrators of violence in the daily routine of the several institutions that compose the network of assistance to women in situation of violence so to make it possible to overcome the problems pointed out in this research and improve public policies. / Esta pesquisa objetivou compreender a experi?ncia de profissionais que atendem mulheres em situa??o de viol?ncia em um Centro de Refer?ncia Especializado de Assist?ncia Social (CREAS). O CREAS ? uma unidade p?blica gerada a partir das diretrizes da Pol?tica Nacional de Assist?ncia Social (PNAS) e abrange a Prote??o Social Especial (PSE) de M?dia Complexidade, oferecendo atendimento a fam?lias e indiv?duos que se encontram em situa??o de risco pessoal ou social por amea?a ou viola??o de direitos, incluindo mulheres em situa??o de viol?ncia. Consistiu-se em uma pesquisa qualitativa de natureza fenomenol?gica embasada nos princ?pios formulados pelo fil?sofo alem?o Edmund Husserl. A pesquisadora realizou encontros dial?gicos individuais com seis participantes que inclu?ram psic?logas e assistentes sociais, todas mulheres. Os encontros foram iniciados com uma quest?o norteadora relacionada ao tema da pesquisa de forma a possibilitar ?s participantes discorrer livremente sobre suas pr?prias experi?ncias. Ap?s cada encontro, a pesquisadora construiu uma narrativa compreensiva a partir das suas impress?es sobre a experi?ncia da participante. Conclu?da esta etapa, foi elaborada uma narrativa s?ntese contendo os elementos significativos da experi?ncia como um todo, a fim de se aproximar da estrutura essencial do fen?meno. Os elementos constituintes da experi?ncia em pauta foram os seguintes: (1) as participantes percebem que alguns profissionais da rede de aten??o ? mulher reproduzem atitudes preconceituosas que contribuem para a vitimiza??o das usu?rias; (2) as participantes n?o se percebem como protagonistas nas tomadas de decis?o por parte da institui??o e, em decorr?ncia, sentem-se frustradas e impotentes; (3) as participantes desenvolvem atitudes de empatia e identificam-se pessoalmente com as hist?rias vividas pelas mulheres em situa??o de viol?ncia e (4) nos atendimentos ?s mulheres, as participantes sentem-se solit?rias em fun??o da rede de atendimento n?o se mostrar efetiva na pr?tica; apesar disto valorizam o trabalho que desenvolvem. ¿Por qué plantear como problema el principio del proceso creativo en el arte en vez de lo bello en sí? Este último no es un problema que prime en el trabajo creativo del artista de hoy, como tampoco lo fue en los artistas de ayer, a pesar de haber sido y de ser un tema relevante para los filósofos. Desde la plataforma de los que somos artistas plásticos o visuales, el proceso creativo sí es parte de nuestra rutina.
