2007 年1 月9 日的MacWorld 活動中，Apple 公司的執行長在其每一屆Macworld 活動都會給予的演說 (Keynote) 中，介紹了一款Apple 公司最新的、具革命性的研究成果－iPhone。iPhone 隨及引爆了話題，並在2007 年 7 月上市時引爆了搶購熱潮，這是第一款能讓手機廠商和營運商分享利潤的手機，也是極少數的一款毛利高達50%以上的手機，更直接影響了整個手機產業。本研究從iPhone 的產品、技術探討iPhone 包含軟體、硬體的研發成果暨智慧財產，從商品化與商業模式的角度試圖討論Apple 公司如何以手機產業的新進入者而推出高附加價值的手機並在短時間內建立品牌，進而與營運商分享利潤，更以手機廠商的身份建立內容服務平台而創造高價值。最後，本研究將總結Apple 公司iPhone 研發成果與智慧財產的商品化與商業模式，以及iPhone 為產業帶來的衝擊，並給予台灣廠商幾點建議，僅供參考。 / In the Keynote of Macworld 2007 on January 9th, Steve Jobs, the CEO of Apple Company introduced the latest and revolutionary product of Apple Company whitch is actually a mobile phone, and its name is iPhone. The term“iPhone” was getting hot soon. On Junly 29th, iPhone was onto the market, and its sales soared in the market. No doubt, iPhone is the first phone earns Apple the shared revenue from mobile operater, a very small number of phones with a more-than-50% profit margin rate, and a phone changes the whole communication industry. This article starts from the product structure and technology view of iPhone, and then tries to discuss the commercialization and the business model of iPhone. It would try to probe into the key elements of the commercial success of iPhone, including the high value-added product feature, the branding of iPhone, the innovated platform providing contents and services to iPhone user, and the cooperation and revenue share with mobile operators. Finally, the article would summarize the Research on the Commercialization and Business Model of R&D results and Intellectual Properties of Apple iPhone with an additional discuss on the impact that iPhone brings to the communication industry, then give some suggestions to the Taiwan companies.

Wassily Kandinsky wrote Über das Geistige in der Kunst, in 1912, and was translated from German into English by Michael Sadler. Naming it at first, “The Art of Spiritual Harmony” in 1914 it is known as, Concerning the Spiritual in Art. He wrote color and music theories based on angles, synesthetic experiences, subjective instincts, chromotherapy, and shapes. Kandinsky’s theories are worth continuing to research and bring forth into the new generation of technology where we can see music as numerical expressions. This thesis analyses how an increase in bullying awareness can be produced in children aged 9-12 years old playing an iPad serious game called Attitude Game. The project is conducted in collaboration with the company IUS Innovation, where two prototypes were developed by the author of the study, one with mechanics empowering not to bully and the other with mirror mechanics empowering to bully other children. The experiment was conducted with 29 children from a sports club in Göteborg.  A pre-measurement of empathy and a pre-test-post-test measurement of attitude towards bullied children were used to gather data, together with a post-interview during the experiment. Students were assigned to 3 groups, based on a random selection and previous knowledge about the game. The result of the experiment displayed that there was no statistical difference between the change in attitude towards bullied children regarding the empathy level and the prototype tested. Based on the Technology Acceptance model (DAVIS, BAGOZZI, WARSHAW, 1989), Diffusion of Innovation (ROGERS, 1995) and Trust (CARTER; BÉLANGER, 2005), the paper also proposes a review of the literature applied to the Mobile Application context of AMTs (VAN BILJON; Kotze, 2007). For the purpose of the research, the AMTs are defined as mobile service advanced applications which enable, through Internet and geolocation, a taxi transportation request in mobile devices, by means of information systems and phone calls, also monitoring the service provision and payment. Based on semi-structured interviews and questionnaires applications in field research, the study proposes a triangulation of the methods Lexical Analysis (BOTTA,2010; GEERAERTS,2010), Content Analysis (BARDIN, 2006), and Average Ranking (OLIVEIRA, 2005) for the investigation of the identified factors in the literature. The results indicate that the success factors influencing the adoption of AMTs by taxi drivers, are Simplicity and Perceived Usefulness, while moderators are Security and Financial Gains. It is believed that the research can contribute to the discussion of a topic still few explored in the literature in Brazil, Mobile Applications, and provide managerial implications for innovation in applications development companies. / A pesquisa tem como objetivo investigar os fatores-chave de sucesso na adoção de aplicativos móveis de táxi (AMTs) por taxistas. Baseando-se nos modelos de Aceitação Tecnológica (DAVIS; BAGOZZI; WARSHAW, 1989), Difusão da Inovação (ROGERS, 1995) e de Confiança (CARTER; BÉLANGER, 2005), o trabalho propõe também uma revisão da literatura de Aplicações Móveis aplicada ao contexto dos AMTs (VAN BILJON; KOTZÉ, 2007). Para o propósito dessa pesquisa, os AMTs são definidos como aplicativos de serviço móvel avançado que viabilizam, por meio de Internet e geolocalização, a solicitação de transporte de táxi em dispositivos móveis, mediante sistemas de informação e chamadas telefônicas, e o acompanhamento da prestação do serviço e seu pagamento. A partir de entrevistas semiestruturadas em profundidade e aplicações de questionários em pesquisa de campo, o estudo propõe uma triangulação de métodos de Análise Lexical (BOTTA,2010; GEERAERTS,2010), Conteúdo (BARDIN,2006) e Ranking Médio (OLIVEIRA,2005) para a investigação dos fatores identificados na literatura. Os resultados apontam que os fatores influenciadores do sucesso dos AMTs, na perspectiva de uso pelos motoristas de táxi, são Simplicidade e Utilidade Percebida, enquanto os moderadores são Segurança e Ganhos Financeiros. Acredita-se que a pesquisa poderá contribuir para a discussão de um tema ainda pouco explorado na literatura no Brasil, os Aplicativos Móveis, além de proporcionar implicações gerenciais no âmbito da inovação em empresas desenvolvedoras.

