I denna studie problematiseras manlighet, klass och makt hos pojkar i Fritiof Nilsson Piratens debutroman Bombi Bitt och jag. Genom att analysera de olika uttryck för manlighet som finns i romanen så undersöks hur pojkarna i romanen väljer att konstruera sin egen manlighet och hur deras vuxenblivande ser ut. Huvudkaraktärernas manlighet analyseras utifrån deras relationer till de andra karaktärerna, till varandra och utifrån deras klasstillhörighet.

They are all written by Swedish authors and taking place in Stockholm in the early years of 2000. I am doing a critical reading against the roles of “heteronormativitet” as the word is described by Tiina Rosenberg and Fanny Ambjörnsson trying to see how the characters are following or breaking these roles. The books are also read comparative to each other. I am doing what I call a “väninneläsning” where the female friends are being the narrative engine in the story, helping the main character to construct a new and stronger subjective self. My conclusions by this reading are that the friendship is opening up for a change of the roles of relation(ships) between women and man. It creates a possibility of a life were the women can choose to live in a “vänskapsfamilj”, a friendship family. The power of choice gives her a new strength in demanding equal rights compared to the man.</p>

By using contemorary work-theory this thesis aim to show how Yarden. En berättelse, puts into play the circumstances of precarian work, circumstances that have gender political as well as identity political overtones. It tries to show how the idea of ”class-jouney” is used as a conciliatory element. An element that, acitvitated increasingly towards the end of the text, is significant for the selfs posisiton in relationship to his class identity and the workers collective around him as well as other spheres. It is also significant in relationship to the work which is the writing, and to the product of that work, which is both Yarden and the litterary persona produced by Yarden. This is something that I try to trace to a conflict between class belonging and other identitory political projects that Yarden expresses. The reality which is produced by the text is not only a staging of a litterary persona and the following class-journey. In my thesis I try to show that it is also possible to read it in it self as something that gives us valuable insights on how reality is produced under the circumstances of precarity. Insights that in turn can show us both how the supression of labour is organised in contemporary late-capitalism, and what expressions resistance in turn might take.

Följande studie handlar om Torsten Nilssons verk Crucifigatur, ett avantgardistiskt musikstycke för orgel komponerat 1968. Det ingår i en svit om sju stycken, kallade ”improvisationer”. Här möts organisten av en varierad notbild ömsom grafiskt ömsom traditionellt noterad. I studien beskriver jag min strategi för att lära mig verket, som innefattar både teoretiska studier samt lektioner och inspelningsanalys, och reflekterar över resultatet. Det ligger i styckets natur att det blir lika många tolkningar som organister, och det finns inga sanningar exakt hur det skall utföras. Ofta finns flera tänkbara och bra lösningar. Jag har i denna studie presenterat mina tankar och förslag på hur stycket kan utformas och instuderas, grundat på efterforskningar, notanalys och samtal med min lärare Nils Larsson. Den musikhistoriska kontexten har även getts stort utrymme. För den som är nyfiken på musiken, tiden eller stycket specifikt hoppas jag denna uppsats kan ge nya perspektiv och infallsvinklar.

