Project controlling is special approach of management which differs from usual producing process. Project is a special investment and it is necessary to plan, co-ordinate and judge the reality during all it's phases. Project is influenced by many factors which can change significantly the final project result. Controlling provides with forecasts based on information from people involved in project and provides management also with figures to make various decisions. Project controlling of development project control usualy cost budget, income budget, total project result, planned cashflow, optimal way of financing and various calculations. The most important calcuations is calculation of cost prices of flats by which selling prices are compared with. Then profit and margin on each flat is found out and how much effectively costs were alocated to each flat.

This thesis deals with importance of correct project scope definition. The first part of this thesis explains terms and basic theory related to project management, which is necessary for understanding of the second part. In the second part, real projects are analyzed and the most common project scope definition mistakes are examined. Those mistakes are described and explained with possible solutions. Thesis also contains suggestions, based on real projects, how to avoid these mistakes.

Den ökade digitaliseringen och den ständiga utvecklingen i omvärlden idag har bidragit till att företag och organisationer måste tillämpa passande organisationsformer för att förmå möta denna utveckling. Då projekt som arbetsform har som syfte att genomföra förändring eller förnyelse, har projekt blivit en allt vanligare tillämpad arbetsform. Den forskning som finns i dagsläget om projektledning är relativt övergripande och "allmän", och tar ingen direkt hänsyn till i vilken bransch projektet verkar i eller om projektet är internt eller externt. Denna studie, som är av kvalitativt slag, har således till avsikt att utforska framgångsfaktorer och utmaningar projektledare står inför inom två mer specifika branscher; banksektorn och IT-konsultbolag. Studiens syfte är att genomföra en jämförande fallstudie om en bankorganisation som arbetar i interna projekt och ett IT-konsultbolag som arbetar i externa projekt, där dessa framgångsfaktorer och utmaningar har utforskats och jämförts mot varandra, liksom mot redan befintlig teori. Det empiriska materialet har samlats in genom delvis strukturerade djupintervjuer med totalt sex projektledare, tre från respektive organisation. Resultatet har sedan analyserats och jämförts mot varandra, samt mot teori som har försökt bistå en förklaring till och förståelse för olika mönster i det empiriska materialet. Studiens resultat pekar på att det finns vissa skillnader, men även likheter,om utmaningar och framgångsfaktorer inom ramen för projektledning i de två valda branschernas natur, även i fråga om interna och externa projekt. Regelbunden och tydlig kommunikation alla parter emellan i ett projekt ses som en grundpelare för framgångsrik projektledning utifrån studiens resultat, och på samma sätt påvisades en framträdande utmaning om att få deltagarna att arbeta mot samma mål. En viktig skillnad om projektledning i interna och externa projekt som påvisats utifrån studiens resultat är att projektledaren har friare tyglar i interna projekt, där faktorer som tid och budget inte är lika strikta eller viktiga att förhålla sig till, utan kundens efterfråga är viktigare.

This diploma thesis contains the technological project of a pension K1 located in Kroměříž and is focused on construction as a whole, as well as on logistics of single work procedures and possible risks related to the construction itself.

I denna kvalitativa fallstudie presenteras projektet Rookie – en sportskola för nyanlända. Med anledning till att invandringen ökar i landet och alla de problem som finns med segregation är det intressant att en studie om idrott som integrationsarena genomförs. Studien ökar förståelsen för hur idrott kan fungera som en arena för integration. Idrotten bidrar med språkstimulering, förbättrad hälsa, gemenskap, fostran och ökad förståelse för samhällets uppbyggnad. Efter intervjuer med berörda i projektet framkom det att Rookie, som integrationsprojekt, skulle skapa bättre möjligheter för nyanlända barn och unga att delta i olika fritidsaktiviteter, vilket skapar förutsättningar för en god hälsa, ökad integration och motverka utanförskap. Detta uppnåddes genom att låta deltagarna prova på olika idrottsaktiviteter och få en nära kontakt med de fritidsledare som medverkade. Utöver att deltagarna blev mer integrerade som en effekt av Rookie lärde de sig även bättre svenska, fick nya vänner och började idrotta. I studien framkommer vilka arbetsmetoder som lämpar sig för ett framgångsrikt utfall av ett idrottsintegrationsprojekt, bland annat att arbeta med förebilder samt att kommunen äger och genomför projektet.

This paper aims to examine a profession´s experiences of participation in change and engagement in work. How do the employees experience their participation in organizational changes and if, and if so, how, they think it affects their engagement at work? Our questions we started from were these: -How does the employees experience that participation in a change affects their engagement at work? - Is this experience different from the employees who have not participated as much in a change? A qualitative study in the form of eight individual interviews have been conducted, half of employees who have been directly involved in the change-project and half by employees who have been indirectly involved in the change-project. This is to see if there were any difference in the experienced engagement, depending on whether they participated or not. The qualitative results indicated that the respondents felt that the engagement of the work was greater if they got the chance to participate. The results also revealed that the concepts are related to each other, they often go hand in hand, and often work in harmony with each other.

