L'objectif principal de cette dissertation est d'analyser les rapports entre l'associativisme sportif et les représentations de l'identité culturelle germano-brésilienne, à Porto Alegre (RS, Brésil) dans la période comprise entre 1867 et 1945. Le processus d'émergence et d'expansion de l'associativisme sportif à Porto Alegre a été identifié en relation avec l'identité culturelle germano-brésilienne. De plus ont été évaluées les répercussions des mesures de nationalisation implantées par le gouvernement brésilien sur les associations sportives germano-brésiliennes. L'investigation exploratoire réalisée dans cette dissertation est structurée en trois études basées sur la consultation des documents imprimés (journaux, almanachs, albums, livres commémoratifs, revues, parmi d'autres) et sur des témoignages oraux d'athlètes (n = 8) ayant vécu entre 1867 et 1945. En conclusion, l'émergence d'associativisme sportif à Porto Alegre fut le fruit de l'initiative volontaire des brésiliens d'origine allemande et son expansion fut le résultat d'une émulation entre cette population et les tentatives de nationalisation du gouvernement brésilien. Encore de nos jours, l'identité culturelle allemande fait partie intégrante des associations sportives. Cette identité s'affirme dans le maintien de la langue allemande et dans l'adoptions de symboles representatifs de la Patrie d'origine. / O principal objetivo desta dissertação foi analisar as relações entre o associativismo desportivo e as representações da identidade cultural teuto-brasileira, em Porto Alegre (RS, Brasil), no período de 1867 a 1945. O processo de emergência e expansão do associativismo desportivo em Porto Alegre e as representações da identidade cultural teuto-brasileira e sua ligação com o associativismo desportivo foram identificadas, e as repercussões das medidas de nacionalização impetradas pelo governo brasileiro nas associações desportivas teuto-brasileiras foram avaliadas. A investigação exploratória realizada nesta dissertação estruturou-se em três estudos, baseados na consulta de documentos impressos (jornais, almanaques, álbuns, livros comemorativos, revistas, entre outros) e depoimentos orais de atletas (n = 8) que vivenciaram o período de 1867-1945. Concluiu-se que a emergência do associativismo desportivo em Porto Alegre foi fruto da iniciativa voluntária dos teuto-brasileiros, e sua expansão resultou do confronto entre os teuto-brasileiros e as tentativas de nacionalização do governo brasileiro. Ainda, as associações desportivas constituíram-se num espaço de representação da identidade cultural da comunidade teuto-brasileira em Porto Alegre. Esta identidade foi afirmada especialmente nas práticas desportivas, na manutenção da língua alemã e na adoção de símbolos representativos da Pátria de origem. / The main purpose of this dissertation was to analyze the relation between sportive associations and representations of the Teutonic-Brazilian cultural identity in Porto Alegre (RS, Brazil), in 1867-1945. The rise and expansion of the sportive associations in Porto Alegre, and the representations of Teutonic-Brazilian cultural identity and its connection with the sportive associations were investigated, and the results of the nationalization actions taken by the Brazilian government on the sportive associations were evaluated. The exploratory methodology used in this dissertation was structured in three studies, based on documentation research (newspapers, albums, commemorative books, magazines, among others) and oral interviews with athletes (n = 8) that lived between 1867 and 1945. It was concluded that the sportive associations in Porto Alegre were created by voluntary actions taken by the teutonic-brazilians, and its expansion resulted from conflicts between the teutonic-brazilians and the nationalization actions taken by the Brazilian government. Furthermore, the sportive associations produced a space for the representation of the Teutonic-Brazilian cultural identity in Porto Alegre. Such identity was strengthened by sports, by the maintenance of the German language, and by using representative symbols of Germany.

