Mit der Digitalisierung von Büchern scheint sich ein europäischer Traum zu erfüllen, ein Traum der unkomplizierten Vernetzung des Wissens und ein Traum der Vollständigkeit des Zugriffs. Im Schlaraffenland der durchgescannten Bücherwelt kann ich auf alle gewünschten Texte mit einem Schlage zugreifen; damit habe ich auch jeden sachlich benachbarten Text- oder ein Archivdokument oder ein Museumsstück - in eben derselben Qualität, aus welchem Jahrhundert auch immer. Alle interessierten Forscher können, sobald diese Vision technisch umgesetzt sein wird, im Internet ohne Rücksicht auf lokale Bibliotheksbestände und deren Zugänglichkeitsbedingungen arbeiten. Viele werden es tun, weil sie schon lange einen unkomplizierten Zugriff erhoffen. Forscherträume werden mit der Digitalisierung wahr.

資訊科技的演進與網際網路的發展,使得知識的生產、保存與傳播,產生了革命性的變化。各類強調多元、即時、便利、互動的全球資訊網,正逐漸成為各級教育機構所倚重的教學資源。在大學教育面臨科技進化、社會變遷等結構性的影響,而必須順應時勢,大幅進行改革之際;大學圖書館自然也必須在資訊服務的方法與模式上,加以因應改進,才能滿足教師與學生在研究、教學的資訊需求。
本研究探討數位圖書館、數位博物館等網路教學資源與網路教學、線上學習之相關議題;並從臺藝大圖書館「數位圖書館暨虛擬藝術館」系統推廣利用的角度,探討大學圖書館配合大學教學與研究所需,整合學習環境、建置網路教學資源系統之可行模式與效益分析,以做為臺藝大後續規劃網路教學資源系統及其他同類型學術機構推動類似計畫之參考。
第一章說明研究動機、目的,並提出研究問題。第二章說明數位圖書館、數位博物館、網路教學的內涵與國內外發展概況,並說明臺藝大圖書館「數位圖書館暨虛擬藝術館」專案計畫發展與系統功能。第三章說明研究方法、範圍與限制、深度訪談對象之產生方式、研究實施步驟。第四章根據深度訪談內容,提出綜合分析。第五章根據研究結果提出結論,並針對臺藝大圖書館「數位圖書館暨虛擬藝術館」系統推廣及網路教學資源服務發展與利用推廣,分別提出未來發展建議。 / The evolutions of information science and technology and the developments of the Internet cause the revolutionary changes in production, preservation and dissemination for knowledge. Each kind of World Wide Web emphasizes diversification, immediateness, convenience, and interaction, and have gradually become the education resources for all levels of education organizations. When universities face the fundamental influences with technical evolutions and social transitions, and keep up with the current situation, to carry on reforms with great exertion, the university libraries also must improve their effectiveness in the information service methods and the patterns to satisfy information needs for teachers and students in the activities of research and teaching.
This research discusses the related issues about the digital library, the digital museum, the web-based instruction, and e-learning and investigate on the basis of the reinforcement for promotion and utilization of "Digital Library and Virtual Gallery" implemented by National Taiwan University of Arts(NTUA) Library, the feasible models and effectiveness analysis for university libraries integrate learning environment and the establishment of the online education resources system according to the needs of universities in teaching and research, so as to be useful reference for NTUA to design online education resources system and for other academic organizations as the impetus to similar projects in the future.
The first chapter shows the research motivation, purposes and brings up the research questions. The second chapter explains the meanings and universal developments of the digital library, the digital museum, and the web-based instruction and illustrates the developments and system functions of "Digital Library and Virtual Gallery" of NTUA library. The third chapter explains the research methods, limitations, the selection of respondents for in-depth interviews, and stages of the study. The fourth chapter presents the conclusions of the interview notes. In the end, the fifth chapter brings up conclusions based on the results of this research and offers the suggestions for the future growth according to the promotion of "Digital Library and Virtual Gallery" of NTUA library and services of online education resources.

