Galių santykiai ir jų valdymas psichopedagoginio vertinimo procese / Power relations and it’s management in psychopedagogical assesment process

Darbe atlikta teorinė galių santykių kaip socialinės pedagogikos objekto pedagoginio psichologinio vertinimo kontekste analizė Iškelta hipotezė, kad psichopedagoginio vertinimo procese vyraujantys galių santykiai yra nelygiaverčiai, kur priimant sprendimus dominuoja specialistų pozicija, o tėvai lieka tik jų vykdytojai. Tyrime, kurio tikslas- atskleisti ugdymo dalyvių (PPT, mokyklų specialistų, tėvų,) galių santykių ypatumus, psichopedagoginiame vertinimo procese bei socialinio pedagogo vaidmenį galių santykių valdyme, duomenys buvo renkami naudojantis pusiau struktūruotu kokybiniu interviu ir struktūruota kiekybine apklausa (anketa). Kokybiniai duomenys buvo apdoroti taikant aprašomosios analizės metodą, o kiekybiniai – naudojant neparametrinį Kruskal-Wallis testą bei aprašomąją statistiką (procentus) . Tyrime dalyvavo PPT specialistai, vidurinių, pagrindinių bei pradinių mokyklų specialistai, pedagogai ir tėvai iš visos Lietuvos. Empirinėje dalyje nagrinėjami galių santykiai psichopedagoginiame vertinimo procese Svarbiausios empirinio tyrimo išvados: 1. Galių santykiai visuomet egzistuoja tarpasmeniniuose santykiuose ir žalingi tampa, kai yra nelygiaverčiai. Tokia situacija išryškėja psichopedagoginiame vaiko vertinime, kur vyrauja specialisto-kliento santykių tipas. 2. [toliau žr. visą tekstą] / The paper deals with the theoretical analysis of the power relations as an object of the social pedagogic in the context of psychopedagogical assessment. Hypothesis: power relations in the process of psychopedagogical assessment are unequal where the position of specialist is described as prevailing and parents remain passive hand of decision realization. The purpose of the paper is to reveal peculiarities of power relations in process of psychopedagogical assessment from positions of education participants (parents, school specialists and psychological pedagogical service (PPS) specialists) and also to define the role of social pedagogue as a power relation’s manager in this process. Data was collected by using semi structured qualitative interview and structured quantitative inquiry (questionnaire). Qualitative data were worked up by structured content analysis and described by using narrative research method. Quantitative data were worked up by using non-parameter Kruskal-Wallis test and descriptive statistics (percents). The participants of research were specialists from pedagogical psychological service (N= 171), specialists and pedagogues from mainstream schools (N=429) and parents from all Lithuania whose children were clients of PPS and went through psychopedagogical assessment (N=109). Experiences of gender and power relations among a group of black women holding leadership positions: a case study of six government departments in the Western Cape

<p>In this study, I explored the experiences of gender and power relations among a group of black women holding leadership positions in six government departments in the Western Cape. South Africa is in a process of transition and, to create a departure from the past, key objectives focus around the transformation of gender disparities and the eradication of racism and other forms of inequality and discrimination in all spheres of this society. There are many methods utilized to increase the number of women in leadership positions in the private and public sectors. However, there is a lack of research regarding the social environment for women once they have entered into these structures (Angevine, 2006). This study made use of a feminist qualitative methodology which guided the research. Six semi-structured, open-ended interviews were conducted in order to carry out an in-depth exploration of participants&rsquo / experiences. After the participants had given consent, the interviews were audio-recorded, then transcribed verbatim. Data was analyzed in accordance with qualitative thematic analysis. All standard ethical considerations to protect the participants and the researcher were taken into account and practised throughout the research. The findings show evidence that black African women leaders in government departments have internalized learnt subservient characteristics / and that this serves to undermine their authority as leaders. Specifically, larger social power relations and traditional forms of authority undermine their capacity to express authority in work environments. They also experience both subtle and blatant racist and sexist prejudice in the form of stereotypes and hostility in the workplace. A minority of women managers actively oppose the gendered notions that undermine their leadership. Ultimately, black African women managers are not accepted or supported as legitimate leaders in the workplace. Women leaders are perceived to be incapable of performing effectively as leaders because of gender and racial stereotypes that serve as hindrances to their expression of leadership. The study found that some participants conform to the socially constructed notion of maintaining a work-life balance and this poses a challenge for such leaders. Those who are married attempt to balance career and life by maximizing on their management of their time. A number of women had made the personal decision to remain single in order to focus explicitly on their careers.</p>

