Automatizované měření asynchronního motoru pomocí LabVIEW / Automatic measurement of induction machine using LabVIEW

The main purpose of the thesis Automatic measurement of induction machine using LabVIEW was to develope an automated measuring system, which is used to perform tests of induction motors. The algorithm of the system is programmed in LabVIEW. In the practical part of this thesis, a measurement of the motor Atas Elektromotory Náchod a.s. T22VT512 is carried out, in order to verificate functions of the algorithm, and to perform tests of the motor to analyse losses. Another part of the work is dedicated to the electromagnetic calculation of the motor T22VT512. For this purpose, two softwares with different principles of calculation have been used. Firstly, the calculation is solved by an analytical based software called RMxprt. Secondly, the software Maxwell 2D is used to make the calculation of electric and magnetic fields by the finite element method.

The dairy industry is a complex system that involves many stakeholders and processes, from production to distribution. To measure and improve the performance of this system, a comprehensive and reliable Performance Measurement System (PMS) is needed. A PMS is a tool that helps to evaluate the efficiency and effectiveness of supply chain operations. One of the components of a PMS is the key performance indicators (KPIs), which reflect the performance of specific aspects of the supply chain. This thesis explores how KPIs can be used to enhance logistics performance in the dairy industry. The research is based on a single case study of a global company that operates in the dairy sector, which faces challenges such as high competition, customer demand variability, and food waste. The research uses a mix of literature review, interviews, and data analysis to identify and evaluate the relevant KPIs for logistics performance, as well as their interrelationships and impacts. The research applies the interpretive structural modeling (ISM) method to develop a hierarchical model of the KPIs and their causal relationships. The interpretive structural model of the indicators shows that the current indicators commonly used in the dairy industry today are not suitable for measuring performance, the indicators do not affect the current performance significantly but rather reflect the. This paper proposes a methodology for qualitatively evaluating performance measures, based on the integration of the ISM approach, the MICMAC analysis, and the seven criteria of a KPI. The ISM approach is a technique for identifying and analyzing the interrelationships among elements of a complex system. By applying this methodology, organizations and researchers can assess the suitability and importance of a set of KPIs. / Mejeriindustrin är ett komplext system som involverar många intressenter och processer, från produktion till distribution. För att mäta och förbättra systemets prestanda behövs ett heltäckande och tillförlitligt system för prestationsmätning (PMS). Ett PMS är ett verktyg som hjälper till att utvärdera effektiviteten i leveranskedjans verksamhet. En av komponenterna i ett PMS är nyckeltal (KPI:er), som är mått som återspeglar prestandan för specifika aspekter av leveranskedjan. Denna studie syftar till att undersöka hur KPI:er kan användas för att förbättra logistiken inom mejeriindustrin. Forskningen baseras på en fallstudie av ett globalt företag som är verksamt inom mejerisektorn, som står inför utmaningar som hög konkurrens, varierande kundefterfrågan och matsvinn. Forskningen använder en blandning av litteraturstudier, intervjuer och dataanalys för att identifiera och utvärdera relevanta KPI:er för logistikprestanda, samt deras inbördes relationer och påverkan. Forskningen tillämpar metoden ISM (Interpretive Structural Modeling) för att utveckla en hierarkisk modell av KPI:erna och deras orsakssamband. Den tolkande strukturella modellen av indikatorerna visar att de nuvarande indikatorerna som vanligtvis används i mejeriindustrin idag inte är lämpliga för att mäta prestanda, indikatorerna påverkar inte den nuvarande prestationen avsevärt utan återspeglar snarare resultaten. Alla vill varandras väl : Hur ledarskap genom medarbetarskap i en kvalitetskultur skaparpatientnöjdhet vid svenska sjukhus

