Master project is dedicated to design nearly zero-energy office building with retail spaces in Žilina. The first part deals with architectural – building design. Building is designed for the plot nr. 7011 with flat surface and there is no other building. The building has three above-ground floors and one underground floor. Retail spaces are on the ground floor. The building is constructed on foundation strips and pads. The building is made of combined load-bearing structural system of reinforced concrete columns and external walls. External load-bearing structures of above ground floors are designed from reinforced concrete and Ytong system supplemented by ETICS made of mineral wool. Underground walls are made from watertight concrete. Floor slab structures are made from reinforced concrete. The building is covered with green warm flat roof. The second part deals with building interior installation. The primary source of heat, coldness and hot water is the heat pump. Ventilation in the building is provided by heating, ventilating and air conditioning (HVAC) units. The third part of the thesis includes the design and assessment of the photovoltaic power plant in terms of economics and ecology. The project was carried out in the AutoCad system. All structures comply with the valid standards and regulations.

The diploma thesis deals with the development of the vacant lot in Prague - Libeň at the PCB level. A multifunctional house is designed, which includes three establishments and eleven housing units. The premises will be used as shops. The apartments are designed for 2 to 4-member families. Multifunctional house floor plan with a total area of 683.1 square meters. The building has a basement with five floors, the premises are located on the first floor. There is a pedestrian and driveway to the building. Behind the object away from the main road is an outdoor parking lot. The underground garage will be accessed by a car elevator. The whole building is covered with a sloping roof. The project is processed using the computer program AutoCAD.

Denna studie fokuserar på tänkbara takstolslösningar hos garage med inredd vind. Där textförfattarna på uppdrag av AB Karl Hedin vars kunders önskemål ibland varit svåra att uppnå. Detta för att stora spännvidder efterfrågas för att skapa en så stor yta på vinden som möjligt. Kunderna efterfrågar även att garageytan skall vara helt öppen, alltså utan bärhjälp av till exempel pelare eller mellanvägg.Det finns många olika sätt att uppföra tänkbara takstolar för garage med inredd vind, problem tillkommer när spännvidderna blir för stora. Problemen grundar sig både i materialanvändning, konstruktionslösningar och dimensioner. För att konstruera en takstol i dagsläget styrs byggandet av byggkonstruktionskrav, laster och beräkningsmodeller beroende på önskad spännvidd hos takstolen, samt vilket användningsområde vindsutrymmet ska ha.Med hjälp av bland annat litteraturstudie, beräkningar och analyser har förslag diskuterats fram på konstruktionsdelar, material och utvecklingsmöjligheter för takstolarna i fråga. Utifrån vald spännvidd har olika lösningar granskats för att uppnå ett så gott resultat som möjligt. Beräkningarna har visat att en samverkande stödbensvägg är en bra metod som förlänger spännvidden upp till 2m på en byggnad. Bärlina i stål har även visat sig vara en bra konstruktionslösning som förlänger golvbjälkarnas spännvidd. Med vald dimension på stålbalk i denna studie måste djupet på byggnaden beaktas för att uppfylla konstruktionsskarven gällande momentkraft och nedböjning.Materialens egenskaper samt tilltänkta metoder för att lösa problemet med stora spännvidder har sedan jämförts mot varandra för att komma fram till vilken metod som är bäst lämpad för tilltänkt ändamål. Materialen som valts till jämförelsen är de material som takstolstillverkaren idag har tillgång till i sin produktion vilket gör att textförfattarna anser att materialen är väsentliga för studien. / This study focuses on possible roof truss solutions in garages with furnished attics. The text writers, on behalf of AB Karl Hedin whose customers' wishes have sometimes been difficult to achieve. This is because large spans are needed to create as large an area in the attic as possible. Customers also request the garage area to be completely open, namely. Without the carrying aid of, for example, pillars or partitions. There are many ways to erect conceivable rafters for garages with furnished attic, problems are added when the spans become too large. The problems are based on both material use, construction solutions and dimensions. To design a rafter at present time, the construction of construction requirements, loads and calculation models is controlled depending on the desired span of the rafters, as well as the area of use in the attic space. With the help of, among other things, literature study, calculations and analyses, proposals have been discussed on construction parts, materials and development opportunities for the rafters in question. Based on the chosen range, different solutions have been reviewed to achieve the best possible result. The calculations have shown that a collaborative support leg wall is a good method that extends the span up to 2m on a building. Steel carrying line has also proven to be a good construction solution that extends the span of the floor beams. With the chosen dimension of steel beam in this study, the depth of the building must be considered to meet the construction requirements regarding torque force and deflection. The properties of the materials and the intended methods for solving the problem of large spans have since been compared against each other to determine which method is best suited for the intended purpose. The material properties chosen for the comparison are the materials that the roof truss manufacturer currently has access to, which was a limitation for this study.

