In this work, a new specialized metaheuristic based on the Dynamic Search Fireworks Algorithm with Covariance Mutation (DSFWACM) is applied on the Optimal Power Flow (OPF) problem in transmission systems. In the proposed method, generator bus voltage magnitudes and active power generation are considered as continuous variables and the operating state of the shunts and transformer taps settings are considered as discrete variables. Thus, the model is a Mixed-Integer Nonlinear Programming (MINLP) problem. The adopted resolution strategy is to control, in each iteration, the value of the discrete control variables using the DSFWACM metaheuristic and from the metaheuristic’s chosen values, solve the Nonlinear Programming (NLP) problem that provides the values of the continuous control variables along with the system’s operation state. The DSFWACM metaheuristic was written in MATLAB and the problem model in AMPL. The NLP sub-problems were solved using the KNITRO solver, and the interface between MATLAB and AMPL was implemented using the AMPL API. Tests were conducted with the IEEE 14, 30, 57 and 118-bus systems and the results show that the proposed method is able to find high quality solutions to the problem. / CNPq: 132374/2011-0

Tomasoni, Sônia Marise Rodrigues Pereira 24 August 2015 (has links)
This thesis focuses on the social and spatial dynamics of fireworks production, carried out mostly by women, at Santo Antonio de Jesus-BA, city located on Territory of Recôncavo, beside the BR-101 road, 190km far from Salvador, the State Capital. The city emerges as a hub due to trading and infrastructure in services. Starting on an investigation about the territories occupied by this production, it was possible contextualize the female workers on the pyrotechnic labor process, as well as observing their life style, tensions, nature and work relations built during the hoarding of their labor. The theoretical discussion seized the territory as a reference for reality comprehension, as well as the relations on territory with public policies and the labor world. The timescale from 1998 until 2015, is justified because it seeks to explain the configuration of the pyrotechnic production, since the tragedy occurred on December 11th of 1998. This tragedy unveiled Santo Antonio de Jesus the title of second largest fireworks producer in Brazil, and therefore a pyrotechnic hub. The qualitative approach in line with the quantitative data analysis, allowed to explain the relations built in the fireworks territory and the object studied. During this work development, based on empirics, the following research tools were used: observation in loco, testimonies, document analysis, photographical registries, questionnaires and interviews. The information were treated on a way that data reflects the reality. From the data, a fireworks territory analysis was obtained, finding that the women work is amateur, home maid and hazardous, incorporating all the family using elderly and child labor. This production takes place in an informal and clandestine market. The public policies implemented in order to solve this problem were unsuccessful, and the fireworks production today spread to other cities, maintains Santo Antonio de Jesus the main production territory, mostly at Irmã Dulce and São Paulo Neighborhoods. Although the production is done in a precarious way, it contributes for the families‘ survival and the organization of city spaces, with formation of fireworks territory controlled by local traders.

Stavba a její kontexty / The Palace of the Count Michna of Vacínov. A Building and It's Contexts

Kadlec, Tadeáš January 2021 (has links)
(EN) The Prague's Lesser Town house of count Václav Michna of Vacínov (1611?-1667) pertains to be one of the biggest mysteries of the history of 17th-century architecture in Bohemia, the attention of a number of scholars notwithstanding. The grandiosity of the proposed plan, known in its entirety from a later copy, as well as the imposing design of the house's east front, distinguishing itself by a skilful use of the classical orders, indicate an employment of a designer of a rather surprising capacity and adroitness, given the time and place - Prague in the sixteen- thirties and sixteen-forties. The only incontestable clue, that suggests itself to a solver of this riddle, remains to be the date of the completion of the palace's stucco decoration (1644) and the name of its author, Domenico Galli (died 1675). The anonymity of the designing architect led the previous researchers to search for formal analogies in the Italian architectural production, quite without convincing results. The principal intention of this thesis, aside from an assessment of the previous findings and an attempt for a more accurate placement of the building in the context of Italian architecture, is rather to propose a reading of its meaning, based on a deeper knowledge of the patron's life, his interests, and representational...

Réjouissances monarchiques et joie publique à Paris au XVIIIe siècle : approbation et interrogation du pouvoir politique par l'émotion (1715-1789) / Rejoicings and popular joyfulness : asserting and questioning political power through feelings (1715-1789)

Valade, Pauline 03 December 2016 (has links)
In the society of Ancient Regime, the monarchical festivities and public manifestations of joy had an essential function for political power. Their organization and their progress, demonstrated a sustained attention to ways to amaze, amuse and provoke demonstrations of joy among the Parisian population. Deprived of any political speech, this one was convened to applaud and approve the royal power and government. However, the celebrations were primarily a space for dialogue between the elites and the population of the capital because it reserved the right to show or not his joy, in order to criticize or question the virtues of political power. By studying the decisions, rules for the organization and supervision of the festivities, this is to understand how the monarchy needed the festivities to show his power and virtues in a public space under political and police control. It appears that rejoicing was a duty of the subjects. Analysis of the means used to delight the population can reveal the elite perceptions of the population, strictly reduced sensory abilities. The study of fireworks, throwing money or charitable gestures of royal power nevertheless throws new light on interests to ensure well-calculated cheers. The final part examines the ways in which people responded to the demands of power. The analysis of the experiences of the public joy, helps understand that obedience never excluded a personal appropriation of events, for princes to the humblest Parisians. As official events of joy were subjects of negotiations as they were diversion for protester or transgressive purposes, especially in the last third of the eighteenth century. Thus, the culture of assertion, instilled throughout the century, paradoxically served a culture of protest since the duty to cheer became a right to rejoice.

Kulturně-společenské centrum Brno-přehrada /téma "Brno-město uprostřed Evropy"/ / Culture and public centre Brno-damlake/Theme"Brno-city in the midle of the Europe"/

Mikulka, Petr January 2013 (has links)
The theme of Master Thesis is the Brno dam and its effective utilization. The very subject of this thesis is the Cultural and Social Center (the Center). The project follows a broad urban context and provides a new insight into the operation and use of this site. It contains a proposal of movement coordination and effective utilization of the most attractive areas closely related to the water surface. Cultural and Social Center is designed as a part of the landscape. It connects two levels of trails leading around the object. This connection is expressed through the dominant stairs. The program of the Center complements and evaluates leisure activities of the site, plus the Center offers an extraordinary space. Digital RGB spectrum system senses the current weather and converts the results into a graphic and scenic projection. Thanks to this system a new concept of space is continuously formed. The atmosphere, temperature, texture, intensity etc.. The visitor thus will never be a part of the same "exhibition." The first floor, (level +0,00m) around the water surface, is preferably used as a Cultural and Social Center. It has three naves of the Center, foyer with cafe and snacks, as well as it covers a DPMB building of cabeling. Few parts of the facade are designed as a sliding facade, thus visitors could stay in direct contact with the water surface and landscape. Second floor – (level +3,50m) is an spatial continuation on the Center and the rest is mostly used for technical security of the building. In foyer there is a second part of cafe – more private and relaxing room. Third floor (level +7,00m) is connected with the trail going around the building. At this level takes place leisure and educational center, which is complemented by the multifunction hall and an administrative facilities. The idea of landscape use is to provide an outdoor sports urban park a la Miralles urban parks.
