This project has evolved from my own observation of our deteriorating living environments. I am exploring the development of a visual story to represent my contemplation of humankind's consumption, and how it endangers the balance of the natural world. Through drawing and animation, I hope to develop a visual language and an approach to storytelling that will inspire people to think about balancing economic, environmental, and ethical issues in design and development, and to advocate a simple honest life and noninterference with the necessary course of natural events.

The object of my disertation is connection poetry and locomotion with pre-school children. The goal of my research is realize, which poems and motions are prefered by children and what is the reason of their choose. The methods in my dissertation are interview, experiment and observation. All of these methods detect relation of children to poetry and locomotion. I have discovered the interesting style of work with pre-school children. The children have appreciated various language and form resources. I have discovered, that children love particularly dynamical and simple activities, which enable maximum discharge of energy. I will trying to choose the poetry and locomotion, which is the nearest for pre- school age.I hope, that my discovered will be interesting inspiration for teacher in kindergarten.

我們的生活中免不了會有身邊親友去世的經驗,甚至每日的報章媒體也都隨處看得到有人因天災、意外、疾病等原因而死亡的消息,故說死亡的陰影是如影隨形跟著每一個人,既然每人或早或晚都得面對死亡這一關,那麼對這個人生的重大課題,值得認真去面對它、瞭解它。 而本研究採取深度訪談法,主要以正德社會福利慈善基金會的「西方蓮社」臺北分社助念志工為主,以助念經驗逾兩年以上者挑選五位作訪談之研究;另外訪問兩位承天禪寺蓮池共修會助念志工,至於其他四位受訪者各隸屬於法鼓山、諾那精舍、靈巖山念佛會、圓山念佛會,合計本文之訪談助念志工共有十一位。而本文所謂的助念,係指對臨終者的開導佛理與幫助亡者提起正念,專心念「阿彌陀佛」佛號,祈求集合眾人專心念佛的力量,幫助亡者蒙佛接引,往生西方極樂世界。 研究結果發現如下:一.助念瑞相,不可思議;二.寂滅為樂,不再輪迴;三.深信切願,念佛要深;四.風不止而樹茁壯,親不待而勤助念;五.肉體幻滅,神識仍在;六.莫存僥倖,平日勤修;七.助念志工,不與人爭;八.提起正念,安定亡靈。 關於助念志工的生命觀,為藉假修真、修行往生,生死何重、死為重矣,深信切願、必能往生。其關係圓融之研究,則分為志工團體合作默契、家人關係的圓融、鄰居關係的圓融、工作單位的關係圓融、人生觀之關係圓融等研究向度,總歸其看法為「人生如過客,有何好計較」、「修行要緊,不與人爭」、「別人都對,抱歉我錯」、「面對現實,明辨真假」、「富貴在天,不怕吃虧」。 本文並依據研究發現,對助念志工的建議為:至誠懇切、念佛要深;參透生死、自度度人;發心在剎那、恆持到永遠。對死者與家屬的建議為:生前要預立遺囑,交待後事。對社會大眾的建議為:每一個家庭最少有一兩位成員要懂得助念。對醫療體系的建議為:培訓更多志工、義工來從事臨終關懷的工作。對佛教道場的建議為:加強宣導助念的方法與功效,讓「助念」普及化。對政府機構的建議為:培訓更多宗教師等專業人士。對葬儀社的建議為:避免打斷助念流程,協助讓助念工作圓滿、助亡者往西。 關鍵詞: 助念、助念志工、生命觀、關係圓融 / We cannot avoid encountering and experiencing the death of loved ones around us in our lives. Even through media or newspaper, we read about people dying of sickness, accidents, and natural disasters, just to name a few. We can say that everyone is coupled with death. Since facing death is something one must deal with sooner or later, we can say it is one of the most important studies in our lives. It is worthy for us to think about it and understand it seriously. This study applies the in-depth interview of qualitative research. There are eleven volunteers of End-of-Life Chanting as the research population in this study, including interviewing the main study group, five volunteers from Cheng Te Western Lotus Society, Taipei Chapter, who have more than two years of End-of-Life Chanting experience, the other volunteers from different five groups. In this study, End-of-Life Chanting refers to the process of the Buddhist Chanting Assistance, including both the counseling and the last rite ceremonies, and by uniting the full will power of the End-of-Life Chanting group, chanting Amitabha’s name to help the deceased be escorted by the Buddha to reside in Western Pureland. This study concludes the following: 1. The corpse has a peaceful appearance, which is simply amazing 2. At peace with being dead, not returning back to the life of being human 3. Recite sutra sincerely and believe deeply 4. Worship the deceased parents by reciting sutra and End-of-Life Chanting 5. The spirit of the dead is still alive although the flesh no longer exists 6. Recite sutra diligently and regularly 7. Don’t argue or compete with others 8. Calm the soul of the dead The life philosophy of End-of-Life Chanting volunteers include weighing in the importance of life and death in order to know to take death seriously, reciting sutra sincerely and diligently, believing that it will bring life after death. The studies of the harmonious relationship includes researching the team spirit and team work among End-of-Life Chanting volunteers, relationships among family members, neighbors, and colleagues, and the attitudes toward life. In short, it concludes that, “life is short, why arguing with others?”“the cultivation of oneself is important, competing with others is not necessary”, “others are always right, I need to work on my mistakes”, “facing with the reality of facts, telling the right from wrong”, and “regards the wealth as a gift from God, and not being afraid to be taken advantage of”. . Based on the research findings, there are some suggestions: 1. To End-of-Life Chanting volunteers : recite sutra sincerely;believe that life is unpredictable and chanting is a good deed benefiting others and yourselves;do a good deed at one moment but maintain and support it till forever. 2. To the surviving family members: Have a will made before death in order to set up everything and let your wishes be known 3. To the society:Every family should at least have one or two members who know the work of End-of-Life Chanting ceremonies. 4. To the hospital and medical field: Educate and train more volunteers to engage in the End-of-Life Chanting ceremonies. 5. To the Buddhist temples:To publicize the method and effectiveness of the End-of-Life Chanting, make End-of-Life Chanting more popular and wide- spread . 6. To the government:Educate and train more religious professionals. 7. 「如何提昇員工的工作熱情?」—從主管行為的角度探討 / “How to Enhance Employees’ Work Passion?”: The Perspective of Supervisor Behaviors