從著作權法探討學術圖書館參與Google Book Search 計畫之研究 / Study on Academic Libraries Join the Google Book Search Project under Copyright Law陳泓翔, Chen, Hong Hsiang Unknown Date (has links)
本研究旨在從著作權法探討國外大學圖書館參與GBS計畫之動機、內涵與著作權法問題,藉以瞭解數位圖書館相關的數位著作權法;並以深度訪談方式探究我國學術圖書館對GBS計畫之意義與價值,以及合理性與問題。本研究以文獻分析瞭解相關數位著作權議題,從個案研究中瞭解國外大學圖書館的觀點與做法,最後以深度訪談瞭解我國學術圖書館對其看法與意願。
本研究結論可歸納以下:(1)數位圖書館計畫相關之著作權主要在於有無授權、重製、公開傳輸與合理使用的議題上;(2)英美圖書館參與GBS計畫具有相當理由與動機;(3)英美圖書館參與GBS計畫採取全部、部分混合與無著作權模式;(4)英美圖書館考量著作權,而採取合理使用限制措施;(5)英美圖書館參與GBS計畫有制定其數位化程序與責任;(6)國外作者與出版社對於GBS計畫所侵犯的權利為重製、散布與展示;(7)我國學術圖書館對於參與GBS計畫看法兩極;(8)我國學術圖書館參與GBS計畫擔憂涉及著作權問題;(9)我國圖書館認為參與GBS計畫部分合法性不足;(10)我國學術圖書館對參與GBS計畫傾向採取無著作權保護之著作模式。
最後建議為:(1)政府宜制訂法定數位送存制度;(2)大學或圖書館應設置有關著作權管理權責中心以利處理智慧財產權問題;(3)Google應強化安全保護措施機制與保證,以維護其形象;(4)Google應積極與作家與出版社協商對談以及取得授權來降低爭議;(5)對著作權權利人之建議應勇於嘗試新的商業模式。 / The purpose of this study is to analyze the reasons that why foreign university libraries join the Google Book Search Library Project and copyright issues, so that conclude the issues related digital copyright law in digital library. Furthermore, the study used interviews for investigating the meaning, value, and legitimate issues of GBS Library Project from the viewpoint of academic libraries in Taiwan. According to the literature review, the study clarified digital copyright issues. In addition, the study obtained the views of foreign university libraries toward GBS Library Project by case studies. Finally, the study used interviews to understand the opinions of GBS Library Project from academic libraries in Taiwan.
The results of the study are summarized below: (1)The key copyright issues that related to related to Digital Library Project are copyright authorization, reproduction, the fair use, and the right to public transmission. (2)There are legitimacies and motivations for UK and USA libraries participate in GBS Library Project. (3)There are three models that adopted by UK and USA libraries for participating in GBS: all collection or part of collection and no copyright works to scan. (4)Considering copyright issues, UK and USA libraries take reasonable measures to restrict the use of digital copies. (5)UK and USA libraries contract with Google for its procedures and responsibility. (6)Foreign authors and publishers consider that GBS is accused of violating for their rights of the reproduce, distribute and display. (7)The academic libraries in Taiwan have bipolar view for joining GBS. (8)The academic libraries in Taiwan worry about copyright issues for joining GBS. (9)The academic libraries in Taiwan consider that the GBS project is lack of legitimacy to join it. (10)If the academic libraries in Taiwan join the GBS project, they would be inclined to put in out-of-copyright works.
Based on the final results of this study, several suggestions are as follow:(1)Government should establish a legal policy of digital deposit, (2)University or library should set up a copyright management center which has right and responsibility to deal with intellectual property rights issues; (3)Google should strengthen safety measures and guarantee mechanisms to protect it’s image. (4)In order to reduce the controversy, Google should consult with the authors and publishers actively to obtain authorization (5)The copyright owners should be willing to try a new business model.

