[en] TOCANTINS EDUCACIONAL MANAGEMENT / [pt] A GESTÃO EDUCACIONAL EM TOCANTINSINDIRA ALVES FRANCA 20 December 2007 (has links)
principais
características e verificar possíveis impactos nos
indicadores educacionais do
estado.
indicadores educacionais do estado, a saber: acesso, fluxo
(aprovação, reprovação
e abandono) e desempenho dos alunos do ensino fundamental
e médio. A análise
escolar, tanto no
ensino fundamental quanto no Ensino Médio.
Fundamental e no 3º ano do
ensino médio, tanto em Língua Portuguesa quanto em
Matemática. / [en] This dissertation analyses the experience of educational
management in
Tocantins, between 2000 and 2005. The purpose of this
research is to find out the
main characteristics and verify possible impacts in the
educational indicators of
the state. Through the period analyzed, the Education and
Culture Secretariat of
Tocantins had its work oriented into a strategic planning
process, which was
compromised with the professional qualification and the
improvement of its
educational indicators. Among the programs and actions
implemented, the most
important are: the Strategic Planning of the Secretary
(PES); Shared Management
Communitary School program; Continuing Formation of the
Educational
Managers (Progestão), the Continuing Formation of the
Teachers; the -Zero
Grade- Droup-out program and the selection process of the
directors of
educational units. The Tocantins educational management is
analyzed through
the literature review about this theme, the study from
official documents,
interviews with the management team of the secretariat and
the analysis of the
progression of the main educational indicators of the
state: access, student flows
(approval, failure, drop-out) and the performance of the
students of primary and
secondary school. The data analysis shows that there was
an improvement in
access and an improvement of the student flows, there was
an increase in
approved and a decrease in the drop-out rates, in the
primary and in the secondary
school. Finally, there was a significant improvement in
the performance of the
Tocantins students evaluated for the System of Evaluation
of Basic Education
(Saeb) in the 4th year of primary school and the 3rd year
of secondary school both
in Portuguese.

Previous issue date: 2007-05-16 / Coordenação de Aperfeiçoamento de Pessoal de Nível Superior / The present paper aims to analyze critically the different documental sources that refer to SAEB Sistema Nacional de Avaliação da Educação Básica ( National System for Evaluation of Basic Education). It tries to question and makes suggestions that contribute to the building of an alternative educational evaluation policy which opposes SAEB, taking into account its limitations to show the quality of Basic Education in Brazil. A qualitative theoretical documental survey was done. Discourse analysis elements were used based on fundamental data sources such as: official documents, educational articles in Journals, newspapers articles. Our analysis was based on some contributions of theoreticians who have a critical stand. This paper highlights that SAEB s policy represents a step back concerning the theoretical advance in the field of educational evaluation, which is worrying if its influence on evaluative policy of States and Municipals is taken into account. This paper detected that there are questionings and even some suggestions to SAEB. This paper evidenced that the logic of the examination gets stronger day by day which requires a reflection-action of the subjects that were committed to a perspective of evaluation that considered the complexity of the educative process / O presente estudo tem como objetivo básico a análise crítica de diferentes fontes documentais que tratam do Sistema Nacional de Avaliação da Educação Básica (SAEB) buscando questionamentos e proposições que contribuam para a construção de uma política de avaliação educacional alternativa, que se contraponha ao referido sistema, considerando suas limitações para retratar a qualidade da Educação Básica no Brasil.

Previous issue date: 2004-08-05 / This current paper aims at investigating issues concerning the expectations of
Geometry learners after they go through the four years of High School. Thus, its
intention is to contribute with the general reflections on the teaching of Geometry
throughout that same period.
It also tries to approach new curriculum contents (proposals) and their trend, and
analyses the questions (tests) proposed in some vestibulares ( College Admission
Tests) in the State of São Paulo and in the National Testing System for High
Schools (Exame Nacional do Ensino Médio-ENEM).These two major Testing
Systems, as we know, are determining factors to define projects for Geometry
teaching in High School.
This paper also seeks to investigate the characteristics that shape the proposals
for Geometry teaching at Elementary School, the directions that vestibulares and
ENEM are moving towards and which areas of Geometry have been mostly
tested. Our purpose is to examine possible consequences that these recent trends
may have on the teaching of Geometry throughout Elementary School.
This paper makes use of bibliography and documentation research to offer an
evaluation of the most frequent questions (tests) that were presented by ENEM
and vestibulares in their 2001-2003 issues.
The main results of our study show that vestibulares tend to focus on a limited
group of contents and abilities, giving little attention to contextual and
interdisciplinary situations, which, nevertheless, are the main characteristic of the
tests proposed by ENEM. Therefore, taking into account the trends analyzed, we
conclude that the vestibulares fail to meet the expectations of Geometry learners
at the end of High School / O presente trabalho tem como objetivo investigar as sinalizações referentes às