員工具有工作熱情對企業與員工本身都有正面效益,因此,如何提高員工的工作熱情,是企業必須要關心的議題。然而,過去雖有研究指出直屬主管的行為對於員工工作熱情具有一定的影響力,但少有文獻有進一步的探討,因此,本研究希望從主管行為的角度出發,深入探討哪些主管行為有助於提高員工的工作熱情。本研究分成兩階段進行,第一階段透過文獻回顧,以及訪談五位實務界的專家,瞭解有哪些主管行為能提高員工工作熱情,並依照文獻資料與訪談結果編制主管行為問卷。第二階段使用第一階段發展的問卷進行量化驗證,以確認文獻與專家們提到的主管行為是否對員工工作熱情有正向的影響。 本研究問卷共蒐集到259個有效樣本,來自六家電子資訊業與兩家金融業,受測者皆為在職超過六個月以上的正職員工。本研究以階層迴歸分析確認主管行為變項與員工工作熱情變項間的關係,結果發現主管行為的「積極的指導與關懷」對和諧式熱情有正向影響;另外,主管行為的「以員工為中心的激勵」對和諧式熱情與強迫式熱情皆有正向的影響。 / Work passion can have noticeable beneficial effects on both employees and employers. Therefore, raising the employee’s passion for work is one of the key points which enterprises need to concern. There are some researches indicate that the behaviors of direct supervisors can impact on work passion of employee but the relationship remains unexplained. Here we’d like to investigate that from supervisor’s perspective, what kind of behavior from managers can enhance the work passion of employee. In the first part of this research, we have gone through reviews from both references and interviews of 5 managers from industry to conclude the specific behaviors which influence the work passion. Then we have induced a questionnaire according to the factors. Later, we have measured quantitatively from the survey and we have verified the relationships between supervisor’s behavior and employee’s work passion. We have collected 259 effective samples from 8 companies including IT, electronics, and financial industries. The subjects need to be a full-time employee for at least 6 months. This research takes hierarchical regressions to analyze the relationships between supervisors’ behaviors and employee’s work passion, and we found the “aggressive instruction and care” have productive influence on the harmonious passion. Besides, “employee-oriented encourage” also have affirmative effect on both harmonious passion and obsessive passion of workers.

