De mãe em filha: a transmissão da feminilidade / From mother to daughter: transmission of feminineness

No. of bitstreams: 1 Marina Ferreira da Rosa Ribeiro.pdf: 792731 bytes, checksum: 7c1c54299532a5b866af277b04f1a74d (MD5) Previous issue date: 2009-11-06 / Coordenação de Aperfeiçoamento de Pessoal de Nível Superior / The main aim of this study was to find grounds and support from the psychoanalytical literature for the existence of specific psychological vicissitudes along the path from baby to girl to woman. The concepts put forward by certain psychoanalysts regarding this very intricate relationship and their effects on the continual challenge of becoming a woman and on the transmission of feminineness were investigated and analyzed. Freud s observations on the inexorable suppression that covers up the primordial relationship between mothers and their daughters were the starting point. Expressions for the nuances of the vestiges of this archaic relationship with mothers were sought; for daughters, their mothers are both the primary and the secondary objects of identification. Mothers eroticize their baby girls, leaving sensual traces for future adult enjoyment of female sexuality. In this relationship of like that engenders like, there is a potential risk of narcissistic entrapment and symbiotic illusion. Hostility between mothers and daughters was taken to be a search for psychological differentiation, which is always present to a greater or lesser extent. The passion between mother and daughter was shown firstly through the myth of Demeter and Persephone. The tragedy of Electra was dealt with as the other face of passion: hate. The conceptual framework surrounding feminineness in psychoanalysis was investigated and linked in, and the origin and development of the following concepts was explained: primary female identification (Paulo de Carvalho Ribeiro), primary homosexuality (Jacqueline Godfrind), primary female position or phase of feminineness (Melanie Klein) and primary maternalism and primary femaleness (Florence Guignard). The film Autumn Sonata by Ingmar Bergman was analyzed, focusing on the unsustainable nostalgia of meeting the mother, which was always dreamed of and never achieved. Continuing the reflections on the film, the male viewpoint and its indissociable dialectic connection with the female viewpoint is demonstrated. This coming together between female and male viewpoints brings to the fore the concept of psychological bisexuality. The different objective rules of mothers and fathers were also discussed. Two clinical constructions were presented: Zoe and Liz. Finally, the preciousness and tanatic , or the strength and vulnerability of the transmission of the feminineness from mothers to daughters were investigated / O objetivo principal desta pesquisa é fundamentar e sustentar, pela literatura psicanalítica, a existência de vicissitudes psíquicas específicas na trajetória bebê-menina- mulher.

This study is part of a broader research that investigated the sexual behavior of female university students of a public institution in the city of Sao Jose do Rio Preto, SP, Brazil. An initial survey carried out in order to identify the students’ sexual conduct. A quantitative closed questionnaire was used to gather information on sexual behavior, socioeconomic level, marital status, religion and the use of condom. This questionnaire was applied to 251 students, and among them, 13.9% were from Biology Area Graduate Programs, 40.2% from Exact Sciences, and 45.8% from Humanities. Besides, 57% of the students were in the category called “steady relationship – dating”, 37.5% “single or having an unstable relationship”, and 5.6% were married female students. Most of the female students were between 17 and 24 years old (90.4%). From the total of students who were interviewed, 158 maintain an active sexual life, which had started when they were around 17 years old. On their first sexual intercourse, 88% of these female young adults affirmed that they used condom, however, on their last sexual encounter, only 62% used it. The results showed that a large number of female university students have an active sexual life, independently of their socioeconomic level or knowledge area, and that sexual initiation usually occurs during under graduation. This work suggests that it is necessary to develop more research on sexual behavior, as well as HIV/AIDS prevention projects and educational intervention on sexual orientation/education, including educators’ theoretical/practical knowledge increase, in order to offer dialogue moments at university, a place seen by the adolescents and young adults as starting point for their sexual life

Parentalidade e conjugabilidades em uniões homoafetivas femininas / Parenting and unions combined in female homo