Syftet med denna essä är att undersöka frågor kopplade till samlingens roll på förskolan och det dilemma som pedagoger ställs inför då barn inte vill delta. Det undersökningsmaterial som essän utgår från är en självupplevd samlingssituation, skriven som en berättelse. Denna situation är komplex och väcker många frågor. Essäns huvudfråga är: Hur kan man som pedagog förhålla sig till när barn inte vill delta i samlingen? I denna text kan man läsa om samlingens roll i förskolan, både ur ett historiskt och ett pedagogiskt perspektiv. Hur kommer det sig att samlingen har blivit ett sådant självklart inslag i förskolans verksamhet? Ett tema i texten är makt samt hur maktrelationen ser ut mellan pedagog och barn. Essän utforskar även vilka möjligheter barnen ges till inflytande i samlingen, samt hur man som pedagog kan arbeta mer inkluderande. Essän behandlar även frågor kring normer och etik. Michel Foucault, Jesper Juul, Jan-Olav Henriksen och Arne Johan Vetlesen är några av de personer som essän inspirerats av i de teoretiska utgångspunkterna.

Neste contexto, sob o prisma dos resquícios históricos das desigualdades de direitos, o presente estudo tem por objetivo analisar comentários publicados em blogs que tratam de assuntos de sexualidade e gênero, buscando investigar subjetividades acerca dos papéis sociais que permeiam as relações de gênero difundidas no ciberespaço, bem como as construções de significados socioculturais, visando compreender as percepções acerca das relações sociais rumo à construção de uma sociedade mais equânime entre homens e mulheres. Para compor o corpus da pesquisa foram analisados 61 comentários publicados em blogs populares delimitados pelo recorte das relações feminino-masculino, os quais tratam de significações relativas às representatividades sociais de gênero demarcadas pelas subjetividades fundadas que denotam os conceitos de diferença, igualdade, desigualdade e equidade. A partir do método de análise de conteúdo de Laurence Bardin, os dados digitais coletados foram organizados em quatro categorias: representação social, percepções das relações de gênero, motivações das desigualdades e perspectivas de equidade entre homens e mulheres. Os resultados desvelaram padrões sociais alicerçados numa perspectiva binária revelando sentimentos de insatisfação diante da imposição de modelos socioculturais de feminilidade e masculinidade. Pôde-se observar que as subjetividades carregam resquícios históricos fundados pelo patriarcado e pautados nas relações de poder. Descortinam-se sob o padrão heteronormativo subjetividades hegemônicas que exacerbam valores provenientes de ideologias que disseminam percepções definidas como verdades absolutas, compreendidas a partir das diferenças biológicas entre homens e mulheres. Entendendo o blog como recurso propiciador de ideários e das possibilidades que o ciberespaço oferece no tocante à propagação de saberes, esta pesquisa busca contribuir com possíveis transformações sociais. Com a produção do e-book intitulado “Blogs para a equidade de gênero: possibilidades em democratizar reflexões”, conduzido por uma linguagem objetiva e entusiasta é proposto a ampliação de reflexões no ciberespaço cuja intenção é provocar iniciativas que estimulem debates frutíferos para a desconstrução de hierarquizações e distinções baseadas e sedimentadas no sexo biológico. / Blogs as a contemporary phenomenon provide resources for registering expressions at will; presented ways of thinking can be known from textual discourses published in spaces reserved for comments. In this context, under the prism of the historical vestige of inequalities of rights, the present study has the object to analyze comments published on blogs dealing with sexuality and gender issues, seeking to investigate subjectivities about the social roles that permeate the gender relations propagated on cyberspace, as well as the constructions of sociocultural meanings, aiming to understand the perceptions about social relations towards the construction of a more equitable society between men and women. To compose the corpus of the research, 61 comments that were published in popular blogs were analyzed delimited by the cut of the female-male relations, which deal with meanings related to the social representations of gender demarcated by stablished subjectivities that denote the concepts of difference, equality, inequality and equity. From Laurence Bardin's method of content analysis, digital data collected were organized into four categories: social representation, perceptions of gender relations, motivations of inequalities and perspectives of equity between men and women. The results show social patterns grounded on a binary perspective revealing feelings of dissatisfaction against the imposition of sociocultural models of femininity and masculinity. It could be observed that subjectivities carry historical vestige founded by patriarchy and based on power relations. Under the heternormative pattern it is evidenced hegemonic subjectivities that exacerbate values derived from ideologies that disseminate perceptions defined as absolute truths, understood from the biological differences between men and women. Understanding the blog as a propitiator resource of ideas and the possibilities that cyberspace offers with regard to the propagation of knowledge, this research seeks to contribute with possible social transformations.With the production of the e-book titled "Blogs for Gender Equity: possibilities in democratizing reflections", conducted by an objective and enthusiastic language, it is proposed the magnification of reflections in cyberspace in which intention is to provoke initiatives that stimulate fruitful debates for the deconstruction of hierarchy and distinctions based and sedimented on the biological sex.