Tūkstantmečio vystymosi tikslai tai viso pasaulio valstybių indėlis, sprendžiant visuotines problemas ir užtikrinant kiekvienos šalies gyventojų gyvenimo sąlygas atsižvelgiant į aplinkos tausojimą bei darnaus vystymosi užtikrinimą. Šio darbo tikslas ir yra išanalizuoti bei įvertinti aplinkosauginių Tūkstantmečio vystymosi tikslų įgyvendinimą Lietuvoje 1990-2008 metų laikotarpius. Siekiant įvertinti gyventojų nuostatas bei požiūrį Tūkstantmečio vystymosi tikslų atžvilgiu, buvo atliekama gyventojų apklausa, sudaryto klausimyno pagalba. Kiekvienos valstybės padėtį, įgyvendinant Tūkstantmečio vystymosi tikslus nusako numatytų rodiklių įgyvendinimo lygis. Lietuvoje, siekiant užtikrinti darnią aplinkos apsaugą yra stebimi šie rodikliai: miškingos ir saugomų teritorijų dalis, biologinės įvairovės ir rūšių, kurioms gresia išnykimas išsaugojimas, anglies dioksido dujų ir ozono pirmtakų emisija bei bendras vandens išteklių suvartojimas šalyje. Atskaitos taškas, nuo kada stebimas rodiklių kitimas yra 1990 metai, o numatyti tikslai turi būti pasiekti, pagal Tūkstantmečio deklaraciją, iki 2015 metų. Vykdant gyventojų apklausą buvo nustatyta, jog didžioji dauguma, 74 % apklaustųjų, nėra girdėję apie Tūkstantmečio vystymosi tikslus. 26 % respondentų, kurie žino, apie šiuos pasaulinius tikslus yra įgiję universitetinį išsilavinimą (67 %). [toliau žr. visą tekstą] / Millennium development goals – all world countries input in solving universal problems and assuring living conditions for every country‘s citizens, also considering environment and sustainable development aspects. The aim of this work is to analyse and evaluate the implementation of environmental Millennium development goals in Lithuania during 1990-2008. In order to evaluate people attitudes in regard to Millennium development goals, population survey was conducted, with the help of questionnaire. Implementation level of foreseen indicators indicates every country’s progress in implementing Millennium development goals. In Lithuania, pursuing to assure sustainable environment protection, such indicators are observed: parts of forested and protected territories, protection of biological diversity and species, which are at risk of extinction, emission of carbon dioxide and ozone prosecutors and general water consumption in the country. Year 1990 is a starting point. According to Millennium declaration, the intended aims must be reached up to 2015. Survey reveals that the majority – 74 % of respondents have not heard about Millennium development goals. 26 % of respondents, who are aware of those global aims, hold a university degree (67 %). Explaining mining company and community relations in Paracatu, Brazil: Situational context and company practice

Mineral projects in the global South have been subjected to increasing opposition, especially from adjacent communities, ultimately forcing some firms to abandon government-permitted and financially viable projects. Consequently, the mining literature has become saturated with prescriptions for firms seeking to engage with impacted communities. This literature is limited in that: it has primarily focused on conflict-ridden situations; the role of context has been largely ignored; and there has been little validation of what works and why. This thesis responds to these limitations through an assessment of the Canadian firm Kinross Gold at Paracatu, Brazil, where company-community relations have seemingly been healthy for years. Kinross has exerted considerable effort to engage with the community through several initiatives. While not all initiatives have been effective, community relations are strong, especially when compared to other foreign-owned mines in Latin America. However, Paracatu also boasts a diversified economy, and positive population and governance characteristics. This research shows that both context and company practice are important in determining company-community relations.