Engagerat ledarskap är grunden till att skapa en god kvalitetskultur och för attlyckas krävs medarbetarskapets delaktighet. Forskare menar att stödet förnärvarande ledare i vården har fram tills idag varit tämligen outvecklat. Syftetmed denna studie var att förstå framgångsfaktorer för hur kvalitetskulturen isvensk sjukvård kan kopplas mot ledarnas möjlighet att främja ett gottmedarbetarskap. Detta utifrån en förklarande sekventiell mixad metod med tvåkvantitativa mätningar som slutligen resulterade i en kvalitativ intervju. Enmätning av kvalitetskulturen vid svenska sjukhus utfördes utifrån ett tidigareframtaget mätinstrument för att mäta kvalitetskultur. Mätinstrumentetpresenterades genom 13 beteendepar som främjar respektive hindrar enkvalitetskultur. Denna mätning visade att det idag råder en generellt godkvalitetskultur vid svenska sjukhus. Genom denna mätning kunde enregressionsanalys utföras som kopplades samman mot sjukhusens resultat iNationell patientenkät. Ett statistiskt signifikant beteende kunde uppmätassom enligt denna mätning skapar nöjdare patienter ju mer medarbetarnaupplever att detta beteende förekommer i deras organisation. Beteendet ärnär vi har ett problem tar vi reda på grundorsaken innan vi beslutar om enlösning. Detta beteende togs med till två framgångsrika sjukhus för att djupareförstå hur dessa arbetar med medarbetarskapet i just detta beteende. Utifrånworkshop med dessa två sjukhus är slutsatsen att ledare behöver ha erfaritden kvalitetskultur och det medarbetarskap de ska bära för att främja ettmedarbetarskap som kopplats samman med kvalitetskulturen. I jakten på attnå framgång är en stark kvalitetskultur eftersträvansvärd men utifrånworkshoparna ser författarna ingen möjlig snabb lösning för att nå dit.Resultatet visar att dagens ledare i vården behöver stöd i form av mentor ellerreflektion kring ledarskap själv eller i grupp för att utvecklas. I konstruktiv andaär det med förbättringskunskap i grunden som allas delaktighet i arbetet medständiga förbättringar bedrivs. Detta kräver allas reflektion, ärlighet, mod,öppenhet och förtroende där allt grundar sig i att alla vill varandras väl! / Committed leadership is the foundation for creating a good quality culture andto succeed, the participation of employees is required. Researchers argue thatsupport for the current leaders in healthcare has until now been ratherundeveloped. The purpose of this study was to understand how the qualityculture in Swedish healthcare can be linked to the leaders' ability to promotegood co-workership. This study was based on an explanatory sequentialmixed method with two quantitative measurements that ultimately resulted in aqualitative interview. A measurement of the quality culture at Swedishhospitals was taken based on a previously developed instrument formeasuring quality culture . The measuring instrument comprises 13behavioral pairs that promote or hinder a quality culture. This measure showsthat there is generally a good quality culture at Swedish hospitals at present.Through this measurement, a regression analysis was done which links to thehospital's results in the National Patient Survey. A statistically significantbehavior was observed, and according to this measurement, is likely to createmore satisfied patients as more professions feel that this behavior occurs intheir organization. The behaviour in question can be described as: when wehave a problem, we find out the root cause before we decide on a solution.This behavior was brought into two successful hospitals in order to understandmore deeply how they work with the co-workership in this particular behavior.Based on the workshop with these two hospitals, we conclude that leadersneed to have experienced the quality culture and the co-workership they areassumed to carry in order to promote an employee culture that is linked to thequality culture. In pursuit of success, a strong quality culture is desirable, butbased on the workshops, the authors see no possible quick solution to reachit. The result shows that today's leaders in healthcare need support in the formof a mentor or time for reflection on leadership on their own or in groups inorder to develop. The Development of a Three Minute Realtime Sampling Method to Measure Social Harmony during Interactions between Parents and their Toddlers with Autism

Training parents of a child with autism to increase the frequency of their child's social behavior may improve the quality of parent-child interactions. The purpose of this methodological study was to develop a direct observation method for rapidly sampling social harmony between parents and their toddlers with autism during parent training interactions. The current study used a pre and post probe design, with benchmark comparisons to test the discriminability of the measurement protocol across two sets of data. The first set of data came from pre and post training videos from a parent training program for children with a diagnosis of autism or at risk for a diagnosis. The second set of data came from videos of typically developing toddlers and their parents. The results of the study show that the measurement system differentiated in the level of harmonious engagement between the benchmark sample and the sample including children diagnosed with autism. The results are discussed in the context of future directions and the utility of the measurement system for behavior analytic practices in parent training and other settings where rapport and complex interactional behaviors are an intervention priority.

Who are we and what do we measure? : A case study of the dynamic relationship between performance measurement and organizational identity

Performance measurements have been described as a tool by which management can communicate expected standards of behavior as well as a shared meaning among members regarding the intended direction of the firm. In parallel, the organizational identity field relies on the premise that members can answer the question “who are we as an organization?” through a sense of shared understanding. The purpose of this paper is to investigate the implications a performance measurement system has on the employees’ perception of “who we are“, related to the theoretical framework of organizational identity. This paper utilizes a qualitative research method, a case-based approach of a Swedish life science company which is conducted in an exploratory manner. The case company is chosen due to its contextual setting regarding the newly implemented performance measurement system, along with the inherent characteristics of the industry in general, which is typically considered to be incongruent with such quantitative measurements. The empirical data is collected through eight interviews with members from the chosen case company, as well as through internal documents describing its performance measurement system. The authors propose a revised theoretical framework in which performance measurements and organizational identity are investigated through a conceptual model which explores their dynamic relationship. The findings reinforce well-known ideas of performance measurements and organizational identity, along with providing new insights on the dynamics between them. ON-MACHINE MEASUREMENT OF WORKPIECE FORM ERRORS IN ULTRAPRECISION MACHINING

Ultraprecision single point diamond turning is required to produce parts with sub-nanometer surface roughness and sub-micrometer surface profiles tolerances. These parts have applications in the optics industry, where tight form accuracy is required while achieving high surface finish quality. Generally, parts can be polished to achieve the desired finish, but then the form accuracy can easily be lost in the process rendering the part unusable. Currently, most mid to low spatial frequency surface finish errors are inspected offline. This is done by physically removing the workpiece from the machining fixture and mounting the part in a laser interferometer. This action introduces errors in itself through minute differences in the support conditions of the over constrained part on a machine as compared to the mounting conditions used for part measurement. Once removed, the fixture induced stresses and the part’s internal residual stresses relax and change the shape of the generally thin parts machined in these applications. Thereby, the offline inspection provides an erroneous description of the performance of the machine. This research explores the use of a single, high resolution, capacitance sensor to quickly and qualitatively measure the low to mid spatial frequencies on the workpiece surface, while it is mounted in a fixture on a standard ultraprecision single point diamond turning machine after a standard facing operation. Following initial testing, a strong qualitative correlation exists between the surface profiling on a standard offline system and this online measuring system. Despite environmental effects and the effects of the machine on the measurement system, the capacitive system with some modifications and awareness of its measurement method is a viable option for measuring mid to low spatial frequencies on a workpiece surface mounted on an ultraprecision machine with a resolution of 1nm with an error band of ±5nm with a 20kHz bandwidth. / Thesis / Master of Applied Science (MASc)
