Nätverksbaserade värden eller mer strategi och övervakning? : En kvantitativ studie om riskkapitalbolagens värdeskapande i portföljföretagen

Small and new companies are important for the Swedish economy and are the main source of employment. However, these face challenges in the possibility of obtaining financing, where venture capital becomes an important tool for achieving this. Venture capitalists does not only contribute with capital, but also usually take an active role in the portfolio companies. This study examines what roles the venture capitalist undertakes and what values they contribute with. The study also intends to compare the results with research that has begun to examine value creation from the portfolio company's perspective. Where scout roles are preferred over coach roles, which differs from the venture capitalist's perspective. To achieve the purpose of the study, a quantitative survey method is used, where a questionnaire has been applied for data collection. Based on the results, it can be stated that the roles most used are board member, counseling/mentorship, obtaining alternative sources of funding and contributing with contact networks. These are also the roles that the portfolio companies consider contributing with the highest value. According to the portfolio companies, however, there are more roles that CAN contribute with high value than those that venture capitalists have today, such as the role of strategic planning. The study can both confirm and deny research on scout and coach roles, as the portfolio companies prefer network (scout) over strategy and monitoring (coach). However, the study shows that strategic roles CAN contribute value, which indicates that the portfolio companies see a certain value in scout roles. / Små och nya företag är viktiga för den svenska ekonomin och den främsta källan till sysselsättning. Dessa möter dock utmaningar i möjligheten att få finansiering, där riskkapital blir ett viktigt verktyg för att uppnå detta. Riskkapitalister bidrar inte enbart med kapital, utan brukar även ta en aktiv roll i portföljföretagen. Denna studie undersöker vilka roller riskkapitalisten åtar sig och vilka värden dessa bidrar med. Studien avser även att jämföra med forskning som har börjat undersöka värdeskapandet utifrån portföljföretagets perspektiv. Där scout-liknande roller föredras framför coach-liknande roller, vilket skiljer sig mot riskkapitalistens perspektiv. För att uppnå syftet med studien används en kvantitativ undersökningsmetod, där en enkät har tillämpats för datainsamling. Utifrån resultatet kan det konstateras att rollerna som använts mest är styrelsemedlem, rådgivning/mentorskap, erhålla alternativa finansieringskällor och bidra med kontaktnätverk. Detta är även rollerna som portföljföretagen anser bidrar med högst värde. Enligt portföljföretagen finns det dock flera roller som KAN bidra med högt värde, än de som riskkapitalisterna har idag som exempelvis rollen strategisk planering. Studien kan både bekräfta och dementera forskning om scout och coach-liknande roller, eftersom portföljföretagen föredrar nätverk (scout) framför strategi och övervakning (coach). Dock visar studien att strategiska roller KAN bidra med värde, vilket indikerar att portföljföretagen ser ett visst värde i scout-liknande roller.

The thesis deals with a motivation of workers in the non-profit sector who participate in a run of organizations as volunteers. In the theoretical part basic concepts are explained with an emphasis on personality and motivation. Specifics of the non-profit sector and a voluntary question are clarified and in conclusion selected nonprofit organization -- Association of Scouts and Guides of the Czech Republic is presented. The practical part is an empirical research. In its framework, results of a survey are evaluated, validity of the defined hypotheses is tested and a motivation program is proposed with the aim of workers'satisfaction and motivation increase.

