Volunteering Mothers in Elementary SchoolShen, Heng-yu 21 July 2009 (has links)
Researcher focused on the phenomenon that how schools and society had made parents to contribute more efforts on their children¡¦s education to promote the education effects. From gender perspective, researcher discovered that the role of volunteering mothers had strengthened the traditional gender division of labor ideology. Researcher also found that the main reason for the volunteering mothers to join the services in elementary schools is to help their child and most of them came from middle class families. For those women who had left their career because of the conflict between family and work, to join the volunteer services can help them maintain the self-identity and sense of achievement. The main consideration among choosing volunteer works is whether the time will be mach up with family care and expertise their own interests.
The school administrations think that the value of the volunteer women is not only increased school human sources, but also made a good example for the students. However, parts of the volunteering mothers in school with strong selfish motives had caused conflicts between mothers and teachers because of privileges and
unfair attitude. Researcher concluded that the participation of volunteering mothers in elementary school campus is not only helpful to the child but also can increase the individual value and the social welfare. However, it may also deepen the inequality in sex distinction and education unfair.

it is necessary to approach its historical, political, economical and cultural implications, once
ideas and several practices in relation to the black were built along the years. Regarding to
racial relationships of Brazil, an important characteristic is the prejudice in relation to several
African cultural aspects, more precisely, in relation to Afro-Brazilian religions. They present
sui generis characteristics, once the initial prohibition of the cults and the consequent
syncretism built along the time, through several fights, a diversity of expressions and
knowledge that occupy important social environments. In this manner, we present the
hypothesis that the prejudice in relation to the Afro-Brazilian religions does not only exist by
virtue of an inter-religious differentiation, but that there are involved racial factors. The main
objective of this study, then, is to verify if this relationship exists and what categorical and
discursive processes that are involved. To achieve it, three studies were accomplished. The
sample of the first two studies was composed by 77 people who profess catholic, evangelical
and spiritist religions, while for the third study, the sample counted on 4 religious leaders. The
first study consists of the categorization in which the subjects classify the apprentices of the
Afro-Brazilian, Catholic, evangelical and spiritist religions with adjectives proper to
sympathizer and nor-sympathizer people, as well as, with adjectives to first world people and
third world people. That first study is based on researches of Camino and Cols. (2001 and
2004). The second study is the lexical analysis with the aid of ALCESTE software, of the
following question: what are the essential elements of the Catholic, evangelical, spiritist and
Afro-Brazilian religions? In this study, the analyses were based on the answers to the Afro-
Brazilian religions and among the other three. The third study is an analysis of the religious
leaders' speech about Afro-Brazilian religions in a concrete situation. In the first study, the
expected relationship was not found. We found, in the second study, the discursive repertoires
and the lexicons in relation to the Afro-Brazilian religions are related to primitive, to inferior.
In relation to Catholic, evangelical and spiritist religions, the words and the discursive
repertoires are in the ambit of the intergroup differentiation. In the third study, it was found
several racist speeches in relation to black and African culture as being inferior, distant and
that this culture needs to learn with the white culture so that it can diminish prejudice. It can
be concluded that there is a strong relationship between the prejudice with the Afro-Brazilian
religions and the racial prejudice. / A dinâmica das relações raciais no Brasil é um fenômeno bastante complexo. Para
compreendê-la é necessário abordar suas implicações históricas, políticas, econômicas e
culturais, uma vez que se construiu ao longo dos anos idéias e práticas diversas em relação ao
negro. Uma característica importante nas relações raciais do Brasil é o preconceito em relação
a diversos aspectos culturais africanos, mais precisamente, frente as religiões afro-brasileiras.
Elas possuem características sui generis, uma vez que a proibição inicial dos cultos e o
conseqüente sincretismo, construíram ao longo do tempo, através de diversas lutas, uma
diversidade de expressões e saberes que ocupam espaços sociais importantes. Desta forma,
partimos da hipótese de que o preconceito em relação às religiões afro-brasileiras não existe
somente em virtude de uma diferenciação interreligiosa, mas que há fatores raciais
envolvidos. Nosso objetivo geral, então, é verificar se existe essa relação e quais os processos
categoriais e discursivos envolvidos. Para tanto, foram realizados três estudos. A amostra dos
dois primeiros estudos era composta por 77 sujeitos das religiões católica, evangélica e
espírita, enquanto para o terceiro estudo, a amostra contou com 4 líderes religiosos. O
primeiro estudo consiste na categorização em que os sujeitos categorizam os praticantes das
religiões afro-brasileiras, católica, evangélica e espírita com adjetivos apropriados tanto a
pessoas simpáticas e pessoas antipáticas, como a pessoas de primeiro mundo e pessoas de
terceiro mundo. Esse primeiro estudo está baseado em pesquisas de Camino e Cols. (2001 e
2004). O segundo estudo é a análise lexical com o auxílio do software ALCESTE, da seguinte
pergunta: quais são os elementos essenciais das religiões católica, evangélica, espírita e afrobrasileiras.
Neste estudo as análises foram em torno das respostas para as religiões afrobrasileiras
e entre as outras três. O terceiro estudo é uma análise do discurso de líderes das
religiões citadas sobre as religiões afro-brasileiras em uma situação concreta. No primeiro
estudo, não foi encontrada a relação esperada. Encontramos no segundo estudo, os repertórios
discursivos e os léxicos em relação às religiões afro-brasileiras remetem ao primitivo, ao
inferior. Quando se tratam das religiões católica, evangélica e espírita entre si, as palavras e os
repertórios discursivos ficam no âmbito da diferenciação intergrupal. No terceiro estudo,
encontramos diversos discursos racistas que remetem à cultura negra e africana como sendo
inferior, distante e que precisa aprender com a cultura branca para que possa diminuir-se o
preconceito. Conclui-se que há uma relação muito forte entre o preconceito com as religiões
afro-brasileiras e o preconceito racial.