This thesis deals with the changes in the pattern of Internet content consumption caused by the new types of device, such as smart phones and tablets. In the second Chapter following the introduction, these devices are introduced, as well as their users. The third and crucial chapter first discusses how changed the activities that we have performed on a PC or laptop. The next section presents a completely new activities that occurred up with smart phones such as geolocation games and mobile tagging. The fourth chapter focuses on the mobile internet in the Czech Republic. Part of this charter is a private research / comparison of 100 most visited websites, when the endpoint was to determine how the authors of these sites are prepared for mobile visitors. Durante las tres últimas décadas, pese a las iniciativas de algunas gestiones municipales, el servicio de taxi en Lima ha pasado por un proceso progresivo de desregulación, dándole un carácter laxo y flexible. Como consecuencia, en la opinión pública se han construido prejuicios asociados al taxi de calle, siendo calificado como “desordenado e informal”. En este contexto, el ingreso de las aplicaciones de servicio de taxi a la ciudad de Lima ha supuesto un proceso disruptivo que merece ser analizado. En otros países de América Latina se han podido observar escenarios de conflicto entre taxistas tradicionales y las aplicaciones, manifestándose un antagonismo explícito a través de protestas, marchas e incluso expresiones de violencia. Sin embargo, pese a que la Lima posee alrededor de 200 mil taxistas, este escenario de conflicto parece no haberse repetido y, por el contrario, miles de taxistas “tradicionales” se encuentran hoy en día trabajando también en las aplicaciones. Frente a este caso anómalo con respecto a países vecinos de América Latina, la presente investigación tiene como objetivo indagar en esta aparente ausencia de conflicto entre “taxistas tradicionales” y taxistas de aplicación, profundizando en la naturaleza de las relaciones que se construyen en su lugar. En ese sentido, se encontró que “más allá de la aquiescencia y la rebeldía”, se ha dado un fenómeno al cual denominamos “integración conflictiva”, un proceso mediante el cual taxistas tradicionales y taxistas de aplicación se han integrado a partir del uso compartido de un mismo recurso: las aplicaciones; generando un escenario en donde estos coexisten. Así, al contrario de las resistencias expresadas en un antagonismo entre taxistas tradicionales y taxistas de aplicación, se ha propiciado el desarrollo preliminar de algunas expresiones de resistencia cotidiana en conjunto, las cuales les permiten subsistir frente a un escenario es percibido como adverso para el taxista limeño. No obstante, este proceso de integración no ha sido armonioso y, al entrar en interacción sujetos de trayectorias y experiencias tan diversas, se generan fronteras simbólicas, barreras invisibles que se expresan en estereotipos, prejuicios y burlas que limitan aún más la conformación de objetivos y agendas en común.

This thesis presents flott, the Fast Low Memory T-Transform, the currently fastest and most memory efficient linear time and space algorithm available to compute the string complexity measure T-complexity. The flott algorithm uses 64.3% less memory and in our experiments runs asymptotically 20% faster than its predecessor. A full C-implementation is provided and published under the Apache Licence 2.0. From the flott algorithm two deterministic information measures are derived and applied to Android app store security. The derived measures are the normalized T-complexity distance and the instantaneous T-complexity rate which are used to detect, locate, and visualize unusual information changes in Android applications. The information measures introduced present a novel, scalable approach to assist with the detection of malware in app stores. / Graduate
