Since routine is the category related to this organization, the present study aimed at analyzing the routine in pre-school education focusing upon its contribution to the development of moral autonomy in children. The specific objectives were: a) to describe the routine of a pre-school class, considering its elements: activities, time, space and pedagogical resources; b) to identify the teacher’s conception about routine and moral autonomy; c) to investigate the contribution of routine to the children’s moral autonomy. The theoretical framework of the study was Piaget’s theory, specifically its book “Moral judgment in children”. Routine was discussed considering studies upon the theme carried out by national and foreign researchers. The study may be characterized as qualitative research which used ethnographic techniques. Data were collected by means of participant observation, interview and documental analysis. Considering the routine, the main results were: a) the schedules were rigid; b) the spaces were inadequate and badly structured; c) the activities were not interesting to the children and d) the pedagogical resources were not diversified. The teacher demonstrated little understanding related to routine and moral autonomy. The data also showed that the elements of routine- activities, time, space and pedagogical resources- as well as teacher’s interactions with the children have not contributed to their moral development. Finally, it is important to emphasize that there is a wide gap between the methodological orientation of the School Pedagogical Project which guides the school’s educational practies and its implementation in the observed pre-school classroom. / A Educação Infantil, como primeira etapa da Educação Básica, requer um currículo plural que deve considerar, dentre outros aspectos, a organização do cotidiano das ações que acontecem enquanto as crianças estão na escola. Desde que a rotina é a categoria pedagógica relacionada a essa organização, este estudo estabeleceu como objetivo geral a análise da rotina na Educação Infantil, enfocando a sua contribuição para o desenvolvimento da autonomia moral das crianças. Os objetivos específicos foram: a) caracterizar a rotina de uma classe de Educação Infantil, com suporte nos seus elementos constitutivos: tempo, atividades, espaço e materiais; b) identificar as concepções da professora sobre rotina e autonomia; c) investigar a contribuição específica de cada um desses elementos para o desenvolvimento da autonomia moral das crianças. Para estudar a autonomia moral, este estudo fundamentou-se na teoria psicogenética, de Piaget, especificamente em sua obra sobre “O juízo moral na criança”. A rotina foi discutida à luz das pesquisas de estudiosos nacionais e de outros países. A pesquisa é de natureza qualitativa e utilizou técnicas dos estudos etnográficos. Os sujeitos foram as crianças de uma classe da pré-escola em uma instituição pública de Educação Infantil e a professora. Para coletar os dados, foram utilizados os seguintes procedimentos: entrevista semi estruturada, análise documental e observação participante. Em relação à rotina, os resultados indicaram: os horários eram rígidos, os espaços inadequados e mal estruturados, as atividades não despertavam o interesse das crianças e os materiais, além de insuficientes, não estavam disponíveis para as crianças. Em relação às concepções da professora sobre rotina e autonomia, verificou-se pouca compreensão e falta de clareza sobre estes temas. Constatou-se ainda que o planejamento e o desenvolvimento das atividades, a organização dos espaços, a distribuição do tempo, bem como as interações da professora com a criança, não favoreceram o desenvolvimento da autonomia moral das crianças. Finalmente, vale ressaltar a existência de total discrepância entre as diretrizes metodológicas da Proposta Pedagógica que fundamenta o trabalho pedagógico da escola.

This paper describes the development of a pre-school child, their relationship with their coevals and adults, acquire of social rules and gives a true picture of the main activity of a child of this age. It also deals with drama improvisation as a method of drama education. It deals with its goals, functions, sorting, models in detail and presents the needs of the pedagogue of drama education and their attitude to children. The text is completed with examples of games, plays and exercises focused on drama improvisation. A great part of the work deals with didactics of drama improvisation. It describes the sources of ideas, assignments of themes and topics, preparation, construction, leading, reflexion and evaluation of drama improvisation. It examines attitude, behaviour and action of a teacher during drama improvisation. It then describes the project and its kinds, project method and education, its advantages, problems and principles. The part of the work is a project focusing on drama improvisation which is carried out in praktice.

Management of children with sexual behaviour problems, between the ages of five to nine years old, by educators and social workers

Magister Artium - MA (Child and Family Studies) / The Management of children, younger than twelve years of age, who pose a risk to other children, remains complex and confusing. When their behaviour includes sexual aggression towards other children, ignorance about how to manage them becomes even more challenging. Society has an expectation that any sexual aggressor should be punished, however, when the aggressor is younger than ten years old, different responses are necessary. The aim of this current study was to explore the management of learners with sexual behaviour problems, within the primary school setting. The main question underpinning this study was: How are children, aged five-to-nine-years, with sexual behaviour problems, managed by social workers and educators? A qualitative methodology, with focus group discussions and semi-structured interviews were used to conduct this study. Educators from primary schools, as well as social workers from the Western Cape Education Department, were purposively selected to form the sample for this study. Focus group discussions were conducted with the educators, while semi-structured interviews were conducted with the social workers.

