Aim This study looks at how mobile applications have changed the situation for customer service employees in Sweden. Background In just a few years, mobile applications have changed our way of working. New electronic tools have been developed and the mobile applications replace manual labour as well as paper documents. Methodolody The study relies on data collection from qualitative interviews conducted with customer service employees in Sweden. The empiricism of the interviews has been thematically analyzed. Results The results of the study show that customer service employees work more independently now than before and that the accessibility of work-related information has improved substantially and become more efficient. Conclusion Thanks to the accessibility improvement and the enhanced information density, the possibility of offering an improved customer experience has increased. The results also show the importance of technology to the customer service employees of today. / Syfte Studien syftar till att undersöka hur mobila applikationer har förändrat arbetet för servicemedarbetare i Sverige. Bakgrund På några få år har mobila applikationer förändrat vårat sätt att arbeta. Nya hjälpmedel och arbetsredskap har tagits fram och de mobila applikationerna ersätter både manuella moment och fysiska dokument. Metod Studien bygger på datainsamling från servicemedarbetare i Sverige med hjälp av kvalitativa intervjuer. Empirin från intervjuerna har sammanställts och tematiskt analyserats. Resultat Resultatet av undersökningen visar på att servicemedarbetarna arbetar mer självständigt nu än innan och att möjligheten till att ta del av arbetsrelaterad information har blivit mycket bättre och effektivare. Slutsats Tack vare att informationen blivit mer lättillgänglig och innehållsrik har också möjligheten att ge bättre kundservice ökat. Resultatet pekar också på hur viktig tekniken är för servicemedarbetarna idag.

Att leda från hemmet: En kvalitativ studie om hur ledarskapet på Siemens påverkades av coronaviruset

Syftet med studien är att bidra med kunskap kring om fysisk distans påverkar valet av ledarskapsstil när Siemens ställer om från kontorsbaserad verksamhet till hemarbetsbaserad verksamhet. Följande frågeställningar ligger till grund för att besvara studiens syfte: Har kontextförändring en signifikant påverkan på interaktionen mellan ledare och följare? Finns det aspekter av ledarskapet som blir extra framträdande som följd av kontextförändringen där distansarbete nu är normen? Kan man utifrån Full Range Leadership-modellen eller via ledarskapsstilarna ideologisk och pragmatisk, autentisk, betjänande, etisk, delad/distribuerad samt spirituell finna grund för att kontextförändringen ger upphov till förändring av ledarskapsstil? I uppsatsen antas en kvalitativ undersökningsansats, där fallet Siemens används för datainsamling i syfte att undersöka kontextens (dvs. distansarbetets) betydelse och påverkan på ledarskapet för bolaget (en fallstudie). Basen för datainsamlingen var sex stycken intervjuer av semi-strukturerad karaktär. Situationen är avgörande för var tonvikten i ledarskapet ligger, men jag vill inte påstå att ledarskapsstilen skiftar från en till en annan som en effekt av förändring i kontext. Empirin pekar istället på att det behövs en annan stil än de i FRLM-modellen. Då denna modell förutsätter ledarskap utan fysisk distans är den inte tillräcklig för att beskriva en lämplig ledarskapsstil för distansarbete. Jag lyfter därför fram en ny sammansättning egenskaper/beteenden som är bättre lämpade för distansarbete. Denna sammansättning består av: karisma, förmåga att motivera, intellektuell stimulans, individuell hänsyn, vara sig själv, självmedvetenhet och delat ledarskap. / The purpose of this paper is to highlight and develop knowledge on how physical distance affects leadership practice at Siemens when the organization changes from an office-based environment to a remote work environment. The following questions are the foundation in terms of answering the purpose: Do the change in context and the change to a remote work climate significantly affect the interaction between leader and follower? Are there aspects of leadership that get special attention as consequence of the context change? Is it possible through the Full Range Leadership Modell or through ideological and pragmatic, authentic, servant, ethical, shared/distributed or spiritual leadership styles to find a connection between change in context and leadership style? This study has a qualitative approach and uses Siemens as the base for the analysis in order to evaluate the contextual significance for the leadership within the company. The context is vital in terms of where in the leadership the focus is. But I won’t go as far as to suggest that a change in context by default changes the leadership style from one to another. The data gathered suggests that there is need of a new leadership style, that differs from those in the FRLM-model. Since that model rests on the assumption that there is no physical distance between leader and follower, it is not sufficient to point towards a fitting leadership style for remote working. Therefore, I bring forward a new set of skills/behaviors which are better suited for leading over a distance. These are: charisma, the ability to motivate, intellectual stimuli, individual consideration, be yourself, self-awareness and shared leadership.