Counselors' Comfort Levels and Willingness to Discuss Sexual Issues with Couples They CounselWieck Cupit, Rachel 14 May 2010 (has links)
The purpose of this study was to examine the factors that influence the relationship between counselors' sexual comfort and their willingness to discuss sexual issues with the couples they counsel. I surveyed 2000 members of the American Counseling Association (ACA). This study examined the relationships between counselors' sexual comfort and their willingness to discuss sexual issues with couples with a variety of variables. The results revealed that counselors' sexual education and training experience, supervision experience discussing sexuality, sexual attitudes, and age were all associated with both counselors' sexual comfort and willingness to discuss sexual issues with couples. Counselors' years of practice was found to be associated with their sexual comfort. Types of graduate specialization were found to be associated with counselors' willingness to discuss sexual issues with couples. The results of this study have implications for counselors, counselor educators, and supervisors. My hope is that counselor educators will utilize this knowledge to address counselors' in training sexual comfort level and willingness to discuss sexual issues with the couples.

Entendendo que buscar compreender a aprendizagem contribuiria mais do que pensar estratÃgias educativas a partir do ensino. Nos referenciamos teoricamente na teoria da RelaÃÃo com o Saber, de Bernard Charlot (2000); e nos parÃmetros e princÃpios de EducaÃÃo Musical, de Keith Swanwick (1979; 2003). Foram utilizadas categorias como atividade, sentido, mobilizaÃÃo (Charlot, 2000); composiÃÃo, apreciaÃÃo, performance e discurso musical (Swanwick, 1979, 2003). A pesquisa de campo teve como contexto o projeto de extensÃo universitÃria do curso de MÃsica â Licenciatura da UFC, Campus de Sobral, intitulado Oficina de ViolÃo. Metodologicamente utilizamos a pesquisa-aÃÃo, tendo como instrumentos de coleta de dados questionÃrios, entrevistas e a gravaÃÃo em vÃdeo dos encontros. Constatamos, a partir da fala dos sujeitos, que a improvisaÃÃo à uma valiosa ferramenta para a aprendizagem de mÃsica desde a iniciaÃÃo ao instrumento. A possibilidade de contextualizaÃÃo de conteÃdos musicais, o envolvimento em realizaÃÃes musicais vivas e o fortalecimento da musicalidade do sujeito sÃo alguns aspectos destacados em nossa pesquisa. / The present study sought to examine the role of the collective musical improvisation activity of in the guitar initiation based on the meaning attributed to the by the students for this approach. Seeking to understand the musical learning process emphasizing the educational strategies for teaching. The Knowledge Relationship Theory, Bernard Charlot (2000), and also the Parameters and Principles for Music Education elaborated by Keith Swanwick (1979, 2003) are the theoretical base for our study. During the research we used some categories as activity, sense, call (Charlot, 2000) and composition, assessment, performance and musical discourse (Swanwick, 1979, 2003). The field research was the context of a Guitar Workshop as a university extension course in Music at the federal University of Cearà - Sobral Campus. Methodologically our work uses the action research with its instruments of data collection as questionnaires, interviews and video recording. We concluded analyzing the collected data, that improvisation is important tool for teaching and learning music since the study initiation in the instrument. The possibility of musical background content, engaging in live musical achievements and strengthening the musicianship of the subject are some issues highlighted in our research.

