Protect dirt from shame | the love that vanished är en utställning som har utgångspunkt i mina egna erfarenheter av lesbiska relationer och av att ha en kvinnokropp. I min essä kommer jag rikta fokus till de delar av utställningen där motstridiga känslorna omhändertas i ett ifrågasättande av att göra skillnad på som en del av att vara homosexuell och kvinna kan innebära i möte med en heteronormativ mansdominerad värld. Den homosexuella berättelsen som ett samtal som hela tiden ska undvikas, vars kroppar ska tynas bort och var kärlek inte ska uppvisas för omgivningens skull, något som jag menar på försvagar identiteten. Hur fördomar separerar oss och skapar en illusion av ett ”vi och dom”, där homosexuella inte längre ses som vanliga människor. I utställningen utforskar jag genom det måleriska och skulpturala vad som händer med kvinnokroppen när den överskrider det förutbestämda genuset och ifrågasätter döljandet av homosexuella berättelser och vad den sortens fobiskt klimat gör med oss. Det är utifrån erfarenheter och insjunkande i depressioner och psykoser som jag senare kom att börja funderar om det dubbla livet som följd av homofobiskt klimat förhåller sig så som samtiden förhåller sig till många världar genom tillbakagång av erkännande? Ett insjuknande i desorientering och hallucinationer som splittrar oss än djupare in i isolering och individualism när vi frånstöter det mänskliga, det verkliga och inte låter oss varandra närmas. Samhällets dragning till ett dualistiskt binärt tänkande som riskerar frånta verklighetens komplexitet och reducera ner jaget till något ensamt och oföränderligt. I mitt försök att relatera och föra samman händelser skulle jag vilja citera Designing for interdependence, a poetics of relating av Martin Avila, "relation is the knowledge in motion of beings, which risks the being of the world”

<p>The report comprises two separate parts:</p><ul><li>part 1:  Temperature needs for district heating in the paint shop for axles in building 210</li><li>part 2:  Energy and low temperature waste heat solutions in heating and cooling systems for   building 64 with surroundings</li></ul><p>The paint shop for axles in part 1 has air quality requirements in places for coating of axles. Toachieve desired air properties there are different process ventilation systems, which consist ofventilation coils for heating and cooling, plus air humidifier. The ventilations coils for heating usedistrict heating. Today the ventilation coils use water of 100°C to achieve necessary air demands inthe coating boxes. This part of the report investigates whether the existing system would achievethe air requirements with a water temperature of 75°C instead of 100°C in the ventilation coilsduring the coldest parts of the year. The conclusion is that it is not possible; the existing system isadjusted for a water temperature of 100°C to achieve the air requirements. To use a watertemperature of 75°C, more or major ventilation coils are needed.</p><p>The focus of the report is at part 2. In this part, possibilities for low temperature waste heatsolutions are investigated. Those partly aim at specific local solutions for building 64 withsurroundings and on the other part of general waste heat solutions for new buildings andreconstructions in the future. To make these parts possible, the systems for heating and cooling inbuilding 64 have been identified. During this identification, potential savings that are not of wasteheat character have also been observed.</p><p>The most profitable saving concerns the control of temperature for the inner hardening vat. It isthe hardening vat for gas carburizing oven SV16838 that has been studied in this report. Today thetemperature of the hardening vat is controlled very ineffective. The conclusion is that a betteradjustment of the controller would save 180 000 SEK/year with a pay off time around two months.Worth mentioning (SV16838 included), is that there are at least five similar gas carburizing ovens atthe Scania area in Södertälje.</p><p>A pinch analysis has also been done for building 64, with it’s primarily conclusion that the groundheating is violating the pinch rules during long periods of the year. To remedy the ground heatingwill only need a different control and will lead to a saving between 20 000 – 75 000 SEK/year. Tomore accurate determine the saving, an investigation of the ground heating during winter time isneeded. Another conclusion concerning the pinch analysis is that the method for a real scenariorather shows the potential of the system than gives you an optimal solution possible to implement.More actions are to use the exhaustions of the endo gas generators and that the washing andrinsing systems if possible not should be heated with electricity. The exhaustions from the endo gasgenerators have a very high temperature, more then 300°C. If these, instead of hot water boilers,could warm the closely located water for the LPG (liquefied petroleum gas) evaporation, 125 000SEK/year can be saved. Today the hot water boilers are heated with electricity. If the washing andrinsing systems existing electricity heating instead can be heated with secondary heat (˜ districtheating), a save of 500 000 SEK/year is possible.</p><p>For waste heat solutions there are a few different approaches. Close to building 64, the largestpotential to use waste heat is in building 62 and 75, where air heaters are assessed with the largestpotential. In difference to other investigated buildings, building 210 has the possibility to use wasteheat even during the summer. This building is located 1 km from building 64. To use waste water inbuilding 210, a complex net of waste heating will be required where several buildings with asurplus of waste heat can be connected. A net like this has calculated pipe costs of 5, 2 million SEK.The saving for the use of waste heat only in building 210 will be around 1,4 million SEK/year. Thissave corresponds to the air handling systems that occur in part 1.</p>