Nous présentons une approche alternative aux diagonalisations exactes de calculs en modèles en couches pour l'étude microscopique de la structure nucléaire. Nous avons tout d'abord minimisé l'énergie totale du système par la résolution des équations Hartree-Fock dans la base définie par l'espace de valence du modèle en couches. Nous avons finalisé la mise au point de ce programme par comparaison des résultats avec les solutions de problèmes solubles analytiquement comme ceux d'un hamiltonien SU(3) ou par comparaison avec des diagonalisations exactes du modèle en couches. Ensuite, nous avons mis au point des procédures pour l'obtention de ces mêmes calculs avec contraintes pour une description complète de la surface d'énergie potentielle d'un noyau donné en fonction des degrés de liberté Q20 et Q22. La restauration du moment angulaire par méthode de projections a permis d'obtenir les spectres des noyaux rotationnels dans le cas axial et dans le cas triaxial. Enfin, la méthode des coordonnées génératrices a permis le mélange de ces déterminants de Slater non orthogonaux. Parmi les différentes applications, nous avons pu décrire les noyaux déformés le long de la ligne N=Z autour du80Zr ou un nouvel îlot d'inversion à N=50. / We present an alternative approach to shell diagonalizations for microscopic description of nuclear structure. First we minimized the total system energy solving the Hartree-Fock equations within the shell model valence space. The results are compared with exact shell model diagonalization and an exact soluble SU(3) hamiltonian. Then, we developed procedures to obtain the same of type calculations with constrained conditions on the quadrupole degrees of freedom to obtain the full potential energy surfaces. The angular momentum restauration was obtained through projection method to generate rotionnal spectra of nuclei in both axial and triaxial cases. Finally the generate coordinate method was applied to mix several of these non-orthogonal Slater determinants. Among several applications we managed to describe deformed nuclei along the N=Z line around 80Zr or a new island of deformation at N=50. Finally, a first application in the superheavy region predicts a spherical gap for the Z=114, N=184 isotope

This study discusses how cultural and social aspects of contemporary Swedish society impact the musical arts. It contains biographical information on representative Swedish composers, and analyzes technical and structural elements of their compositional styles. Finally, it recommends performance practice considerations regarding technical and interpretive details in Tommy Zwedberg's Face the Music for trumpet and prepared audio tape, Folke Habe's Shazam for unaccompanied trumpet, and Bo Nilsson's Infrastruktur for brass quintet.

Throughout history men and women have not always been given the same opportunities to work. As a result of prevailing politics and norms, women have been relegated to household chores. To portray women and the working-class in the same picture can therefore be contradictory - how do you portray the working-class through those who do not work? The aim of this study is to explore, with help from Panofsky’s iconology as a method for image analysis, how women from the working-class are being portrayed in art. The study is focused on artworks made by a group of Swedish artists active during the first half of the 20th century. The group’s main motifs were the working-class and social injustices, and they used their art as a form of activism against the ongoing world war, capitalism and patriarchy. Common for the portraits of women by all of the artists is that they portray women as housewives and mothers. Explanations for this are searched, and found, in Ulla-Britt Tillman’s theory about women as a motif in working-class art and Laura Mulvey’s Male gaze theory.

Jag fascineras av produktion och hur vi bemästrar tekniker för att skapa vår omgivning. Vi implementerar vetenskap på material och kallar det ingenjörskonst. I mitt examensarbete utgår jag från materialet trä, som är levande och varmt, och genom traditionell böjträteknik formar jag det. Jag fördjupar mig i tekniken genom studiebesök, egna experiment samt teori.Men detta är också design, jag skapar åt användaren. Många av mina timmar går åt att undersöka, utforska och leta form och funktion. Samtidigt erbjuder materialet, vänligt men bestämt, begränsningar som jag frestas tänja på, vilket tydliggör det levande i materialet.Resultatet blir både ett fördjupat förhållningssätt till design samt prototyper av pallar och stolar. Dessa består av komponenter böjda i två dimensioner, men på grund av dess rombformade tvärsnitt uppstår en mer komplex och tredimensionell yta i böjarna. Min ambition har varit att förena estetiken i det industriellt konstruktiva samt i det organsikt växande i naturen. Möblerna gestaltar tid och rum genom sina linjer och former på ett viktigt och berättigat sätt. / I am fascinated by production and how to master the techniques to create our surroundings. We implement science on materials and call it engineering. In my thesis I’ve worked with wood, which is alive and warm, and through the traditional bent wood technique shape it. I deepen my knowledge in the technique through field trips, experiments and theory.But this is also the design, I create for the user. Many of my hours are spent investigating, exploring and searching for form and function. At the same time the material wood is offering, politely but firmly, limitations that I’m tempted to stretch. The result of my thesis is both an in-depth approach to design and prototypes of stools and chairs. These components are bent in two dimensions, but because of its diamond-shaped cross section, a more complex three-dimensional surface of the bends appear. My aim has been to combine the aesthetics of industry and the aesthetics the organicly grown in nature. These pieces portray time and space through their lines and shapes in an important and legitimate means.