Digitaliseringens paradox : Om myndighetsarkivens tillgänglighet idag och i framtiden / The Digitalization Paradox : Access to Government Archives Today and Tomorrow

Introduction. In this thesis we explore how access to government agencies' public records are affected by the changes of the digital age. Post-custodialism is the theory used to examine the different approaches government agencies take to ensure access and long-term preservation of their digital records. Method. Our material consists of the Official Report of the Swedish Government regarding archives, finalized in 2019, and the referral responses by the government agencies, as well as qualitative semi-structured interviews with archivists from eight different government agencies. Transcripts from the interviews and the official reports formed the data of analysis. Analysis. Qualitative and comparative methods were used to analyze the material. Post-custodial theory was also applied to the material. Results. Government archives have had varied success in adapting to the digital age. This can be attributed to a lack of common strategies on how to implement digital archives in the public sector as well as a lack of resources for the archival sector in general. The respondents showed a high awareness of the need to implement changes in order to ensure the long-term preservation of and access to their digital records, and expressed the need for more commonly developed solutions for the growing number of digital records created in today’s e-governments. Conclusion. The transition from custodial to post-custodial is well under way for the archives. The lack of resources is however a big problem, and it is keeping solutions that could help the archives and government administration as a whole from being implemented. Drawing on these results we argue that for archives to survive and flourish in this new age, more funding is needed to better implement common solutions to ensure that the national cultural heritage of the digital age survives. This is a two-year master's thesis in Archival Science.

The theoretical part contains literature searches in the field of digitalization of the recruitment process of personnel agencies through strategic management and a description of selected analytical-research and evaluation methods used in this area and type of research. The analytical part contains the application of selected analytical-research methods in order to identify key factors for assessing the possibility of digitalizing the local strategy of the Brno branch, whose conclusions enter the COP method for subsequent evaluation. Based on the results obtained, in the design part, a suitable variant of the further direction of the company is chosen and its elaboration into more specific interventions.

Looking at opportunities and difficulties with the use of camera surveillance is important for the futureof this technology and its use by the Swedish police. The purpose of this assignment is therefore toprovide an overview of the opportunities and difficulties encountered by the Swedish police in the useof camera surveillance in their daily work. The society is affected by these cameras, but what does thesociety think about being monitored in public places? Through interviews and a backgroundpresentation of camera surveillance as well as a theoretical approach with a focus on moralizingtechnology, we have analyzed and discussed various opportunities and problems that the policeencounter. According to studies, a large majority is in favor of camera surveillance, yet there are strictlaws and regulations governing their use. Replacing and simplifying laws will bring responsibility anddecisions closer to the police, opening up possibilities such as the strengthening of witness statementsand a better overview of crime sites, while fear that the technology does not reflect the reality of thesituation. The material provided by the camera surveillance also provides an objective overview whichwould not otherwise have been possible, while police surveillance has limitations. / Att titta på möjligheter och svårigheter med användandet av kamerabevakning är viktigt för framtideninom denna teknologi och dess användning av polisen. Syftet med denna uppsats är att ge en överblickav de möjligheter och svårigheter som svenska polisen stöter på gällande användandet avkamerabevakning i sitt arbete. Allmänheten påverkas av dessa kameror, men vad tycker egentligenallmänheten om att bli övervakad på allmänna platser? Genom en presentation av förutsättningar förkamerabevakning och intervjuer samt ett teoretiskt synsätt med fokus på moralisering av teknologi, harvi analyserat och diskuterat olika möjligheter och problem som polisen stöter på. Enligt andra studierär en stor majoritet positivt inställda till kamerabevakning, trots detta finns det stränga lagar och reglergällande användning av dessa. I samband med att lagar ersätts och förenklas flyttas ansvaret ochbesluten närmare polisens verksamhet vilket öppnat upp för möjligheter som bland annat stärkandet avvittnesutsagor och en bättre överblick av brottsplatser samtidigt som en rädsla finns för att teknikeninte speglar den verklighetsbild som är korrekt. Materialet som kamerabevakningen tillför ger även enobjektiv överblick som annars inte hade varit möjlig, samtidigt som polisens kamerabevakning harbegränsningar.

