The main purpose of this essay is to study the role of documentation in Swedish health care today and the consequences of the augmentations in paper work that have taken place during the last couple of decades. The method used in this study is interviews with health care personnel. The following questions are treated: - What kind of documentation has increased in Swedish health care? - How is the patient/health care professionals affected? - How is the work of the health care professionals affected? The conclusion of the essay is that the increasing amount of time spent on documentation that for much part has never been performed before, (such as risk analyses, statistics and writing much more thorough charts), has consequently left very little time for actual patient care. The research also showed that faith in health care professionals has significantly decreased and that one of the major reasons for increased documenting is the anticipation of and therefore protection against potential complaints. Finally there seems to be a greater focus on being service-minded rather than on providing quality health care.

Betyg i årskurs sex – Hur ser lärare på denna förändring innan första betygstillfället?Andersson, Claes January 2013 (has links)
Grades in the sixth form – How do teachers view this novelty, before it occurs? An investigation of how teachers in four different schools view the implementation of the new grading system and lowered age for the first grading. The study was made before the actual grading was made. Teachers report high stress levels among their students but also a new and improved attitude towards studies among 11-13 year olds that faces grading for the first time. A shift in teaching methods is also clearly noticeable in many of the informant´s replies. A follow up- study is under planning.

A critical analysis on how secular organisations deal with religion in international development workLind, Sara, Zakrison, Rebecca January 2015 (has links)
The main aim of this study is to analyze how secular organizations deal with religion in international development work, both officially and practically, and how they describe the meeting between the secular ideology and the religious context. To answer these questions we have interviewed seven employees of different secular organizations who are well familiar with the organization’s operational as well as strategic work. The study also examines the official documents of each organization. The result show that none of the organizations has any policies about religion and that there is no active dialogue about how to deal with religion within the organizations. The results also show that religion is described as a tool and a resource for change rather than is implemented in the development work. Further, the dialogue around religion is often translated into secular terms. In order to problematize and to analyze the results, the study has mainly been inspired by theories of postcolonialism, secularism, path dependency and historical institutionalism which all together highlight the issue of secularism, religion and development.

-Studenters uppfattning / What is leadership? -The students viewKHATUMBA MUSIBA, MUHAMAD, ERGÜL, PATRIK January 2013 (has links)
Program: Ekonomie magisterutbildning i företagsekonomi 60 hp

Vägen mot en avvecklad jämställdhetspolitik i EU? : En fallstudie av EU:s jämställdhetsstrategier mellan 2006-2019 med historisk institutionalism / The road towards a dismantled gender equality in the EU? : A case study of the European Unions´gender equality strategies between 2006-2019 with historical institutionalismOlsson, Lovisa January 2019 (has links)
This study is a case study that observes the development of equality strategies in the European Union. After the former strategy for equality ended in 2015 there has been expectations that the European Commission would present a new strategy for equality. Therefore, the new strategy for equality was a disappointment for several actors and institutions of the European Union. The new strategy for equality is a work document and has a lower status in comparison with former strategies for equality in the EU. As a result, several actors and institutions are worried about the development of equality without a complete strategy. To examine the development of strategies for equality in the EU historical institutionalism and a process called historic process tracing is used in this case study. The current strategy for equality 2016-2019 is going to be compared to the former strategies for 2006-2010 and 2010-2015. Are there any indications that the new work document represents a critical juncture or is it the result of path dependency and the way that EU equality strategies follows? To observe this case Hall and Taylors´ four distinct features of historical institutionalism has been the theoretical vantage point in this study. To summarize the results of this study there has not been many substantial changes between the different equality strategies. However, changes has been identified through the way the commission presents their strategies. The new strategy for equality has also been criticised for the way the Commission has presented the document. There are signs of a conflict in the union where different institutions rely on different patterns and structures. While the Commission presents a work document other actors and institutions in the EU are currently debating for a concise and formal strategy.

The power to choose clients : A study about the imbalance of power regarding the collaboration around children with mental illness from the perspective of school counsellors and social service workersDamsjö, Sandra, Blanck, Maja January 2014 (has links)
The purpose of this study was to examine the school counsellors and social service workers experience of how the child psychiatry manage their authority in the collaboration concerning children with mental health problems. The study was conducted using qualitative interviews with school counsellors, social service workers and one former employee of the Swedish child psychiatric care. Our results are divided into two themes: Collaboration and distribution of responsibility and Children who fall between the cracks. Examples of groups of children who according to our study are at risk of falling between the cracks are those who apart from mental issues have substance abuse issues or social issues, those whose parents are in a child custody dispute, children who are acting out and children with self-harm issues. The study also reveals that it's easier for children whose parents are active and knowledgeable to get help from the child psychiatric care and that it's a requirement for both parents and children to be highly motivated. There are established social hierarchs between agencies who partake in collaboration regarding children with mental illness. The child psychiatry have a higher status than the social services and the school and therefore greater power to steer the collaboration in a way that benefits the organisations own interests. The structure of the Swedish child psychiatric care is founded in a way that benefits the sorting of clients through the requirement of diagnoses and the will to sort out the psychic problems from the social. Our conclusions with the study is the way that children with mental illness are categorized and where the child is referred is mainly because of a broad conception that Abbott (1981) could describe where the mental issues are considered as "pure" and the social issues are considered "impure".

