Previous issue date: 2011-09-27 / This thesis has the main objective the identification and analysis of social representations
of the indigenous in the media, especially in the print media, based on a conflict situation.
In order to corroborate this presented thesis, communicative acts (considered as
potentially communicative situations) generated by the media and validated like
communication agreements which imposes indigenous representation, differentiation that
translates into a favorable position in the internal group non indigenous compared to the
exogenous group (indigenous). Two studies were realized attending specific objectives:
The first study analysis sought to identify the social actors involved in the conflict by
demarcation and evacuation area in Indian Reservation Raposa Serra do Sol as well as
categories of analysis that provide informational support for the news construction
reported by the newspaper Folha de S. Paulo. The second analysis sought to identify,
analyze and demonstrate a particular methodological perspective applied to the field of
studies about prejudice and especially the study of social representations involved in it,
the three levels of analysis that operate this perspective. At the first level ocurred in order
to identificate common field (consensual field) of the social representations, in the second
level, the identification the position of the individuals (or groups) between the common
fields, and in the third, the understanding of the positions identified through their
anchorage. The second study aims to identify and analyze how the subjects did not see
the native indigenous in the context of intergroup relations, and particularly how this
relationship occurs in the context of the demarcation process and removal of Raposa
Serra do Sol It is also the objective of this study to identify the centrality of social
representations, which most likely indicate the core of these representations. The results
show that, unlike other studies in the area, the prejudice against Indians is expressed in an
institutionalized way, and the invisibility and silence characterizes us in the print media.
Intergroup relations, the Indian is considered to belong to a different culture, close to
nature, hunting, fishing and makes handicrafts, indicating that this place is in the native
forest. Ultimately, the results of studies undertaken indicate that he is considered to some
extent, not a citizen or people.

No primeiro nível ocorreu a
Raposa Serra do Sol.

Previous issue date: 2007-03-12 / The Brazilian air transportation, also known as commercial air transportation, has
been object of remarkable changes in the past 30 years. One of the main points of
these changes results from the introduction of new technologies in the aircrafts
cockpits, resumed after its automation in the expression glasscockpit . These
technologies represent substantial changes on the pilot activity. The actual study
focused on the research of the pilot social representation, trying to identify the
probable effect of new technologies on the representation that pilots elaborate about
their professional activity. It was used as a starting point for the carrying out of this
project the Theory of Social Representations. To carry out this project, 216 subjects,
pilots, divided in three categories by a time variable, a group was compiled by
youths with less than ten years of activity; other pilots, developing the activity
between 10 and 20 years and, finally, professionals with more than 20 years in
activity, they participate of an empirical research. The social representation of the
pilot, the professional experiences and the aviation changes perception were the axis
investigated. The results allow us to suppose that general changes due to the using of
new technologies are positive, that the subjects worries seem to judge other changes
and that less experienced pilots offer excessive confidence to technology as safety
manager.
Estas
tecnologias representam mudanças substanciais na atividade do piloto. O presente
A representação social do

Previous issue date: 2011-05-17 / In order to provide a more detailed understanding on the Students Movement at the Catholic
University in Goiás at the end of the 1980 s and beginning of 1990 s it was rather important
to look into the history of the whole Students Movement. Sociology also contributes
positively in conceiving the concept of young or even youth, since the Students Movement
and youth complement each other wherever they may be found. The youth have organized
throughout history some rebel movements, both defying and supporting the government when
it was more convenient and safe. Once the Students Movement grows into the schools and
Universities, it is important to point out the history of education in Goiás, mainly in Goiânia
to show how the foundation of Liceu School and the Catholic and Federal Universities took
place in Goiânia. The insertion of Neoliberalism in the country brought up several
consequences for education and for the Students Movement itself. In 1992, the backing off of
the President Fernando Collor, contributed directly to the renewal of the Students Movement
in Brazil, nevertheless most part of the press ignored the importance of the youth on the
streets during such process. The strike in September, 1992 at UCG is contemporary to
Collor s backing off process from the presidency. The movements organized by the students
from that age provided a careful look into other important past movements mainly the ones
accomplished in the 1960 s, especially in 1968. The Students Movement at UCG during that
time was so active that the students set up a strike for more than a month in a private
institution requesting the right to vote for the post of chancellor and the freezing of the
monthly fee, something rare in the country. The history and representations of these
movements are going to be covered along this paper.
A sociologia
A implantação do neoliberalismo no país trouxe sérias
caso raro no país. A história e as representações desses movimentos serão discutidas ao longo
desse trabalho.