[pt] A EDUCAÇÃO GEOGRÁFICA COMO UM CAMINHO PARA A PROMOÇÃO DE SUSTENTABILIDADES: RESGATANDO VALORES SOCIOAMBIENTAIS COM O 6° ANO DO ENSINO FUNDAMENTAL / [en] THE GEOGRAPHIC EDUCATION AS A WAY TO THE PROMOTION OF SUSTAINABILITIES: REGISTERING SOCIAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL VALUES WITH THE 6TH YEAR OF BASIC EDUCATIONLIVIA IGLESIAS DE ANDRADE 01 September 2011 (has links)
[en] The work stands out as a production theoretical and conceptual, in which we analyze the geography teaching at the basic education, fundamentally at the 6th year of the basic education, emphasizing that the geographic education, trough the teaching of the geographical concept of place, can contribute to the students citizenship formation, as well as to the creation of social and environmental ethic values, thus representing an effective way to be trodden to the promotion of sustainabilities at the space. Thus, we propose that the notion of sustainabilities make part of the programmatic content of school geography, creating an symbiotic relation between the geographical education and the promotion of sustainable actions in space, through teaching methodologies, like the elaboration of didactic projects, that favor the pupils ethic social and environmental formation, preparing them to the exercise of citizenship, and to the construction of relations of affection, solidarity, carefull, and responsible with the other and the environment. We believe that the mentioned symbiosis can be a acquisition both to the teaching of geography, as to the construction and management of spaces of sustainable experiences at the social and environmental scope.

[en] THE PIBID/PUC-RIO IN THE CONTEXT OF PUBLIC EDUCATIONAL POLICIES: EXPERIENCES OF IMPACT IN THE FORMATION OF GEOGRAPHY TEACHERS FOR BASIC EDUCATION / [pt] O PIBID/PUC-RIO NO CENÁRIO DAS POLÍTICAS PÚBLICAS EDUCACIONAIS: EXPERIÊNCIAS DE IMPACTO NA FORMAÇÃO DE PROFESSORES DE GEOGRAFIA PARA A EDUCAÇÃO BÁSICALUANA FERREIRA CORREIA 18 January 2019 (has links)
[en] In recent years, the teacher training is being emphasised in the educational public policies, creating the idea that the teacher plays a fundamental role in the quality of teaching in our country. Given this context, in 2007 the Institutional Scholarship Initiative Program (PIBID) was created aiming to encourage and
value teacher education to shape teachers to work in basic education. Given the breadth and the recognized impact of this Program, we selected the PIBID / PUC-Rio, in particular the Geography Subproject, as the object of study of this research, seeking to find answers to an important question: How did the formative experience provided by PIBID is overcoming the mismatch between training, innovation and geographical education? Our research aims to analyze the contributions and limits of PIBID / PUC-Rio in the Geography teacher training for basic education. We are based mainly on the analytical-pedagogical proposal called Policy Cycle and on the experience reports of the different subjects involved in the Geography Subproject (scholarship holders and former scholarship holders, supervisors and area coordinators) obtained through the realization of semi-structured interviews. The results lead us to observations related to the rapprochement of the university with the school environment, promoting the exchange of different knowledge that involve teacher training and the renewal of didactic-pedagogical strategies in the teaching of Geography, providing students of public schools experiences of more significant learning. We believe that the context of results presented by this research can contribute to the development of future experiences dedicated to the formation of geography teachers of PUC-Rio.

