La liberté chez Anselme : de la chute à la grâce

Le philosophe et théologien saint Anselme de Cantorbéry (1033—1109) offre une pensée riche de la liberté qui a été influente au Moyen Âge. Katherin A. Rogers a récemment jugé bon de mettre Anselme en dialogue avec la philosophie contemporaine par rapport au débat sur le libre arbitre. La présente étude approuve ce projet, mais rejette le rapprochement que Rogers opère entre Anselme et Harry G. Frankfurt (1929—) avec son Interprétation Hiérarchique. Cette étude se donne pour tâche, dans un premier temps, de reprendre à zéro une étude historique sur la liberté chez Anselme en l’abordant par différents angles d’approche dans chacun de ses cinq chapitres, et dans un deuxième temps et de manière secondaire, de mener à bien une conversation entre Anselme et la philosophie contemporaine analytique sur le libre arbitre. À travers ces chapitres sur la pensée anselmienne, l’on verra : ce qui constitue le fondement de la morale, de la causalité, de la possibilité, et de la nécessité ; les distinctions et les concepts autour desquels s’articule le problème de la liberté, notamment la distinction entre faire sponte et naturaliter ; qu’Anselme se classe parmi les penseurs libertariens par rapport au libre arbitre, mais avec d’importantes qualifications ; le concept de la liberté du choix et sa force insurpassable ; les différents sens du mot « volonté », soit la volonté-instrument, la volonté-usus, et les affections de la volonté ; ainsi que la solution qu’Anselme apporte au problème de la possibilité du mal. Dans une conclusion, plutôt que de rapprocher Anselme de Frankfurt, on l’associera avec la théorie nommée agent-causation, dont Roderick M. Chisholm (1916—1999) est un des plus grands représentants. / The philosopher and theologian Saint Anselm of Canterbury (1033—1109) offers a rich framework for thinking about freedom that has been influential in the Middle Ages. Katherin A. Rogers has recently judged right to put Anselm in dialogue with contemporary philosophy with regard to the debate on free will. The present study approves this project, but rejects the attempt to link Anselm with Harry G. Frankfurt (1929—) that Rogers operates with her Hierarchical Interpretation. This study gives itself the task, firstly, to rework from scratch a historical study on freedom in Anselm by tackling the subject from different vantage points in each of its five chapters, and secondly as well as secondarily, to establish communication between Anselm and contemporary analytical philosophy on the topic of free will. Throughout these chapters on Anselm’s philosophy, the following will be seen: what constitutes the foundation of morality, causality, possibility, and necessity; distinctions and concepts around which the problem of freedom articulates itself, in particular the distinction between doing sponte and naturaliter; that Anselm can be classified as a libertarian thinker regarding free will, but with important qualifications; the concept of freedom of choice and its unsurpassable strength; the three different senses of the word “will”: instrument of the will, usus of the will, and the affections of the will; as well as the solution that Anselm gives to the problem of the possibility of evil. In a conclusion, instead of bringing Anselm closer to Frankfurt, it is with the so-called agent-causation theory that he will be associated with, of which Roderick M. Chisholm (1916—1999) is one of the main upholders.

