Previous issue date: 2018-06-18 / The objective of this work was to present the general guidelines of the Brazilian port
law before the new legislation (Law 12.815 / 2013). Having done this, to present the
peculiarities of the legal regime of authorization for the exploitation of private
terminals, which can only be done by overcoming the traditional concept of the
authorization institute and demonstrating that we are facing a polysemic concept.
The work also addressed the intention of the legislator to bring competition to the port
sector, requiring, for this, to establish regulatory asymmetry in the face of the
peculiarities of being in front of a service that can be exploited, both as a public
service and in the condition economic activity in the strict sense. To that end, there
should be increased attention of the control agencies - National Waterway
Transportation Agency and Administrative Council of Economic Defense / O objetivo desse trabalho foi apresentar as diretrizes gerais do direito portuário

The dissertation herewith provides some brief information on the economic activities which are developed in the town of Rio Grande, from its foundation in February 1737 until presently. The overall aim of this study is to analyze how today’s economic cycle, which is based on the Naval Complex, differs from the previous ones. The specific aims intend to: identify the cycles of economic development throughout the history of Rio Grande; to see how the Naval Complex industry was started in the town of Rio Grande; and to check possible changes in the town’s economy after the start of the referred Naval Complex. It is worthwhile to point out that the town used to have its economy based on agriculture and cattle raising during the time of its formation. However, Rio Grande used to stand out as a harbour outlet of the local produce back then, which included the period of the jerked beef business, although the town did not host any industries of the latter business sector due to local climate constraints. During the period of the local industry formation, the town hosted a diversified industry such as textiles, meatpacking, food, oil refining, fishing, as well as fertilizers. Nowadays, with the establishment of the Naval Complex, Rio Grande holds a diversified Industrial District, which comprises companies of several sectors, such as metallurgy, energy, chemicals, wood, paper and cellulose, services, food, and fertilizers, as well as hosting an excellent harbor structure, capable of outletting the farm and cattle raising produce from all over the state of Rio Grande do Sul.

Previous issue date: 2016-03-04 / Conselho Nacional de Desenvolvimento Científico e Tecnológico / In this paper I place the memory of the angola candomblé in Santos city, indentifying the
caboclo s role in this religious structure. The memories pointed out a fixed point in space,
which is the pier. The pier became the scenery, the landscape, in which the memory of a
candomblé by the sea was anchored. In the speaker s voices, the masts, the sails, the
streetcars, the streets and the city allies have expressed themselves as walking rhetoric and
also pieced together the web in which several practices and cultural dynamics were attached.
In this net of sense and meaning the angola nation takes a privileged spot in this analysis. We
defend that the caboclo is a key component in this religious structure of this nation. This
entity brought, as one tries to argue, a kind of unity to the angola candomblé. One of the
premises which involves the caboclo s analysis consists in giving him the role to keep angola
candomblé memory and identity. This thesis is a paper about the memory in many ways like:
the researcher s view, the crossed memories, the memory guardians role, the caboclo s
performances, and other aspects / Neste trabalho situo a memória do Candomblé Angola na cidade de Santos, identificando o
papel do caboclo nessa estrutura religiosa. As lembranças apontaram um ponto fixo no
espaço, qual seja o cais do porto.
do Candomblé Angola.

What is located on the bottom in the water outside of Birka? Remains of a water palisade or jetties and other constructions.

Birka a Viking Age town that existed between AD 750 and 975 was located on the northwestern part of the small island of Björkö, in the Mälar archipelago of the Baltic Sea in Sweden. The Town was protected onshore by a hill fort and a town rampart. It is a widely spread assumption that Birka had a water palisade as a part of its defense. There are logs and other remnants on the bottom of the lake dating back to the Viking age. Uncertainty remains as to the origin of these remnants. The questions being, are they from a water palisade or the remnants of jetties and other constructions. The amount of fire wood alone needed to support 500 inhabitants for one year is equal to a wall of wood one meter high, one meter wide and two kilometers in length. This calculation does not take into account the wood used for transportation of other materials, people and animals. The conclusion is that future examination of the area is necessary to find out what is located on the bottom in the water.

Stadsplaneringens påverkan på de unga i Malmö : en fallstudie i Västra Hamnen / Urban planning and its impact on young people of Malmo : A case study in the Western HarbourJafar, Farah January 2013 (has links)
The background of this project is to understand how community affects young people in cities. The study focuses on a district in Western Harbor in Malmo. Malmo city has been exposed to social and economic problems due to the high unemployment and the crimes the city witnesses. It is interesting to study how city´s sustainability initiative affected the teenagers. Bo01 is an international example of sustainable urban development located in the Western Harbor and it is supplied with only locally produced renewable energy. Do teenagers in Malmo have knowledge about that? The main goals behind the construction of this district were to create the “mixed city”, “Meeting places” and “the knowledge city”. This study was based on questionnaire distributed to students in the final year of high school and to university students. Afterward, I made interviews to get more approach to how the main questions were responded. The majority of the high school students know nothing about the renewable energy sources of Bo01 but after starting the project of the Western Harbor the majority of high school students have become more interested in the environment and sustainability. The city needs to establish general youth knowledge of the sustainable development in the city, in order to achieve a sustainable society. The investigation also revealed that most of the teenagers have a positive adaptation to the location of the University of Malmo. Malmo city has been successfully creating meeting places for the youths who contributed to increase integration and profound new contacts. For the high school students the Western Harbor has been very popular during the warm seasons, 53% go there more than once a week. University student did visit the district 1-3 times in summer.
