The study seeks to understand how the forms of relationship of power between medical and patients are represented in the fictional works "Amor à Vida" and "Em Família". The study approaches the medical literature to know the professionals' point of view and to approach the field of communication through the study of Brazilian teledramaturgy. The aim is to analyze the scenes of representation among those involved to understand how the dramaturgic scenarios put on the scene the way that the doctors relate to their patients and the way that the perception is used within the scene to understand the aspects not verbalized in the medical consultation. The methodology of content analysis was used in all corpus of each novel, focusing only on the scenes in which there is professional involvement with the group of medical characters to understand the way this situation permeates.

Sending and Addressing Messages in Web Services

Borkowski, Piotr January 2007 (has links)
This thesis provides an overview of Web Services technology. The concept of Web Services and Service Oriented Architecture are explained. The thesis focuses on the mechanisms for transporting and addressing messages in web services, especially SOAP. It presents the development history of SOAP, an overview of the SOAP 1.2 specification, and the differences between SOAP in version 1.1 and 1.2. Further, the thesis presents two web servers for development and deployment of web services using Java and .NET technology, i.e. Bea Weblogic Server 9.2 and Internet Information Services 7.0. The web server implementations are evaluated both in terms of conformance to the SOAP specifications as well as their performance (response time and throughput). The results showed that the servers performed very similar both for SOAP 1.2 and SOAP 1.1 messages. The response times and throughput are similar for both servers in most cases. There are, however, situations when Weblogic perform significantly worse than IIS, and when IIS is noticeable worse than Weblogic. The thesis presents also general security aspects of sending messages.

Exploring IBM Integration Designer

Ellström, Jonathan January 2017 (has links)
The interest for Business Process Management (BPM) is increasing in Sweden. Government agencies such as the Swedish Nation Board of Student Aid (CSN), the Swedish Companies Registration Office (Bolagsverket) and the Swedish Social Insurance Agency (Försäkringskassan) are implementing BPM into their organizations. Sogeti is an IT-consulting company that has employees that works at CSN with BPM, and one of the tools they use for integration is IBM Integration Designer. Since this technology is new and is gaining popularity, there is a need for increased knowledge about it. This thesis report explores the tool IBM Integration Designer, regarding its different ways to integrate with systems and compares the different options for exposing the integration solu- tions. By researching documentation from IBM, and by learning how to use the tool itself, knowledge could be acquired about IBM Integration Designer. The result was an implementation of the five different export bindings: SCA, HTTP, SOAP over HTTP, Enterprise JavaBeans (EJB) and Java Messaging Service (JMS), a comparison of these export bindings and finally a service in IBM Inte- gration Designer that accesses a database and uses an external SMS API to send text messages. The result has been satisfactory to the purpose of this project in giving insight into IBM Integration Designer, one of the popular tools for inte- grating BMP.

Agil utveckling av webbapplikation för konkurrentanalys / Agile development of web application for competitor analysis

Combler, Adam, Friberg, Philip, Jokinen, Jani, Larsson, Elin, Mansén, Erik, Martinsson, Tobias, Pettersson, Albin January 2017 (has links)

Orders From the Cloud : Business Integration as a Service

Hammar, Karl January 2009 (has links)
This thesis describes the development of a SOA-based architecture for integrating large EDI-using manufacturing companies purchasing processes with smaller non-EDI capable manufacturing companies, using online services. The underlying need for this project lies with the fact that these small manufacturing companies risk to miss out on business, due to their inability to communicate via the industry standard EDI format. At the same time, getting EDI-capable involves significant investments in software licenses, connectivity services and consulting or training that these small companies may not be ready to make. The mentor company of this thesis project, System Andersson, produces resource planning software for this type of companies and would like to be able to provide them with an easy to use way of “jacking in” EDI support into their businesses, without having to make such significant investments. Ideally this feature would be developed as a standalone subscription based service that could be provided to users in such a way that their existing System Andersson software could connect to it and no further hard- or software would be needed on site. This EDI-enabling should be as easy as to be entirely transparent for the end-user companies. The task handed to the author was thus to develop an architecture for how such a subscription based service could be developed. Furthermore, in order to promote re-use and simplify development, the architecture was to be based on SOA concepts. As a result of the project, such an architecture has been developed. The architecture details two services for translating and storing for later delivery a number of EDI message types of the EDIFACT variety. The architecture also specifies communications protocols (SOAP over HTTPS and AS2 over HTTPS) and APIs (web services) for how to communicate with these services. These specifications can be used to implement a system that performs the necessary integration, so that the smaller companies may indeed communicate via EDI. The fitness of the developed architecture has been tested by implementing a prototype version of such a system based on it. It has also been validated by way of comparing to how well it adheres to SOA design principles. All in all, this design appears to be quite sound and presents a working solution to the studied problem.

CORBA and Web Service Performance Comparison for Reliable and Confidential Message Transmission in Heterogeneous Distributed Systems

Miess, Jürgen January 2004 (has links)
The business pressures which companies and organisations encounter are steadily growing. They continuously have to improve their efficiency to keep up with these new developments. One very important aspect in doing so is the reinforced adoption of computer based information systems. This paper focuses on a computer based system which is able to automate everyday business communication between distributed team members. Reliable and confidential message delivery, event notification, the integration of different end devices (mobile phones, PCs etc.) and the message transport across different networks (wireless, wired) have been allocated as the main system requirements. Based on these requirements the performance of two middleware technologies, namely CORBA and Web services, has been compared. The result of this comparison was that both technologies are suited to use for implementing such a system but both too, have strengths and weaknesses in achieving the stated requirements. CORBA for example, due to several supporting, already included services, allows the programmer to concentrate on the application development itself and use these services to ensure reliable and confidential message transmission. Additionally, CORBA is very efficient in using the bandwidth of the underlying communication network, but makes higher demands to the memory space available on clients. This is critical, if clients are mobile devices with limited resources. Web service technology is much more modest than CORBA with respect to the client side memory space, but message transmission requires much more bandwidth. Further one there are no built-in security and reliability services available for Web services, like there are for CORBA. Hence it is up the application programmer to manually implement these features; however he has not necessarily develop everything from scratch but can resort to already existing specifications, still having the freedom of developing specially tailored features. In short could be stated that CORBA is more consequential and consistent and WS technology is more adjustable and flexible.

Nätverksfördröjningar vid tillämpning av SOAP

Björk, Stefan January 2002 (has links)

Pettersson, Stefan January 2004 (has links)
