The students have been assigned a task from Consid, were they are supposed to develop a web based platform for handling the company’s consult CV:s. The key features of the system are to simplify the administration part at mission procurements towards customers and to match qualified consultants to certain missions.Consid is an international it-consult company and have about 1000 consults working for them. When Consid makes mission procurements towards a customer they have to manually match the best consult against a certain mission, this is both time consuming and complicated.The students started the project with big visions and thoughts about how the work would be performed and how the system would be developed. After the initial meetings and the closer it came to the beginning of programming it became clear that the expectations were too big. This is the biggest lesson learned during the project and something that has come to influence the rest of the development.The students have been compelled to learn a totally new way of structuring the code by the three tier architecture. They have also been able to get a deeper understanding of how system development is performed by companies.Before the project begun the students and the company made a requirement specification for the system. The goals for the system and early limitations were made. Along the project those goals and limitations have been changed.The report handles the work with the development and read up on problems and solutions. It ends with a discussion and is summarized so the reader gets a better picture of the system and the work around it.

Detta examensarbete är utfört i samarbete med System Andersson AB. Uppgiften var att undersöka huruvida det nuvarande verkstadssystemet, som i dagsläget är en Windowsapplikationen, skulle fungera som en webbapplikation. Webbapplikationen skulle bestå av ett antal begränsade funktioner som var instämpling/utstämpling, fungera som helskärm utan ramar från webbläsare, skapa rapporter samt fungera med pekskärm.Resultatet blev en väl fungerande webbapplikation där alla funktioner fungerar med undantag för skapandet av rapporter vilket inte stödes av utvecklingsverktyget.Rapporten ger den teoretiska bakgrunden och beskriver utvecklingen av webbapplikationen med bl.a. val av olika utvecklingsverktyg. Rapporten beskriver också hur webbapplikationen testats.

Rapporten beskriver det tekniska och marknadsmässiga framtagandet av en plattform för handelmed begagnade kläder på internet. Webbapplikationen har namnet Trojo och den främstamålgruppen är miljömedvetna personer mellan 18 och 29 år. Rapportens fokus kommer att liggapå tekniska samt marknadsmässiga aspekter samt relationen mellan dessa. Exempelvis diskuterarrapporten teori som visar på att förbättrade laddningstider generellt sätt ökar försäljningen för ehandlare,och därför behandlar även rapporten hur Trojo arbetat rent tekniskt för att optimeraladdningstiderna. Vikten av att hemsidan klarar av att ta emot trafik från olika enheter kommerockså att behandlas samt hur projektgruppen tekniskt gått tillväga för att göra hemsidanresponsiv. Vilka användarberättelser som ligger bakom det slutgiltiga resultatet, prioriteringenmellan dem samt hur implementationen av dem behandlas också. Rapporten mynnar ut i ett resultat som besvarar hur en webbaserad e-butik för begagnade kläderkan realiseras så att den attraherar målgruppen unga och miljömedvetna personer samt går medvinst efter tre år. Hur rapporten kan ses i ett vidare sammanhang diskuteras också och exempelvisinkluderas resonemang kring Trojos potential att påverka miljön positivt. Avslutningsvisbehandlas även hur Trojo skulle kunna fortsätta utvecklingen för att ytterligare optimeramöjligheterna att attrahera den betraktade målgruppen.

Denna rapport redogör för en webbapplikation med ett användargränssnitt som visar Preems volymdifferenser. Syftet med arbetet var främst utveckla en enklare metod för att spåra oförklarliga differenser i Preems lagerkontroll. Rapporten tar även upp grundläggande metoder för att anpassa webbapplikationer för olika företagsmodeller. Det resulterande systemet blev en webbapplikation med ett användargränssnitt för lagerkontroll, där man enkelt kan navigera. Webbapplikationen reagerar på varningar och genererar automatiskt anpassade tabeller/grafer. / This report describes a web application with a user interface that displays Preem volume differences. The main purpose of this work was to develop an easier method for tracking unexplained differences in Preem’s inventory control. The report also discusses basic approaches for adapting web application for different business models.   The resulting system is a web application with a user interface for inventory control, where you can easily navigate. The web application also responds to warnings and automatically generates adaptive tables/graphs.