This thesis has been conducted inassociation with ÅF Infrastructure AB in Borlänge, Sweden. Within ÅF Infrastructure and other ÅF divisions it is common to make use of the geographically dispersed employees in virtual project teams. Some of the advantages from working in virtual teams are financial, due to the fact that a company can save money in recruiting costs, office rents and travel costs.Thanks to the technological progress since the start of the 1990’s the use of virtual teams is being considered a common way to cooperate nowadays. With the advantages though comes disadvantages, pitfalls and challenges to face for the virtual team toovercome.The purpose of this thesis was to conducta case study to find out how ÅF make use of virtual teams. With this in regard, the statement of issues for this bachelor thesis were the following: is the casestudy for this project affected by being geographically dispersed and how can the eventually negative consequences be fixed and improved, and how are the common virtual team pit falls and challenges handled and how can this make use in future projects? To answer these questions the decision was made to conduct a literature study, observation study and an interview study with the project members in the casestudy. During the literature study facts concerning the area of virtual teams and project management were gathered and made use of during the interview and observation study. The conclusion of this thesis was that the case study project isaffected by being geographically dispersed, but handles pit falls and challenges well in most cases. Some of the areas they can improve is first and farmost the meeting arrangements, where they are recommended to focus on effectiveness, preparations and include more videoconferencing. One of the approaches they can make use of in future projects are thekick off meeting, where they should focus on really make sure that every team member is aware of the projects goals, their own involvement and the scope of their assignment.

<p>Idag bedrivs en stor del av forskningen vid högskolor och universitet i projektform. Detta gäller inte minst inom teknik, naturvetenskap och medicin, men numer också inom samhällsvetenskap.Det är vanligt att olika personalkategorier så som exempelvis professorer,docenter, och doktorander ingår i projekten. Projektledaren är oftast den som har ansökt om projektmedlen, eller den person som är mest vetenskapligt meriterad vid avdelningen, vilket ofta är en professor eller docent med lång erfarenhet. Av de här personerna förväntar sig organisationen ofta underverk. De ska medverka i alla möjliga typer av aktiviteter, som exempelvis handledning av doktorander,undervisning, medverkande vid och organiserande av konferenser,ansökan om medel för nya projekt och vara avdelningens ansikte utåt. Dessutom ska de också agera projektledare för en eller flera parallella projekt.</p><p>I den här uppsatsen redovisar vi först en kartläggning av projektledarkompetens hos projektledare i forskningsprojekt vid Karlstads universitet. Kartläggningen har gjorts med stöd av två enkätundersökningar och sex stycken kompletterande intervjuer. Såväl professorer och docenter som doktorander har medverkat i studien. Kartläggningen visar klart och tydligt att de flesta projektledarna leder projekten baserat på tidigare erfarenheter och merparten saknar ledarskapsutbildning. Detta innebär att beprövade projektledningsmetoder och tekniker sällan används.</p><p>Baserat på resultat från enkätundersökningarna, intervjuerna och deltagande observationer presenterar vi dessutom fyra konkreta förbättringsåtgärder för forskningsprojekt vid Karlstads universitet. Åtgärderna tror vi kan effektivisera forskningsprojekten och därmed medföra en besparing för Karlstads universitet. Den första åtgärden är att utveckla en kurs i projektledningsmetodik, som sedan erbjuds till alla projektledare vid Karlstads universitet.Den andra åtgärden är att bygga upp en eller flera erfarenhetsnätverk bland aktiva projektledare. Den tredje åtgärden är att skapa ett mentorsprogram för stöd åt nya projektledare. Den fjärde och sista åtgärden är att etablera en grupp med erfarna projektledare som kan ge stöd åt andra projektledare.</p> / <p>Research at universities is today often conducted as projects. This is especially true in the engineering, natural science, medicine, and social science disciplines. Research projects are typically carried out by different categories of employers, such as professors, associate professors, assistant professors, and PhD students. These projects are typically managed by the person that applied for the project money, or the person that is the most experienced researcher at the department, which is often a professor or associate professor. From such leading persons, miracles are expected. Except acting as project managers, they are also engaged in many other parallel activities, e.g., supervision of PhD students, undergraduate and graduate education, conference organization and administration, project application writing, and representing the department internally as well as externally.</p><p>In this report, a survey of project management competence within research projects at Karlstad University is presented. Empirical data have been gathered through two questionnaires and six complementary interviews. Professors and associate professors as well as PhD students have participated in the study. The survey shows that the active project managers have learned to lead projects based on experience and very few project managers have a formal leadership education. This implies that long stablished project management methods and tools are seldom used.</p><p>Based on the outcome from the survey and our own observations, four concrete activities to improve project management skills are proposed in the report. The first activity is to provide a suitable and well-balanced course in project management methods that is offered to both active and future project managers. The second activity is to establish experience networks among active project mangers at Karlstad University. The third activity is to create a mentor program for new project managers. The fourth activity is to establish a group of experienced project managers that can assist in and give support to ongoing and planned projects.</p>

The implementation of a new framework can have a large impact on the companies due to the effects on the financial ratios. This despite the fact that the change in the accounting framework doesn't always result in any significant changes in the company's financial position. Since financial ratios are one of the primary ways to evaluate a company this becomes slightly problematic. Since 2014-01-01 the regulatory framework "K3" has been mandatory for larger companies in Sweden. The implementation of K3 has resulted in some essential differences in the depreciation of fixed assets, which could affect real estate companies extensively. The purpose of this study is to find out how the implementation of K3 has affected the result and the financial position in real estate companies. Some of the conclusions this study was able to draw is that K3 has had both positive, zero and negative effect on the real estate companies included in the selection. Many of the effects are directly related to the different way of dealing with the depreciation of fixed assets.