“Frankenstein Complex” in the Realm of Digital Humanities : Data Mining Classic Horror Cinema via Media History Digital Library (MHDL)Jiang, Tianyu January 2019 (has links)
This thesis addresses the complexity of digitalization and humanities research practices, with a specific focus on digital archives and film history research. I propose the term “Frankenstein Complex” to highlight and contextualize the epistemological collision and empirical challenges humanities scholars encounter when utilizing digital resources with digital methods. A particular aim of this thesis is to scrutinize digital archiving practices when using the Media History Digital Library (MHDL) as a case for a themed meta-inquiry on the preservation of and access to classic horror cinema in this particular digital venue. The project found conventional research methods, such as the close reading of classical cinema history, to be limiting. Instead, the project tried out a distant reading technique throughout the meta-inquiry to better interrogate with the massive volume of data generated by MHDL. Besides a general reassessment of debates in the digital humanities and themes relating to horror film culture, this thesis strives for a reflection on classic horror spectatorship through the lens of sexual identity, inspired by Sara Ahmed’s perspective on queer phenomenology. This original reading of horror history is facilitated by an empirical study of the digital corpus at hand, which in turn gives insights into the entangled relation between subjective identities and the appointed research contexts.

China ist ein Land, das sich im Umbruch befindet und daher große Veränderungen in seiner politischen, sozialen, wirtschaftlichen und kulturellen Struktur bewältigen muss. Unwissenheit und der Mangel an Zugang zu Informationen sind in manchen Regionen sehr ausgeprägt. Den sich stürmisch entwickelnden Städten wie Shanghai steht eine arme analphabetische Landbevölkerung gegenüber. Das bedeutet, dass der Wert der Bibliotheken und Informationen in einem großen Teil der Bevölkerung nicht verankert ist und außerdem die ethnischen Minderheiten auch in ihrem kulturellen Erbe nicht genügend berücksichtigt wurden. Daher ist es wichtig, dass sich die Erkenntnis durchsetzt, dass Informationsversorgung und ökonomisches Umfeld voneinander abhängen. Um die Entwicklung der Bildung, Ausbildung, des Wissens und der Wissenschaft durch leistungsfähigen Bibliotheken und Informationsversorgung zu ermöglichen, wird ein Bibliotheksgesetz benötigt. Dieses Gesetz sollte auch die fachliche Ausbildung der Informationsberufe regeln, da eine gute fachliche Ausbildung Voraussetzung für den Stellenwert der Informationen und deren Nutzung ist. Es sollte mit dem Ausland zusammenarbeiten, weil sich hier eine Kooperation ergeben kann, die insbesondere für die Zukunft der Digitalen Bibliothek wichtig ist. Daher könnte hier eine gute Kooperation der erste Schritt für eine zukünftige Zusammenarbeit sein, wie sie die Vernetzung und die weltweite Öffnung der Informationsressourcen erfordern. / This paper is divided into five chapters with a preface and an introduction giving a brief historic review of the Chinese libraries. Emphasis is placed on the development and present situation of Chinese Librarianship and Information Science. Chapter 1 describes the development of the Internet in China by comparing it with Germany, and explains how it became the basis for China''s current digital library. Chapter 2 discusses the digitizing of the Chinese rare books, as well as digital projects in P.R. China, Taiwan and Hongkong. Later the juristic and technological problems of digitizing as well as other related topics are discussed. Chapter 3 examines public libraries, focusing on the campaign against illiteracy and special services for disadvantaged social groups. Chapter 4 looks in to how globalization and international cooperation has become increasingly important to Chinese libraries and librarianship in the international arena. Chapter 5 is devoted to the three most important factors: library law, information sharing and education for the further development of Chinese librarianship. The conclusion outlines a possible model for the future of Chinese libraries in the 21st century. Traditional libraries like public libraries and digital libraries should develop at the same time. This means that China has two tasks: building libraries up and modernizing them so that not only the scientists and researchers have access to the inevitable Information, but also the general population should have access to "Lesestoff," where people from both the city and countryside would be allowed the same number of books. This development model for a developing country like China, with a digital network environment, can only be realized with an effective library law and international cooperation.