Om ett företag ska utveckla en ny mobilapplikation innebär det att det måste tas fram många olika typer för att deras applikation ska kunna användas på de största mobiloperativsystem. En hybridapplikation löser detta genom att enbart utveckla de delar som måste använda enhetens hårdvarufunktioner. Detta examensarbete kommer ta upp vilka problem, och hur de löstes, som uppstod i avseende på notifikationer, cache och offlineläge i utveckling av en kommunikationsaggregator i HTML5 för Android. Det visade sig att det inte uppstod några större problem med att implementera notifikationer och cache medan offlinestödet var svårare att implementera.

Parkeringsproblemet finns i storstäder över hela världen. Med fler människor som skaffar bilar och större städer som inte hinner med i utvecklingen av stadsplaneringen så kommer problemen att öka. Felparkeringsavgifterna i Sverige ökar år efter år och datumparkering är en stor del av det i Gävle. Syftet med arbetet är att utveckla en prototyp på en parkeringsapplikation som på ett enkelt sätt visualiserar var det är tillåtet att parkera. Ett annat delsyfte är att undersöka vad bilförare kan om datumparkering och om en applikation kan hjälpa till att lokalisera platser där det är tillåtet att parkera. Frågan är om det finns data för parkeringar tillgängligt som går att använda i prototypen, en ytterligare sak som ska undersökas vad för existerande lösningar för parkeringsproblem som finns. Existerande lösningar för parkeringar är huvudsakligen inriktade mot parkeringshus och större parkeringar. De applikationer som finns visualiserar dessutom bara med skyltar. Det finns inget data specifikt för gatuparkeringar, därför skapades eget data utifrån Lantmäteriets kartor. Prototypen utvecklas som en webbanpassad applikation med open-source javascript-bibliotek för funktionalitet. Det egengjorda datat laddas in på kartan som vektorlager och får stil beroende på vad för det är för attribut. Linjerna ändras dynamiskt när datumparkering träder in och ändras sedan tillbaka. Målet med applikationen är att öka kunskapen om parkering och regler för att minska felparkeringar och hjälpa att hitta parkering.

Elektronikföretaget Mobiltech AB i Karlskrona, Blekinge, var i behov av en ny webbapplikation och visade sitt intresse i att låta oss utveckla en ny mer dynamisk lösning åt dem. Deras mål med systemet var att de själv enkelt via ett webbadministrations gränssnitt skulle kunna redigera alla information på deras företags webbsida. Systemet som helhet omfattas av kategorier, informationssektioner samt en erbjudande panel. Som via en lösning av kod struktur och design, som vi från grunden byggt upp för att passa de behov som finns, bildar en administrerbar sida. Vi utvecklade projektet genom att använda oss av PHP5 och MySQL5. Dessa tekniker är något som vi har använt oss av genomgående under våra år på utbildningen. Vi valde dessa tekniker efter att ha övervägt fördelar och nackdelar samt undersökt andra lösningar som vi känner till. Vi valde även dessa mjukvaror på grund av att vi kände att vi hade mest kunskap och tillit till dem, samtidigt som de skulle fylla våra mål och önskningar på ett smidigt och effektivt sätt. När det gäller den visuella biten valde vi att använda oss av de standarder som finns, XHTML 1.1 Strict och CSS2. För att nå vårat slutmål på detta projekt använde vi oss av de kunskaper vi tidigare skaffat på vår utbildning mot webbteknik, samt genom ett engagerat sökande kring de informations bitar som vi sedan tidigare inte kände att vi riktigt behärskade eller ens fått möjlighet att tillämpa.

This is a report on the development and implementation of the web shop “Urballa Ur”, a web application developed by nine students at Linköping university. The report illustrates the methodology and process with intention to answer the question “How can an online watch store be implemented to increase sales?”. During the process the agile method scrum has been used as a working method. A survey and a market plan was created and the results were used as a foundation for the backlog and implementation process. Additionally, a thorough theoretical study was conducted to found the report in academic research. The results of the study is discussed and the conclusion shows that, by creating a thorough backlog and a solid theoretical background, it is possible to develop a web shop with the requirements to answer the question.

