Este é um estudo empírico e qualitativo que pretende investigar a operação do direito e o processo de sua construção social, através das formas e práticas discursivas pelos quais ele se apresenta no contexto de um projeto de renovação urbana em São Paulo. Argumenta-se que o direito ajuda a organizar e dar sentido às narrativas que pessoas desenvolvem nesse e sobre esse contexto específico e que tais narrativas participam ativamente da construção de compreensões da legalidade. O trabalho descreve os desenvolvimentos do projeto Nova Luz, um projeto de renovação do centro da cidade de São Paulo, entre 2005 e 2012. No contexto desse projeto, a pesquisa desenvolve a análise de relatos colhidos em entrevistas semiestruturadas realizadas com pessoas que vivem, moram, trabalham, são proprietários ou estiveram intensamente envolvidas com a iniciativa do governo municipal. As experiências e os relatos locais desse cenário urbano estruturam três tipos de consciência do direito: diante do direito, com o direito e contra o direito. Esquemas interpretativos que traduzem formas pelas quais os indivíduos participam na construção social da legalidade, isto é, diferentes compreensões e maneiras pelas quais os indivíduos posicionam o direito e se posicionam em relação a ele. O trabalho, portanto, desenvolve uma interpretação prática do direito através da abordagem do contexto local, e uma leitura do contexto local por meio do elemento jurídico. Representando esse último na forma de operações interpretativas contextuais, a pesquisa propõe uma visão do direito tal um dado inseparável de como um pensa, interpreta e vive a experiência social. / This is a qualitative and empiric study that proposes to investigate laws operation and the process of is social construction through the discursive forms by which it presents itself in the context of an urban renewal Project in São Paulos city center. It advances the argument that law helps to organize and provide meaning to the narratives people develop in and about this specific context and that these narratives actively participate in the construction of comprehensions of legality. The study describes the developments of project Nova Luz, an urban renewal project of São Paulos city center, between 2005 and 2012. In the context of this project, the research develops an analisys of the stories collected through semi-structured interviews carried out with people that live, work, are landlords or have been intensely involved with the municipal governments initiative. The local experiences and stories of this urban scenery structure three types of legal consciousness: before the law, with the law, and against the law. Interpretative schemas that translate the forms by which individuals participate in the construction of legality, that is, different comprehensions and manners by which they position law and position themselves in relation to it. The project, thus, develops a practical interpretation of law by approaching the local context, and a reading of the local context by way of the legal element. Representing the latter in the form of contextual interpretative operations, the research proposes thinking about law as inseparable from how on thinks, interprets and lives social experience.

The magazine was chosen as object of this study for being a representative publication on the educational area, as since its creation, in 1986, it is edited monthly by Victor Civita Foundation, entity maintained by the Abril Group. Supported by the legalism of the law and on the scientification of the pedagogy, the Nova Escola magazine shows itself as knowledgeable of the educational problems, legitimizing itself as a space of truth and public welfare and, as a result of it, self declaring competent to show to the teacher what has to be done to the inclusion of the SSEN happen on the regular education. By producing, supporting and disseminating its belief about the inclusion as tolerance, solidarity and socialization, the magazine hides other discourses that, actually, mean by their absence, since their effects of meaning happen on the confrontation between the said and the not said . On this perspective, from what permits the theoretical and methodological device of the Discourse Analysis, we propose to analyze the discursive materialities of the magazine, in order to comprehend the language functioning, that puts into a relationship subjects and meanings affected by the language and the history. To do the research we have chose some discursive sequences of seven editions of the Nova Escola magazine September 2003, May 2005, October 2006, October 2006 (special edition), July 2009 (special edition), December 2009, August 2011). The research is based mainly on Pêcheux s (2009, 2010), Orlandi s (1997, 2007), Possenti s (2009) and Mariani s (1998, 2005) studies. We believe that it is possible, with this organization, to think about the discursive process of the Nova Escola on what refers to the social inclusion of the SSEN as a social and ideological practice that constitutes itself by the meaning relations historically constructed by the subjects who produce a discourse according to the discursive formation that regulates them / O presente trabalho visa verificar, a partir da perspectiva teórica da Análise de Discurso de orientação francesa, a concepção de inclusão social do aluno com necessidade educacional especial (ANEE) construída pela revista Nova Escola. A revista foi escolhida como objeto de estudo por se tratar de uma publicação representativa na área educacional, já que desde sua criação, em 1986, é editada mensalmente pela Fundação Victor Civita, entidade mantida pelo Grupo Abril. Amparada no juridismo da lei e na cientificidade da pedagogia, a Nova Escola apresenta-se como conhecedora dos problemas educacionais, legitimando-se como espaço da verdade e do bem comum e, em decorrência, autodeclarando-se competente para mostrar ao professor o que deve ser feito para que a inclusão do ANEE aconteça no ensino regular. Ao produzir, sustentar e propagar a sua crença de inclusão como tolerância, solidariedade e socialização, a revista silencia outros discursos que, na verdade, significam por sua ausência, já que os efeitos de sentido se dão no confronto entre o dito e o não-dito. Nessa perspectiva, a partir do que permite o dispositivo teórico-metodológico da Análise do Discurso, propomo-nos a analisar as materialidades discursivas da revista, a fim de compreendermos o funcionamento da linguagem, que põe em relação sujeitos e sentidos afetados pela língua e pela história. Para a realização do trabalho, recortamos para a análise, sequências discursivas de sete edições da revista Nova Escola (setembro/2003, maio/2005, outubro/2006, outubro/2006 (edição especial), julho/2009 (edição especial), dezembro/2009 e agosto/2011). A pesquisa está fundamentada principalmente nos estudos de Pêcheux (2009, 2010), Orlandi (1997, 2007), Possenti (2009) e Mariani (1998, 2005). Acreditamos ser possível, com esta organização, pensarmos o processo discursivo da Nova Escola a respeito da inclusão social do ANEE como prática social e ideológica que se constitui pelas relações de sentido historicamente construídas pelos sujeitos, que produzem um discurso de acordo com a formação discursiva que os regula.