[en] WHEN THERE IS LITTLE LEFT TO DREAM: THE FINANCING OF EDUCATION IN LOCAL NETWORKS IN THREE MUNICIPALITIES OF THE STATE OF RIO DE JANEIRO / [pt] QUANDO SOBRA POUCO PARA SONHAR: O FINANCIAMENTO DA EDUCAÇÃO EM REDES LOCAIS EM TRÊS MUNICÍPIOS DO ESTADO DO RIO DE JANEIROMARCELO DA SILVA MACHADO 11 October 2017 (has links)
[en] The study analyzes the financing of municipal education networks in the State of Rio de Janeiro and the challenges for local educational policy management, based in case studies in the municipalities of Angra dos Reis, Itaboraí and Teresópolis. In order to do so, we used the information on enrollment, from the
Censo Escolar, regarding the enrollment of the Instituto Brasileiro de Geografia e Estatísticas (IBGE), of finance, based on information from the Finanças dos Municípios Fluminenses yearbook and, above all, information on education expenditures, provided in the the Sistema de Informações sobre Orçamentos
Públicos em Educação. It was thus possible to trace the profile of education financing in the municipalities of the State and its challenges for the provision of quality education. As a complementary research strategy, interviews were conducted with technicians and managers of the respective municipal education
agencies, as well as trade unionists. The interlocution with the literature and the empirical material produced allowed us to identify the organization of the analysis around the following axes: division of responsibilities in the provision of enrollments in the priority levels of action of the municipalities, design of the financing policy, local political context and local bureaucratic capacity to manage the funding of education networks. In the 1970s, Rio de Janeiro municipalities accounted for a large part of primary school enrollment, although municipalization was accelerated after the implementation of Fundef. The increase in the obligation to offer free basic education to those aged between 4 and 17 years from 2010 has increased the responsibility of municipalities for the creation of new school vacancies. Although Fundef s replacement of Fundeb in 2007 has favored funding for early childhood education, we note that the current design of funding policy is not sufficient for the promotion of quality public education, in fuction the federal government reduced participation in the financing of basic education and the limited economic and managerial capacity of the municipalities, also aggravated by the discontinuity of local policies and their management. Against this backdrop, it is necessary to redefine, at the national level, the role of each federated entity, by regulating the collaboration regime provided for in the Federal Constitution of 1988, as well as changes in the Fundeb, expected to be in force until 2020 and imposing a loss of financial resources to several municipalities of the State, the design of the financing policy, the implementation of the Cost-Student Initial Quality and later the Cost-Student Quality, as provided for in the Plano Nacional
de Educação. At the local level, it is necessary to define clearer rules for the composition and permanence and the ongoing formation of the bureaucracies that work in the municipal secretariats of education and the effective social control of the resources of education, with the Siope important instrumental in the search of quality public education.

[en] EULERIAN GRAPHS IN BASIC EDUCATION / [pt] GRAFOS EULERIANOS NA EDUCAÇÃO BÁSICABRUNO NOGUEIRA CARDOSO 15 December 2017 (has links)
[en] This paper seeks to show a proposal of inclusion of elementary topics of Graphs theory, with emphasis in Eulerian graphs, on basic school. We begin with an introduction to this theory highlighting some important
definitions which underpin this paper beyond relevant theoretical conceptions to deal with the specific issue of Eulerian graphs. In addition, some suggestions of activities on the subject, which can be applied in any level of basic education, from Elementary to High School, are presented with the intention of help teachers interested in using new proposals on their pedagogical practice. So they can use this material as a motivating resource for new constructions or just adapt it, change it and/or use it in his
classroom routine. Some of the proposed activities were applied with seventh year students from a public school of Rio de Janeiro and the methodology and evaluation of this application are also described on this present work. Therefore it is intended to promote a reflection about new strategies that increase the
teaching-learning process of Mathematics in the searching for more autonomy and more meaningful mathematical education.