The main theme of this dissertation is to define an image as a visual experience. The human interaction is described by the author himself as a perception of the image, which serves as an information unit that could be presented as a possibility, example and pattern for the individual. There is an emphasis on the process of perception itself and on the way of interaction of an individual emphasizing the context of social learning and imitation in this text. The analysis of the principles of this interaction leading into introduction of the partial interactive models covering these processes is formed by the essential plane. The structure of the thesis is divided into ten main chapters in which the author tries to introduce a category of perception, a definition of the image and imitation as a tool of cultural transmission, presentation of the units of this transmission, the process of the interaction itself and analogous example of the fundamental role that a person in this interaction holds. There are also three analogies of these roles, which refer to the anthropological universal interaction describing the man as a gatherer and hunter. Der Unterstellungsbegriff ist ein zentraler Begriff innerhalb transzendentaler Argumente. Transzendentale Argumente sind Versuche, empirische Erkenntnis stabiler zu sichern als durch empirische Erkenntnis selbst. Dabei müssten, heißt es immer wieder, bestimmte grundlegende Sachverhalte unterstellt werden. Was genau bedeutet hier „unterstellen“? Exemplarisch wird in dieser Arbeit Habermas’ Verwendung des Unterstellungsbegriffs und des eng verwandten Voraussetzungsbegriffs nachvollzogen und interpretiertHabermas verwendet seinen Kernbegriff nicht einheitlich, insbesondere unterscheidet er nicht zwischen semantischem und epistemischem Voraussetzungsbegriff. Im Gegensatz zum semantischen Voraussetzungsbegriff, der eine Relation zwischen Sachverhalten beschreibt, kennzeichnet der epistemische Voraussetzungsbegriff eine Relation zwischen einem epistemischen Subjekt und einem Sachverhalt. Mit der Verwendung des Ausdrucks Unterstellung konstruiert Habermas einen internen, konstitutiven Zusammenhang zwischen unserer Kommunikationsfähigkeit und grundlegend verschiedenen propositionalen, epistemischen Einstellungen, ohne dass diese terminologisch voneinander abgegrenzt werden. Handelt es sich um Fiktionen, Hypothesen oder um handfeste Überzeugungen? Der rekonstruierte Zusammenhang erweist sich in Abhängigkeit von der durch das Verb unterstellen jeweils ausgedrückten propositionalen Einstellung – doxastisch-affirmativ, doxastisch-negierende oder nicht-doxastisch - entweder als unverständlich oder als trivial. Die als notwendige Voraussetzungen benannten Unterstellungen haben aufgrund der Semantik des Ausdrucks unterstellen hinsichtlich ihres epistemischen Status’ also keinen klaren Sinn. Damit scheitert a fortiori auch Habermas’ Versuch, notwendige Unterstellungen als schwach transzendentale Grundlage kommunikativen Handelns zu bestimmen. Die Inakzeptanz transzendentaler Argumente – auch in ihrer nicht-metaphysischen, von Habermas favorisierten „schwachen“ Lesart – wird durch die Formulierung „unterstellen müssen“ als Bestandteil des Schlussprinzips oder einer Prämisse transzendentaler Argumente systematisch verschleiert. / The concept of presuppositions is central for transcendental arguments. Transcendental arguments are efforts to validate empirical knowledge more effectively than through empirical knowledge itself. According to widely held views some fundamental propositions have to be presupposed for that purpose. But what – precisely – does “to presuppose something” mean? This paper will exemplarily reconstruct and interpret the use of the concept of presupposition in Jürgen Habermas’ work: Habermas doesn’t use this central concept in a homogeneous, standardized way: In particular he does not distinguish between the semantic and the epistemological concept. In contrast to the semantic concept, which describes a relationship between propositions, the epistemological concept characterizes a relationship between an epistemological subject and a proposition. Moreover, using the term “presupposition”, Habermas constructs an internal, constitutive connection between our ability to communicate and fundamentally different propositional, epistemological attitudes, without distinguishing them from each other. Is it a matter of fictions, hypotheses or beliefs? The reconstructed connection appears to be either incomprehensible or trivial given its dependence on the verb “to presuppose”, which can imply the propositional attitude of doxastic-affirmative, doxastic-negating or non-doxastic. The presuppositions claimed to be essential are not clearly defined in terms of their epistemological status because of the semantics of the term to presuppose. Therefore, Habermas’ attempt to determine essential presuppositions as a transcendental basis for communication also fails a fortiori. The non-acceptance of transcendental arguments – even in their non-metaphysic interpretation favoured by Habermas – is disguised as constituent of the premise of the corpus by the phrase “to have to presuppose”.