I målningen kan vi utläsa både inspirationskällor och teknik. Det som betydde mest för Mondrian var färgen (före formen) samt de delar ur teosofin som han plockade efter att ha låtit sig inspireras av Toorop, Steiner och Schoenmaeker.</p>

Dina Isæus-Berlin is an abstract painter. The essay examines an artistic practice, its intentions, methods and connection to aikido. Aikido is shortly presented as are the artistic process - how a painting is made. The studio and the dojo are central places. Knowledge, spontaneity, control, resistance, failure and other principles that affect the individual progress within both aikido and painting are reflected upon. / Dina Isæus-Berlin är en abstrakt målare. Essän behandlar en konstnärlig praktik, dess intentioner, metoder och beröringspunkter med aikidon. Aikidon presenteras i korthet och likaså den konstnärliga processen, hur en målning blir till. Ateljén och dojon är centrala platser. Det reflekteras över kunskap, spontanitet, kontroll, motstånd och misslyckande liksom andra principer som påverkar den egna utvecklingen både inom aikidon och måleriet.

Uppsatsens ämne berör användningen av intermedialitet för att förmedla ett narrativ i Dante Gabriel Rossettis verk Lady Lilith och Sibylla Palmifera. I uppsatsen undersöks hur Rossetti problematiserar den samtida kvinnosynen. Med intermedialitet menas användningen av två medier i samma verk, i detta fall sonett och måleri. Syftet är att undersöka hur Dante Gabriel Rossetti problematiserade den rådande tudelade synen på kvinnan som antingen ond eller god. Den intermediala teorin som används bygger på W.T.J. Mitchells teori om relationen mellan bild och text, vad dessa medier tillför varandra samt skillnaden mellan dem. Genom analyser av både text och måleri undersöks de bägge verkens ikonologi. Dispositionen består av tre avsnitt. Det första avsnittet fungerar som en bakgrund till de övriga två avsnitten. Avsnitt två och tre består av enskilda analyser av de bägge verken med tillhörande texter.  Resultatet visar att Dante Gabriel Rossetti med dessa verk problematiserar dualiteten i den samtida kvinnosynen. Genom att använda mytologiska kvinnogestalter skapar Rossetti en mer nyanserad bild av synen på kvinnan under den viktorianska epoken. Användningen av sonett och måleri tillsammans fungerar väl i Lady Lilith då verket får en fördjupad inre mening. I dubbelverket Sibylla Palmifera relaterar dock sonett och målning inte lika bra med varandra.

This has not been possible until now, about 40 years after the postmodern turn against modernism in art, and the closely connected formalism. This new approach is represented in this paper by the Swedish contemporary artists Ann Edholm and Jacob Dahlgren. Modernist artists such as Kasimir Malevich and Piet Mondrian receives a new relevance to contemporary abstract art. This opens up for a new, more complex and more dialectical understanding and re-evaluation of modernism and its abstract art.This is shown by a historical and chronological investigation which highlights modernist abstract art, formalism, and the critical and post-modern Neo-geometric ‘abstraction’ of the eighties. This background has been a way of proving how modernist abstraction still can possess a validity for contemporary art today, and even vitalize a continuation for abstract art as a contemporary practice.</p>

During this decade he became one of the most well known young artists associated with postmodernism.</p><p>The thesis is divided into three parts, where the first part examines different influences and aspects of the art of Lars Nilsson, as well as the contexts he was a part of. This is performed through a chronological as well as a categorizing presentation, based upon different exhibitions where Nilsson participated during the 1980s.</p><p>In the second part the subject is the Swedish art field, and how Lars Nilsson came to be part of a a new established category of a young generation of artists, mostly born in the 1950s, who were associated with youth, postmodernism and contemporaneousness. This part also puts attention to the importance of Lars Nittve, then art critic and curator, in introducing postmodernism, as well as establishing this new categorization of artists in Sweden.</p><p>The last part of the thesis studies four different group exhibitions, and how they all exemplify how "a younger generation of artists" were to be connected with notions of postmodernism and contemporaneousness through curatorial practice. Lars Nilsson participated at the thirst three of these exhibitions. This is followed with a last group exhibition, where the idea of younger artists as <em>the</em> most contemporary were to be questioned. The thesis ends with a summary and a discussion.</p>
