Slovinský mediální systém v komparaci s modely Hallina a Manciniho / Slovenian media system in Hallin and Manicini's model

Bendlová, Kateřina January 2011 (has links)
The Master thesis Slovenian media system in comparison with Hallin's and Mancini's models tries to analyze the media system in Slovenia in order to conclude whether it can be classified into one of the models defined in the book Comparing media systems: three models of media and politics. The theoretical part deals with analysis of three models (polarized pluralist, democratic corporatist, liberal) and their main features. The second section then analyzes the various segments of the Slovenian media (print media, radio, television) and other aspects essential for comparative analysis, such as professionalism, regulation, media ownership and political parallelism. The paper seeks a critical evaluation of all these aspects and their inclusion in the broader context of media and all- society environment. Emphasis has been placed on the characteristics and trends typical of the Slovenian media system, in particular the consequences associated with "wild privatization" of the media and the subsequent interconnection of the world media and politics. Comparative part is based on the effort to determine whether these characteristics Slovenian media system fully belong to any of the presented models, or to what extent can similarities be regarded as significant.

Proměny hlavní zpravodajské relace Události a regionálního zpravodajství ČT od roku 2007 do roku 2012 / Transformations of the evening news Události and regional news of ČT since 2007 to 2012

Bednářová, Martina January 2013 (has links)
The main aim of the master thesis Transformations of the evening news Události and regional news of ČT since 2007 to 2012 was to introduce news in context of normative theories, television news in context of Czech Republic, their development and current conditions. Theoretical frame of the thesis was political economy of communication, outlining the background of news production, and contributing to understand news issues. Essential part of the thesis was the combination of quantitative and qualitative analysis used as a tool for examining news objectivity at evening and regional news of public television Česká televize since 2007 to 2012, its development and differences between evening and regional news. Objectivity was researched through relevance and uncovering bias by visual balance and neutral presentation. It was found that evening news Události dedicate most of the time to foreign, occasional and political events, 35 % of news showed elements of siding, for example by dramatization, possible reality distortion and using expressive expressions. In terms of regional Brno's news Události v regionech it was found that the highest relevance was assigned to points of interest news and local news, 17 % of news showed elements of siding using mostly evaluative expressions. In case of evening news...

Postavení a role normové autority v internetových fórech. Analýza korektur na základě Teorie jazykového managementu. / To the Position and Role of the Normative Authority in the Internet Forums. An Analysis of the Corrections in the Context of the Language Management Theory.

Šimčíková, Lucie January 2013 (has links)
My thesis deals with the status of German language standard and is based on research in the internet discussion sites (internet forums), that deal with the topic of language. The internet forums that I've chosen offer help in learning a foreign language, in our case German. The help is provided either by proofreading or by answering the specific questions. This thesis is based on Ulrich Ammon's model of four social forces and the theory of language management. Next to the instances, which according to Ammon determine the standard, I included the participants of discussion, who decide what is standard too and thereby affect those for whom isn't German the native language. The analysis will be carried out on the basis of the proofreading of model texts. With the help of the language management theory I will discuss with the proofreader in the comments their selected (or not selected) option. The aim of my work is to observe the behavior of normative authority in relation to the codified norm, whether they know and follow it. Furthermore, I am interested in the social background and language abilities of the participants, which I'll find out by using the questionnaires.

Komparativní analýza veřejné sféry na internetu a v tištěných médiích / Public sphere in printed media and on Internet: comparative analysis

Čížková, Lucie January 2013 (has links)
This thesis presents an analysis of the public sphere in the environment of two different media types. The analysis is performed on the basis of the extent of different participants in the media contents which were related to the declaration of the ban on selling alcohol spirits in the Czech Republic in September 2012. The theoretical part of the paper is focused primarily on the definition of the basic concepts, such as new and traditional media, the public and the public sphere, then also on normative theories in general, along with a more detailed view on the normative theory of the public sphere, within which the paper is focused on participatory and discursive model of Jürgen Habermas. The second part of the paper provides on the basis of quantitative research, which was preceded by qualitative analysis, an empirical comparison of the extent of different participants and their access to the content of both media types. It also provides an overview of applied topics and contextual frameworks through which was a declaration of the ban on selling alcohol spirits in the media reported. In the conclusion, there is a statement which is based on the evaluation of the collected data. It was concluded, that the public sphere in the internet environment is not, considering the extent of participation of...

Stanovení základních norem Jebsen-Taylor testu u zdravých osob / Determination of the Basic Normative Data of the Jebsen-Taylor Test in a Non-Clinical Population.

Bačová, Eliška January 2016 (has links)
Motor skills disorder of upper limb motor disorders is currently a frequent reason for large population disability. That is why it is necessary to adress this issue and look for possibilities of proper evaluation and therapy. One of the standard methods is Jebsen- Taylor test (JTT). This thesis deals with theoretical aspects of the Jebsen-Taylor test and presents results of the research verifying psychometric characterictics of the test as well as influence of demografic characteristics on the performance in the test. The theoretical part deals with motor skills disorder that are closely related with the test. The practical part presents results of the research using the sample of nonrandomised Czech non-clinical population. The aim is to create basic norms of the Jebsen-Taylor test and this particular population. The norms were created on a sample of 180 persons separately for men and women divided into three age groups (20-59, 60-75, 76-99). The age of the participants influences the results in most subtests of the Jebsen-Taylor test. With the increasing age, an average time of particular subtests increases, too. The gender influence was not notably manifested in most subtests. In the group of men the performance of the upper limb showed significant difference. On the other hand, in the group of...

