Em uma de suas definções, a Terminologia representa o conjunto de princípios e métodos adotados no processo de gestão e criação de produtos terminológicos, tais como glossários e dicionários de termos. A sistematização desses métodos envolve a aplicação de ferramentas computacionais específicas e compatíveis com as tarefas terminológicas, contribuindo para o desenvolvimento desses produtos e a difusão de conhecimento especializado. Entretanto, principalmente no Brasil, a combinação da Terminologia e Informática é incipiente, e dentre as atividades do trabalho terminológico é comum a utilização de várias ferramentas não especializados para esse fim. Isso torna o trabalho dos terminólogos muito moroso, pois esse trabalho geralmente é feito por uma equipe multidisciplinar que deve ter acesso, a todo o momento, à versão mais atual das várias etapas da geração de um produto terminológico. Além disso, deixa o gerenciamento dos dados mais complicado, pois não existe um padrão de entrada e saída definido para os programas. Apoiado nos pressupostos da Teoria Comunicativa da Terminologia (TCT), este trabalho apresenta a proposta de desenvolvimento e avaliação do e- Termos, um Ambiente ColaborativoWeb composto por seis módulos de trabalho bem definidos, cujo propósito é automatizar as tarefas de gestão e criação de produtos terminológicos. Cada módulo do e-Termos possui a responsabilidade de abrigar tarefas inerentes ao processo de criação das terminologias, sendo atreladas a eles diferentes ferramentas de apoio lingüístico, que possuem a função de dar suporte às atividades de Processamento de Língua Natural envolvidas nesse processo. Além delas, há também ferramentas colaborativas, designadas para dar apoio às necessidades comunicacionais e de interação da equipe de trabalho. Particularmente com relação ao processo de avaliação proposto, uma de suas características é a capacidade de ser executado em um tempo curto, viabilizando a avaliação controlada de vários grupos, mas executada no ambiente de trabalho do público alvo. As principais contribuições desta pesquisa são o aspecto colaborativo instanciado na prática terminológica, a criação flexível da Ficha Terminológica, a possibilidade didática de uso para o ensino de terminologia, lexicografia e tradução e o processo de avaliação para sistemas colaborativos desenvolvido para o e-Termos, que combina Cenários de Uso e um Questionário de Pesquisa. Utilizando tecnologias Web e da área de Computer Supported Collaborative Work (CSCW) para o desenvolvimento da sua arquitetura computacional colaborativa, o e-Termos apresenta-se como um ambiente inovador para a pesquisa terminolóogica assistida por computador, pois automatiza um método prático que exp~oe os postulados da terminologia de orientação descritiva e evidencia todas as etapas do processo de criação de produtos terminológicos com o inédito diferencial colaborativo. Para certificar este êxito, o e-Termos tem recebido um número crescente de novas propostas de projeto, tendo até Agosto de 2009 mais de 130 usuários cadastrados, alocados em 68 diferentes projetos terminológicos / In one of its definitions, Terminology represents the set of principles and methods adopted in the creation and management of terminological products as glossaries and dictionaries of terms. A systematization of these methods includes the application of specific computational tools, compatible with terminological tasks, which contribute to developing such products and disseminating expert knowledge. However, especially in Brazil, the combination of Terminology and Computer Science is still incipient, and to perform the tasks of a terminological work it is typical to employ several nonspecialized tools, which make terminologists\' work very time-consuming, since it is usually carried out by a multidisciplinary team that should have access, all the time, to the latest versions of the various stages of the generation of a terminological product. Moreover, it makes data management more complex, because there is no input/output standard defined for programs. Based on the presuppositions of the Communicative Theory of Terminology (CTT), this thesis proposes the development and evaluation of e-Termos, a Web Collaborative Environment composed of six well-defined working modules, whose purpose is to automatize tasks for creating and managing terminological products. Each module in e- Termos is responsible for tasks inherent to the process of creating terminologies. Linked to these modules, there are different linguistic support tools that assist the Natural Language Processing activities included in the process. Besides them, there are also collaborative tools for supporting the communication and interaction needs of team members. As far as the proposed evaluation process is concerned, one of its features is that it can be run in a short time, making viable a controlled evaluation of several groups that is, however, run in the work environment of the target audience. The main contributions of this research are the collaborative aspect instantiated in terminological practice, the exible creation of Terminological Records, the possibility of being used for teaching terminology, lexicography and translation, and the evaluation of collaborative systems developed for e-Termos, which combines Scenario-based Evaluations and Surveys. Using Web technologies and Computer Supported Collaborative Work (CSCW) to develop its collaborative computational architecture, e-Termos is an innovative environment for computer-assisted terminological research, since it automatizes a useful method that represents the postulates of descriptive terminology and highlights all stages of the process of creating terminological products with the unprecedented collaborative differential. Confirming its success, e-Termos has been receiving a growing number of new project proposals, and in August 2009 has more than 130 registered users in 68 different terminological projects