透過數位博物館具有良好資訊組織和經過管理的數位資源,應用於支援數位學習具有極高的發展潛力。而將資訊架構概念導入數位博物館網站設計,有助於發展更優質之數位博物館網站,促使使用者以更有效率的方式取得所需要的典藏資源,達到數位博物館支援終身學習的目的。本研究以Morae 人機互動分析軟體觀察學習者利用數位博物館輔助學習之學習歷程,並經由學習歷程分析探討數位博物館支援數位學習過程中,學習者單獨以數位博物館資訊架構中的組織系統、搜尋系統,以及利用組織系統搭配搜尋系統輔助完成學習任務,對於學習成效、認知負荷、學習效率與任務達成時間的影響差異。
研究結果顯示:(1)搭配使用組織系統及搜尋系統與使用組織系統學習者的學習成效顯著優於使用搜尋系統的學習者;(2)使用搜尋系統的學習者在認知負荷上顯著高於搭配使用組織系統與搜尋系統的學習者;(3)搭配使用組織系統與搜尋系統的學習者在學習效率上顯著高於使用搜尋系統的學習者;(4)使用組織系統的學習者在任務達成時間上顯著高於使用搜尋系統的學習者;(5)搭配使用組織系統與搜尋系統的圖像視覺型學習者在認知負荷上顯著高於口語聽覺型學習者;(6)圖像視覺型的學習者搭配使用組織系統與搜尋系統,在學習成效上高於使用搜尋系統;(7)使用組織系統、搜尋系統與搭配使用組織系統與搜尋系統高資訊焦慮學習者的認知負荷顯著高於低資訊焦慮學習者;(8)高資訊焦慮學習者使用搜尋系統在認知負荷上顯著高於搭配使用組織系統與搜尋系統
最後,根據研究結果,本研究亦提出數位博物館資訊架構輔助數位學習的教學建議,也針對「自然與人文數位博物館」的網站資訊架構設計提出建議。

Previous issue date: 2009-09-11 / Coordenação de Aperfeiçoamento de Pessoal de Nível Superior - CAPES / The study examined the Brazilian Digital Library of Thesis and Dissertations like a memory preservation strategy. This way, discussed about information, memory, preservation, inclusively digital, as well as the open archives and the open access to scientific information, because they constitute fundamental issues to the comprehension of this topic. The methodology used consisted of bibliographic search on web pages, books, scientific articles and technical reports, as well as with professionals of the institutions that made part of the sample used. It was identified and analyzed information politics adopted by the institutions that made part of the inter-institutional consortium of IBICT, as well as issues related to the kind of software and work methodology that are used. The study concluded that the BDTD is a feasible preservation model and an efficient way to promote the access to thesis and dissertations that historically were limited by geographic and financial barriers. However, to get succeed, its necessary qualified professionals, technical tools and public and institutional information politics as instruments to support the process. / O estudo buscou analisar a Biblioteca Digital Brasileira de Teses e Dissertações como uma estratégia de preservação da memória. Neste sentido, fez discussões acerca da informação, memória, preservação, inclusive digital, bem como os arquivos abertos e o acesso livre a informação, por constituírem-se de tópicos fundamentais para a compreensão deste assunto. A metodologia utilizada consistiu de pesquisa bibliográfica em páginas da Internet, livros, artigos de periódicos e relatórios técnicos. Os procedimentos de coleta de dados, foram realizados tanto na Internet, quanto também no conjunto das instituições que participaram da amostra do estudo. Foram identificadas e analisadas políticas de informação adotadas pelas instituições participantes do consórcio interinstitucional do IBICT, bem como questões relacionadas a software e metodologias de trabalho. Concluiu-se que a BDTD se apresenta como um modelo viável de preservação e ainda eficiente veículo de promoção do acesso aos trabalhos de teses e dissertações que historicamente estiveram limitados por barreiras geográficas e financeiras. Porém, para que estes repositórios desempenhem, todavia, a contento o seu objetivo, faz-se necessário a participação de profissionais qualificados, instrumentos tecnológicos e políticas públicas e institucionais de informação que apóiem o processo.