um cont?nuo transformar-se. Na perspectiva da Lingu?stica Aplicada de enfoque
interdisciplinar, nossa refer?ncia te?rica baseia-se no modelo s?cio hist?rico da linguagem,

Instituto Federal de Educa??o, Ci?ncia e Tecnologia ? IFRN, in integration with Universidade Aberta
do Brasil ? UAB, in the distance modality, built from utterances produced by them in a forum
discussion online. For this, we chose to analyze the thematic forum ?Using fragments of the internet is
an ethical act?? generated in the first semester of 2011, linked to the Reading and Writing course. The
interest of this researcher to highlight the cultural identities of these subjects, in the Virtual Learning
Environment, emerged from the contact with this reality, in which it was found that the statements
constructed by students were rich in positions, meanings and interactions. By producing their
speeches, such subjects nurture a reflection on how we can establish meaning in the interaction created
in online teaching as well as on the construction of cultural identities of the subject within that virtual
space. The way students participate in the discussion forum represents learning experiences that lead
to the construction of cultural identities, which determine the trajectory of the subjects, which makes
the identity an ongoing process. Our theoretical reference follows the interdisciplinary approach of
Applied Linguistics and is based on the socio-historical model of language, with language construed
as a social practice. This study also established an interface with cultural studies, as it uses the concept
of cultural identity in postmodernity. Analysis of the utterances lead to plurality, with a multiplicity of
identities, as evidenced from the positioning of the subjects, some focused on the agreement, others on
the disagreement, or even on the boldness. It was found also in the investigative path that these
identities can be constructed and reconstructed if they are immersed in another set of historically
determined social practices.