Tendo em vista que as unidades de conhecimento especializado (UCEs) formam parte de um universo dinâmico, no panorama das inovações científico-tecnológicas, e que são fundamentais para a comunicação especializada, o presente trabalho, de viés lingüístico/comunicativo, tem por objetivo a sistematização, organização e estruturação do vocabulário da Genética Molecular. Para o empreendimento de tal tarefa, foram necessárias as seguintes etapas: elaboração de um corpus de pesquisa, formado por materiais autênticos que refletissem a área com maior correção; extração das unidades terminológicas representativas do domínio, baseada em critérios lingüísticos, pragmáticos e tipográficos como: caráter morfológico (com significado especializado no campo de conhecimento), condicionamentos sintagmáticos (coocorrência e comutação), grau de coesão e fixação sintática, proximidade de glosas explicativas, grau de lexicalização do termo, relação unívoca com o conceito especializado que designam (monossemia), artifícios tipográficos, análise contextual, seleção dos tipos de documentação adequados e também verificação das particularidades estilísticas dos diferentes níveis de linguagem; análise da constituição morfossintática das unidades elencadas, por meio da investigação de seus formantes e de suas características sintáticas, bem como de seu funcionamento em contexto, exame que apresentou características bastante interessantes ? prefixos (bio-) e sufixos (-oma) caracterizando a área, presença marcante de formantes de língua geral (-agem, -ção, - mento) na nomeação de métodos e técnicas de trabalho, predominância de composições sintagmáticas (com 69% das formações) e preponderância de formantes greco-latinos nas derivações e composições cultas; e, finalmente, a elaboração de uma estrutura de conceitos que evidenciasse as relações de significação que se estabelecem entre os conceitos da área, trabalho para o qual em muito contribuiu o conhecimento dos formantes das unidades terminológicas, já que os mesmos podem traduzir-se em pistas para a adequada alocação de um termo em determinado campo semântico. Por fim, este trabalho pretende expandir-se, a posteriori, em forma de obra de referência para alunos e pesquisadores da Genética Molecular, cooperando com a ciência em sua aprendizagem e divulgação. / Taking into consideration that the units of specialized knowledge take part of a dynamic universe, in the scenery of the scientific innovations, and that they are basic for the specialized communication, the present work, in the fields of communicative/linguistic, has as main objective the systematization, organization and structuration of the vocabulary of the Molecular Genetics. To undertake such task, the following stages were necessary: elaboration of a corpus of research, formed by authentic material that reflected the area with larger correction; removal of the representative terminological units of the domain, based on linguistic, pragmatic and typographical criteria as: morphologic character (with specialized meaning inside the knowledge field), syntactic conditioning (coherence and the commutation), degree of cohesion and syntactic fixation of the terms, proximity of explanatory comments, degree of lexicalization of the term, univocal relation with the specialized concept that is assigned (monosomy), typographical artifices, contextual analysis, election of adequate types of documentation and also verification of precise statistics of the different levels of language; analysis of the morphosyntactic constitution of the chosen units, through the inquiry of its content and its syntactic characteristics, as well as of its functioning in context, examination that presented interesting characteristics - prefixes (bio-) and suffixes (- oma) characterizing the area, notable presence in the composition of general language (- agem, - ção, - mento) in the nomination of methods and techniques of work, predominance of syntagmatic compositions (with 69% of the formations) and superiority of composition Greek-Latin in the derivations and cultured compositions; and finally, the elaboration of a structure of concepts that could evidence the meaning relations that were established between the concepts of the area, work that contributed to the knowledge of the composition of the terminological units, since the same ones can be expressed in instructions for the correct allocation of a term in a specific semantic field. Finally, this work is intended to be extended, a posteriori, in form of reference for pupils and researchers of Molecular Genetics, cooperating with science in its learning and spreading.

