Nunzio, Mario Augusto Ossent Del 21 October 2011 (has links)
In this work we deal with music, both from the composition as well as from the performance viewpoints, in which the potentials of the relationship between performer and musical instrument are taken to limit situations. This is done with an analysis of the following elements: specific and intrinsic characteristics of an instrument; interaction between performer and instrument; mechanical elements of interference in this relationship. We will approach, specially, works of Helmut Lachenmann, Iannis Xenakis, Brian Ferneyhough, Aaron Cassidy and Simon Steen-Andersen. Recent musical pieces of the author of this work will also be mentioned.

Någonting har hänt : Essä

Werner, Petra January 2019 (has links)

O discurso do mestre-de-cerimônias: perspectiva dialógica

Results of the analysis of selected data will be presented from two main points. On one side, the performance of the master-of-ceremonies in two Rector Investiture Ceremonies, that occured in two colleges located in São Paulo. These performances were captured through video-tapes of the ceremonies and also through scripts specially prepared for both occasions. On the other side - also a pivotal part in the analysis of the activity of the master-of-ceremonies - the rules that guide the performance of this professional, collected in specific manuals, and the laws that regulate the ceremonial in Brazil. Based on the concepts of concrete statement, verbal interaction and discursive genre, from the theory of M. Bakhtin and his circle, the data used for the analysis focuses on verbal communication associated to an extra verbal situation at the events, considering each ceremony to be a concrete statement. The event of PUC São Paulo's rector, in 2004, was conducted by a professor who's been with the College for 30 years and has established a relationship with the institution that enabled the confrontation of the individual style and the generic, without breaking up with the genre. Even without rules set down for his performance, a detailed script, PUC's master-of-ceremonies was directed by a professor that was positioned at a strategical place in the audience. At USP's event, a master-of-ceremonies was hired to conduct the event and didn't have the same room to create his lines, although the rigid script didn't annul the individual stylistic composition. In both situations we verify that the elements that distinguish the speech of the master-of-ceremonies constitute a discursive genre, and that the unpredictable is one of the elements that integrate this genre / O objetivo deste trabalho é apresentar uma análise do discurso do mestre-de-cerimônias, atividade exercida por profissionais de formações diversas, cuja finalidade é a condução de solenidades públicas, sociais e institucionais.

Theatrical living : responsive lives which manifest God's loving presence and ways

Reinhardt, David Lee January 2018 (has links)
God is revealed through Scripture and the Incarnation as desiring to establish loving relationships with others beyond the Trinity. In the beginning he did so by creating human beings, and making himself, his desires, and his ways known to them. He chose to do so through particular actions and encounters in history which involved various forms of embodied manifestation, and led up to the supreme manifestation: the enfleshing of Jesus. Following on from the acts of Jesus which perfectly manifested God and his ways to the world in the flesh, human creatures created in the image of God and united to Christ are also called and gifted by God to manifest God's presence, activity, and ways in this world by using their bodies to live faithfully and responsively to the leading of the Spirit. In order to investigate and demonstrate these claims, Part I of the thesis examines a selection of precedent-setting events chronicled in the Old Testament in which God manifested his presence and ways to people in a variety of circumstances. Part II is concerned with a theological examination of God's manifestations and the roles people can and should play in these manifestations. It begins by engaging with reflections on the subject from the early church fathers Irenaeus, Athanasius, and Augustine; and, in keeping with the Reformed approach taken in the thesis generally, this is followed by in-depth treatments of Reformer John Calvin and Reformed theologian Karl Barth on the revelation, manifestation, and proclamation of God by people in this world. Having substantiated the claim that how people live is significant and of concern to God as it can impinge upon his ongoing desire to make himself and his ways known, Part III is designed to provide a fuller understanding of some of the meaning and significance conveyed by bodily expressions in human interactions with an eye towards seeking ways to live more faithfully to God. It identifies the theatre, particularly improvisational theatre, as a laboratory for understanding human living, and so explores the insights of theatre practitioners into everyday living; while also considering the work of philosophers of language and sociologists who do the same. Through this spotlight on the theatricality of life the case is made for attempting to live responsively, in keeping with improvisational actors, in ways that are faithful to God and which can serve to aid those united to Christ as they seek to make God known to others.