Este trabalho abordou alguns aspectos do ensino de História nos anos iniciais de formação escolar Primário - em São Paulo entre 1930 e 1960, através de análise de memórias de exalunos, coletadas por meio de entrevistas sob orientações metodológicas da história oral. Inicialmente, o objetivo foi identificar possíveis relações entre o ensino de história no passado e no presente. Contudo, a pesquisa instigou a necessidade de um estudo de aprofundamento de contexto histórico escolar específico, suas práticas e suas transformações. Assim, confrontou-se: a situação do então primário no Estado de São Paulo; os programas oficiais de ensino; livros didáticos e o depoimento de ex-alunos do Ensino Primário, considerando o contexto sócio-político da época / This essay is about some specific outlooks involving the teaching of History in Elementary School in São Paulo during the years of 1930 through 1960. Its purpose is to contribute to the understanding of todays History classes in São Paulos Elementary Schools. Several current educational public policies came from that period. Brazils Official Curriculum textbooks used in school and ex-students reports where compared to the Real Curriculum. Nesse trabalho procuro examinar as relações de João Gilberto com o samba e com os modos tradicionais do canto brasileiro, particularmente o estilo do samba sincopado. Representante fundamental de um estilo que levou a música brasileira ao centro da indústria cultural, estarei em busca das continuidades e desenvolvimentos que esse estilo promove em relação ao samba feito nos subúrbios das cidades brasileiras em formação. Invertendo a orientação frequentemente biográfica da bibliografia tradicional, estarei em busca das novidades trazidas por João Gilberto no que diz respeito aos parâmetros musicais dos timbres, durações, alturas e intensidades. Longe de desprezar os estudos biográficos já feitos sobre o autor, a estratégia da inversão pretende fomentar um novo ambiente de debate com bases tão sólidas quanto aquelas, no qual se criem condições de dialogar com a bibliografia tradicional por um novo viés: o da musicologia. / In this academic work I examine the relation of João Gilberto with samba and traditional Brazilian singing, particularly the syncopated samba style. Through this representative of a style that brought Brazilian music to the center of the cultural industry, I will be searching for continuities and developments of the samba made in the outskirts of emerging Brazilian cities, promoted by that style. Inverting the orientation, frequently biographic of his traditional bibliography, I will be looking for new developments brought by João Gilberto on tones, durations, intensities and timbres. The strategy of this inversion does not intend to ignore the biographical studies already done, but to foster a new environment for discussion with a solid bases as well, in which conditions are created to dialogue with the traditional bibliography by a new bias: one of musicology.

Procederemos a um estudo do uso e ocupação do solo na região na segunda metade do século XIX, mais precisamente entre 1855 e 1888. Pretendemos uma análise por meio de uma prospecção feita no Registro de Terras Públicas e Escrituras de compra e venda de imóveis. O trabalho consiste num levantamento das localidades presentes na região e a distribuição das propriedades entre elas, num estudo que analisa a natureza dessas propriedades em relação ao tamanho, produção e presença de bens móveis e imóveis, aqui entendidos também como os meios de produção. Por fim, o trabalho analisa o inventário referente a uma das maiores propriedades da região. / The purpose of this study is the agricultural and landholding structure of the border area located in the city of Ponte Nova, in the state of Minas Gerais. A study of occupation and use of this region during the second half of the nineteenth century, more precisely between 1855 and 1888, will be carried out. The analysis will be performed through research of Registro Paroquial de Terras Públicas and Escrituras de Compra e venda (purchase and sale agreements of real estate). The study is a survey of the border area and its distribution of property, a study that analyzes the nature of these properties regarding size, production and movable or immovable assets, which are considered means of production. Finally, the study examines the inventory associated with the largest properties in this region.