Previous issue date: 2016-01-28 / One of the difficulties of teachers to work in adult education is the result of shortage of teaching materials, content and teaching practices suitable to this type. Considering this reality comes from the adult education program EJA. A program of the Secretariat of State of Rio de Janeiro Education in partnership with CECIERJ Foundation, which offers a Continuing Education course implemented in a virtual environment to network teachers who teach in adult education. The objective of this research is to analyze interactions teachers who teach Mathematics in EJA. It is taken as reference the professional interactions established in the forums first half of 2014. The analysis is guided in the discursive typologies proposed by Bairral (2007) for analysis of discussion forums. The thematic forum 3, two groups were considered a unit of analysis. The results indicate that the forum can become a fruitful space, if well planned, can contribute to the collective and individual development. The analysis of messages using typologies help you understand the intentionality of speech as well as realize elements such as the presence of reflection on practice, strategies and evidence demonstrating that rethought teachers on the subject which is common (polynomial of the 1st degree Function), which they took into account the context for the public EJA. Thus, it was possible to see, from the interactions, there was a maturation of the professionals involved. Another interesting observation was the realization that argumentative nature messages tend to boost the continuity of the discussion. Therefore, proposals based on experience and daily life tend to be more relevant for in service continuing education / Uma das dificuldades encontradas por docentes para atuar na EJA ? fruto da escassez de materiais did?ticos, abordagem diferenciado para conte?dos e de pr?ticas pedag?gicas adequadas ? essa modalidade. Pensando nessa realidade, surge a o Programa EJA, da Secretaria de Estado de Educa??o do Rio de Janeiro em parceria com a Funda??o CECIERJ, que ofereceu um curso de Forma??o Continuada implementado em um ambiente virtual para os professores da rede que lecionam na EJA. O objetivo desta pesquisa ? analisar intera??es dos professores cursistas que lecionam Matem?tica nessa modalidade. Tomam-se como refer?ncia as intera??es profissionais estabelecidas em f?runs do primeiro semestre de 2014. A an?lise est? pautada nas tipologias discursivas propostas por Bairral (2007) para an?lise de f?runs de discuss?o. O f?rum tem?tico 3, de dois grupos, foi considerado uma unidade de an?lise. Os resultados indicam que o f?rum pode se tornar um espa?o frut?fero, quando bem planejado, pode contribuir para o desenvolvimento coletivo e individual. Its main purpose is to investigate the argumentative action in the mediation pedagogic process.The evidence from this study is that the argumentative action is a fundamental component of teacher?s mediation as far as story discussion is concerned. The concept of mediation in this thesis comes from principles of interacionist Psychology articulated with THE theory of argumentation. It is understood that argumentative action is a process that objectives to obtain and to intensify the interlocuter?s adhesion through speech. The analysis of the story discussion activity is based on Psycholinguistic, particularly on the study of prevision ability; on the Theory of reception with special reference to the theory of the aesthetic effect, which considers the reader?s reactions and reader?s replies to the text; and on sociocognitive conflict study highlighting conflicts modalities brought up by the discussion of texts. The corpus analysed is composed by discussion episodes of stories from reading classes of Children?s Literature realized through participative observation.The subjects were children aged five-six years old from a public pre-school located in Natal-RN, Brazil. The study highlights mediation acts of argumentative nature such as direct question; illustrations from the book; rereading that were used by the teacher-researcher in story discussion. Among its conclusions it is revealed that argumentative action in stories discussion favors and intensifies the agreement of children?s to the activity. It increases the interaction between text and reader; it favours children?s organization and explicitation of their thoughts. The analysed material shows children?s exposing their ability to argue when having adequade scaffolding by an argumentative mediator the teacher / Focalizamos nesta tese a atividade de discuss?o de hist?rias do g?nero contos de fadas em aula de leitura de textos de literatura infantil. Eutanasins premisser : En etisk kompromiss / Prerequisites for euthanasia : An ethical compromisePalmaer, Maddelene January 2020 (has links)
In this study, a qualitative text analysis will identify and present common arguments that are used in the discussion regarding euthanasia. The arguments will then be discussed, following Professor Jürgen Habermas's discourse ethics, to try to reach a mutual compromise and introduce a proposal on which prerequisites for euthanasia could be introduced in society. The study will conclude with an analysis of the pre-debated prerequisites against Professor Martha Nussbaum's capability approach and in so doing make a theoretical validity claim in Habermas's opinion. What is then revealed in the result is that the proposed list of prerequisites made, is not perfect and the question arises if it is even possible. The theoretical claim of validity can be interpreted from different points of view and thus come up with conflicting answers. The consensus of this study shows that if euthanasia is to be implemented in a society, the prerequisites to be followed should be well-defined and clear.

Annotation The diploma thesis deals with the description and analysis of tax and administrative management in terms of deadlines. The aim of the thesis is to find a practical basis when applying an inconsistent setting of deadlines in the tax and administrative procedures. It was important to determine whether the concept of deadlines in the legislation is different, how the concept of time is regulated in the legislation and how this issue can actually affect us. The analysis of individual management was based on actual data. I was provided the data related to the tax procedure by a particular tax subject. The data related to the administrative procedure were requested from a specific administrative authority. The practical part of the thesis deals with a detailed analysis of individual management in terms of deadlines. The tax procedure was about determining the preclusion of the deadline for a tax assessment and the identification of the factors which had an impact on the course of this period. In the case of administrative proceeding, the time limits which are necessary for discussion of the minor offense and the administrative offense were analyzed. The thesis contains tables with data for better clarity within individual management.

Previous issue date: 2004-04-28 / This work intends to make one critical analysis of the discuss about science in the Fantástico
television program. By the critical analysis perspective, the work tries to find signs that show the intention
of both scientists and communicators discuss as well as the differences between the intention and
the effective communication, as every communicative act is full of the conditions in that it was made and
received.
The work identifies the program as an enunciator of a discuss that is constructed by multiple
voices that contribute to its construction. Since this role is identified, the analysis turns to the characteristics
of the scientific information inside it. / Esse trabalho visa elaborar uma análise crítica do discurso sobre ciência presente no programa
Fantástico de televisão. Dentro da perspectiva da análise crítica do discurso, busca-se encontrar marcas
que indiquem a intencionalidade do discurso, tanto de cientistas como de comunicadores, bem como
discrepâncias entre a intenção e a comunicação efetivamente realizada, na medida em que todo ato
comunicativo é permeado também pelas condições em que foram gerados e recebidos.
Dentro desse marco, o trabalho identifica o programa como enunciador de um discurso que
se tece a partir das múltiplas vozes que contribuem para sua a realização. A partir da identificação
desse papel, a análise se volta para as características da informação científica nele presente.