This is a project on the topic of living and working and it consists of two parts. The first is a research thesis analyzing the development of the atelier typology from the 1860s until today. The second part is a proposal for a new architectural typology, that combines spaces for dwelling with those of production and labor. The project is set in Stockholm. My study shows a gradual loss of the concept of the atelier as a combined/multifaceted typology. Throughout the years studied, the place to produce has gradually separated itself from both the space of dwelling and the place of consumption. My interest lies in speculating on bringing them together again, in my proposal for a new architectural typology; the ’super villa garage’. To briefly conclude, I here identify the atelier as a place of convergence between cultural production and domestic life. A space that blurs the line between the two spheres and challenges the division of dwelling and labor. As a typology that shifts the boundaries between the private, the communal, and the public I believe that it has the potential to generate new ways of living and working, as well as give new possibilities for interaction and integration with local contexts.

Syfte: I Sverige råder det en stor bostadsbrist. En lösning för att skapa nya bostäder i tätbebyggda områden är vertikal förtätning. Detta kan ske via våningspåbyggnad av bostäder på parkeringshus. Denna typ av påbyggnad ställer dock krav på den befintliga byggnaden. Rapportens syfte är att fungera som ett underlag vid projektering av konstruktion, brand och installationer vid framtida projekt av liknande slag. Målet är vidare att analysera och sammanställa olika byggnadstekniska lösningar som används vid våningspåbyggnad av bostäder på parkeringshus. Detta skall besvaras genom följande frågeställningar: Vilka konstruktionstyper tillämpas vid våningspåbyggnad på ett parkeringshus och vilka krav ställer påbyggnaden på den befintliga stommen? Vilka brandkrav ställs på denna typ av våningspåbyggnad och hur uppfylls dessa? Hur förses påbyggnaden med installationer? Metod: Rapporten bygger på en kvalitativ fallstudie där intervjuer och dokumentanalyser legat till grund för empirin. För att styrka studien med teori har en litteraturstudie genomförts. Resultat: Resultatet visar att en lätt stomme har använts till samtliga våningspåbyggnader, däremot har valet av stommaterial skiljt sig åt. Kapaciteten på den befintliga byggnadens grund har varit avgörande för om en våningspåbyggnad varit möjlig. Placering av våningspåbyggnaden har berott på om boyta eller antalet parkeringsplatser prioriterats högst. Brandkraven på denna typ av byggnad kan likställas med kraven som ställs på en nybyggnad av bostäder. Detta har inneburit att förändringar på de befintliga parkeringshusen varit nödvändiga för att uppfylla kraven. Nya installationsschakt har placerats både in- och utvändigt av den befintliga byggnaden. Konsekvenser: De slutsatser och rekommendationer, utifrån rapportens innehåll, består främst av vikten i att göra en noggrann inventering av den befintliga byggnaden. Det handlar om byggnadens kapacitet och vilka eventuella förstärkningsarbeten som krävs innan en våningspåbyggnad. Begränsningar: Studien avgränsar sig från byggnadstekniska beräkningar och ekonomiska kalkyler. Arbetet har begränsats utifrån en viss mängd ord och tidsram, utan dessa hade möjligheten funnits att göra en mer djupgående analys av studiens referensobjekt. Detta genom att intervjua ytterligare aktörer inom fler konsultområden för de valda referensobjekten. / Purpose: In Sweden, there is a shortage of housing and a solution for creating new housing in urban areas is vertical densification. Vertical densification can be done by adding floors of housing on top of existing parking garages. This type of extension sets demands on the existing building. The purpose of this thesis is to serve as a basis for the planning of construction, fire requirements and installations for future similar projects. The goal is furthermore to analyze and compile various building-technical solutions that are used when floors of housing are built on top of existing parking garages. The goal is answered by the following questions: Which types of construction are used for additional floors of housing on top of parking garages and what requirements does the extension have on the existing building? What fire requirements are imposed on this type of extension and how are they fulfilled? How are the additional floors of housing provided with installations? Method: The report is based on a qualitative case study in which interviews and document analysis formed the basis of empirical data. To confirm the study with theory, a literature study has been conducted. Findings: The result shows that a light framework has been used for additional floors of housing, however, the choice of framework material has been different. The capacity of the existing building's foundation has been vital for whether an extension with housing has been possible. Placement of the extension has been due to whether the living space or the number of parking spaces is given as the highest priority. The fire requirements for this type of building can be equated with the requirements imposed on a new building of housing. This has meant that changes to the existing parking garages have been necessary to meet the requirements. New shafts for installations have been placed on both inside and outside of the existing building. Implications: The conclusions and recommendations, based on the content of the thesis, consist primarily of the importance of making an accurate inventory. It’s about the existing building's capacity and what possible reinforcement work it requires before an extension with housing. Limitations: The study delimits itself from construction engineering calculations and economic calculations. The work has been limited based on a variety of words and timeframe, without these it would be possible to make a more in-depth analysis of the study's reference objects. This would be done through interviewing more actors from additional consulting areas for the selected reference objects.