As questões norteadoras do estudo são as seguintes: em que consiste o projeto de educação veiculado pela FVC através da NEGE? Nesse projeto, qual a função social da escola, da administração educacional e do trabalho do diretor escolar e coordenadores? O objetivo geral foi assim descrito: analisar as formulações da FVC veiculadas pela revista Nova Escola- Gestão Escolar para a educação brasileira, considerando especialmente as formulações sobre o tema “gestão escolar”. Para alcançar os objetivos, foi realizada uma pesquisa documental referenciada no método dialético. O corpus documental foi constituído pelas primeiras vinte e nove edições da revista. As categorias de análise da pesquisa foram: finalidade da educação escolar, administração educacional e trabalho educativo. A pesquisa está organizada em quatro capítulos e as considerações finais. No capítulo 1, além da delimitação das categorias de análise, é apresentado o mapeamento da produção bibliográfica sobre a FVC e suas publicações. No capítulo 2, são analisados aspectos da realidade brasileira que permitem localizar a trajetória da Fundação Victor Civita no período ditatorial até 2002 com o objetivo de revelar como esse grupo empresarial foi formado e como se deu o envolvimento com a educação. No capítulo 3, são examinados os aspectos da configuração da política educacional brasileira no contexto dos governos Lula da Silva (2003-2006; 2007-2010) e governo Dilma Rousseff (2011-2014) para ampliar a compreensão sobre a atuação da FVC nesse período. O capítulo 4 é dedicado à análise do corpus documental. Em síntese, a pesquisa revela que as formulações contidas na revista Nova Escola Gestão Escolar estão alinhadas à perspectiva das teorias não-críticas da educação. A concepção difundida de “gestão escolar” é afirmada pelo modelo de “gestão eficaz” cujos pressupostos se vinculam a perspectiva gerencialista na educação. Ao aproximar a escola da lógica de funcionamento do “mundo dos negócios”, a revista Nova Escola Gestão Escolar reafirma a divisão técnica do trabalho e qualifica os diretores, coordenadores e supervisores escolares como líderes de uma engrenagem. Espera-se que as análises contidas no estudo possam contribuir para a reflexão crítica sobre o significado das formulações da Nova Escola Gestão Escolar e sobre a função da Fundação Victor Civita. / This study seeks to analyse the formulations disseminated by Victor Civita Foundation's magazine Nova Escola Gestão Escolar-NEGE published from 2009 to 2014. The guiding questions to this study are the following: what is the education project released by FVC through NEGE? In this project, which are the social roles of the school, the educacional administration and the work done by the school director and coordinators? The general objective was described as follows: to analyze the FVC's formulations disseminated through Nova Escola Gestão Escolar for the Brazilian education, in special those about "school management". To achieve the goals, a documentary research based on the dialectical method was performed. The documentary corpus was constituted by the first twenty-nine issues of the magazine. The research's categories of analysis were the following: purpose of school education, educational administration and educative work. The research is organized in four chapters and the closing remarks. In the first chapter, in addition to defining the categories of analysis, the mapping of the bibliographic production on FVC and its publications is presented. In the second chapter, the aspects of the Brazilian reality which allow to understand Fundação Victor Civita's trajectory from the dictatorial period until 2002 are analyzed with the objective of revealing how this business group was formed and how was its involvement with education. In chapter three, the aspects of the configuration of Brazilian educational policy between Lula da Silva government (2003-2006; 2007-2010) and Dilma Rousseff government (2011-2014) are examined to broaden the understanding of FVC's operation in this period. The fourth chapter is dedicated to the analysis of the documentary corpus. In summary, the research reveals that the formulations contained in the Nova Escola Gestão Escolar magazine are aligned with the perspective of non-critical theories of education. The widespread conception of "scholar management" is affirmed by the "effective management" model whose assumptions are linked to managerial perspective in education. In bringing the school closer the logic of the "business world", the Nova Escola Gestão Escolar magazine reaffirms the technical division of labor and qualifies directors, coordinators and school supervisors as leaders. It is expected that the analysis contained in this study may contribute to the critical reflection about the meaning of the formulations of Nova Escola Gestão Escolar and about the role of Victor Civita Foundation.

