Infinitivamente pessoal: a autoficção de Caio Fernando Abreu, \'O biógrafo da emoção\' / Infinitivamente pessoal: the autofiction of Caio Fernando Abreu, the \"bigrapher of emotion\"Barbosa, Nelson Luis 08 May 2009 (has links)
This work aims to study the autofictional writings of Caio Fernando Abreu (1948-1996) according to the French scholars Serge Doubrovsky and Vincent Colonna, emphasizing and differentiating it from a supposedly autobiographic writing and also according to Philippe Lejeune. If, according to Doubrovsky, autofictional writing is recognizable by the requisite of homonimity author-narrator-character, to Colonna such requirement is not necessary. According to the latter, to identify Caio F.s autofiction, one must adopt the criteria of superposition of texts, based on Genets concept of paratext. Therefore, our goal is to establish the differential basis of an autofictional writing which creates in its structures of real and fictional facts elaborated by the language, as opposed to a writing considered autobiographic based on a intended pact of truth. Consequently, autofiction is the way of writing widely practiced by Caio F. In order to demonstrate this autofictional writing, we analyse and interprete Caios most important texts, identifying in them the structures that make them genuine autofictions.

Aspectos estruturais e dinâmicos da correspondência AdS/CFT: Uma abordagem rigorosa / Structural and Dynamical Aspects of the AdS/CFT Correspondence: a Rigorous ApproachRibeiro, Pedro Lauridsen 26 September 2007 (has links)
We elaborate a detailed study of certain aspects of (a version of) the AdS/CFT correspondence, conjectured by Maldacena and Witten, between quantum field theories in a gravitational background given by an asymptotically anti-de Sitter (AAdS) spacetime, and conformally covariant quantum field theories in the latter\'s conformal infinity (in the sense of Penrose), aspects such that: (a) are independent from (the pair of) specific models in Quantum Field Theory, and (b) susceptible to a recast in a mathematically rigorous mould. We adopt as a starting point the theorem demonstrated by Rehren in the context of Local Quantum Physics (also known as Algebraic Quantum Field Theory) in anti-de Sitter (AdS) spacetimes, called algebraic holography or Rehren duality. The main body of the present work consists in extending Rehren\'s result to a reasonably general class of d-dimensional AAdS spacetimes (d>3), scrutinizing how the properties of such an extension are weakened and/or modified as compared to AdS spacetime, and probing how non-trivial gravitational effects manifest themselves in the conformal infinity\'s quantum theory. Among the obtained results, we quote: not only does the imposition of reasonably general conditions on bulk null geodesics (whose plausibility we justify through geometrical rigidity techniques) guarantee that our generalization is geometrically consistent with causality, but it also allows a ``holographic\'\' reconstruction of the bulk topology in the absence of horizons and singularities; the implementation of conformal symmetries in the boundary, which we explicitly associate to an intrinsically constructed family of bulk asymptotic isometries, have a purely asymptotic character and is dynamically attained through a process of return to equilibrium, given suitable boundary conditions at infinity; gravitational effects may cause obstructions to the reconstruction of the bulk quantum theory, either by making the latter trivial in sufficiently small regions or due to the existence of multiple inequivalent vacua, which on their turn lead to the existence of solitonic excitations localized around domain walls, similar to D-branes. The proofs make extensive use of global Lorentzian geometry. The language employed for the quantum theories relevant for our generalization of Rehren duality follows the functorial formulation of Local Quantum Physics due to Brunetti, Fredenhagen and Verch, extended afterwards by Sommer in order to incorporate boundary conditions. Correspondência inexata entre grafos. / inexact graph correspondenceFreire, Alexandre da Silva 02 July 2008 (has links)
Let GI = (VI ,AI) and GM = (VM,AM) be two simple graphs. A mapping from GI to GM is an association set, such that each vertex in VI is associated to a vertex in VM, and each edge in AI is associated to a pair of vertices of VM. A cost is defined to each possible association. The inexact graph correspondence problem (IGCP) consists in finding a mapping from GI to GM, such that the sum of its associations costs is minimized. In this dissertation, we summarize the results found in the literature about the IGCP and some variations. The results included here address the question of how to formulate the IGCP and some variations, using integer linear programming. We prove some computational complexity results which relate IGCP variations with classical problems, like graph isomorphism and partitioning. We give an integer linear programming formulation to the ICEC (IGCP with connectivity and edges cover). We show that the ICEC is NP-hard when the input graphs are complete or trees (we call the second case ICEC for trees). We introduce an integer linear formulation and an algorithm - which has polynomial running time if the vertices of VM have maximum degree bounded by a constant - to the ICEC for trees. We show a especial case in which the ICEC for trees can be solved in polynomial time. Finally, we present some experimental results, also with instances of a real application of the problem.