Para tanto, tem como objeto de estudo a atuação da loja Histórias na Garagem quanto à valorização cultural/identitária e produção artesanal orientada pelo design a partir de sua aproximação com artesãos. Como problemática de pesquisa tem-se a questão: Como a Histórias na Garagem contribui para a valorização cultural/identitária e reformulação da cadeia de valor da produção artesanal orientada pelo design? Para responder ao problema de pesquisa, indica-se como objetivo geral analisar a aproximação da empresa junto aos grupos Bichos do Mar de Dentro, Canoa, Redeiras e Ladrilã, para a identificação da contribuição na valorização cultural/identitária e reformulação da cadeia de valor da produção artesanal. Quanto aos procedimentos metodológicos, essa pesquisa é exploratória, com abordagem de caráter qualitativo; os procedimentos técnicos adotados foram revisão bibliográfica e pesquisa de campo a partir de entrevistas semiestruturadas. A pesquisa de campo foi realizada com dois grupos distintos: o primeiro trata das proprietárias e responsáveis pela loja investigada; e o segundo dos grupos de artesãos parceiros selecionados. Como resultado indica-se que a atuação da loja junto aos grupos de artesãos contribui para a valorização cultural/identitária a partir da produção de artefatos que resgatam técnicas de produção artesanal orientados pelo design. / This research has as its theme the craftsmanship and design. The study object intends to show the performance of the company “Stories in Garage” on the cultural / identity and handicraft production value-driven design from his approach with artisans. As a research problem is the question: How Stories in Garage contributes to the cultural recovery / identity and reformulation of the value chain of craft production oriented by design? To answer to this research, it is stated as a general objective is to analyze the approach of the company with the groups “Bichos do Mar de Dentro, Canoa, Redeiras and Ladrilã” to the contribution of cultural identification in recovery / identity and reformulation of the value chain artisanal production. In the methodological procedures this research is exploratory, with qualitative approach; the technical procedures adopted were literature review, field research from semi-structured interviews. The field research was carried out with two distinct groups: First proprietary and responsible for the investigated store; and second with the selected partners’ artisans groups. As a result it is stated that the store's performance with the artisan groups contributes to the cultural / identity recovery from the production of artifacts that rescue craft production techniques guided by design.