Από τις τυχαίες γωνίες στις περιοδικές κατανομές

Η εκπόνηση της συγκεκριμένης Μεταπτυχιακής Εργασίας, εξετάζει, καταρχήν, την έννοια της πιθανότητας και τις βασικές ιδιότητές της, όπως την τυχαία μεταβλητή και τη συνάρτηση κατανομής. Παράλληλα όμως, παρουσιάζει στοιχεία βασικών διακριτών και συνεχών κατανομών, όπως της κανονικής, της ομοιόμορφης, της Poisson, και άλλων κατανομών της γραμμικής στατιστικής. Στη συνέχεια, αναφέρεται στις βασικές έννοιες της περιγραφικής στατιστικής, όπως οργάνωση και γραφική αναπαράσταση στατιστικών δεδομένων, ομαδοποίηση παρατηρήσεων, ιστόγραμμα συχνοτήτων, καθώς και περιγραφικά μέτρα γραμμικών δεδομένων. Κυρίως, όμως, η παρούσα μελέτη αποτελεί μία γενική επισκόπηση των στατιστικών μεθόδων παρουσίασης και ανάλυσης των περιοδικών δεδομένων. Με τον όρο "περιοδικά δεδομένα", εννοούμε τυχαίες διευθύνσεις και κατευθύνσεις προσανατολισμού. Η παρουσίασης των τυχαίων γωνιών, των γραφικών αναπαραστάσεων των περιοδικών δεδομένων καθώς και των περιγραφικών μέτρων - μέτρα θέσεως, διασποράς, λοξότητας, κυρτώσεως - θα μας οδηγήσουν σε μία καλύτερη προσέγγιση, κατανόηση των περιοδικών κατανομών. Επιπλέον, θα παρουσιαστούν αναλυτικά οι βασικές περιοδικές κατανομές, ομοιόμορφη και Von Mises κατανομή. Όμως, θα εξεταστούν και άλλες κατανομές μονοκόρυφες ή πολυκόρυφες, όπως οι περιελιγμένες κατανομές , η συνημίτονο και η καρδιοειδής κατανομή, οι λοξές κατανομές κ.ά. Τέλος, η εργασία θα αναφερθεί σε μία οικογένεια συμμετρικών περιοδικών κατανομών που προτάθηκε από τον κύριο Παπακωνσταντίνου και αποτελεί επέκταση της καρδιοειδούς κατανομής,σύμφωνα με εργασία των επιστημόνων Toshihiro Abe,Arthur Pewsey,Kunio Shimizu, παρέχοντας σημαντικά πλεονεκτήματα σε σχέση με άλλες οικογένειες κατανομών. / The preparation of this thesis examines, in principle,the concept of probability and its basic properties, such as the random variable and distribution function and presents data of basic discrete and continuous distributions, including normal, uniform, the Poisson, and other distributions of linear statistics. Then it refers to the basic concepts of descriptive statistics, such as the organization and the graphic representation of statistical data, grouping observations Frequency histogram as well as descriptive measures of linear data. Mostly, though, this study represents an overview of statistic methods of presentation and analysis of periodic data. By the term "periodic data" we mean random addresses and directions orientation. The presentation of random angles, graphic representations of periodic data and descriptive measures - measures of location, dispersion, skewness and kurtosis - will lead us to a better approach and understanding of periodic distributions. Furthermore, we present in detail the basic periodic distributions, the uniform and the Von Mises distribution. But other unimodal and multimodal distributions will be examined such as wrapped distributions, the cosine and cardioid distribution, skewed distributions, etc. Finally, this thesis will mention a family of symmetric periodic distributions proposed by Mr. Papakonstantinou and an extension of the cardioid distribution, according to the paper published by the scientists Toshihiro Abe,Arthur Pewsey and Kunio Shimizu, where significant advantages are provided over other families of distributions.

Solidariedade: uma possibilidade de integração no ensino básico e profissional das escolas técnicas do governo do estado do Rio de Janeiro