Research Purpose: The purpose of this paper is to identify the opportunities that COVID-19 crisis has created for SMEs, in particular those involving digital technologies. I also describe and how SMEs can improve their functionality, efficiency accessibility and sales by using these technologies for internationalization. Research Questions:  What international business opportunities do digitized SME’s find in the covid-19 lockdown? Methodology: This study is followed by qualitative research and inductive approach. The data collection was done by semi-structured online interviews. Ten people running small and medium-sized businesses are the convenience sample of the study. Findings: For the advancement of several digital platforms, SMEs are continuing their international operations during COVID 19 pandemic. Many SMEs forced to go online during the pandemic, which also helps them become global players. By utilizing social media, online payment platforms, online e-commerce marketplaces, regular SMEs are now converting as digital businesses. By adopting digital technology, SMEs are now able to work smoother than before by having new functionality, efficiency and accessibility. SMEs that involved with the digital business from long ago are also experiencing noticeable growth during the pandemic. On the other hand, some SMEs are also suffering as their overall business operation get interrupted by the pandemic.   Research Limitations: The total number of interviewed respondents was only 10 due to the limitation of time scope and all of the interview done online. A larger study sample with physical interview are a possible direction of future work.

The digitalization process in healthcare services has gained momentum nowadays. This study aims to explore how digitalization in the healthcare sector is perceived by doctors and patients. In addition, our thesis objective is to make a comparison between 4 countries with different levels of digitalization. These countries are Egypt, Turkey, Italy, and Sweden.  In our thesis, we conducted an exploratory study depending on both qualitative and quantitative data with the purpose of investigating doctors and patients’ perspectives.  Based on the results of our study we can conclude that Sweden might be considered the most digitalized country out of the four studied countries while Egypt might be addressed as the least digitalized country. For Italy and Turkey, many steps were taken towards digitalization, however, the digitalization process still needs to be further developed. Patients from the four countries ensured the reliability and effectiveness of the digital tools in healthcare. Nevertheless, concerns and questions regarding privacy and data security have been highlighted in our research.  Regarding Covid-19, doctors and patients from all the four countries agreed on the fact that the digital healthcare system markedly improved, and the importance of using digital tools has been highlighted during the pandemic.

Forskningsfrågor:- Hur upplevs förändringen av revisionsprocessen genom den tekniska utvecklingen avseende IT-baserade revisionssystem?- Hur uppfattas skärningspunkten mellan IT- och revisionsbranschen? Syfte:Syftet med studien är beskriva hur systemleverantörer respektive revisorer upplever den teknologiska förändringen av revisionsprocessen genom IT-baserade revisionssystem. Vidare ämnar studien att undersöka hur skärningspunkten mellan IT- och revisionsbranschen uppfattas. Metod:För att besvara studiens frågeställning och uppnå syftet används en deduktiv ansats med en kvalitativ metod i form av semistrukturerade intervjuer. Intervjuerna utfördes med både revisorer och systemutvecklare från Deskjockeys, PwC, KPMG, Emfevid AB och Hogia. För att analysera det empiriska materialet med den teoretiska referensramen användes en tematisk analysmetod med ett deduktivt förhållningssätt. Slutsats:Den främsta förändringen inom revisionsprocessen var när det nya ramverket ISA infördes. De IT-baserade revisionssystemen har förändrat revisionsprocessen gällande planerings- och granskningsfasen genom verktyg för bland annat dataanalys. Arbetet går mot en realtidsbaserad revision med digitala kundplattformar vilket utvecklat nya tjänster inom rådgivning. Även då den tekniska utvecklingen förändrat revisionen upplevs skärningspunkten mellan branscherna inte vara konkurrensmässig. De hämtar snarare inspiration och samarbetar med varandra. De större byråerna utvecklar egna system medan de mindre köper in från systemleverantörer till branschen. Dock krävs innovationer för att systemutvecklarna ska hållas fortsatt konkurrenskraftiga på den svenska marknaden. / Research question:- How is the change in the audit process experienced through the technical development of audit systems?- How perceives the intersection between the IT-and audit industry? Purpose:The purpose of the study is to investigate how auditors and system developers apprehending changes in the auditing process. Further how they perceive the intersection between the IT-and audit industry. Method:To answer the research question the interviews were conducted with auditors and software developers from Deskjockeys, PwC, KPMG, Emfevid AB and Hogia. The study is based on a deductive approach and the method that is used to analyse the theoretical and empirical material is a thematic analysis. Conclusion:The prime changes with IT-based auditing systems is in the phases of planning and review. The auditing changed focus to review the client's internalcontrol systems when the framework switched from RS to ISA. The profession shifts towards an real- time economy based on digital information that develops the advisory service. The intersection between the IT- and audit industry is not perceived to be competitive, they rather draw inspiration and cooperate with each other. The larger audit agencies develop their own systems while smaller ones purchase systems from system vendors to the industry. Although there's a need of innovations from the systemdevelopers to be continued competitive on the swedish market.