Previous issue date: 2011-05-06 / The research purpose was to analyze the Congregation of São Pedro Ad Vincula trajectory in
Mara Rosa-GO, which icon is the Priest Lorenzo Martinez Arias. This priest came to the town
of Mara Rosa in 1961 to take on the Santo Antônio de Pádua Parish (in Amaro Leite),
remaining in the position of vicar until his death, in 1995. It is worth noting that we searched
on Priest Lorenzo s mailing, the representations built by him around the people and place, as
well as around himself, his priesthood and the role he exercised. The sources used on the
research were: the data collection entitled Priest Lorenzo s writings , documents that belong
to the book tumble in the Santo Antônio Parish in Mara Rosa. We also used two small books
about the congregation history written by Ad Vincula priests. Another source was the
Congregation blog in Brazil. The results we reached made it possible to apprehend that priest
Lorenzo extended his role as the São Pedro Ad Vincula Congregation missionary beyond the
religious field. He exercised other activities as vicar. He was also near the local politics,
offering support and incentive on the realizations and projects that could bring benefits to
town and its people. And, at the same time, he was analyzing, arguing and, sometimes,
criticizing the government actions. He also appears involved on education. Firstly, on the
Congregation School and, after, on the public service as the Colégio Estadual Presidente
Castelo Branco principal. We concluded that the priest s realizations are fruit of his
comprehension on the role he had to fulfill as a missionary, regarding his congregation:
sacrifice himself for it. Which means, make it prosper in relation to the local people, bring
them some civility and make them participants of the Catholic Church. In the end, the
dedication with which he fulfills his mission can be understood as a consequence of the
representations he made about himself, and of its salvific mission: the congregation itself and
em Mara Rosa GO, cujo ícone é o Pe. Lorenzo Martinez Arias.
As

Previous issue date: 2016-08-02 / Noticing the complexity of inclusion of deficient students at usual school class in addiction
the difficulties which are dealing by the teachers during the process of their work it is asked:
in what degree are the teachers getting to attend the school demands of the deficient
students, in special those ones who are identify with Intellectual Deficiency (ID) and which
are the pedagogical practices implemented in this process? And still more are these practices
those come from the contact and acting with students with intellectual deficiency innovated or
are practices that had been reiterated in the normal process with those worked with the
students with the learning difficulties( LD) which ones have already instituted in the docent
working? The current working has as purpose to try going through the direction of the
inclusion of the students with intellectual deficiency through the studies of the pedagogical
including practices and the social representations of the students with intellectual deficiency.
For doing this the study was divided into two phases. In the first phase which was called
exploratory working which five teachers were interviewed with experience in the working
with students with ID and whose the purpose of it was to identify their perception about the
pedagogical characteristics and practices. These data were used to structure the following
questionnaire used in the next step. In the second phase was actualized two studies through
the application of two questionnaires with volunteer teachers. The first study with social
representations of the students with ID and pedagogical including practices had the
participation of 38 teachers. The second one with the students with the social representations
of the students with ID had the participation of 40 teachers. The findings show that the social
representations of the student with ID are still been developed and they are formed the base
that the student with ID is an absent-minded, excited one showing several kinds of difficulties
as school ones( writing, reading and understanding) and as social ones. The teachers try to
supply these difficulties with guide practices by educational guidelines, as the conducting of
these students to the recourse room with the purpose to have a specialized attendance.
Emphasize the importance given by the teacher to the professional appraisal and the
importance of the docent education in the structure of the social representations in the
educational context.
as práticas pedagógicas implementadas neste processo? E ainda, estas práticas, advindas do
E quais seriam as
representações sociais do aluno com D.I.
A diferença
representações sociais no contexto educativo.

Das sinfonias ao samba: o imaginário das metrópoles no cinema brasileiro / From symphonies to samba: the imaginary of metropolis in Brazilian movies.Denise Lezo 02 December 2016 (has links)
The 1950s and 1960s were marked by an intense growth of Brazilian cities, and by a context of cultural and cinematographic effervescence that shaped a time of fruitful dialogue between cities and their cinematic representations. Urban films, however, were not a consensus in the period, as part of the critics believed that the roots of a national cinema were to be found in the rural environment, not yet \"corrupted\" by metropolitan cosmopolitanism. Therefore, movies that dealt with urban issues were few, and restricted to two cities: Rio de Janeiro and São Paulo. The latter, marked from early on by an imaginary linked to the notion of \"progress\", to technological advances and industrial activity, had in the City Symphonies (documentary films made in the 1920s, which portrayed the cities as universal, rhythmical and technological environments) an influence that reverberated until the mid1960s in films such as Simon the OneEyed (Alberto Cavalcanti, 1952), Men and Women (Walter Hugo Khouri) and São Paulo Sociedade Anônima (São Paulo Anonymous Society, Luis Sérgio Person, 1965). Whereas Rio de Janeiro, whose exuberant natural landscape was constantly shown in cinematic representations from the first half of the 20th century, came to be represented as Metropolis going beyond the postcard image to show the impacts of modernization processes only in the mid1950s. By analyzing the films Rio, 40 Degrees (Nelson Pereira dos Santos, 1954), Cinco Vezes Favela (Five Times Favela, Marcos Farias, Miguel Borges, Carlos Diegues, Joaquim Pedro de Andrade and Leon Hirszman, 1962) and A Grande Cidade (The Big City, Caca Diegues, 1966), one finds in the city a markedly uneven and contrasting urbanity, which sought a delicate equilibrium between order and chaos. For the cinematic Rio de Janeiro, adapting to the command and rhythm of the machine is not an effective answer, and it was necessary to create mechanisms to resist this order. Such mechanisms could be found in a sense of community within the environment of the favelas, represented by popular manifestations, especially the Carnival and samba music.