No. of bitstreams: 0 Previous issue date: 2003 / This research had as objective to identify critical factors that will make possible the implantation, collective and individual development, of one centered public politics in the variable solidarity, as a way of search of the integration for the improvement of the basic and professional education of systems of technical schools of State of Rio de Janeiro, today under the responsibility of Fundação de Apoio à Escola Técnica – FAETEC. The research had as reference of search of datas and informations, in its majority, of professionals, students and stakeholders unloaded of the concrete participation of the current FAETEC´s public politics. Therefore, Pablo Freire also served as referencial, mainly in its citation in page 19 of the book 'Educação e mudança', when he cites 'The true commitment is solidarity, and to not solidarity with that they deny the solidary commitment it, but with that, in the concrete situation, if they find converted into things'. These premises had fortified the choice of the research-action as methodology. Of stakeholders, we can cite the Industrial Union of the Technician of State of Rio de Janeiro (SINTEC-RJ), the Association of responsible parents and pupils of Adolpho Bloch school (APRAETEAB) and the Self-Regulating Body of the Engeneering Profession and architecture (CREA-RJ) through the Technician who are Overseers in the current management. Other interested people had also participated, whose contributions had been effective. All had been pledged in collaborating so that, exactly facing difficulties, the research was enough and showed that we are preparing a land adjusted for the implantation of a new public politic in this institution. Fighting the egoism, the pride and the vanity of that, independent of ideologies, already they had been corroded in its character and more, demonstrates in its corporativism badly guided, what the collective egoism brings of curses, also not to obtain to see the possibility of a better world: one another globalization. / Esta pesquisa tuvo el objetivo de identificar factores críticos que possibilitarán la implantación, con desarrollo colectivo e individual, de una Política Pública centrada en la variable solidariedad, como un medio de busca de la integración para la mejoría de la Educación Básica e Professional del Sistema de las Escuelas Técnicas del Estado del Rio de Janeiro, hoy bajo la responsabilidad de la Fundación de Apoyo a la Escuela Técnica (FAETEC). La pesquisa tuvo como referencia de búsqueda de datos e informaciones, en su mayoría, de profesionales, alumnos y stakeholders rechazados de la participación concreta de la actual Política Pública de la FAETEC y de sus respectivas unidades. Por eso Paulo Freire también sirvió como referencial, principalmente en el que coloca en relación a los exclusos en la página 19 del libro 'Educação e Mudança', cuando escribe: 'El verdadero compromiso es la solidariedad, y no la solidariedad con los que niegan el compromiso solidario, pero con aquellos que, en la situación concreta, se encuentran convertidos en cosas'. Cette thèse présente les réponses données à la question du fondement du possible et de l’impossible dans la scolastique jésuite espagnole de l’époque moderne :en vertu de quels critères jugeons-nous que telle chose ou tel événement sont possibles, alors que tels autres nous paraissent impossibles ou contradictoires ?La double nature de ce travail, philosophique et historique, s’incarne dès lors en deux volumes à la fois distincts et complémentaires. Le premier volume est consacré à l’analyse philosophique des différentes réponses apportées au problème du possible, entre les premiers pas académiques de la Compagnie de Jésus espagnole jusqu’à son expulsion définitive du royaume en 1767. Après quelques préliminaires généraux sur le développement institutionnel et doctrinal de la scolastique moderne, on y présente successivement les solutions des écoles dominicaine et franciscaine espagnoles du XVIe siècle avant de passer aux différents grands modèles jésuites :les synthèses de Gabriel Vázquez et Francisco Suárez ;l’émergence d’un courant ultra-essentialiste ;la critique inspirée par le nominalisme de Pedro Hurtado de Mendoza ;le développement d’une ontologie conditionnaliste par Juan de Lugo et ses nombreux élèves ;la critique néo-augustinienne de toutes les traditions antérieures par Antonio Pérez et ses nombreux élèves ;le développement d’une ontologie des états de choses par Sebastián Izquierdo ;et enfin le développement d’une série d’autres solutions marginales à la fin du XVIIe siècle. Le travail se clôture sur l’expulsion d’Espagne de la Compagnie de Jésus en 1767 et par quelques réflexions sur la « migration » de ces problématiques vers l’Europe Centrale. <p>Le second volume est quant à lui purement historique et textuel. This Master's thesis deals with solution of nonstandard operation connection of E.ON's 22kV distribution network in given area, considering the possibilities of operating dispersed electric power sources currently available, as well as possible power sources connected to the distribution network in the future and its potential operation limitation. A part of this paper is a description of calculation methods used for network evaluation in steady state, with emphasis on linear calculations used by E-Vlivy program, in which the operational possibilities are simulated. Therefore, a description of this program is also included. Suggested operation possibilities correspond with E.ON's valid distribution network operation rules. The outcome of this paper will serve to E.ON's 22kV network's controllers as materials for network operating in nonstandard operation states.

On logically probable recovery are performed four tests (legal admissibility, physical possibility, financial merits and maximum profitability), on the basis of which will be the highest and best use.

This diploma thesis is focused on a comparison of construction cost of the house made of classic materials with the equivalent made of natural building materials and consequently on comparison of both construction variants. In order to perform those tasks, the used natural building materials were defined. Furthermore, the specific options of usage of these natural building materials as well as the used composition structures were introduced. The thesis concludes with a price calculation of the constructions made of natural building materials which were not available in the common budgetary software. The appendix of the thesis contains budgets for the first variant, where the house is made of natural building materials, and also for the second variant, where the house is made of classic materials.