A escolha por este episódio reside no fato de descrever a visita da família Simpsons ao Brasil e, assim, construir uma narrativa baseada em críticas e estereótipos sobre os personagens brasileiros e a cultura do país. Lançado em 2002, o episódio causou bastante polêmica entre os telespectadores e o próprio governo brasileiro. O desenvolvimento desta pesquisa será pautado principalmente nos Estudos Culturais, através da análise do episódio, a partir de pesquisa bibliográfica e de outros conteúdos (filmes, livros, jornais, revistas, etc) que nos forneçam indícios para entendermos a forma como as imagens sobre o país, sob uma perspectiva “estrangeira”, construiu-se marcada por estereótipos. Partindo da inquietação causada pelas imagens do país reproduzidas nos filmes estrangeiros tentamos discutir de que maneira esse olhar é direcionado a “nós”, qual o processo de construção desse retrato brasileiro e a dimensão do diálogo entre o olhar do “outro” e o do nativo, tendo em vista as identidades do brasileiro e do Brasil forjadas por “nós”. / With the object of analysis the episode "Blame it on Lisa" series of U.S. "The Simpsons", this study discusses the process of images construction on Brazil, from view and foreign relations of identity and otherness, strangeness and identifications. The choice this episode lies in the fact describes the Simpsons family visit to Brazil and thus constructs a narrative based on criticisms and stereotypes about the characters and the Brazilian culture. Launched in 2002, the episode caused quite a stir among viewers and Brazilian government. The development of this research will be guided mainly in Cultural Studies, through analysis of the episode, from literature and other content (movies, books, newspapers, magazines, etc.) that give us clues to understanding how images on the country, from one perspective "foreign", built up marked by stereotypes. Starting from the unrest caused by the images reproduced in the country foreign films, we discuss how this gaze is directed to “ourselves", how the process of constructing this Brazil‟s portrait and the size of the dialogue between the gaze of the "other" and the native, having in view of the identities of Brazil and Brazilian forged by "ourselves."

Consisting of specific objectives to identify, verify how the preservation, understanding of these myths, and the possibility of contribution to the continuation of studies and surveys that portray the history and memory black. The couple's Theory of the Imaginary by Gilbert Durand, we adopt the mitoanálise that allows simultaneous analysis of the myths with the methodology of qualitative ethnographic approach in order to describe, thick, the survey data collected through semi-structured direct observation and identification record. Explains the theoretical and methodological Theory durandiana with its functions, features and contributions to the historical course of humanity. Highlights concepts of information, memory and preservation addressed in CI. Points out the myths of African culture, the ancestry of black Alcantara and Maranhao in order to describe the socio-economic-political-cultural Itamatatiuenses. Identifies the mythological figures prevailing in African education, leisure and health from the lenses of the Basin and Semantic Topical Mimic. We conclude that the mythological information and its preservation should occur in partnership with the Law 10.639/03, and this information may bring back self-esteem and serve to perpetuate the tradition of the inhabitants of Itamatatiua. / O objetivo deste estudo é analisar os mitos da cultura africana como elementos de informação e preservação na memória da Comunidade Quilombola Alcantarense de Itamatatiua. Para isso, elencaram-se os seguintes objetivos específicos: identificar, verificar como esses mitos são compreendidos e como podem contribuir para a continuidade de estudos e pesquisas que retratem a história e a memória negra. A par da Teoria do Imaginário, de Gilbert Durand, adota-se a mitoanálise, que permite a análise dos mitos concomitante com a metodologia qualitativa de abordagem etnográfica, com o propósito de descrever, densamente, os dados da pesquisa recolhidos por meio de entrevista semiestruturada, observação direta e ficha de identificação. Explana o referencial teórico-metodológico da Teoria durandiana, com suas funções, particularidades e contribuições para a trajetória histórica da humanidade. Destaca conceitos de informação, memória e preservação abordados na CI. Aponta os mitos da cultura africana, a ancestralidade dos negros do Maranhão e de Alcântara, a fim de descrever o contexto socioeconômico, político e cultural dos itamatatiuenses. Identifica as figuras mitológicas africanas predominantes na educação, no lazer e na saúde, através das lentes da Bacia Semântica e Tópica Diagramática. Conclui-se que a informação mitológica e sua preservação devem ocorrer em parceria com a Lei 10.639/03, e essas informações podem devolver a autoestima e servir para perpetuar a tradição dos quilombolas de Itamatatiua.