Being a woman with autism spectrum disorder : A qualitative literature study of the experience of living with ASD and its influence on self-image

Jörlid, Linnea, Lindh, Linnéa January 2019 (has links)
Being a woman and living with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) involves double difficulties. Women need to put up with gender-normative demands on how women should be and women with ASD also face difficulties when trying to live “as others”, despite their symptoms. In this thesis we aim to, from an intersectional perspective, study how women with ASD handle gender-normative demands in combination with the maintenance of a good self-image and relationships with others. Our study is a qualitative literature study in which the empirics are based on autobiographies written by, or in collaboration with, women with ASD. The results, concerning the difficulties that women with ASD face, go hand in hand with what previous studies show; women with ASD are shown to mask and imitate their surroundings and theirself-image often change when being diagnosed. Our addition to previous studies is the critical approach to how researchers refer to and study women with functional variation. We find a unilateral perspective insufficient and stress that an intersectional perspective is needed to understand the difficulties women with ASD face. Functional variation or gender alone does not give a full perspective. In our study we therefore have an intersectional, multidimensional, perspective and show that the difficulties women with ASD experience are not only related to their diagnosis but also to their gender.

Etude de l’interaction mécanique entre un dispositif médical implantable actif crânien et le crâne face à des sollicitations dynamiques / Analysis of the mechanical interaction between an active cranial implantable medical device and the skull subjected to impact loadings

Siegel, Alice 05 April 2019 (has links)
Active cranial implants are more and more developed to cure neurological diseases. In this context it is necessary to evaluate the mechanical resistance of the skull-implant complex under impact conditions as to ensure the patient’s security. The aim of this study is to quantify the mechanical interactions between the skull and the implant as to develop a finite element model for predictive purpose and for use in cranial implant design methodologies for future implants. First, material tests were necessary to identify the material law parameters of titanium and silicone. They were then used in a finite element model of the implant under dynamic loading, validated against 2.5 J-impact tests. The implant dissipates part of the impact energy and the model enables to optimize the design of implants for it to keep functional and hermetic after the impact. In the third part, a finite element model of the skull-implant complex is developed under dynamic loading. Impact tests on ovine cadaver heads are performed for model validation by enhancing the damage parameters of the three-layered skull and give insight into the behavior of the implanted skull under impact. This model is a primary tool for analyzing the mechanical interaction between the skull and an active implant and enables for an optimized design for functional and hermetic implants, while keeping the skull safe.

The complexity of organizational commitment in temporary work employment

Masic, Admir, Karlsson Axelsson, Daniel January 2019 (has links)
The purpose of this study was to, examine how full-time temporary workers estimated their affective organizational commitment towards their temporary work agency and their client organizations. The study also examined whether the affective commitment competed or co-operated between the two companies and how temporary workers estimated the normative and continuance commitment. Furthermore, the study also examined if aspects such as age and contract duration had any impact on the temp workers' organizational commitment in the three commitment-scales. A total of 114 temporary workers from two global temporary work agencies participated by answering a web survey with two identical parts with 11 statements for each organization. In order to see if the presentation-order had any impact, 46 of the respondents started by answering the statements concerning their temporary agency organization and 68 started with the client organization. The result showed a difference on the affective and normative commitment between the temporary agency and the client organization. Temporary workers estimated these two commitment-scales higher for the client organization than for the temporary agency organization. The result also showed that the affective commitment co-operated between the temporary agency and the client organization and that the order of presentation had an impact on the affective commitment-scale. Age and contract duration did not have any impact on the temp workers' organizational commitment.

Direito penal e prevenção criminal: as experiências de São Paulo e Nova Iorque / Criminal law and criminal prevention: the measures implemented in the São Paulo and New York

Vilardi, Rodrigo Garcia 29 May 2014 (has links)
This doctoral thesis aims to investigate the relationship between Criminal Law and crime prevention, especially with regard to the possibility of building a Criminal Policy founded on knowledge produced in the context of Criminology, which is consistent with the principles and guarantees of Criminal Law. The premise that the sole and exclusive mission of the Criminal Law in a Democratic State of Law must be to protect the legal interests which are valuable for the preservation of a given society is presented in the first chapter. This mission, assigned to Criminal Law, should consider the relevant arguments presented during the discussions held with respect to the \"theories of punishment\". Accordingly, despite the existence of relevant agnostic and retributive positions in relation to sanction and Criminal Law itself, the concept of \"limited crime prevention\" is still presented as the most apt to equate the challenges of ius puniendi, as well as ground it. More than a complex theoretical system, in the second chapter, we aim to demonstrate how this concept may be made possible through the construction of a Criminal Policy which, not limited to legal and criminal responses, results from the dialectical relationship between the knowledge produced within Critical Criminology and Traditional Criminology. From this perspective, the idea presented by Winfried Hassemer of replacing a \"normative prevention\" by an \"organizational prevention\" may subsidize the construction of Criminal Policy. To illustrate this theoretical hypothesis, in the third chapter, we analyze measures implemented in the City of New York in order to address the problem of Motor Vehicle Theft and which had positive results, consistent with the concept of \"organizational prevention\", as opposed to the actions developed under the crime prevention of thefts and motor vehicle thefts in the City of São Paulo, which focused on simple changes in rules and only under the aspect of a \"normative prevention\". The distinction of results confirms the hypothesis that criminological studies, based on the concept of \"organizational prevention\", may support the construction of a Criminal Policy that prevents crimes without disregarding the informing principles of Minimum Criminal Law.