Malgré l’importance d'une nomenclature internationale, le domaine de la chimie souffre encore de quelques problèmes linguistiques, liés notamment à ses unités terminologiques simples et complexes, pouvant gêner la communication scientifique. L’arabe ne fait pas exception, d’autant plus que sa graphie agglutinante et, en général, non-voyellée, pose d’énormesproblèmes d’ambiguïté. A cela s’ajoute l’emploi récurrent d’emprunts. La question est de savoir comment représenter les unités terminologiques simples et complexes de cette langue spécialisée. En d’autres termes, formaliser les caractéristiques terminologiques en étudiant les mécanismes de la construction morphosyntaxique des termes de la chimie en arabe. Cette étude devrait aboutir à la mise en place d’un outil de désambigüisation sémantique qui vise à constituer un outil d’extraction des termes de la chimie en arabe et de leurs relations. Une recherche pertinente en arabe passant obligatoirement par un système automatisé du traitement de la langue ; le traitement automatiquement des corpus écrits en arabe ne pouvant se faire sansanalyse linguistique ; cette analyse linguistique, plus précisément, cette étude terminologique, est la base pour la construction des règles d’une grammaire d’identification afin de déterminer les termes de la chimie en arabe. La construction de cette grammaire d’identification nécessite la modélisation des patrons morphosyntaxiques à partir de leur observation en corpus etdébouche sur la définition de règles de grammaire et de contraintes. / Despite the importance of an international nomenclature, the field of chemistry still suffers from some linguistic problems, linked in particular to its simple and complex terminological units, which can hinder scientific communication. Arabic is no exception, especially since its agglutinating spelling and, in general, not vowelized, may lead to enormous ambiguity's problems. This is in addition to the recurring use of borrowings. The problematic is how to represent the simple and complex terminological units of this specialized language. In other words, formalize the terminological characteristics by studying the mechanisms of themorphosyntactic construction of the chemistry' terms in Arabic. This study should lead to the establishment of a semantic-disambiguation tool that aims to create a tool for extracting the terms of Arabic chemistry and their relationships. A relevant search in Arabic cannot be done without an automated system of language processing; this automatic processing of corpuswritten in Arabic cannot be done without a language analysis; this linguistic analysis, more exactly, this terminology study, is the basis to build the rules of an identification grammar in order to identify the chemistry's terms in Arabic. The construction of this identification grammar requires modelling of morphosyntactic patterns from their observation in corpus and leads to the definition of rules of grammar and constraints.

<p>The concept of equivalence has for many years attracted attention of researchers in variousdisciplines: from mathematics to philosophy to translation theory to terminology. This thesisintends to survey the concept of equivalence in three subject fields all of which focus onlanguages and communication, namely: translation theory, lexicography and terminology. Thepurpose of the paper is twofold: to investigate the theoretical grounds of equivalence in thesethree disciplines and to survey the methods and practices of establishing equivalence inmultilingual terminology work. The results of the theoretical investigation are summed up onthe basis of the terminological concept analysis. Four concepts systems are structured andpresented in the form of concept diagrams (two for translation theory, one for lexicography andone for terminology). The concept systems give an overview of the current understanding ofequivalence in the three subject fields and expose the relations between equivalence and anumber of related concepts. The central theoretical question of the thesis whether equivalencecould be considered the same concept in all three disciplines is answered on the basis of theresults of the terminological concept analysis. The empirical investigation is carried out in theform of case studies in the frame of multilingual terminology work. It focuses on the problemsof establishing equivalence, of determining the degree of equivalence as well as on the methodsand practices of presenting equivalents in various terminological resources.</p>

Il presente lavoro si inserisce nel filone degli studi terminologici francesi con l’analisi della terminologia della moda, di cui è indagato, quale campo di ricerca privilegiato, il settore del vêtement d’extérieur. Viene adottato un modello descrittivo ampio, fondato sulla riconciliazione teorica e metodologica tra diacronia e sincronia e su un approccio interdisciplinare alla disciplina terminologica. Lo studio è articolato in due parti: la prima sezione è dedicata alla ricostruzione della terminologia del vêtement d’extérieur in diacronia. Dopo una premessa metodologica circa la redazione delle schede terminologiche, è tracciato il percorso che conduce, dal ristretto nucleo di unità terminologiche in antico francese, alla complessa rete lessicale nel francese contemporaneo. Nella seconda sezione, sono approfondite le dimensioni applicate, che vanno dall’elaborazione informatica di ontoterminologie allo studio della variazione terminologica in contesti professionali eterogenei, fino alla rassegna di prodotti lessicografici e terminografici della moda, in contesti di comunicazione monolingue e plurilingue. Infine, dopo aver enucleato l’approccio alla terminologia, si ripercorrono i risultati salienti della ricerca e si delineano ulteriori prospettive di indagine. / This work analyses the French terminology of fashion, particularly the field of the outerwear, within the framework of French terminological research. A broad descriptive model is adopted, based on the theoretical and methodological reconciliation between diachrony and synchrony, as well as on an interdisciplinary approach to terminology. The study is divided into two parts: the former is devoted to the historical reconstruction of the outerwear terminology. After a methodological introduction about term records, we trace the path leading from the small group of terminological units in Old French to the complex lexical network in contemporary French. In the latter section, the applied dimensions are explored, including the construction of “ontoterminologies”, the study of terminology variation in heterogeneous professional contexts, and the list of lexicographical and terminographic resources for fashion, both in monolingual and multilingual communication. Finally, the description of the approach to terminology is followed by the main results of the research and by further perspectives of study.