No. of bitstreams: 1 113290.pdf: 1091004 bytes, checksum: 46dc62d32f4949155af17c6a0d8aabf2 (MD5) Previous issue date: 2013-03-26 / Coordenação de Aperfeiçoamento de Pessoal de Nível Superior / Esta dissertação tem como tema central o estudo das relações estabelecidas entre o grupo de samba-jazz, No Olho da Rua, e a zona sul da cidade do Rio de Janeiro a partir das performances ao vivo , aos domingos, na calçada da Praia de Ipanema e, como objetivos, determinar os significados que, provavelmente, estão sendo atribuídos a essas performances por seus ouvintes, de que maneira estes significados se articulam na construção das relações entre o grupo e os moradores do bairro e o peso desses processos para o desenrolar da carreira do grupo. Para tanto, primeiramente, discutem-se: as várias maneiras através das quais a música estabelece ligações com os lugares e sociedades que a produzem e que dela fazem uso; a utilização da música popular como símbolo de identidade; e as imagens identitárias cariocas e ipanemenses. Em seguida, são abordadas as formas pelas quais a bossa nova e o samba-jazz estabelecem seus laços com os bairros da zona sul da cidade do Rio de Janeiro e, mais especificamente, com o bairro de Ipanema. Por fim, são analisadas reportagens, depoimentos e entrevistas, juntamente com o material áudio visual existente sobre o grupo (clips, capas de CDs e gravações das performances ao vivo ). Nesse processo, percebe-se que apesar dos shows do No Olho da Rua produzirem sentidos diversos, frutos da subjetividade inerente à escuta, tanto a fruição dessas performances por parte dos ouvintes como a construção de seus significados e de suas ligações com o lugar se constituem por uma intrincada rede de articulações entre elementos musicais e extramusicais que dialogam com a história do bairro e dos gêneros, a partir dos quais o grupo se define, assim como, com especificidades sociais, culturais e ideológicas comuns a uma parcela dos habitantes daquela área da cidade. Consequentemente, pela força dessas articulações, o grupo torna-se uma marca da identidade local e, da mesma forma, o lugar passa a ocupar um papel de destaque nos discursos, a partir dos quais o grupo se define e é definido pela imprensa e pelos fãs.

O espaço escolar é um dos lugares onde a cultura é manifestada, integrando diferentes valores. Por isso, este estudo tem como objetivo analisar os valores culturais presentes nas produções escritas por adolescentes para a dramatização em período escolar. O estudo foi realizado por meio da análise de textos dramáticos produzidos por alunos de uma escola da rede particular de ensino da cidade de Caxias do Sul. A pesquisa utiliza o método da análise de conteúdo, tendo como corpus textos teatrais produzidos no período dos onze anos de existência da escola selecionada, os quais sinalizam alguns dos aspectos culturais valorizados no período da adolescência. Do estudo dos textos emergiram categorias culturais temáticas que se referem a: relações sociais: família e amizades; cultura regional: traços da cultura italiana e gauchesca; literatura e cinema e passado, futuro e meio ambiente; mídia e tecnologia. A abordagem desses assuntos define aspectos do universo da adolescência, considerado do ponto de vista regional e caracterizado pela mistura de culturas representadas socialmente. Na compreensão das questões culturais, escolares e teatrais, utilizou-se um aporte teórico que definiu alguns termos importantes para a compreensão das manifestações culturais por meio das representações literárias associadas ao teatro, tais como: cultura, identidade, imaginário, adolescência e teatro escolar. O referencial teórico utilizado permitiu o entendimento da cultura e de como os valores aparecem e são articulados nesse grupo, representados pelo texto teatral. This study aims at analyzing cultural values that are disclosed in adolescents written productions assigned in drama classes. The study analyzed drama scripts presented by students of a private school in Caxias do Sul. The research method was based on content analysis and its corpus is a set of drama scripts produced throughout an 11-year-period, which address to some cultural aspects that are valued among adolescents. From the study it was possible to come up with cultural themes related to family and friends; regional culture; traces of Italian and local (gaucho) cultures; literature; movies and the past; (worries about) the future and the environment; media and technology. The approach of such topics is defined by the aspects expressed in the adolescents universe, from a regional point of view which is characterized by a mix of socially represented cultures. In order to understand the topics related to adolescents culture, school and drama aspects, it was employed a theoretical support that defines important terminology to the comprehension of such cultural expression represented by literary relations associated to drama, namely culture, identity, imaginary, adolescence and school drama. The theoretical support employed also allowed the understanding of the culture and how values are shown and are articulated within the group, transcribed through the drama scripts. As a result, this study intends to contribute to the understanding of adolescents cultural identity as well as to further studies that involve the investigation of culture and literature in regional and school contexts.

