Mellanchefer som utvecklar : om förutsättningar för hållbart utvecklingsarbete inom vård och omsorg

Larsson, Kjerstin January 2008 (has links)

/
The aim of the dissertation is to describe, analyse and discuss those organisational and interorganisational conditions which are of importance for the enablement of middle managers to drive sustainable development in activity areas. The intention is to study the interplay between organisational and inter-organisational conditions coupled to the change competence of the middle managers. The research has been carried out within the framework of an extensive national R&D project within healthcare and caring. The aim of the project was to work with a sustainable development effort which had as its foundation a broad

participation between employees and management.

The study is a qualitative study with an interactive type of approach, which implies an ambition to carry out research with those affected within the framework of a joint knowledge gathering. The interactive research attempts to be of practical use, but the aim is primarily to contribute to theoretical development. The data collection methods which have been used are visits to the workplaces, interviews, “critical-incident” methods, reflective-PMs (within the framework of two education areas), analytical dialog and reflective seminars, informal conversations and feedback meetings. A number of common activities have been organised within the framework of the national project, which have also functioned as data collection and common analyses, as well as national conferences, steering group meetings etc.

The results of the dissertation show that middle managers within the healthcare and caring sector can have a strategic role in the development of this activity area. The intention of my research has not been to generalise the results in the traditional interpretation, but to reveal mechanisms and prerequisites for the middle managers in organising development efforts. The organisational conditions – in the form of economy, responsibility, authority, professionalisation and company culture – strongly affect the prerequisites of the middle manager for driving a development effort. My research demonstrates interesting opportunities for the middle managers concerning achieving a vertical and horizontal integration of the development effort. There are examples of how the middle managers have been able to influence and utilise these prerequisites in order to create room for action in the organisation for driving a development effort. They have availed themselves of goal orientation, created room for learning and reflection and have created an organisational culture that supports development. The inter-organisational prerequisitess – in the form of an external network, research support and collaboration of parties – has been important for the middle managers in their development efforts.

Jag vill ha matkassen hemkörd numera : En kvalitativ fallstudie om e-handelsmodeller inom dagligvaruhandeln

Jansson, Johan, Wetterdal, Erik January 2021 (has links)
Background: E-commerce for groceries is growing and growing in Sweden and pure ecommerce companies are constantly entering the market. This study is based on Ica, which for a long time has been successful in the physical market through decentralization and the Ica-idea with individual retailers incollaboration and physical stores. To meet the new type of consumer behavior and competition Ica has developed a number of e-commerce solutions. Including the phenomenon of dark stores that indicates a new type of centralization within the group. Purpose: The purpose of this study is to analyze the experienced opportunities and limitations of a retailer-owned franchise organization in the Swedish grocery trade in its development work of e-commerce. A further purpose is to shed light on the interviewees reasoning about whether dark stores are a sustainable solution from a competitive and relational perspective. Method: In this study, a qualitative research strategy is applied in a case study design. The empirical data is generated through semi-structured interviews with managers and retailers from Ica stores in the Stockholm region and the ecommerce manager for Ica Sweden. The empirical data has then been codedand divided into four themes with associated subcategories. Literaturestudy: For the essay a literature study presenting theories and previous research on centralization and decentralization, vertical and horizontal integration, click-and-mortar, omni channels and competition was made. Afterwards it´s used as a basis for the theoretical comparison in the analysis part. Conclusion: Due to the ownership structure, the case organization is facing some unique conditions. Example, the decentralized power promotes quickness and opportunities for local adaptations, but also that a pure e-commerce modelwould be problematic. One solution the head office has developed is a dark stores service that the stores can use, which gives them access to a larger geographic market and leads to higher internal competition between thestores.

