Un rebond au singulier pluriel : l'après-transmission du cédant mature en PME / A singular-plural rebound : post-succession of the mature SME transferor

Stéphan, Sylvie 23 October 2012 (has links)
The aim of the present research is to provide a theoretical, empirical and practical exploration of post- succession, from the perspective of the transferor who has transferred a healthy or apparently healthy SME for a reason other than retirement. Following a pilot case study, the research focused on the investigation of the voluntary post-succession of the mature SME transferor, as an opportunity for pluridimensional rebound. The conceptual framework emerges from theories of midlife psychosocial development, adult cognitive style development and reinvestment strategy and the concept of multiple identities. Based on a study of multiple cases, using eight units of analysis, the results lead to the understanding of the rebound dynamics of the mature SME transferor (1), modelling of the rebound process associated with the development of the status of transferor/reinvestor (2) and the formulation of a taxonomy of individual rebound trajectories (3). Finally, the post- succession of the mature SME transferor is revealed to be a “singular-plural” rebound.

Salvador

Management de la reprise par un tiers : le cas des TPE saines / Management of the recovery by a third party : the case of healthy TPE

Mouhli, Karim 07 October 2016 (has links)
TPE are playing an important role in the French economic dynamism. Each year, thousands of them are transmitted. This phenomenon is not new, but the demographic evolution of French TPE leadership tends to create a major concern for political and economic decision makers. The majority of them and, for a growing share ours times by external individuals buyers with no connection to the company. The development of this type of transmission is not coming without its problems. Ignorance of the company, its environment by the buyer increases the already great difficulties of the recovery (Deschamps and Paturel, 2009). The arrival in the company of an external buyer is often experienced by employees as an interruption, a major organizational change that could jeopardize the continuation of the activity. The fact that the company is healthy at redemption interfere with the way the change is apprehended by the employees. This can be interpreted as a threat, the possibility of losing a satisfactory situation before. The specificities characterizing the TPE make the event particularly intense emotional and relational. This study aims to explore the inauguration of the buyer, the last step repreneurial process, through interaction between actors. Based on a multiple case study (10 cases analyzed, 31 interviews), the results show a process called collective reconstruction of post-recovery direction. They also show the existence of a number of individual, organizational and contextual factors with significant influence on the process.

Women in Transition: Experiences of Asian Women International Students on U.S. College Campuses

Jeyabalasingam, Siva 01 January 2011 (has links)
Often referred to as people in transition, international students usually arrive in the U.S. with a clear sense of their academic goals; however, they often have not considered what their lives will be like or how they may change in non-academic ways. In addition to the typical level of university-related stress, international students face additional problems and difficulties generated in part by the cultural differences between the U.S. and their own countries. This is particularly true for Asian students. Of several studies that have investigated the experiences of international students in the U.S., only a handful have examined Asian students' unique experiences of acculturation, and although the number of Asian women students in the U.S. is increasing, there are even fewer studies about them. This study served as a corrective to these tendencies by focusing specifically on the transformative experiences of Asian women international students (AWIS). Utilizing autoethnographic and ethnographic methodologies, the researcher conducted a qualitative study, exploring in depth the lived experiences of eleven Asian women in cultural transition. The findings bring to light rich and conflicting emotional, cognitive, and interpersonal experiences and strategies of AWIS, who attempt to balance the cultural and familial injunctions of their parents (e.g., Bring Honor, Stay Asian, and Obey Us or Else) with the freedom and opportunities of American culture and campus life. The findings of this research will be relevant to various stakeholders. University administrators and staff, particularly professionals in student affairs and, more specifically, those working with international students and/or in student counseling centers, will benefit from a nuanced understanding of the complexities of these students' lives. Both researchers and clinicians will gain an appreciation for how a systemic focus can be maintained while interviewing individuals. Clinicians will also be better equipped to handle the cultural complexities encountered by these women and to provide culturally sensitive counseling.

Tuzza, Simone 08 1900 (has links)
In order to fill a lack of knowledge about the most “political” task of police work: policing protest, this thesis proposes a new perspective on the relationship between police and politics. In order to do so, the objective of the research is to answer a main problem that can be summarized as follows: how do the police perceive the demands of governmental authorities and to what extent do police officers adhere to their role during policing protest? To answer this central question, sub-questions have been formulated to understand : a) the functioning of the chain of command during policing protest in Italy; b) with regard to the chain of command and at the field level, how the police interpret their mandate in relation to the management of public order; c) whether the police (both management and field agents) and government authorities share the same vision of public order management (or not); d) and, if expectations of the political authorities are met by the police in the mandate of public order activities. The aim was therefore not to define the phenomenon being analysed, but to highlight some of its dimensions, or rather, those that appear less explored in the literature on the subject. In order to answer these questions, this work will put forward a reading of the police which will move away from both the criterion of autonomy and that of the police's filiation to State power (Brodeur, 1984). According to the interpretative perspective of this text, police institutions are an integral part of society, participate in its attempts at political organization and governance (Palidda, 2010; 2000) and act as “moral entrepreneurs”, in agreement and in concert with political institutions (Becker, 1966). From a methodological point of view, this study is based on 14 face-to-face interviews with members of the Italian police force and politicians, 189 transcripts of testimonies of police officers and politicians in the trial against the No Tav demonstrators, as well as 77 press articles. Discussing the relationship between the police and political power that seems to be present during policing protests, the ultimate goal of this research is to understand how the police resolve the multiple tensions that run through their profession and which are particularly prevalent in the context of large-scale citizen mobilizations, between policing and respect for freedom of expression; but also between a police force at the service of citizens and a political police force. In other words, this study attempts to highlight the complexity and interconnections of the role of the police facing policing protest, and in relation to politics. The common thread that this text will gradually reveal is the privileged link that the political power establishes with the police institution and the process at the origin of this interaction. In order to do so, the study will start from an analysis of the different functions within the police IV chain of command and by continuing the search for points of connection with the political universe - not only within the police institutions, but also outside in the political frame of reference where the link between police and politics finds fertile ground, is nourished and comes to fruition -, the analysis will focus on the critical aspects that this relationship brings to the operational level of the police. It can be seen that the demands of political power have a direct influence on the technical-operational choices of the police, much more than one would have imagined at the outset. This study reveals a relatively unknown image of an Italian police force which must face the challenges of government authorities in order to carry out its mandate of maintaining public order. In other words, the alleged independence and professionalization of the Italian police is unfinished business and is a sensitive issue, especially when it comes to analysing the functioning of policing protest. It follows that the image of the police as a professional body, independent and in control of its own operational choices, must be called into question, at least as far as the Italian case in question is concerned.

Gobeil, Cloé 11 1900 (has links)
This study aims to better understand the life trajectories of independent sex workers by focusing on the process of initiation into the sex industry, the variations in practices, as well as the risks of victimization and the strategies implemented. to limit these risks. To do so, a qualitative methodology was mobilized where thirteen independent sex workers were led to elaborate on their life trajectory, from their childhood until the moment of the interview. The results illustrate varied entry points and multiple motivations for offering paid sexual services. Some started as an erotic dancer or as an erotic masseuse, while others started directly as an independent escort If financial needs prove to be an element influencing their entry into the sex industry, we note that it does not, on its own, allow sex workers to remain in the industry. We therefore observe an evolution of motivations during their trajectory. Finally, the risks of victimization incurred stem directly from their relationship with the clients, but the way of filtering them seems to considerably limit the acts of victimization. In parallel, this thesis illustrates the amplification of the vulnerability of independent sex workers due to the marginalization and legislative measures surrounding the sex industry.