Este estudo tem como objetivo analisar, através de um ritual de passagem, os valores culturais presentes em uma comunidade rural. Ao narrar suas lembranças sobre o rito de passagem, os moradores dessa comunidade trazem para a discussão as experiências vividas no rito do casamento e os significados que elas representaram em suas vidas. A riqueza desse estudo qualitativo sustenta-se na possibilidade de entrar nessas experiências, analisar em que aspectos da cultura elas se estruturam e o que representam para sua manutenção. A pesquisa usa a etnografia como base metodológica e a entrevista narrativa semi-estruturada como técnica de coleta de dados. A amostra é intencional, composta por trinta entrevistados, de três diferentes gerações. Os critérios de seleção dos sujeitos para participarem da pesquisa foram: estado civil, residência no local em estudo, idade e sexo. A partir dessas variáveis, foram criados três grupos de entrevistados, divididos por idades distintas, a fim de caracterizar as gerações. O referencial teórico utilizado permitiu analisar a cultura dessa comunidade, através das obras de Van Gennep, Turner, Segalen e DaMatta, e identificar as etapas de um rito de passagem e dos valores inseridos nesse rito na comunidade. Desse modo, o estudo acerca dessas narrativas contribuiu para mostrar que esse rito se mantém na comunidade como parte da cultura e dos valores sociais que constituem sua identidade cultural. When narrating their memories, the inhabitants of this community bring to discussion the experiences lived in the wedding rite and the meanings that they represented in their lives. The richness of this qualitative study sustains itself in the possibility of deeply knowing these experiences, analyzing the cultural aspects which they organize themselves in and what they represent for their maintenance. The research uses ethnography as methodological basis and the semi-structured narrative interview as the data gathering technique. The sample is intentional consisting of thirty interviewees from three distinct generations. The subject selection criteria to take part in the research were: marital status, residence at the place of research, age and gender. Based on these variables, three interviewee groups were created divided by distinct ages in order to distinguish the generations. The theoretical referential used enabled the analysis of this community`s culture through Van Gennep, Turner, Segalen and DaMatta works, and to identify the rite of passage stages and the values inserted in this rite at the community. This way the study around these narratives contributed to show that this rite maintains itself in the community as part of the culture and social values that constitute its culutural identity. The study even demonstrates that the rites are products of social forces and that they maintain themselves alive despite the speed at which the society develops.

Este trabalho discute a presença da regionalidade e da universalidade na obra Sagarana, de João Guimarães Rosa. Para tanto, são utilizados fundamentos teóricos oriundos dos estudos sobre imaginário social e identidade cultural, visando analisar a contribuição dos elementos imaginários e identitátios para a construção da regionalidade do universo ficcional representado, bem como para a expressão de sua pretendida universalidade. Examinam-se diversas formas de representações simbólicas valorizadas na região e como elas encerram aspectos de universalidade, vertidos em linguagem literária. Therefore, it uses theoretical principles from the studies on social imaginary and cultural identity, intending to analyze the contribution of imaginary and identity elements for constructing the regionality of the fictional universe represented, as well as for expressing its intended universality. It examines several forms of symbolic representations valued in the region and the way they enclose aspects of universality, translated into literary language. It´s an interdisciplinary discussion concerning Literature, Sociology and Anthropology, which is connected to the regionality studies.

Our thesis intend, by the review of novel Under the frangipani, to demonstrate that the mozambican writer Mia Couto intends to participate the (re)construction of a devasted nation by war and conflicts, based on belief that the role writer "is to create requisites of a more african thought, to the assessment of your place and your time won't be done from categories created by others" (COUTO, 2005). At first, we show how the mozambican literary system consists itself; then, the insertion of coutian narrative against the prevalence tradition and, also, by the analysis of the constituent elements of the chosen novel, the way how made piece of resistance to reification, objectification of the individuald in the contemporary world , your writing will be present in this sharing of the sensitive. Besides Mia Couto, in our work we'll counting on the lessons of Candido, Noa, Hernandez, Adorno, Paz, Fonseca, Secco, among others studious of african narrative and, specially, Mozambique narrative / Sempre vista pelos olhos de fora, desconhecedores das l?nguas e outras realidades que a constitui, a ?frica, notadamente Mo?ambique, agora se (re)inventa, palimpsesticamente, nas narrativas de seus griots, narradores e/ou contadeiros de est?rias. Nossa disserta??o pretende, pela an?lise cr?tica do romance A varanda do frangipani, demonstrar que o escritor mo?ambicano Mia Couto tenciona participar do processo de (re)constru??o de uma na??o devastada por guerras e conflitos, baseado na cren?a de que o papel do escritor ? o de criar os pressupostos de um pensamento mais africano, para que a avalia??o do seu lugar e do seu tempo deixe de ser feita a partir de categorias criadas pelos outros (COUTO, 2005).