Romská lidová píseň a možnosti jejího využití v hodinách hudební výchovy / Romani Folk Song and Possibilities of its Application in Music Lessons

Sebechlebská, Ladislava January 2018 (has links)
5 ABSTRACT Romani folk song is not generally known among Czech population, which is a reason why this thesis in its theoretical part tries to familiarize with its origin, describe historical development of Romani music and divide songs according to functions and close geographical areas of its occurrence, so that a comprehensive picture can be created for the readers. The following part brings analysis of five Romani dance songs, which are described musically, textually and semantically. This section is based on various songbooks and audio recordings to create as authentic a version of a song as possible. The songs are enriched of sheet music together with lyrics and harmonisation for better possibilities of their application. The thesis continues with a suggestion of eventual means of application of Romani folk songs in vocal, musical and physical education. Moreover, there are described analysed songs with Romani scatting suggestions, typical features of expression, dance steps and rhythmical moves, which are typically observed in Romani culture. The dance steps are added in a form of textual description as well as short video recordings to become easily comprehensible.

Machado, André Campos 14 November 2014 (has links)
This research investigates the possibilities of initiation to plucked strings instruments through free improvisation. It is divided into three parts: theoretical foundation, free improvisation workshops and notebook initiation. The theoretical reflection has as main references the research of Rogério L. M. Costa and H. J. Koellreutter about Free Improvisation and Flávia M. Cruvinel investigations on Collective Teaching of Musical Instruments. The various kinds of musical gestures are described focusing on instrumental gesture, term adopted in the research to represent the elements of instrumental technique. The instrumental gestures were selected during six free improvisation workshops held in music conservatories in the state of Minas Gerais, where he sought a form of musical graphic record favoring the practice of free improvisation and collaborate into the development of a notebook initiation to plucked strings instruments. This new instrumental initiation proposal is divided into six parts that suggest a guide for free improvisation, written in a nontraditional way, with the aim of stimulating sound and timbre exploration combined with the contemporary music. Through the creation of the gestural freedom and the expansion of listening abilities, it seems likely that could develop musical and instrumental skills to create his/her own repertoire, according to his identity, his biography and life experience.

\"Movimento-imagem-ideia\" - o percurso de uma prática / \"Movement-Image-Idea\": the trajectory of a practice.

Vieira, Cristiane Paoli 09 November 2016 (has links)
This dissertation investigates the elaboration of a concept, \"movementimage- idea\", developed during an improvisation practice. When this improvisation - which started in the theatre with the use of theatre games, mask games, such as commedia dell\'arte and clowns - meets dance and somatic approaches, it is amplified, now offering structure to the autonomy of the improvisational actor. Previous research on performing arts that have paved a path to the establishment of the concept analyzed here focus on A Troupe de Atmosfera Nômade\'s use of improvisation and masks; Cia Nova Dança 4\'s real time improvisation in front of an audience; and the structure prefixed on dancing, in Ladies, from innocence to cruelty, with possible improvisational ruptures.

Rosane Avani Rodrigues 07 June 2013 (has links)
The author defines and systematizes the Brazilian methodology of socio-psychodrama: Reprise Theatre, created in 1993 by the Reprise Group, of which she was a member. She distinguishes the practice from its motivational method, the American Playback Theatre (1975), created by Jonathan Fox, mainly due to the emphasis on groupality, presenting it as facilitator/mediator of interaction and learning for adult audiences. In order to do so, she defines its foundations based on the sociopsychodramatic approach of Jacob L. Moreno (1889-1974), in which there is a \"Morenian man\" alluded to, who has a high degree of spontaneity, who always creates and who is oriented towards the search for a utopia of mental and social health, who gets away from the social disease of crystallization and from the cultural preserves. This paper describes the Brazilian practical and theoretical innovations on sociopsychodrama, especially regarding the notions of co-conscious and co-unconscious states and of telic field. It shows the particularities of the modality Reprise Theatre as an intersection between the individual and the collective, by the aesthetic resonance of its ego-actors and ego-musicians. From this grounding, the author builds up the concepts and the various stages of the Reprise Theatre and exemplifies the impact of the group transformation/learning, resulting from the use of the method in organizations, public policies, institutions, etc. In addition, a demonstrative intervention with the use of the Reprise Theatre and with a large group in the space of a cultural center in São Paulo is reported and processed by reading the phenomenon, in bias of the group sociodynamics.