Ce travail porte sur la construction d’un corpus étalon pour l’évaluation automatisée des extracteurs de termes. Ces programmes informatiques, conçus pour extraire automatiquement les termes contenus dans un corpus, sont utilisés dans différentes applications, telles que la terminographie, la traduction, la recherche d’information, l’indexation, etc. Ainsi, leur évaluation doit être faite en fonction d’une application précise. Une façon d’évaluer les extracteurs consiste à annoter toutes les occurrences des termes dans un corpus, ce qui nécessite un protocole de repérage et de découpage des unités terminologiques. À notre connaissance, il n’existe pas de corpus annoté bien documenté pour l’évaluation des extracteurs. Ce travail vise à construire un tel corpus et à décrire les problèmes qui doivent être abordés pour y parvenir. Le corpus étalon que nous proposons est un corpus entièrement annoté, construit en fonction d’une application précise, à savoir la compilation d’un dictionnaire spécialisé de la mécanique automobile. Ce corpus rend compte de la variété des réalisations des termes en contexte. Les termes sont sélectionnés en fonction de critères précis liés à l’application, ainsi qu’à certaines propriétés formelles, linguistiques et conceptuelles des termes et des variantes terminologiques. Pour évaluer un extracteur au moyen de ce corpus, il suffit d’extraire toutes les unités terminologiques du corpus et de comparer, au moyen de métriques, cette liste à la sortie de l’extracteur. On peut aussi créer une liste de référence sur mesure en extrayant des sous-ensembles de termes en fonction de différents critères. Ce travail permet une évaluation automatique des extracteurs qui tient compte du rôle de l’application. Cette évaluation étant reproductible, elle peut servir non seulement à mesurer la qualité d’un extracteur, mais à comparer différents extracteurs et à améliorer les techniques d’extraction. / We describe a methodology for constructing a gold standard for the automatic evaluation of term extractors. These programs, designed to automatically extract specialized terms from a corpus, are used in various settings, including terminology work, translation, information retrieval, indexing, etc. Thus, the evaluation of term extractors must be carried out in accordance with a specific application. One way of evaluating term extractors is to construct a corpus in which all term occurrences have been annotated. This involves establishing a protocol for term selection and term boundary identification. To our knowledge, no well-documented annotated corpus is available for the evaluation of term extractors. This contribution aims to build such a corpus and describe what issues must be dealt with in the process. The gold standard we propose is a fully annotated corpus, constructed in accordance with a specific terminological setting, namely the compilation of a specialized dictionary of automotive mechanics. This annotated corpus accounts for the wide variety of realizations of terms in context. Terms are selected in accordance with specific criteria pertaining to the terminological setting as well as formal, linguistic and conceptual properties of terms and term variations. To evaluate a term extractor, a list of all the terminological units in the corpus is extracted and compared to the output of the term extractor, using a set of metrics to assess its performance. Subsets of terminological units may also be extracted, providing a level of customization. This allows an automatic and application-driven evaluation of term extractors. Due to its reusability, it can serve not only to assess the performance of a particular extractor, but also to compare different extractors and fine-tune extraction techniques.