Comparative case study analysis of adaptive groundwater governance and management regimes: Exploring ecosystem services in South Africa, Spain and Germany

Knüppe, Kathrin 22 October 2012 (has links)
Our daily lives depend on the provision of services by different ecosystems in which an important contribution is made by groundwater. To balance competing demands placed on groundwater for socioeconomic and ecological benefits constitute major challenges for water managers. At the policy-science interface the ecosystem service concept represents an appropriate approach to communicate management challenges in which researchers and politicians must take into account human and biophysical characteristics as intertwined systems. This study investigated the complexity of groundwater governance, and linkages between management and corresponding effects on ecosystem services. Empirical insights were derived from case studies in South Africa, Spain and Germany. The analytical focus includes (a) the degree of vertical (multi-level) and horizontal (cross-sectoral) integration which frame crucial characteristics of an adaptive governance regime and (b) the role of formal and informal institutions governing groundwater. In doing so, an conceptual and analytical approach was applied, especially developed to support a systematic and consistent investigation of policy and management processes. Evidence highlights that higher degrees of integration: (i) opens up the political arena for environmental perspectives, (ii) increases the quality of management plans, (iii) accelerates the implementation of measurements, (iv) mitigates conflicts between different groundwater users, and (v) increases the awareness of various ecosystem services. Further the results indicate that having well-crafted institutions in place does not automatically indicate successful groundwater management in the sense of bringing about positive results for socioeconomic or ecological sustainability. This work made a significant contribution to interdisciplinary research in the field of groundwater governance and ecosystem service management that builds the foundations for improving the policy-science interface.

Škola, základ života - Soubor školských staveb v Ostravě na Černé louce / School, the Foundation of Life – a Complex of Educational Buildings in Ostrava, Cerna louka

Slavíková, Barbora January 2014 (has links)
The location of Černá louka is situated between the city-centre of Moravská Ostrava and an area of Slezská Ostrava next to the confluence of two rivers – Ostravice and Lučina. The development at the building site of Černá louka is a result from an international competition 2010, which winner was the project Culture Meadow from studio Maxwan. The main idea of the project is to concentrate cultural and educational buildings around a culture meadow. This design has been used as a default situation for the master´s thesis. The complex of schools is situated at the parcel of existing Miniuni-site between cultural cluster Černá louka and the residential quarter Nová Karolina. The volume of the school with its front-spaces reacts to the surrounding structures. In the middle of the complex arises a half-public open space, where are located the internal entrances. Because of the placing of the school next to the city-centre the multifunctional pitch is situated on the roof of the gym. The design of the school respects principles of the age differentiation just as the horizontal integration. That´s why the substance makes up a symbiosis of 5 parts - common space, gym, first and second level, gymnasium. These parts are connected together and at the same time enable to use individual parts separately. The building of kindergarten with its garden is separated from the school because of differential needs of the smallest children.

Individual Approaches in Rich Learning Situations Material-based Learning with Pinboards

Katzenbach, Michael 02 May 2012 (has links) (PDF)
Active Approaches provide chances for individual, comprehension-oriented learning and can facilitate the acquirement of general mathematical competencies. Using the example of pinboards, which were developed for different areas of the secondary level, workshop participants experience, discuss and further develop learning tasks, which can be used for free activities, for material based concept formation, for coping with heterogeneity, for intelligent exercises, as tool for the presentation of students’ work and as basis for games. The material also allows some continuous movements and can thus prepare an insightful usage of dynamic geometry programs. Central Part of the workshop is a work-sharing group work with learning tasks for grades 5 to 8. The workshop will close with a discussion of general aspects of material-based learning.

Využití logistiky ve výrobním podniku / The use of logistics in a manufacturing company

BODLÁKOVÁ, Alena January 2012 (has links)
The graduation thesis deals with the use of logistics in the brewery Pivovar Protivín a. s. The paper presents a view of the current situation of Czech breweries in the Czech Republic as well as in the world. It maps the trends of recent years in the brewing industry and shows how Czech breweries have faced up the economic crisis. The results of Pivovar Protivín are presented and compared with the results of Svijany brewery. The distribution of Protivín brewery products is analyzed. Based on the analysis, the time frame of beer delivery to customers is made. Further on, the questions of the packaging management in Protivín brewery are dealt with. Breweries are specific for complex and expensive reverse logistics of returnable packaging. The question whether producing beer in PET bottles would be appropriate for Protivín brewery is studied. Determining the level of services provided for brewery customers is examined. According to the results presented here, the greatest demands on services provided by breweries appeared to be those by the customers in gastronomy sphere. Based on the questionnaire investigation, the standards in providing brewing services were set together. Finally, I suggested possible improvements that should lead to cost savings, greater flexibility of operations and competitive advantages for the Protivín brewery as well as for the whole K Brewery Group.