Syftet med denna rapport har varit att beskriva hur man utvecklar en internetbokhandel i form av enwebbapplikation samt att dokumentera erfarenheter från programutveckling. För att kompensera för konkurrenternas stordriftsfördelar valdes en inriktning mot att säljapresentböcker. Genom att leverera ett komplett paket med inslagning och personlig hälsningtillsammans med boken ska det bli möjligt att uppnå lönsamhet. Utvecklingen har skett i ett enmansprojekt och den ensamme projektmedlemmen har befunnit sig påIrland. Detta gör att kursens inriktning mot agila metoder fått anpassas så att endast de relevantadelarna av metoden (SCRUM) har kommit till användning. Utvecklingen har genomförts i femsprintar. Teknikplattformen har varit HTML och ramverket Bootstrap (CSS och jQuery) på klientsidan och Flasksom är ett ramverk baserat på Python på serversida. Databashanteraren har varit SQLite. Av tidsskälhar asynkron kommunikation mellan klient och server inte implementerats. Den levererade applikationen har ett ”look and feel” som ligger nära de större konkurrenterna. Allspecificerad funktionalitet har inte varit möjlig att leverera inom ett begränsat enmansprojekt. Deviktigaste funktionerna som behöver läggas till för att lansera affärsiden ligger inom områdettilläggstjänster och fulltextsökning. / The purpose of this report is to document the design and development of a web application forselling gift books online. The report and the project to develop the site are included in the courseTDDD83 Computer Engineering - Bachelor Project at the Linköping Institute of Technology. Inaddition to training in the technologies required to build a web application the course is focused onScrum an agile development method. The intent is that the students practice using Scrum in a projectteam of six to eight students. However the project documented in this report only has one team member a student on a one yearexchange programme in Ireland. This being so it has been necessary to adapt the project scope andmethodology to a one-man project. The scope of the development effort is reduced by not requiringthat the application is made available on the internet and by not using asynchronous communicationbetween client and server. For more restrictions see paragraph 1.4 Avgränsningar. The Scrummethod is used only when it is relevant. This adaptation of the method is documented in paragraph2.1 SCRUM. An important part of the Scrum method that is retained is the use of iterations (sprints).Each sprint delivers a working end product. The project was divided in five sprints each of thembetween two and three weeks long. The technical platform with a few exceptions has been mandatory. In addition to HTML theframework Bootstrap based on CSS and jQuery has been used on the client side. On the server sidethe framework Flask based on Python has been used. The RDBMS has been SQLite. A new small player in thismarket can not earn money by doing the same thing. The Vision for the new business is to becomethe preferred choice for customers that want to find a book to be given as a gift. The new businessshall be a one stop shop that takes care of everything needed in this situation. In addition to booksthe customers need services such as gift wrapping, delivery to the receiver of the gift on the rightdate and a possibility to write a personal greeting on a nice looking card that is sent with the gift. Theanalysis behind this Vision can be found in chapter 5 Marknadsföringsplan that includes an analysisof the competitors. Chapter 6 Etiska aspekter looks into issues such as privacy legislation that imposedirect consequences on the design of the database. The design of the web application is based on user stories derived from this analysis. See 3Systemöversikt. Features that must beat the competitors are derived from the Vision and featuresthat are expected from any player in this market are set by the competitors. The ER model in 4.1Databas was defined from an analysis of the user stories. The GUI is close to the de facto standardset by the competitors unless there is a compelling reason to deviate. See 4.2 GUI. It has not been possible to implement all user stories within the time available. Remainingfunctionality required to launch the site is mainly in the area of full text search and add on services.The most important disadvantage in being a one man project has been difficulties to do propertesting. Usability testing requires real users and they cannot be replaced by the same person that hasdone all analysis and all coding.

In this work, a web application has been developed for the company Moverline with the server software Node.js and the database management program MySQL. Moverline's vision with this application is that it will be a long development project and therefore it is important that the usability is high. During this project, a qualitative empirical study was performed regarding the usability of the REST API. This qualitative information is gathered through interviews and discussions with Moverline employees. The API functions of the produced application were in most cases easy to understand and knowledge of the underlying implementation did not need to be possessed. Problems of the REST API were ambiguities about how the endpoint of the URL should look like and in most call functions the calls are answered with an HTML answer. This is not optimal from a usability perspective as it becomes more difficult to know if the operations went through and what kind of data has been sent. One development step to prevent this problem would be to implement a client part of the application that acts as an intermediary between the Node.js server and the HTML files.
