It is regarded as even more ambitious when the celebrations intend to create or reinforce identity bonds inside of a political community. The participation of Ceará in The Confederation of the Equator was suitable as source of creation to that moment. Memories of that political event occurred in 1824 and it has been resumed in the first years of Proclamation of Republic of Brazil, by means of some political actions of memory, several readings and interpretations had been formulated from that event. The year of 1924 is marked by the turn of the century. A century later what possibly remains as vestige of political fights in those first moments of Brazil’s post-independence? Which characters have been part of The Confederation of the Equator in Ceará and have been recognized as cearense heroes? Which gaps had been used deliberately to eternize those event memories? And what about historical production, what is its role in this process? Researching on books, newspapers, magazines, almanacs, and public places intend to elaborate some considerations concerning to this relation between politics and prior memories.

Novos temas e preocupações para o ensino, novas sedes e novas propostas educacionais marcam a entrada do Colégio no novo milênio

Jensen, Monika, Staaf, Anna January 2017 (has links)
The aim of this study was to examine preschool teacher ́s thoughts and work with celebrations in the preschool environment. Our hope was to gain insight in the preschool teacher’s daily work with celebrations by asking two main questions; 1) do preschool teachers bring attention to celebrations and how do they motivate their choices 2) If they bring attention to celebrations, how is it manifested. We have chosen a qualitative method when investigating this topic, which involved interviewing six preschool teachers in southern Stockholm. The result of our investigation was analyzed with the help of three theoretical perspectives; 1) the sociocultural perspective, 2) the educational perspective by John Dewey, and 3) the intercultural perspective. The three perspectives also gave us useful theoretical concepts to discuss the results with. From the study we conclude that the preschool teachers do bring attention to celebrations in their daily work, more specifically they include celebrations by letting the children express themselves through dressing up in costumes, dancing, singing, creation and by experiencing traditional food. The central theme used by the teachers was to enable children through activities and social interaction, to participate in the celebrations by their own will and acting.

De l'ode à la pastorale : formes de la célébration politique en France (1549-1572) / From the ode to the pastoral : forms of political celebration in France (1549-1572)

Carrols, Anne 16 December 2014 (has links)
This thesis studies The Pleiade's poetry of political celebration in relation to the epic, with the examples of Deffense as a statement of this project (1549) and Franciade as an incomplete realization of it (1572). The celebration poems are part of this project of a new Aeneid, which removes them from the ephemeral splendour of the celebration which created them in the first place ; these poems fall both within the moment of the festive event and the virtuality of the great work in which they must come to fruition. This great work, seen as a tale of foundation legitimating the hope of an immortal Empire, wants to shape History as well as depict an ideal image of the sovereign and present a poetic construction inserting the culture of Antiquity to the French genius. During Henri II's reign, the poets celebrate the princes as the heroes of the developing epic and explore the forms that this celebration of the Valois monarchy could take. The prophetic furor becomes the privileged statement of political lyricism. Yet, at the end of the 1550s, the formula only creates its own disenchanted repetition, or poets abandon it by ironically pointing out its vacuity. During the decade that follows, while the armed conflict creates historical uncertainty, the celebration poems disguise the princes as shepherds. At the beginning, the pastoral was a variation that could rejuvenate the initial project. It transforms into an alternative to an obsolete heroic model, related with political and poetic values of seduction, appeased gentleness, mannerist refinement in harmony with nature.

The Spirit and the meal : a ritual-liturgical evaluation of charismatic worship

Denny, Lindie January 2013 (has links)
The Spirit tradition is a fairly new tradition with its essential focus on experiencing the Holy Spirit. This tradition has made its latest and most influential appearance during the Azusa street revival in Los Angeles at the start of the 1900s. This has started a new wave or move if you want across the earth andhas made inroads into most other existing traditions. It is a tradition fashioned by the needs of believers and the reality of experiencing the Holy Spirit. Worship is a vital part of any Charismatic church service. Upbeat music with talented bands is up front and ready to lead people into passionate and expressive worship. Their worship stretches further than just music. They attempt to fashion their lives as a worship offering to God. Within the Charismatic tradition, the word Liturgy is unheard of, even though it is part of their service. Part of this worship includes the celebration of Communion. Communion is celebrated all over the world in most Christian churches. It has been one of the most sacred sacraments of the church through the centuries. With it came many feuds over doctrine and challenges regarding the form, meaning, presence, elements and so forth. It has been thecenter of many debates. But it still remains central to any believer. The researcher has looked at the history of the Spirit tradition within chapter 2 with its main focus on liturgical rituals of healing, exorcism and speaking in tongues. These rituals are researched and traced all through history. The rituals are present and active in every era the researcher looked at. The Theology of the spirit tradition was also explored. She then went on to look at the history of the Eucharist. The changes and forms were noted. A deeper understanding of the celebration of the Eucharist was realized and the Theology depicted the differences in opinion. No current day practical theological research is complete without Empirical research. This made the researcher more involved. By participatory observation and questionnaires, essential information was gathered regarding how believers in Charismatic churches appropriate their participation during the celebration of Communion. New insights were gained. Based on this research the researcher came to the conclusion that the Meal-and the Spirit worship traditions can come together in a more meaningful way. The true meaning needs to be taught to believers so that a deeper knowledge of the truth of Communion can be gained. Communion cannot remain watered-down and enter as an afterthought during a service. It has the potential to be an incredible experience by any Christian believer. When the Spirit and the Meal can be brought together in a more meaningful way, it has the potential to become the future of Charismatic worship. This conclusion is worked out in some detail in the final chapter. / Dissertation (MA Theol)--University of Pretoria, 2013. / gm2014 / Practical Theology / unrestricted

SCENE DI RE E DI PATRIOTI. SPIRITI LIBERTARI E POTERE IMPERIALE NELLA RITUALITA' E NELLA CULTURA TEATRALE A MILANO NEL RISORGIMENTO

BERTE', STEFANIA 08 March 2016 (has links)
In the Risorgimento some cultural factors contributed to the definition of the idea of national identity: readings that inspired patriots, writings they printed, symbols and myths that became part of their language, theatrical culture and theatricality and celebrations and rituals, considered like reason of aggregation, participation and transmission of civil virtues. This thesis examines relationships between rituals, theatre and libertarian feelings and civil values of the Risorgimento, in Milan, from 1815 to 1859.