In recent years parents´ requests have been increasing for the inclusion of two-year-old children into pre-school facilities. Due to this fact Infant Groups have started to exist. There will be an amendment of the Education Act that will come into force in 2020. According to the amendment it will be obliged to educate two-year-old children in the pre-schools. A qualitative research survey which was done by means of observations and interviews was used to summarize the results of this diploma thesis. The first aim was to compare the differences between the provision of childcare of two-year-olds in the Kindergartens and the Infant Groups. The main difference between the Kindergartens and the Infant groups lies in lower amount of children in the Infant groups. The number of pedagogical staff is mostly the same that is why it is not possible to take care of two-year-old children individually in the Kindergartens. The second aim was to compare boarding in the Kindergartens and the Infant groups. It was shown that the menu in the Kindergartens is in compliance with the Consumer basket. The menu is evaluated every month. The evaluation is not obligated in the Infant groups therefore variety of menus was assessed on the basis of repetition rate of particular meals in the school canteen per month. The boarding in the Infant groups is comparable to the Kindergartens in most categories including keeping a recommended water intake. Unfortunately, the main courses have been found severe lack of fresh vegetables in offer in the Infant groups.

Lärares användande av IKT i undervisningen : En intervjustudie med lärare i årskurserna F-3 / Teachers’ Use of ICT in Teaching : An interview study with teachers from preschool class to third grade

Denna studie behandlar lärares användning av IKT i olika ämnen av deras undervisning från förskoleklass till år tre. Genom intervjuer har data samlats in och sedan tematiskt analyserats. Studien fokuseras på i vilket syfte IKT används i undervisningen och vilka faktorer som anses påverka implementeringen av IKT i undervisningen. Vidare jämförs resultatet med tidigare forskning inom området. I studien framkommer att lärare generellt upplever en osäkerhet kring IKT. Det finns även ett behov av bättre struktur och stöd gällande fortbildning kring IKT. Vidare visar resultatet att ramarna för hur lärare arbetar i olika ämnen med IKT är relativt fasta, där många lärare använder IKT på liknande sätt inom specifika ämnen. Studien uppmärksammar också problem gällande likvärdigheten i utbildningen för eleverna med avseende på IKT. Avslutningsvis lyfts några förslag till hur en fortsatt forskning skulle kunna te sig gällande lärares användning av samt fortbildning kring IKT. / This study addresses teachers' use of ICT in different subjects of their teaching from pre-school class to year three. Through interviews, data has been collected and then thematically analyzed. The study focuses on the purpose of ICT in teaching and what factors are considered to affect the implementation of ICT in teaching. Furthermore, the result is compared to the results of previous research in the field. The study shows that teachers generally experience uncertainty concerning ICT. There is also a need for better structure and support for teachers’ continuing education on ICT. Furthermore, the results show that the framework for how teachers work in different subjects with ICT is relatively fixed, where many teachers use ICT in a similar manner in specific subjects. The study also addresses issues regarding the educational equity for students with regard to ICT. Lastly, some suggestions for further research concerning teachers’ further education and use of ICT are highlighted.

The purpose of the study was to provide an idea of the diversity of available children's literature in pre-school and pre-school class. The study was conducted by visiting three preschools and two preschool classes to summarize the range of diversity in their reading corners. During these visits, conversations with the staff also took place to gain their perspective on literature and how they experience collaboration with the libraries. To see the perspective from the other side, there will also be a longer interview with a children's librarian. The result showed that the male main characters were dominant in all departments except one, and that there was only one type of ethnicity that was represented. It also showed that the cooperation between preschool and library was found to be on average positive, while pre-school classes did not have the same opportunity for cooperation. / Syftet med var studien att skapa en uppfattning om hur stor mångfald det finns i den tillgängliga barnlitteraturen i förskolan och förskoleklass. Studien utfördes genom besök av tre förskolor och två förskoleklasser för att summera utbudet av mångfalden i deras läshörnor. Under dessa besök skedde det även samtal med personalen för att få deras perspektiv på litteratur och hur de upplever samarbetet med biblioteken. För att få se perspektivet från andra sidan kommer skedde det även en längre intervju med en barnbibliotekarie. Resultatet visade på att de manliga huvudkaraktärerna var dominerande på alla avdelningar förutom en, samt att det enbart var en typ av etnicitet som fanns representerad. Det visade även på att samarbetet mellan förskolan och biblioteket uppleddes genomsnittligt positivt medan förskoleklasserna inte alls hade samma möjlighet till samarbete.