A l’heure actuelle, la problématique de en vigueur est celle de la transition énergétique, des « smart cities », des objets connectés, des énergies renouvelables. Nous avons souhaité créer ce dictionnaire dans le but d’apporter des réponses concrètes aux multiples défis liés à ce secteur. L’objectif était de présenter l’utilisation de certains outils qu’utilise le traducteur ou le linguiste pour créer un dictionnaire bilingue disponible en ligne. Néanmoins, face à la multitude de logiciels présents sur le marché, nous avons fait un choix pour délimiter la phase expérimentale. Nous avons opté entre autres pour SDL Studio Trados 2011, Trados 7 Freelance, TermoStat, TerMine, Multiterm. Nous avons nourri notre réflexion des théories et des discours des linguistes de renom, notamment Wüster, Gouadec ou Nolet. Nous avons également opté pour une méthode à la fois explicative et expérimentale. Notre corpus de 130 pages nous a permis d’extraire en tout plus de 3000 termes sur deux logiciels différents. Les logiciels se sont avérés restrictifs en fonction du volume du projet et des spécificités recherchées. Il s’est avéré que l’automatisation de l’analyse du corpus permettait certes de gagner du temps, mais le choix des termes pouvait être remis en question. We wanted to create this dictionary in order to provide concrete answers to some challenges faced in this sector. The aim was to show some tools used by the translator or linguist to create a bilingual dictionary available online. Nevertheless, given the multitude of software in the market, we have decided to delimit the experimental phase. We opted for among other SDL Trados Studio 2011, Trados 7 Freelance, TermoStat, TerMine and Multiterm. The theories and books of renowned linguists, including Wüster, Gouadec or Nolet, inspired our thoughts. We also opted for a method that is both explanatory and experimental. Our corpus of 130 pages has allowed us to extract a total of over 3,000 terms on two different tools. Software proved to be restrictive depending on the volume of the project or even the editor of the Software. It turned out that the automation of the corpus analysis certainly helped to save time, but the choice of terms could be questioned. Com esse referencial acredita-se ser possível assegurar a efetiva comunicação entre os Sistemas de Recuperação de Informação e os usuários, sendo o bibliotecário o mediador do processo comunicativo que tem origem no autor do texto indexado. Its is backed by the underlying assumptions of the Theory of Enunciation, of the Communicative Theory of Terminology and of the Socioterminology. It is believed that, in this theoretical framework, it is possible to ensure effective communication between the Information Retrieval Systems and users, being the librarian the mediator of communicative process originated in the author of the indexed text. The research draws from resources of Terminography and Corpus Linguistics in order to operationalize the process of collecting, managing and storing a huge amount of information of a given knowledge field.

The main terms were selected and assessed by a team of textile teachers and students with the objective to be structured as a conceptual body of information on the following sub-areas of clothing terminology: materials (fabrics and trimmings) and products (garments). This research comprises three main steps: (a) characterization and understanding of the technical vocabulary in the clothing area as well as the identification of a pedagogic demand for a dictionary on clothing terminology, clearly expressed by the textile lecturers and students involved in the assessment of the need and validation of this project development; (b) a proposal for a specific methodology for the compilation of the dictionary which could help the communication process in the lecturing of clothing terminology and (c) based on the terminological principles and the technique of focal groups the dictionary was assessed. The technique of focal groups was used in the first step. In the second step the technique used was that of the terminological methodology adapted to the teaching approach in the Textile Course. In the third step the technique of focal groups was again utilized. It was observed that the main concern of lecturers and students is the lack of a standardized vocabulary, which renders difficult the communication process in both the teaching and learning activities as well as the professional ones in the textile industries. Various aspects, which can overlap, cause this lack of standardization. The main ones pointed out by the study team in the focal groups are: usage of regional words or expressions, usage of foreign words or expressions, analogies, and the low level of formal education, mainly among the industry workers. Another aspect to be considered is the lack of textile literature written in the Portuguese language of Brazil. This evidence shows the importance of a clothing terminology dictionary which will benefit both the education and professional activties in this field of knowledge. This dictionary will also