Aborda o desenvolvimento do Website da Memória Virtual da produção científica do curso de Geologia do Instituto de Geociências da Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Sul (IGeo/UFRGS), sob o ponto de vista da socialização e da divulgação da informação em ambiente de comunicação digital. O objetivo geral deste estudo é disponibilizar a memória da produção científica do curso de Geologia constituída pelo acervo documental publicado pelo IGeo/UFRGS, armazenado na Biblioteca, em ambiente Web. A pesquisa tem caráter quali-quantitativo caracterizada pela fundamentação teórica em fontes de informações bibliográficas, na seleção dos documentos que integram o inventário analítico, na análise do resultado estatístico da avaliação do Website da Memória Virtual e na compilação estatística do levantamento da literatura sobre acervos documentais científicos. As fases metodológicas do estudo foram a pesquisa bibliográfica, o inventário documental, métodos de digitalização de documentos, adoção de padrões internacionais de interoperabilidade entre bases de dados – aponta o uso do Open Archive Iniciative Protocol for Metadata Harvesting (OAI-PMH) e aplicação de técnicas de design de informação no processo de desenvolvimento do Website. Conclui-se com os seguintes resultados: inventário dos 50 anos de produção científica do curso de Geologia do Instituto de Geociências da Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Sul, compreendendo o período de 1957-2007, identifica os principais temas, autores e tipos documentais produzidos e publicação do Website da Memória Virtual, disponível em <http://www.memoriavirtual.ufrgs.br/>. / Addresses the development of the Website of Virtual Memory of the Scientific Production from the Geology undergraduate course of the Institute of Geosciences from the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul (IGeo/UFRGS), from the point of view of socialization and dissemination of the information in the digital communication environment. The aim of this study is to provide the memory of the scientific production of the Geology course of the collection of documents published by Igeo/UFRGS stored in the Library, in a Web environment. The research is of qualitative and quantitative nature and it is characterized by the theoretical sources of bibliographic information, the selection of documents that make up the analytical inventory, the analysis of the statistical outcome of the evaluation of the Website of Virtual Memory, and compiling statistical survey of the literature on scientific document collections. The methodological steps of the study were: a literature review, inventory of the documents, document scanning methods, adoption of international standards for interoperability between databases - focused on the Open Archive Initiative Protocol for Metadata Harvesting (OAI-PMH) and application of techniques of information design in the process of the website development. informação e do conhecimento caracteriza a sociedade contemporânea. Neste contexto, a
Educação a Distância (EaD) surge como meio adequado para propiciar nova forma de ensino
e aprendizagem, na qual os agentes envolvidos no processo podem estar separados no tempo e
no espaço. Esta modalidade de educação carece de uma biblioteca híbrida, na qual os agentes
envolvidos no processo de ensino-aprendizagem tenham acesso à informação para subsidiar o
desenvolvimento das atividades acadêmicas. A pesquisa tem como objetivo geral a n a l i s a r
de que forma as bibliotecas dos polos de apoio presencial de EaD da Universidade Aberta do
Brasil (UAB), na Bahia, atendem os discentes e disponibilizam materiais informacionais para
os cursos na modalidade EaD. O percurso metodológico resultou em uma pesquisa do tipo
exploratória e descritiva; a abordagem adotada teve por base a teoria da complexidade, a
partir das ideias do filósofo Edgar Morin, que serviu de lastro para o entendimento dos
fenômenos relacionados à modalidade de EaD. O procedimento adotado foi o de estudos de
casos múltiplos. As técnicas adotadas foram a observação direta extensiva e questionário
eletrônico. A análise dos dados advém dos questionários respondidos pelos coordenadores do
polo de apoio presencial. Entre os aspectos problemáticos observados estão a falta de
bibliotecário no quadro profissional dos polos, as bibliografias básica e complementar em sua
maioria no formato impresso, não inclusão de recursos tecnológicos de redes sociais no
ambiente da biblioteca, falta de cooperação das bibliotecas das universidades mantenedoras
dos cursos no polo. Entre os aspectos positivos, destacamos a presença de todas as instituições
públicas de ensino superior de origem baiana oferecendo cursos na modalidade EaD, além das
instituições de ensino superior oriundas de outros estados e Distrito Federal: todos os polos
demonstraram que possuem biblioteca na infraestrutura. Diante das evidencias apontadas no
resultado da pesquisa tornou-se possível concluir que a biblioteca de apoio presencial da EaD
disponibiliza produtos e serviços focados nas necessidades dos discentes presenciais. / ABSTRACT
The development of new practices of production and services based on the use of information
and knowledge characterizes contemporary society. In this context, the Distance Education
(DE) emerges as an appropriate means to provide new ways of teaching and learning. The
agents involved in the process can actually be separated in time and space. This kind of
education lacks a hybrid library, the agents involved in teaching and learning processes have
access to information in order to support academic activities. The research has as its main
objective to analyze how the presential libraries (from the support poles of DE at
Universidade Aberta do Brasil – UAB), in Bahia, serve the students and provide
informational materials for DE courses. Methodologically, this is an exploratory, descriptive
research; the adopted approach was based on the theory of complexity, from the philosopher
Edgar Morin, which served as basis for understanding the phenomena related to DE issue.