Ghana : from fragility to resilience? : understanding the formation of a new political settlement from a critical political economy perspective

During the late 1970s Ghana was described as a collapsed and failed state. In contrast, today it is hailed internationally as beacon of democracy and stability in West Africa. In light of Ghana’s drastic image change from a fragile and even collapsed polity to a resilient state, this thesis contributes to the statebuilding debate by analysing the social change that occurred. Grounded in a critical theory approach the thesis applies a political settlement analysis to explore how power is distributed and changed over time between contending social groups; exploring the extent to which this is embedded in formal and informal institutional arrangements. Ghana’s 2012 elections serve as an empirical basis and lens to observe the country’s current settlement. This approach enables a fine grained within-case comparison with Ghana’s collapsed post-independent settlement. The analysis illustrates that while there has been no transformation of the Ghanaian state, however, continuous incremental structural change has occurred within it, as demonstrated by a structurally altered constellation of power. While internationally propagated (neo-)liberal economic and political reforms had a vital impact on the reconstruction process of state-society relations, Ghana’s labelling as “success story” evokes the distorted idea of a resilient liberal state. The sustainability of Ghana’s current settlement characterised by electoral competitive clientelism depends on a continued inflow of foreign capital. So far the mutually beneficial interest of portraying Ghana as a resilient state by its elites and donors ensures the flow of needed financial assistance to preserve the settlement.

Vilket kön har din chef? : En intervjustudie om medarbetares uppfattning kring kvinnligt och manligt ledarskap