give a substantial contribution to terminological standardization in our research field. With view to fulfill this demand, a dictionary of clothing terminology was compiled with 760 main entries, according to the modern practice in terminology with the necessary modifications concerning our needs. The result of the dictionary assessment was very assertive regarding its structure, contents and possible use in various contexts. The team work emphasized their contribution to the standardization process of the terms that proved to be one of the most important and difficult aspects of this researh work. The significance of this structured terminological dictionary was confirmed by the focal group participants relating to its use for teaching and learning activities, as a reference book, as a source of technical information and also as a tool for pedagogic studies and planning, as well as a significant collaboration to the pedagogic practices in the textile engineering course at University or any other educational institution. Besides, this dictionary can also be used to supply information within the textile field. We are aware that the present work will not exhaust the objectives of this research due to its limitations in opposition to the vast complexity demanded by the compilation of a complete work including all the areas and sub-areas of textile engineering. However, it is an important source for dissemination of concepts on the field of clothing terminology and a tool to effective standardization of the terms used in this subject field / Esta pesquisa trata do vocabul?rio t?cnico t?xtil, especialmente na ?rea do vestu?rio, utilizado como instrumento did?tico no processo ensino-aprendizagem do curso de Engenharia T?xtil, da Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Norte. Esse vocabul?rio foi criteriosamente examinado com o prop?sito de ser conceituado e contextualizado, nas sub?reas do vestu?rio, materiais (tecidos e aviamentos) e produtos (pe?as do vestu?rio), e, para isso, propomos um dicion?rio terminol?gico, justificado e avaliado por professores e alunos. Assim, a pesquisa comporta tr?s etapas principais: (a) caracteriza??o da percep??o do vocabul?rio t?cnico da ?rea do vestu?rio, e identifica??o de uma demanda pedag?gica formulada por professores e alunos da ?rea t?xtil: a necessidade de um dicion?rio t?cnico do vestu?rio; (b) proposta de uma metodologia, e elabora??o de um produto concreto, para suprir essa demanda: um dicion?rio de terminologia do vestu?rio; (c) avalia??o desse produto por professores e alunos da ?rea. Aplicamos a abordagem qualitativa, fundamentada nos princ?pios Terminologia e a na t?cnica de Grupo Focal. Para a primeira etapa, utilizamos a t?cnica dos grupos focais. Na segunda etapa, utilizamos a metodologia terminol?gica, adaptada ? nossa realidade de ensino. E na execu??o da terceira etapa, recorremos, tamb?m, ? t?cnica dos grupos focais. Constatamos que a principal preocupa??o de professores e alunos converge para a falta de padroniza??o do vocabul?rio, que dificulta a comunica??o, tanto no processo ensino-aprendizagem quanto nas atividades profissionais. As causas da falta de padroniza??o s?o variadas e se sobrep?em, mas foram apontadas entre as principais: os regionalismos, o uso de analogias, os estrangeirismos e a baixa escolaridade. Quanto ? necessidade de um dicion?rio de terminologia do vestu?rio, ficou evidenciada a falta de material bibliogr?fico em portugu?s do Brasil. Tanto professores como alunos mencionaram, repetidamente, a escassez de material t?cnico. Nesse sentido, um dicion?rio t?cnico, adaptado ? nossa realidade, pode representar uma contribui??o substancial para a normaliza??o terminol?gica. Para atender a essa demanda, elaboramos um dicion?rio de terminologia do vestu?rio, com 760 entradas, constru?do conforme os procedimentos da moderna terminologia com os necess?rios ajustes. A avalia??o do dicion?rio foi bastante positiva no que se refere ? sua estrutura, conte?do e usos poss?veis em diversos contextos. Os participantes salientaram sua contribui??o para a padroniza??o do vocabul?rio que, conforme observado se configurava num dos principais problemas. Professores e alunos destacaram sua utilidade para o ensino-aprendizagem, como obra de refer?ncia, fonte de informa??es t?cnicas e instrumento de estudo e planejamento did?tico. Acreditamos que, atrav?s da cria??o do dicion?rio de terminologia do vestu?rio, estamos colaborando de maneira significativa para as pr?ticas pedag?gicas no curso de Engenharia T?xtil. H? ainda, a expectativa de que esse instrumento possa ser ?til ?s demais ?reas t?xtil. Com este trabalho, n?o pretendemos exaurir a pesquisa. Temos consci?ncia de suas limita??es, em contraposi??o ? amplitude e complexidade que exigiria um trabalho terminol?gico que inclu?sse todas as ?reas e sub?reas do curso de Engenharia T?xtil. No entanto, temos a convic??o de que ele poder? servir como uma importante fonte para dissemina??o de conceitos sobre a ?rea do vestu?rio, e, acreditamos, colaborar para a efetiva??o da padroniza??o da terminologia utilizada nessa ?rea