Therefore, we were conducted a survey with the use of statistical data made polled in the participating groups Goyaz Scouts, Old Wolf and Polivalente, in order to verify the conceptions and environmental actions carried in and out of the Scout Movement. It is a brief bibliographic and documentary revision of the historical Scout Movement in Brazil and State of Goiás. Robert Sthephenson Smith Baden Powell was the founder of Scout Movement, recognized worldwide for creating an educational movement nonprofit with purpose to contribute to the development of young people, so that they grow up as responsible citizens participatory, which have a greater perception of the world, self-development and proximity to nature. Fortunately a Scout Leader comes up whole history. It is noticed that the educational method of scouting movement in the study groups is being led by Education Project, therefore, are the activities moral and ethic values, resulting in the formation of the young people, making a human being more aware of your role in society, thus, meets with the principles of environment education. / Este estudo objetivou identificar e analisar as práticas extraescolares desenvolvidas no Movimento Escoteiro de Goiânia na perspectiva das práxis da Educação Ambiental. Para tanto, foi realizada uma pesquisa de cunho qualitativo-quantitativo por meio da aplicação de questionários com os participantes dos grupos Escoteiros Goyaz, Velho Lobo e Polivalente, a fim de verificar as concepções e as ações ambientais realizadas dentro e fora do Movimento Escoteiro. Uma breve revisão bibliográfica e documental sobre o histórico do Movimento Escoteiro do Brasil e no estado de Goiás foi descrita. Robert Sthephenson Smith Baden- Powell foi o fundador do Escoteiro, reconhecido mundialmente por criar um movimento educacional sem fins lucrativos, com propósito de contribuir no desenvolvimento dos jovens, para que eles cresçam como cidadãos responsáveis, participativos, que tenham uma maior percepção de mundo, autodesenvolvimento e proximidade com a natureza. Os resultados obtidos pelas análises mostram que o método educacional do Movimento Escoteiro nos grupos pesquisados está sendo guiado pelo Projeto Educativo. Desta forma, encontram-se nas atividades os valores éticos e morais, tendo como resultado a formação do jovem, tornando-o um ser humano mais consciente de seu papel na sociedade, o que vai ao encontro dos princípios da educação ambiental.

Neįgaliųjų integracija į skautišką veiklą taikomosios kūno kultūros aspektu / Integration of disabled people into scout activities through the aspect of applied phisical education

Darbe atlikta teorinė skautų ideologijos, principų, istorinės apžvalgos analizė. Supažindinama su Lietuvos Skautijos Įstatais, aprašomi Lietuvos Skautijos metodai edukologiniu aspektu. Apžvelgiama specialiojo ugdymo kilmės ir raidos istorija, supažindinama su pagrindiniais įstatymais ir teisės aktais, susijusiais su neįgaliųjų integracija į visuomenę. Iškelta hipotezė: tikėtina, jog proto negalę turintys vaikai , integruoti į skautų vienetą , sugebės įsisavinti jiems parengtą ir adaptuotą kandidatams į skautus programą,paremtą taikomąja kūno kultūra , jų žinios, mokėjimai, įgūdžiai žymiai pagerės eksperimento pabaigoje. Apklausos raštu (anketavimo), apklausos žodžiu (interviu) ir stebėjimo metu gautų duomenų analizės, statistinės analizės metodu ir medicininių dokumentų analizės metodu atliktas femenologinis kokybinis tyrimas. Atlikta statistinė analizė, siekiant išsiaiškinti tiriamųjų skautiškų praktinių veiklų žinių, mokėjimų ir įgūdžių kaitos statistinio vidurkio lygybę. Atliktas visuomenės ( LS skautų vadovų, skautų tėvų/globėjų ir skautų( įvairaus amžiaus grupių)) požiūrio į neįgaliųjų integracijos į skautišką veiklą tyrimas. Tyrime dalyvavo 7 10-15 metų proto negalę turintys paaugliai, gyvenantys Šiaulių vaikų globos namuose ,,Šaltinis“ Iš jų-3 berniukai ir 4 mergaitės. 4 mokosi J.Laužiko mokykloje, 2-Ringuvos specialiojoje mokykloje, 2-Šiaulių Logopedinėje mokykloje. [toliau žr. visą tekstą] / The theoretical analysis of the scouts ideology, principles, and history review is carried out in the present paper. Statutes of the Scouts of Lithuania are introduced, the methods of the Scouts of Lithuania from the educational aspect are described too. The history of the origin and development of special education is reviewed, the basic legislation and acts of law, connected to the integration of the disabled into the society, are introduced as well. The hypothesis is formulated in the following way: it is probable, that mentally handicapped children, integrated into the unit of scouts, will be able to understand the program for candidates to the scouts, that is prepared and adapted to them, based on the applied physical education, their knowledge and abilities will increase greatly at the end of the experiment. The phenomenological qualitative research is carried out with the help of the written questionnaire, oral survey (interview) and the gained data analysis in the course of the observation, method of the statistical and medical documents analysis. In order to find out the equality of the statistical average of the researched scouts’ practical activities, knowledge and abilities’ alternation, the statistical analysis is performed. Deste modo, com base, na análise de fontes orais, na documentação dos arquivos dos referidos Grupos de Escoteiros, nos registros da União dos Escoteiros do Brasil, fotografias e jornais, buscamos refletir como um movimento educativo pensado para a realidade dos jovens ingleses do início do século XX, conseguiu atrair tantas crianças para as suas fileiras na cidade de Campina Grande, na década de 1980-1990, quase cem anos depois de sua criação? Partindo da premissa de que os Grupos de Escoteiros são espaços disciplinares, cujo objetivo é a formação do jovem educado, cumpridor dos seus deveres e útil para a sociedade, refletimos sobre a aplicação do Método Escoteiro, entendido em nosso trabalho como um mecanismo que cumpre a função de disciplinar o corpo, a mente e as emoções dos escoteiros. Analisamos ainda as práticas simbólicas que perpassam o escotismo, responsáveis por estabelecerem a coesão e o sentimento de pertença entre os membros escoteiros, buscando a construção de uma identidade comum. Para a concretização desta pesquisa dialogou-se como alguns autores, a exemplo de FOUCAULT (1987) e suas reflexões teóricas sobre o poder disciplinar, BOSI (1994) e HALBWACHS (1990) acerca da memória, HALL (2005) que nos deu subsídio para discutir a produção de identidades, CHARTIER (1990) e sua análise sobre as representações sociais, CERTEAU (1994) sobre as táticas de resistência, dentre outros. / The following study has as objective to problematize the scouts practices lived, in the city of Campina Grande - PB, in the decades of 1980-1990, reflecting about the discipline of the bodies and the building of identities in the scout groups (General Sampaio, Santos Dumont and Batiruté). Thus, based on the analysis of oral sources, in the files documentation of the referred scout groups, in the records of the Union of Scouts Brazil, photographs and newspapers, we reflect as an educational movement thought to the reality of young Englishmen of the early twentieth century, has attracted many children to their ranks in the city of Campina Grande, in the decade of 1980-1990, nearly a hundred years after its creation? Assuming that the Scout Groups are disciplinary spaces, whose goal is the formation of an educated young, aware of their duties and availabilities to society, we reflected on the implementation of the Scout Method, seen in our work as a mechanism whose function is to discipline the body, mind and emotions of the scouts. We also analyzed the symbolic practices that pervade the scouting, responsible for establishing cohesion and sense of belonging among scouts members seeking the construction of a common identity. To achieve this research, it was discussed as some authors, like FOUCALT (1987) and his theoretical reflections on disciplinary power, BOSI (1994) and HALBWACHS (1990) on the memory, HALL (2005) who gave us allowance to discuss the production of identities, Chartier (1990) and his analysis of the social representations, Certeau (1994) on resistance tactics, among others.