[pt] PROFESSORES QUE FAZEM MESTRADO E PERMANECEM NO MAGISTÉRIO DA EDUCAÇÃO BÁSICA: MOTIVAÇÕES E OBJETIVOS / [en] TEACHERS WHO MASTER AND REMAIN IN THE TEACHING OF BASIC EDUCATION: MOTIVATIONS AND OBJECTIVESLORENA FORTI 16 April 2020 (has links)
flexibilização adentrou a legislação trabalhista e a normatividade no setor
anos. A pesquisa, então, buscou — à luz das contribuições do materialismo
[en] The crisis of capitalism in the 1970s led, in the face of the need to invest less
and recover profits, a new strategy of labor exploitation, called flexibilization. In
order to take account of the new productive format, the flexibilization agenda
included labor legislation and normativity in the educational sector, marking the
prevailing ideology in contemporary times. Both the laws of hiring the worker, and
how to form him for the work were relaxed. And this new productive scenario has
finally formed a new social arrangement, the Knowledge Society, whose emphasis
is the importance of preparing for a labor market in which knowledge, information
and technology take precedence, with a training, at the same time based on skills.
Under the new idea, the new Law on the Guidelines and Bases of National
Education (number
9.396/96) is approved in Brazil, which now requires higher
education teacher training for basic education. Since the formation of teachers for
Basic Education follows in a fragmented way, both between disciplinary areas and
between levels of education, the country does not count in the institutions of Higher
Education with a faculty or institute itself, which trains these professionals, with a
formative common basis. Such conditions give rise to a dispute about the definition
of where, when and how the training of Basic Education teachers should be carried
out, and, above all, who is responsible for this task. In this field of contention, it is
observed that the number of teachers with masters in Basic Education has grown
significantly in recent years. The research then sought — in the light of the
contributions of dialectical historical materialism — to understand why teachers of
this stage of education seek the academic Masters in Education and why, after
completing the course, they continue to work in Basic Education. The work
involved the analysis of more than 500 curricula (from the Lattes Platform) of
graduate students from three postgraduate programs in Education (PPGE/ PUCRio, ProPEd/ Uerj and PPGE/ UFRJ), and 12 interviews with graduates of the three
PPGE who remained in Basic Education after the conclusion of the course. The
hypothesis that was raised and sustained after the analysis of the data obtained was
that more and more Basic Education teachers are looking for the master s degree as
an alternative of continuous formation, with a view to filling gaps left by an
insufficient initial formation, as well as to increase the same employability and to
be able to enjoy better conditions of work, also within the scope of the Basic
Education itself (greater field of employment than Higher Education), and not only,
for the performance in the Higher Education.

5a. a 8a. séries no Brasil. A pesquisa busca compreender,
outros.
as posturas e valores etc. Por fim, aponta como, frente ao
trabalho curricular, os professores aproximam-se da idéia
do ensino como arte.

[en] THE DISCURSIVE CONSTRUCTION OF STANCE ABOUT EDUCATIONAL ASSESSMENT: A SYSTEMIC FUNCTIONAL STUDY WITH PRIMARY AND SECONDARY SCHOOL TEACHERS / [pt] A CONSTRUÇÃO DISCURSIVA DE POSICIONAMENTOS SOBRE AVALIAÇÃO EDUCACIONAL: UM ESTUDO SISTÊMICO-FUNCIONAL COM PROFESSORES DA EDUCAÇÃO BÁSICASUZANA DE CARVALHO BARROSO AZEVEDO 25 January 2016 (has links)
[en] The aim of this study is to investigate educational assessment from the perspective of teachers who work in public primary and secondary education, trying to problematize such practice and enlighten critical forms of understanding it. In order to accomplish such objective, the following research questions are proposed: a) How do participants adopt stances in relation to educational assessment? and b) What evaluations and positionings about issues related to educational assessment can be identified in their discourses? The study is embedded in the domain of Applied Linguistics (Moita Lopes, 2006), considering its current viewpoint of investigating language use themes taking into account an interdisciplinary and participatory frame of reference. Along with Applied Linguistics, the research stands in the field of Education, with regard to educational assessment, seen as a historically localized social practice which seeks to observe the teaching and learning process as well as implement actions to improve it (Luckesi, 2011). As a linguistic theoretical framework, the analyses are based on the principles of Systemic Functional Linguistics (Halliday, 1994; Halliday e Matthiessen, 2004), which conceives language as a set of choices oriented to use. Also, the investigation considers the Appraisal System (Martin, 2001; Martin e White, 2005, Vian Jr, 2009), which focus on speakers /writers Attitude in relation to world phenomena as well as the resources they use to adopt ideological stances in their discourses. The research is aligned with qualitative paradigm (Denzin e Lincoln, 2006), which searches to understand questions based on the meaning people attribute to them. Therefore, a focus group (Gatti, 2012) was conducted with three teachers who work in primary and secondary public schools in Rio de Janeiro. The interaction was recorded in audio and afterwards transcribed. In the extracts selected to be analyzed, the resources of Transitivity, Mood and Attitude were used so as to identify participants stances and evaluations regarding educational assessment. Discussion provided by the
analyses indicates a comprehension of educational assessment as a dynamic concept which should be considered within the Brazilian educational system. Moreover, participants negatively judge some practices carried out in the public education scenario and take affective stance with respect to their profession, in spite of the difficulties they are confronted with.