Studien syftade till att undersöka anledningar till att tjänstepersonal utan extra övertidsersättning arbetar övertid inom rekryterings- och bemanningsbranschen. Prediktorerna arbetskrav, arbetets plats i ens liv, inre och yttre arbetsmotivation samt harmonisk och manisk passion för arbetet undersöktes mot utfallsvariabeln övertidstimmar. Studien genomfördes som en enkät som skickades ut digitalt genom Google Forms till 16 bemannings- och rekryteringsföretag. QPS Nordic behandlade frågor om arbetskrav, arbetets plats i ens liv samt inre och yttre arbetsmotiv medan PTWS behandlade frågor om harmonisk och manisk passion för arbetet. Resultatet visade att arbetskrav predicerade arbetade övertidstimmar. Korrelationen var positiv vilket innebar att arbetskrav ökade med andelen övertid. Ingen skillnad observerades i övriga prediktorer. Studiens slutsats var att det var arbetskrav som fick tjänstepersonal inom rekryterings- och bemanningsbranschen att arbeta övertid, vilket arbetsgivare bör vara uppmärksamma på i och med de hälsokonsekvenser som kan vara till följd av övertidsarbete. / The study aimed to investigate reasons to work overtime among employees without overtime compensation in the staffing and recruitment industry depending on work demands, the place of work in one’s life, internal and external working motivation and harmonious and obsessive passion toward work. The study was conducted as a digital survey sent to 16 companies. QPS Nordic measured work demands, the place of work in one’s life and internal and external working motivation. PTWS measured harmonious and obsessive passion toward work. The present study showed that work demands predicted overtime hours. No difference was observed in the other predictors. The conclusion of the study was that work demands made employees in the staffing and recruitment industry work overtime hours and that employers should pay attention to this regarding the health implications resulting from working overtime.

Passion och ångest bland idrottare: en undersökning i samband med träning- och tävlingssituation / Passion and anxiety among athletes: an investigation prior to practise and competetive situations

Syftet med den aktuella studien var att undersöka hur variablerna passion och ångest förhåller sig till varandra samt undersöka om situationen idrottare befinner sig i (träning eller match) har betydelse för dessa samband. I studien deltog 112 idrottare i åldrarna 15–34 år (M=20.2, SD=4.3) från tio olika idrottsföreningar i Halland. Deltagarna mättes en gång inför träning och en gång inför match. Resultatet visade att det förelåg ett negativt signifikant samband mellan harmonisk passion och ångest inför träning (r = -.19, p <.05) och match (r = -.32, p <.01) samt att det inte förelåg ett positivt signifikant samband mellan tvångsmässig passion och ångest inför träning (r = .16, p >.05) och match (r = .07, p >.05). Resultatet visade även att situationen hade en signifikant effekt på deltagarnas upplevda ångest (p <.01). Vidare visade resultatet att det fanns en signifikant skillnad i upplevd ångest mellan de två formerna av passion (p <.01). Däremot förelåg det ingen signifikant interaktionseffekt mellan de två olika formerna av passion och de två olika situationerna i upplevd ångest (p >.05). Baserat på studiens resultat, framhävs vikten av en harmonisk passion då denna verkar vara en mer hälsosam väg till idrottslig prestation. / The purpose of this study was to investigate how the variables passion and anxiety relate to each other, as well as investigate if the type of situation athletes are exposed to (practice vs. game) is of significance for this relation. In the study, 112 athletes between 15-34 years of age (M=20.2, SD=4.3) from ten different sports associations in Halland participated. The participants were measured once right before a practice and once right before a game. The results showed that there was a negative significant correlation between harmonious passion and anxiety prior to practice (r = -.19, p <.05) and game situation (r = -32, p <.01), but showed no positive significant correlation between obsessive passion and anxiety prior to practice (r = .16, p >.05) and game situation (r = .07, p >.05). Furthermore, the results showed that the type of situation had a significant effect on the level of anxiety among the participants (p <.01). The results also showed that there was a significant difference in levels of anxiety depending on the type of passion (p <.01). However, there appeared to be no significant interaction effect between the two groups of passion and the level of anxiety depending on the situation (p >.05). Based on the results of the study, a harmonious passion is desirable, since this seems to be a healthier road toward athletic performance.