No. of bitstreams: 1 dissertacao_joao_ricard.pdf: 640636 bytes, checksum: d72cbc2861ebd578e38438ac7852747e (MD5) Previous issue date: 2008-04-01 / Social changes in the last decades have been generating profound alterations in the way how affective relationships are established, originating multiple family configurations. Among these new families, we highlight the conjugality and parenthood relations in homosexual couples, which are the central thematic of this research. We focused our analysis on how lesbian women are living conjugality and parenthood. Our sample was constituted by seven women, who maintain a love relationship with other women and, in these relations, share the caring with one or two children. We aimed to understand the affective universe of these women through their narratives. By the time of the interview, all of them were residents in Recife Metropolitan Region and had middle class social status, with ages varying from 30 to 46 years old. To classify social status the following social indicators were used: formal education level, profession, residence location and monthly income. Although it was not a prerequisite for our investigation, all of them had experienced one or two previous heterosexual conjugalities. Those relationships made possible the access to children. Six of them are biological mothers and one of them is an adoptive one. The interview began with a starter question, which was: how is your conjugality at the moment and how is it to share this relationship with your kid(s)? The narratives were submitted to Content Analysis. Three units of meaning were identified: the homosexual condition, conjugality between women and parenthood in the couple. The homosexual condition showed that those women s homosexuality was never something permanent. It appeared with time, through the desire of a sexual practice based on affectivity and on the possibility of new findings regarding the exercise of sexuality. Conjugality is lived as a pleasant experience, despite the challenges faced in the transition from a heterosexual to a homosexual relationship. All of the participants trust on these new relations, as they find in their relationship contracts the affective possibilities of a equalitarian parenthood. Therefore, the parenthood relation supplements a family dynamics based on the couple s possibility to share affective bonds and the necessary responsibilities of raising the children / As mudanças sociais das últimas décadas têm gerado profundas alterações na forma de se estabelecer vínculos afetivos, dando origem a múltiplas configurações familiares.

Marcos Antonio de Andrade Nunes 13 April 2007 (has links)
A família é o primeiro grupo social do indivíduo. / The family is the first social group of the individual. The medullary lesions (ML) are all injuries that affect the structures contained in the spinal canal and can lead to motor, sensory, autonomic and psychoaffective alterations. It is one of the situations that can most affect the life of any individual and that can bring with it many biopsychosocial repercussions. The research that serves as the basis to this dissertation is of qualitative character and is founded theoretically and methodologically in the writings of Michel Foucault and of other authors that dialogue with his thought. As methodological strategies, the Narrative Interviews and the Field Diary were used as tools for the construction of the narratives of the women with acquired spinal cord injury, which were analyzed through a descriptive analytics of the subject of Foucauldian inspiration. These analysis have pointed out that these women are crossed by diverse discursive formations, institutions, knowledge/power games that constitute them as capable of organizing their own methods and ways to perform a sexual life satisfactorily in the way it is possible to live it. The condition of woman, the exercise of a sexual life after a trauma or accident, and the way in which they act upon their subjectivity showed themselves as difficult paths; it is evident the importance of looking at sexuality as a dispositif; it is emphasized the existence of a society that considers certain bodies, and here the bodies with spinal cord injury, as abjects and the suffering experienced by each one of them is verified when faced with the change of an accepted body. Thus, in the narratives we find the certainty that women with acquired spinal cord injury are not considered as asexual, on the contrary, all of them reported experiencing - or having lived - one or more loving, affective and sexual relationships. We hope that our research will contribute to the broadening of women's voices and struggles as well as to the greater opening of spaces for dialogue on the subject of sexuality in what concerns people with physical disabilities, especially women with acquired spinal cord injuries.

Análise do discurso feminino entre casais violentos na cultura da agressão / Analysis of the female discourse between violent couples in the culture of aggression