På arbetsmarknaden befinner sig både kvinnor och män i ledande positioner, men mannen är normen för ledarskapet. Därför var det intressant att se hur detta påverkar ledarskapet. Mycket forskning har redan tagit upp ledarskap ur ledarens perspektiv vilket inte denna rapport gör. Syftet med det här arbetet har istället varit att skapa en förståelse för medarbetarnas uppfattning om deras senaste chefers ledarskap utifrån chefernas kön. Detta gjordes genom en intervjustudie där sex personer i olika ålder, kön och utbildningsbakgrund, ställde upp på semi-strukturerade intervjuer. Den gemensamma faktorn var att de alla arbetade inom privat sektor. Syftet kunde besvaras med hjälp av tre frågeställningar: ”Hur upplever medarbetarna att de blir behandlade av kvinnliga respektive manliga chefer?”, ”Upplever medarbetarna att kvinnliga och manliga chefer har olika typer av ledarskap?” och ”Hur ser förutsättningarna för kvinnor och män i chefspositioner ut, enligt medarbetarnas uppfattning?” För att analysera det empiriska materialet användes en tematisk analys och det teoretiska ramverket: en kombination av en könsteori – Hirdmans teori om könssystem och stereotyper – och ledarskapsstilar – transformativt ledarskap, kvinnligt och manligt ledarskap och Bergengrens teori om maktstrategier. Dessutom vävdes tidigare forskning in i analysen för att ge ytterligare ett djup. Resultatet visade att det fanns en skillnad gällande egenskaper, men att respondenter ändå beskrev sina egna chefer med icke-könsstereotypa attribut. Trots det uttryckte vissa av respondenterna att de föredrog en kvinnlig chef. Vidare kunde en tydlig skillnad ses gällande maktpositioner, där mannen visade sig ha ett mer hierarkiskt förhållningssätt än kvinnor. / At the workplace, both men and women have management positions, but male characteristics in leadership are still the norm. Therefore, it was interesting to see how the male norm affects the leadership. Previous studies have put much focus on the leader’s perspective, which this report will not do. The purpose of this report instead has been to create an understanding for employees’ view of their managers’ leadership styles in relation to the managers’ gender. This was done by using semi-structured interviews where six respondents of different ages, genders, and educational backgrounds, were interviewed. All respondents were working in the private sector, which was the common factor. To answer the proposed research topic, the following questions were posed: “How do the employees experience the treatment by female versus male managers?”, “Do the employees experience that women and men have different leadership styles?” and “How do the conditions in management positions look like for female versus male managers, according to the employees?” A thematic analysis was used to analyze the empirical data, as well as the theoretical framework: a combination of a gender theory – Hirdman’s theory about gender systems and stereotypes – and leadership styles – transformative leadership, female and male leadership and Bergengren’s theory about power strategies. The literature review was also used in the analysis to create a depth to it. The results showed that there was a difference regarding the managers’ characteristics, but the respondents still described their managers with none-stereotypical attributes. Despite that, some of the respondents preferred a female manager. Furthermore, there was a distinct difference in power positions, where the male had a more hierarchical behavior than female managers.

Para o filósofo, o poder se conjuga no plural e infiltra nos corpos. Foucault compreende o campo político como arena na qual forças empreendem um combate agônico. Nesse sentido, este trabalho pretende discutir o estatuto do corpo nos dispositivos. Se, como defendido por Foucault, necessariamente as relações de poder atravessam e se inscrevem nos corpos, propomos que a investigação deste processo pode elucidar a eficácia dos dispositivos e apontar modos de ultrapassá-los para, assim, instaurar novos dispositivos sustentados em outros jogos de verdade. Deste modo, considerar-se-á a dimensão corporal tanto no processo de inscrição e exercício político como no que concerne às possibilidades de questionar e resistir à dominação. Esta discussão aponta também para o lugar do corpo nas práticas de liberdade, a partir da tensão transfiguradora entre a corporeidade e a finitude. Caso esta leitura esteja correta, isto é, se a dimensão corpórea é fundamental para o investimento político e também para as ações de resistência, seria autorizado propor o corpo como campo de batalha ou, em outras palavras, o corpo como dispositivo, nossa hipótese principal. / Michel Foucault has produced an important shift in the political debate by getting rid of the imposing figure of the state as well as the idea of the primacy of economic relations in which relations of power would be a kind of effect or consequence. For the philosopher, the power is plural and infiltrates bodies. Foucault understands the political field as an arena in which forces undertake an agonizing combat. Therefore, this research will discuss the status of the body in the apparatus. If, as argued by Foucault, power relations necessarily go through and fall on the bodies, we propose that the investigation of this process may elucidate the effectiveness of the apparatus and point out ways to overcome them, thus introducing new apparatuses supported in other games of truth. This discussion also points to the place of the body in the practice of freedom, from the tension between the body and the finitude. If this reading is correct, ie, if the bodily dimension is fundamental to the political investment and also for the actions of resistance, would be authorized to propose the body as a battlefield or, in other words, the body as an apparatus, our hypothesis.