The adopted procedures are those which characterize multiple case studies. The adopted
techniques were extensive direct observation and electronic questionnaire. The data analysis
was done from the answered questionnaires by presential support coordinators. Among some
problematic aspects are: the absence of a librarian in the poles staff; the basic and
supplementary bibliographies mostly in print format; non-inclusion of social networks
technological resources in the library; lack of cooperation among the university sponsor
libraries.. Among positive aspects, we highlight the presence of all higher education public
institutions from Bahia offering DE courses, in addition to other higher education institutions
from different Union States and the Union District Capital: the poles, all of them, have a
library in its infrastructure. Facing the research results and its evidences it is possible to
conclude that DE presential support libraries have products and services focused on presential
student needs.

Le catalogue occupe une place privilégiée dans l’offre de service des bibliothèques universitaires, pivot de l’intermédiation. Depuis 10 ans, il traverse une crise grave, voyant les usagers le délaisser à la faveur des moteurs de recherche généralistes. Le web, plus qu’un sérieux concurrent, devance aujourd’hui les systèmes d’information documentaires, et devient le point d’entrée principal pour la recherche d’information. Les bibliothèques tentent de structurer un espace documentaire qui soit habité par les usagers, au sein duquel se développe l’offre de service, mais celle-ci se présente encore comme une série de silos inertes, sans grande possibilité de navigation, malgré de considérables efforts d’ingénierie et des pistes d’évolution vers les outils de découverte. La profession, consciente de cette crise profonde, après avoir accusé les remous occasionnés par la dimension disruptive du numérique, cherche des moyens pour adapter et diversifier son offre, fluidifier la diffusion de l’information, et se réinvente un rôle d’intermédiation en cherchant à tirer profit des nouvelles pratiques des usagers, de leurs nouvelles attentes, et de nouvelles perspectives. Les bibliothèques placent leur espoir dans de nouveaux modèles de données, tentent d’y ajouter un niveau d’abstraction favorisant les liaisons avec l’univers de la connaissance. L’évolution vers le web sémantique semble une opportunité à saisir pour valoriser les collections et les rendre exploitables dans un autre contexte, au prix d’importants efforts que cette analyse tente de mesurer. Une approche constructiviste fondée sur l’observation participante et le recueil de données offre une vision issue de l’intérieur de la communauté des bibliothèques sur l’évolution des catalogues et des outils d’intermédiation, et ouvre des perspectives sur leurs enjeux. / The catalog takes up a special position in the supply of services of academic libraries, as a pivot for the intermediary between users and information professionals who carry the responsibility for building up collections. For 10 years, through a serious crisis, they’ve been seeing their patrons preferring the general or commercial search engines. The Web is more than a serious competitor today, ahead of the document information systems, and became the main access point for information retrieval. Libraries are trying to structure an information space that is temporarily or permanently inhabited by users, in which the service offering is developed, but it is still presented as a series of silos, with few opportunities of navigation between them despite considerable engineering efforts and a perspective of evolution towards discovery tools. The profession, having become aware of this deep crisis after accusing eddies caused by the breakdown of the digital switch, looking for ways to adapt and diversify its offering, streamlines the dissemination of information, and reinvents its roles, trying to take advantage of new practices of users, new expectations and new prospects. Libraries put their hope in new data models, trying to add a level of abstraction promoting links with the world of knowledge. The evolution towards the Semantic Web seems to be a valuable opportunity to enhance the collections and make them usable in another context, at the expense of significant efforts sized up by this analysis. A constructivist approach based on participant observation and data collection offers a vision of the outcome within the library community on the development of catalogs and intermediation tools, and an outlook on their issues.