This work is a systematic study of Pierre des Noyers’ correspondence, analysed and contextualized with the aim to understand at the same time the secretary’s considerations about Poland but mostly their evolution decade after decade. Such study allows us to find numerous references to Polish thinkers of the time and assess the general quality of his knowledge about his new motherland. Far from being just a secretary for Louise-Marie, Pierre des Noyers becomes year after year a true agent at the service of the queen as well as France, who links both courts thanks to an intense epistolary activity, all while being strongly influenced by the Polish nobility’s mentality, especially their desire for liberty. The first part is a study on Poland in 1645, at the time when Pierre des Noyers settles in Warsaw : its geography, institutions and the nobility’s ideology. Here are summarized constraints encountered by the queen Louise-Marie while pursuing her political ageda as well as the mental universe in which Pierre des Noyers slowly blends in. The second part deals with the queen’s entourage, especially between 1660 and 1667, according to her secretary’s correspondence. This representation is of crucial importance because this is the picture that France gets about the queen’s political party, which in turn greatly influences France’s actions and instructions sent to their ambassadors. The last part is about Pierre des Noyers himself; especially his various interests and his role after Louise-Marie’s death. Thanks to the general confidence he inspires among the queen’s partisans, Pierre des Noyers becomes one of their main channel of expression and influence in France.

Multidimensional local skew-fieldsZheglov, Alexander 10 July 2002 (has links)
In this work we study local skew fields, which are natural generalization of n-dimensional local fields, and their applications to the theory of central division algebras over henselian fields. We study mostly two-dimensional local skew fields with commutative residue skew field. The sufficient condition for a skew field to be split is given. Namely, a local skew field splits if the canonical automorphism has infinite order. We classify all the skew fields which posess this condition up to isomorphism. These results don't depend on the characteristic of a skew field. We classify all local splittable skew fields of characteristic 0 with commutative residue skew field and with the canonical automorphism of finite order as well. Some other properties of local skew fields are studied. In particular, we give a criterium when two elements from such a skew field conjugate. As a corollary we prove that almost all such skew fields are infinite dimensional over their center. Also we prove that the Scolem-Noether theorem holds only in the case of the classical ring of pseudo-differential operators. Studying of local skew fields leads to some new unexpected results in the valuation theory on finite dimensional division algebras. We get a decomposition theorem for some class of wild division algebras over a Laurent series field with arbitrary residue field of characteristic greater than two. This theorem is a generalization of the decomposition theorem for tame division algebras given by B.Jacob and A.Wadsworth. As a corollary we get the positive answer on the following conjecture: the exponent of a division algebra is equal to its index if the centre of this algebra is a Laurent series field with arbitrary quasialgebraically closed residue field. Using some ideas of A.N. Parshin, who raised a problem of classifying local skew fields, we get some applications of developed theory to the Krichever correspondence. Namely, we get some generalizations of the classical KP-equations (hierarchy). The problem of classification of local skew fields leads to the problem of classification of conjugacy classes in the automorphism group of an n-dimensional local (commutative) field. We solve this problem for the group of continuous automorphisms of one- and two- dimensional local fields.