A identidade de licenciandos em física: em busca de uma caracterização / The identity of undergraduates in physics: in search of a characterizationCarla Alves de Souza 26 January 2012 (has links)
In recent years, more attention is being directed to teacher professional identity. In this context, we intend to investigate the identities of students during a physics teacher education university course. We consider that aspects like these must be inherent to the planning and developing of own undergraduate courses, especially considering social and culture context. With this purpose, we search for support on Bourdieu ideas and on social representation theories. To accomplish this intention, we developed a case study, taking as an object the Physics Teaching Course of the University of São Paulo. Special attention was directed to student representations about teacher profiles and their science conceptions, as well as to their expectation towards future profession practices. Three moments of the students formation were analyzed, through different approaches, including admission, trajectories and graduation (or not), searching for possible evolutions of their ideas about being teacher and studying Physics. Our results indicate that these students present very peculiar social characteristics and cultural capital baggage, as compare to other students in graduate courses at the same university. Most of them don\'t want to be teachers and their expectations toward future professional are restricted, decreasing along the advancing of the course. On the other hand, it seems clear that the course actions and design impact positively on their comprehensions about being teacher, withdrawing from technical professional profiles towards a more reflexive one. The same thing happens with science conceptions, the course promoting a more critical approach. It could be said that student identity shows a dual perspective, bounding through difficulties and successes. From these results, it came out that it must be very important that teacher identity should be explicit discussed in different times through their formation, aiming its clear and conscious course of construction along the time.

Despite their omnipresence and essential role in our everyday lives, online and printed graphical representations are inaccessible to visually impaired people because they cannot be explored using the sense of touch. The gap between sighted and visually impaired people's access to graphical representations is constantly growing due to the increasing development and availability of online and dynamic representations that not only give sighted people the opportunity to access large amounts of data, but also to interact with them using advanced functionalities such as panning, zooming and filtering. In contrast, the techniques currently used to make maps and diagrams accessible to visually impaired people require the intervention of tactile graphics specialists and result in non-interactive tactile representations. However, based on recent advances in the automatic production of content, we can expect in the coming years a growth in the availability of adapted content, which must go hand-in-hand with the development of affordable and usable devices. In particular, these devices should make full use of visually impaired users' perceptual capacities and support the display of interactive and updatable representations. A number of research prototypes have already been developed. Some rely on digital representation only, and although they have the great advantage of being instantly updatable, they provide very limited tactile feedback, which makes their exploration cognitively demanding and imposes heavy restrictions on content. On the other hand, most prototypes that rely on digital and physical representations allow for a two-handed exploration that is both natural and efficient at retrieving and encoding spatial information, but they are physically limited by the use of a tactile overlay, making them impossible to update. Other alternatives are either extremely expensive (e.g. braille tablets) or offer a slow and limited way to update the representation (e.g. maps that are 3D-printed based on users' inputs). In this thesis, we propose to bridge the gap between these two approaches by investigating how to develop physical interactive maps and diagrams that support two-handed exploration, while at the same time being updatable and affordable. To do so, we build on previous research on Tangible User Interfaces (TUI) and particularly on (actuated) tabletop TUIs, two fields of research that have surprisingly received very little interest concerning visually impaired users. Based on the design, implementation and evaluation of three tabletop TUIs (the Tangible Reels, the Tangible Box and BotMap), we propose innovative non-visual interaction techniques and technical solutions that will hopefully serve as a basis for the design of future TUIs for visually impaired users, and encourage their development and use. We investigate how tangible maps and diagrams can support various tasks, ranging from the (re)construction of diagrams to the exploration of maps by panning and zooming. From a theoretical perspective we contribute to the research on accessible graphical representations by highlighting how research on maps can feed research on diagrams and vice-versa. We also propose a classification and comparison of existing prototypes to deliver a structured overview of current research.

Previous issue date: 2007-06-21 / The objective of this study consisted in constructing possibilities that contributed for the understanding of the perceptions and meanings attributed to the associativeness from the social representations of the trader familiar agriculturists in the city of Pato Branco. The technique of data collection used was the case study, with quantitative and qualitative approaches, arranged in half-structuralized interviews, in whose stories of the associates they had retraced their experience in the collective performance. The theoretical references used in this study join to the multi dimensions of the life histories of the familiar agriculturists, who had constructed from their social representations, an associativeness model as an alternative form of participating of the local market. The refined results demonstrate through their cultural identities, associative experience, challenges and opportunities the necessity of the implementation of new forms of management that stimulate the collective involvement and the participation of the associates.