The research allows us to bring to the cientific academic environment a deep approach regarding the mechanisms of the disciplining power held by the studied organization over the staff and the regulation mechanisms over the same phenomenon "trainning practices", besides exploring the issue of both distiction and complementation. Was used a qualitative survey and a theoretical methodological proposition of the content analyses and the speech analyses based on an indicative and intentional sample, since the company belongs to the development and trading of human resources software. Three tools were used to gather data: a detailed interview, researcher observations and the document research. The analyses performed with the theory and the empirical data proved the existence of articulations and disarticulations within the mechanisms, confirmed by the trainning norm and the report of those interviewed. / Este trabalho tem como objetivo investigar na prática organizacional as articulações e desarticulações entre as práticas de treinamento, vistas como mecanismo que disciplina o indivíduo (normas e padronização de procedimentos de trabalho), e as diretrizes de práticas de treinamento, vistas como mecanismo de regulação (normas, padrões de conduta), das relações entre a organização e os funcionários. A pesquisa permite trazer para o ambiente acadêmico científico um aprofundamento quanto aos mecanismos de poder disciplinar exercidos pela organização estudada sobre os funcionários e os mecanismos de regulação sobre o mesmo fenômeno práticas de treinamento , além de explorar a questão da distinção e complementaridade entre ambos. Foi utilizada pesquisa qualitativa e uma proposta teóricometodológica de análise de conteúdo e análise de discurso, a partir de uma amostra indicativa e intencional, sendo a empresa do ramo de desenvolvimento e comércio de software de recursos humanos. Utilizou-se de três instrumentos para a coleta de dados: a entrevista em profundidade, observações do pesquisador e pesquisa documental. As análises feitas entre a teoria e os dados empíricos comprovaram a existência de articulações e desarticulações entre os mecanismos, além de outros achados, confirmados através da norma de treinamento e dos depoimentos dos entrevistados.

Esta tese se constitui como uma espécie de desconstrução da história tradicionalmente aceita pelos diferentes credos que utilizam o Antigo Testamento como fundamento de seu corpo doutrinal. Estabeleci as relações de poder, que se efetivaram entre os dois grupos sociais mais importantes dentro do contexto destacado, como meu objeto de pesquisa privilegiado. Por um lado tem-se o poder religioso, que sustentado por um projeto de caráter eminentemente político, subverteu a seu favor toda uma ordem natural na qual estavam alicerçadas, por outro lado, diferentes sociedades tribais. Nesse sentido o judaísmo se configurou como um sistema de crença que justificou e legitimou a classe sacerdotal jerusolimitana como classe dominante em toda a província de Judá. Manipulando os dados da tradição tribal a seu favor, a classe sacerdotal, não somente passou a dominar religiosamente as pessoas que habitavam a região da província de Judá, mas transformou os membros destas sociedades tribais em camponeses escravizados a um sistema de crença extremamente opressor. Segundo a tese de Marcel Gauchet, o judaísmo como ponto de partida da revelação judaico-cristã, se mostra, conforme o conceito weberiano de desencantamento do mundo , como início de um processo, onde a religião institucionalizada se tornou saída da religião . Processo esse, que teve seu clímax no período da modernidade e que nesse início de século XXI se vê num momento de transição quando passa a um novo período, isto é, à pós-modernidade: nesse sentido já se pode entrever seu ocaso.