Aspects of noncommutativity and holography in field theory and string theorySieg, Christoph 31 March 2005 (has links)
This thesis addresses two topics: noncommutative Yang-Mills theories and the AdS/CFT correspondence. In the first part we study a partial summation of the theta-expanded perturbation theory. The latter allows one to define noncommutative Yang-Mills theories with arbitrary gauge groups G as a perturbation expansion in the noncommutativity parameter theta. We show that for G being a subset of U(N) but not equal to U(M), M

Strings in plane wave backgroundsPankiewicz, Ari 13 June 2003 (has links)
The interplay between string and gauge theory has led to many new insights in recent years. The most prominent example is the AdS/CFT correspondence, a duality between string theory on Anti-de Sitter (AdS) spaces and conformal gauge theories defined on their boundary. The study of string theory on plane wave backgrounds, which are connected to AdS by the Penrose limit, opens up the possibility of testing this duality beyond the low-energy supergravity approximation. Generalized plane wave geometries are interesting in themselves, as they provide a large class of exact classical space-time backgrounds for string theory. In this thesis aspects of string theory on plane wave backgrounds are studied, with an emphasis on the connection to gauge theory. String interactions in the plane wave space-time with maximal supersymmetry are investigated in the framework of light-cone string field theory. In the process, many results that had been found for the case of flat Minkowski space-time are generalized to the more complex plane wave background. The leading non-planar corrections to the anomalous dimensions of gauge theory operators dual to string states are recovered within light-cone string field theory.

The Southern Netherlands and Hungary during the War of the Spanish Succession : the ambitions of the French diplomacyMaurin, Olivier 09 December 2016 (has links)
At the beginning of the 18th century, Hungary and the Southern Netherlands are coveted by the French diplomacy. Those peripheral provinces of The Habsburg Empire oppose the centralization policy lead by Madrid and Vienna. In order to realize his dynastic ambitions, Louis XIV uses this context to destabilize these territories during the War of the Spanish Succession triggered by the death of the last Habsburg King of Spain, Charles II, the first November 1700. Louis XIV mobilizes his army and his ambassadors in the continuity of the foreign alliances « Alliance de revers » that have been conducted during centuries. The marquis des Alleurs and the president Pierre Rouillé de Marbeuf, agents of Louis XIV, half spy, half ambassadors, are respectively send in Hungary nearby the rebel prince François Rakoczi and in the Southern Netherlands nearby the general governor of the province and Elector of Bavaria, Maximilien-Emmanuel de Wittelsbach. Far from the din of the battlefield of the Spanish Succession, another war hardens. The battle for information’s became the first preoccupation of European courts. The confidentiality of the epistolary correspondences is a crucial object of attention. The purpose of this study is to define the framework of the French ambitions in Hungary and the Southern Netherlands at the beginning of the 18th century. The « alliance de revers » and military moves during the War of the Spanish Succession replace those two European countries at the heart of dynastic, diplomatic and military conflicts opposing the Bourbon’s and the Habsburg’s for European hegemony.

Correspondance de Jacquet-Langlands et distinction / Jacquet-Langlands correspondence and distinguishnessConiglio-Guilloton, Charlène 11 July 2014 (has links)
Let K/F be a tamely ramified quadratic extension of non-archimedean locally compact fields. Let GLm (D) be an inner form of GLn (F) and GLμ (∆) = (Mm (D)⊗K)× . Then GLμ (∆) is an inner form of GLn (K), the quotients GLμ (∆)/GLm (D) and GLn (K)/GLn (F) are symmetric spaces. Using the parametrization of Silberger and Zink, we determine conditions of GLm (D)-distinction for level zero cuspidal representations of GLμ (∆). We also show that a level zero cuspidal representation of GLn (K) is GLn (F)-distinguished if and only if its image by the Jacquet-Langlands correspondence is GLm (D)-distinguished. Then, we treat the case of level zero non supercuspidal representations when μ = 2 and m = 1 using the coefficient system of the Bruhat-Tits building associated to the representation by Schneider and Stuhler.