Gnoato, Gilberto 17 August 2017 (has links)
This research work has as main objective the relational analysis in the studies of violent couples, proposing to interpret specifically the discursive constructions of middle-class women, with higher education and financial autonomy that, although being the target of physical and psychological violence, remain for long years living with their intimate partners. This category of women was chosen because of the vacuum that exists in the studies that investigate this type of population, since most of the studies on the phenomenon focus on low-income women, justifying that women's economic dependence as a result of their attachment to patriarchal power. As for the corpus of research, this comes from the reports of women allocated on the electronic website <wwwgilbertoresponde.com>. These are stories in the form of questions that seek a way out of the suffering of love. The website is designed by users as a self-help platform. Two other analyzes were also added to the corpus. The case study of Oliveira's autobiography (2011) and an interview with seven participants from the 2016 group of "Women Who Love Too Much Anonymous" (MADA). With the purpose of producing knowledge for practical application, aimed at solving problems Found in the daily reality, we opted for the modality of work called Applied Research (BARROS; LEHFELD, 2000; GIL, 2002). The Discourse Analysis according to Foucault (2012, 1986) was used as method and theoretical reference. In relation to the theoretical scope, this research was guided by the dialogue between Anthropology, Philosophy of Language, History, Sociology and contributions of Psychoanalysis. The violence of the couples is analyzed by the dialogical-relational perspective of Santos and Izumino (2005). One of the objectives is to problematize the dualism of certain feminist discourses that conceive of violence as an original and exclusive product of masculinity. The anthropologists Gregori (1993) and Machado (1998), for example, replace the polarization of violence hitherto unilaterally attributed to men to a relational form of understanding the phenomenon, through the study of "violent couples." On machismo, we adopt the premise of the psychologist Castañeda (2006) that neither machismo is a discourse exclusively of men nor violence a product exclusively of one of the poles of the relationship or individualized individual. Violence and machismo are not just concrete practices. It is a long process of microscopic socialization of Bourdieu's "symbolic domination" (2009: 138). Violence between couples is not located in a single place and/or individual, but is indented in what Foucault (1982, p244) defines as "devices." We select from the research corpus three devices that fuel violence. They are the device of "love-passion" in Rougemont (1988), of sexuality and machismo. These devices find fertile reverberation in the heart of a tremendously violent, emotional, hierarchical and paradoxical society such as Brazil (DAMATTA (1987; 1990; 1993). We also draw on Foucault's (1982) theoretical-political contributions on the power to understand violence as a "microphysics of violence" (FANINI, 1992; FOUCAULT, 1982;1984). Some of the results of this study indicate that the arguments of low income and lack of political awareness of women victims of violence have guided much of feminist research in the 1970s and 1980s. However, it is now known that violence against women. The woman "does not originate exclusively from economic class inequalities," according to Heilborn and Sorj (1999), neither of the lack of political awareness nor of its financial condition, considering the intense advances of women in the field of work and public life. Researches such as Grossi (1991), Gregori (1993), Santos and Izumino (2005) refer to practices of care for women beaten in the 1980s, since some feminist groups of the time attended to women victims of aggression conceived violence, often to a male production, when it is in reality a macroscopic phenomenon of the culture of aggression. Another aspect to emphasize regarding the care of victims of violence and feminist research is the little importance given to the discourse of passion-love (ROUGEMONT, 1998). Women expect much of the love (BOURDIEU, 2011, pp. 82-83) and depend more on it than men expect. If they are prisoners of the law of love, they are bound to virility and violence as a "burden" in Bourdieu's terms (2011, 64) intended to carry it. It is understood that between violent couples, it is as difficult for the woman to vacate the victim's place, as it is for the man, to leave the place of violence.

Considering the rodriguean theater’s virulence and the art’s power of giving expression to the unconscious creations, we suppose Nelson Rodrigues dramaturgy may carry important contributions on the psychoanalyst knowledge improvement about female sexuality. For that, this study has taken as analysis material the plays: Senhora dos Afogados(Lady of the Drowned), Vestido de Noiva (The Wedding Dress) and A Serpente (The Serpent. Based on Psychoanalysis theoretical references, Freudian concepts of unconscious, drive, repression, Oedipus complex, early Oedipus complex, castration complex, identification e superego were fundamental to guide this investigation; as well as the drama category action. The present research was bibliographic and sought, by the plays discourse analysis, to stick to the Rodrigues writing subtlety, as a sort of discourse transmitted by words and action. Thereby, Nelson Rodrigues theater’s women showed themselves, above all, rapt by passion and voluptuousness, in name of a “want” that exceeds desire and the meeting with the object; “want” also seems to lean on the shape of “another woman”, depository of an ambivalent love par excellence.