A dádiva de si : estudo etnográfico sobre movimento escoteiro

Este estudo disserta sobre práticas de membros do movimento escoteiro no Rio Grande do Sul, com especial foco no trabalho voluntário. Assim como investiga o momento de passagem da etapa etária chamada de ramo pioneiro, que caracteriza para o movimento escoteiro o período de três anos onde um jovem se torna um adulto ao completar seus 21 anos de idade. Para tanto, foi realizada pesquisa de campo através de observação-participante durante período aproximado de dois anos (de janeiro de 2011 a novembro de 2012), além de quatro entrevistas em profundidade. Como recurso adicional foi ainda realizada prática fotoetnográfica, cujo resultado está aqui integrado. Tendo como principal problemática investigar os sentidos que são dados para os valores defendidos pelo movimento escoteiro em relação ao voluntariado, utilizou-se as categorias de “dádiva de si” e de “engajamento” para explicar questões levantadas ao longo deste estudo sobre a ideologia que defende o trabalho voluntário como fator essencial no programa pedagógico e na conformação de identidades destes jovens. / This study dissertates about the practices of the scout movement´s members in Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil, with special focus on voluntary work. Otherwise, it investigates the passing moment of an age stage called rover section, which characterizes for the scout movement the period of three years where a young becomes an adult by turning 21 years old. It was realized a fieldwork research through participant-observation for a period of approximately two years (from January, 2011 to November, 2012), and four interviews as compliment. As additional resource it was realized photoethnographic practices, which results are integrated to this study. Having as principal aim to investigate the senses that are given for values defended by the Scout Movement in relation to voluntarism, it was used the categories of “give of self” and “engagement” to explicate questions raised along this study about the ideology that defends the voluntary work as essential factor in the educational program and in the conformation of identities of this youths.