Skolans kvalitetsredovisningar och isomorfism : - En innehållsanalys av kvalitetsredovisningar 1997-2006Liljenberg, Henrik January 2007 (has links)
Abstract In 1997 a regulation were introduced to the swedish school system, Förordning om kvalitetsredovisning i skolor m.m SFS 1997:702 (Regulation about account of quality works whithin the school system). The preceding discussion noticed that municipalities and schools lacked in their progresive quality work. Messures had to be taken. Since the introduction of the regulation the government has decreed changes and additions to the original regulation. This has led to changes of substance and form in the quality work account to the administration during time. This changes can be explained with the theories of new-institutionalism. The purpose is to explain theese changes in the documents and describe the substance and form through analysis of content. The purpose is fullfilled by analysing two schools quality work accounts at three different occasions between 1997-2006. The question is: How has the increased set of details in government regulations changed the substance and shape of the schools feedback to the administration? The conclusion is that a increased set of details has changed the substance and form in the two schools quality work account. Elapsing time the schools has reached from a short form account aimed at the administration, to a informative and formalized account, reaching in several directions. Key words: Nyinstitutionalism, kvalitet, kvalitetsredovisningar, skola, förvaltning, återkoppling, isomorfism, särkoppling

A qualitative interview study of systematic quality management and its effect on primary school teachers´ work situation within the Swedish school systemTaipova, Arzu January 2024 (has links)
The Swedish education system underwent extensive reforms in the late 1080s and early 1990s, alongside changes in the public sector. These reforms involved a transition from a centralized to a decentralized system, where decision-making was delegated to municipalities and their respective operations. The Swedish National Agency for Education (Skolverket) was tasked with reviewing the quality reports of municipalities and reporting their assessments to the state. The evaluations displayed multiple flaws in the municipalities operations, and as a result of this, the Systematic Quality System (SKA) was implemented as a regulation in the Education Act of 2010. Despite some researchers and teachers expressing their opinions on this subject, there are still konwledge gaps regarding primary school teachers´ experiential perceptions of the Systematic Quality Sysstem and its impact on their work situation. Using the central concepts of institutional norms, decoupling, and path dependence from neoinstitutionalism as analytical instruments, will contribute to understanding how SKA with its rules and guidelines affects primary school teachers´ perceptions on the SKA. Furthermore, the study examines how primary school teachers, acting as street- level bureaucrats, are influenced by the SKA in their professional autonomy. Employing a qualitative method, six primary school teachers from two different cities and schools were interviewed. By gathering primary school teachers´ experiential perceptions and analyzing them using analytical instruments, it demonstrates that there is no consensus regarding systematic quality system. The reasons for this phenomenon stem from differences in implementation strategies, local adaption, and contextual factors across different school operations.

Informationsoperationer – en amerikansk idé? / Information operations – an American idea?Gustafsson, Ulrika January 2010 (has links)
The concept of information operations was introduced in the US in the middle of the 1990’s and has since that time developed and a lot of things have happened in that field during the last decade. The development of information operations is going on in the Swedish Armed Forces as well. The purpose of this essay is to study whether the introduction of the concept of information operationsin the Swedish Armed Forces can be seen as an example of the spreading of ideas according to new institutional theory. With the premise that the US, with one of the worlds leading armed forces, functions as a trend setter for other nations in the western part of the world this essay investigates if it is the American idea about information operations that has been adopted by the Swedish Armed Forces. Furthermore it investigates whether the idea, if it has been adopted, has been copied or translated to fit the new organization. The essay starts with describing the concept of informationoperations in the US, how it was introduced and how it is currently used. Then follows a presentation about how information operations, as a concept, has developed in the Swedish Armed Forces. Differences between how the concept of information operations has been implemented in the organizations is presented and discussed in order to try the theory about local translation of ideas. The major conclusions is that the concept of information operations’ introduction in the Swedish armed forces can function as an example of the new institutional theory about the spreading of ideas and that there has been some adaptations of the concept in order to fit the organization.</p>