Considerando a finalidade da pré-escola e a relevância da prática docente para a efetivação do desenvolvimento integral da criança em seus aspectos físico, afetivo, intelectual, linguístico e social, o estudo por meio de pesquisa documental, bibliográfica e entrevista semiestruturada, buscou verificar se a referida Lei interferiu no currículo da pré-escola. Para a realização da pesquisa, construiu-se um referencial teórico que permitiu o conhecimento dos aspectos da história da educação infantil no Brasil e o percurso da pré-escola no município de Franca. A entrevista com os professores e coordenadores pedagógicos da pré-escola e a observação em sala de aula favoreceu o conhecimento das práticas pedagógicas desenvolvidas e o modelo de currículo instituído. A pesquisa em questão também buscou conhecer os resultados da formação continuada oferecida aos docentes para o aprimoramento da prática pedagógica e para a qualidade do trabalho desenvolvido. Os resultados da pesquisa demonstraram que a Lei nº12796/2013 não interferiu no currículo da pré-escola, o qual apresenta um modelo escolarizante que consiste na transmissão de conteúdos e no preparo do aluno para o Ensino Fundamental. A pesquisa, contribuiu, ainda, para a construção de uma proposta de formação continuada aos profissionais que atuam na Educação Infantil, visando assegurar os dispositivos legais previstos no art. Art. 62-A da Lei nº 12.796/2013 necessários a uma educação que respeite as particularidades da infância e favoreça o pleno desenvolvimento das crianças. / The current research Project aims to investigate the implementation, in the Municipality of Franca , of the Law nº 12.796/2013, which makes the free offer of the Basic Education for children over four years, compulsory., as well the organization of the pedagogic practices of the city´s municipal Pre-School education system, from this law. Considering the purpose of the Pre-School and the relevance of the teaching practice for the realization of the integral development of the child in their physical, affective, intellectual, linguistic and social development, the study through documentary, bibliographical research and semistructured interview guide, sought to verify if the law interfered in the Pre-School´s curriculum. For the accomplishment of the research, it was constructed a theoretical framework that allowed the knowledge of aspects of the history of early childhood education in Brazil and the of the pre - school in the city of Franca. The interview with the teachers and pedagogic coordinators from Pre-School and the classroom observation favoured the knowledge of pedagogical practices developed and the model of curriculum constituted. The research in question also sought to know the results of the continued training offered to teachers to Education improve their pedagogical practice and the quality of the work developed. The research results demonstrated that the Law nº 12796/2013 did not interfere in the Pre-School´s curriculum, which presents a learning model which consists in the transmission of content and in the preparation of the student for Elementary School. The research also contributed to the construction of a proposal for continuing education for professionals who work in the Childhood Education, aiming to ensure the legal devices provided by the article 62 of Law nº 12.796/2013 needed for an education that respects the particularities of childhood and encourages the full development of children.

Complex rehabilitative care for pre-school children undergoing c urative stays is the care of which the main task is to promote the health of a child as a whole or, if impaired, to bring it back to normal. A child sanatorium is a health care facility providing long-term preventive care for child patients through its complex therapeutic and rehabilitative methods during the child{\crq}s entire curative stay. It strives for reaching the optimum health condition of a child and for the elimination of possible fallouts. Curative stays are recommended by pediatricians. Generally, curative stays are designed for children between 3 and 15 years of age. They are covered by all health insurance companies. The aim of the thesis was to find out the current possibilities of the use of curative stay offers in the Czech Republic and how the offer of such stays is used, specifically in the mountainous climatic conditions. Also, the work aimed at the factors leading to the fact that some children use the curative stays repeatedly. In order to gather the necessary data to define the aim of the thesis, the method of questionnaire was used and the technique of written questionnaire was used to collect the data. The research used parents and other relatives of the pre-school children who at least once participated in the curative stay together with their child or children. The research was conducted at the Child Sanatorium of Javorník in Šumava during the months of January and February 2007. The hypothesis based on the presumption that the opportunity to use the offer of curative stays for pre-school children is influenced mostly by socio-economic factors was not confirmed. It has been detected that the physicians play an important role in this field. The second hypothesis concerning the repetitive use of the curative stays offer as not being directly linked to the curative effect of the previous stays was also not confirmed because the reasons leading the guardian escort to the decision to send the child or children for a repetitive curative stay are directly linked to the fact that the recently undergone stay has helped the health condition of their child or children.

ADHD v MŠ - jak se rodí diagnóza / The ADHD child at Kindergarten - how the Diagnosis engenders

The thesis is focuced on the origin of the syndrom ADHD and its influence and impact on ensuant life of the pre-schoolers in kindergarten. The main terms connected with ADHD are explained at the beginning of the work, containig terminology, partial symptoms such as hyperaktivity, impulsivity and attention deficit, atc. Furthermore, there are mentioned its possible etiologies, various ways of rectification and treatment and convenient and professional approaches to hyperactive children. The describtion of the the procedures and ways of the revealing and later professional assignment of the diagnosis of this disorder is also mentioned in these thesis. The practical part of the thesis is focused just on the proces and proceeding to the professional assignment of ADHD and its causes and circumstances for this decision , who did that and how the diagnosis influenced life of that child and his/her surroundings.