Coordenação de Aperfeiçoamento de Pessoal de Nível Superior / Small towns play important urban roles for local and regional development; the few urban facilities are enough to meet population dynamics. From this perspective, the research analyzes the (re) structuring of urban Nova Palma, as well as new urban roles connected to the CAMNPAL. It is through this cooperative that City is improved and new urban forms and functions will initiate urban expansion promoting the local / regional development, connecting the town urban to a global trade network. The city, which arises due to the need for agriculture and agricultural trade, has today as the main urban role: the marketing and processing of agricultural products in the Region of the Fourth Colony of Italian Immigration, and as a result of this role, new activities and services will make up the urban landscape of New Palma. The continued expansion of the city depends on government policies, actions of local stakeholders and society regarding local potentialities. / As pequenas cidades apresentam papéis urbanos importantes para o desenvolvimento local e regional, os poucos equipamentos urbanos são suficientes para atender a dinâmica da população. Nessa perspectiva, a pesquisa analisa a (re) estruturação urbana de Nova Palma, bem como os novos papéis urbanos ligados a CAMNPAL. É através desta cooperativa que a cidade se vê impulsionada e novas formas e funções urbanas vão desencadear uma expansão urbana promovendo o desenvolvimento local/regional, conectando o urbano novapalmense a uma rede comercial global. A cidade que surge em função da agricultura e da necessidade de comércio agrícola, tem nos dias de hoje, o principal papel urbano: a comercialização e beneficiamento dos produtos agrícolas da Região da Quarta Colônia de Imigração Italiana, e em decorrência deste papel, novas atividades e serviços passam a compor o cenário urbano de Nova Palma. A expansão contínua da cidade dependerá das políticas públicas, das ações dos atores locais e da sociedade em relação das potencialidades locais.

The meaning of and motivations behind self-identification is a contentious topic within “the Black community.” The thesis examines the articulation of “Black” and/or “African” identities as means of gaining access to Nova Scotia’s Black Business Initiative (BBI), a state-funded organization mandated with “fostering a dynamic and vibrant Black presence” in the Nova Scotian business community. It is based on ethnographic fieldwork conducted in Halifax in 2013, including interviews with a diverse representation of 36 participants who self-identified as either "Black" or "African." Viewed as a rare redress effort directed toward and run by Blacks, the BBI is a highly visible site of contestation and competition between “indigenous Blacks” and more recently arrived “African Nova Scotians” from the African continent and Caribbean islands over the boundaries of native and foreign Blackness. The thesis argues that a group historically positioned as “Black” (i.e. Other) within a lasting narrative of displacement – both in the Americas in general, and academic diaspora discourse specifically – can be seen as adopting and adapting a discourse of indigeniety as an act of political and economic empowerment. Stuart Hall’s theoretical understanding of the articulation and positioning of Black identities is used to frame a discussion on the coupling of a distinct group’s lived experiences of subjugation and marginalization in place (i.e. Blackness) with a political and juridical ideology of belonging and entitlement to state recognition and resources (i.e. indigeniety) as a means of securing racially directed resources. It therefore challenges Paula Madden’s (2009) overly simplistic critique of this community as creating a hierarchy of Blackness and performing an erasure of Mi’kma’ki through its claims of Black indigeniety.

Tem, portanto, o objetivo de definir esse elo e demonstrar como esse pode ser uma valiosa referência ao guitarrista, servindo de fonte para este reavaliar sua prática interpretativa da música popular brasileira / Abstract: This research is based on the thesis, that the piano playing style, of Johnny Alf and João Donato, in the piano instrumental trio performance (with double-bass and drums and/or percussion), can be defined as a link, that could be perceived as a guide of how to play the Brazilian Popular Music from the second half of the last century to our days. This kind of music finds its roots in samba, however is strongly affected by the jazz influences. Coordenação de Aperfeiçoamento de Pessoal de Nível Superior / The present study intends to analyze the educational subjects in the Cidade Nova magazine, within the period of 1980 through 2005, based on articles and letters of the readers. It has as theoretical support the categories of representation, appropriation and materiality, of Roger Chartier; civilization, of Norbert Elias; field, of Pierre Bourdieu and charism, of Max Weber; beyond the local and national production on educational and catholic periodic press. The investigation is associated to estimated matters on the New Cultural History and the History of the Education and contributes for the understanding of the linkings between educational practices and printed matters in the analyzed period. / O presente estudo pretende analisar os temas educacionais publicados na revista Cidade Nova , no período de 1980 a 2005, através dos artigos e das cartas de seus leitores. Tem como aportes teóricos as categorias de representação, apropriação e materialidade, de Roger Chartier; civilização, de Norbert Elias; campo, de Pierre Bourdieu e carisma, de Max Weber; além da produção local e nacional sobre imprensa periódica educacional e católica. A investigação vincula-se aos pressupostos da Nova História Cultural e da História da Educação e contribui para a compreensão das relações entre práticas educacionais e impressos no período analisado.
