Vad är läsfrämjande? : En studie av läsfrämjande projekt på folkbibliotek med stöd från Statens kulturråd / What is reading promotion? : A study of reading promotion projects in public libraries with support from the Swedish Arts CouncilHolmberg, Sabina, Johansson, Anna January 2015 (has links)
The purpose of this thesis was to study the view of reading and reading promotion that emerges in the project presentations from the public libraries that the Swedish Arts Council granted money in 2012. We also wanted to examine how the libraries worked on promoting reading in these projects. To find this out, we used a directed content analysis and analyzed the material with the help of two different theories, one of the views of reading and one of the librarians role in mediation of literature. We found that the view of reading in these projects emphasizes that reading itself is important, the content and how to read is less important. For the non-readers new media can be a way into reading. To create joy of reading was the goal that most libraries expressed. The work with reading promotion was all about new ways of thinking and how to find new ways to reach the readers where they are. The methods could be traditional, like booktalks, or less traditional, like using tablets or joining readers in the forest.

Can anyone work with treatment?Linden, Henrik, Holm, Daniel January 2021 (has links)

: A study of selection criteria in digitisation andaccessibility of phonogram at the Swedish performing arts agencyMartin, Jönsson January 2015 (has links)
This paper discuss the main reasons behind selection criteria indigitistion and accessibility of phonogram at three departments atStatens musikverk (the Swedish performing arts agency). The threedepartments – Svenskt visarkiv (The swedish folk archive), Capricerecords and Elektronmusikstudion (center for electronic music andsound art) – are in different ways working with musical culturalheritage and the purpose is to analyze what underlying factors decidesthe selection criteria process in digitisation and accessibility of therecordings from the departments archives. At first i give some basic facts about phonogram history and nationaland international sound archives and the history of Statens musikverkand the departments, all public authorities. The emperical material, aninformant interview and e-mail interviews, and qualitative documentstudies, is discussed in relation to the theorethical framework createdby Sanna Talja.Based on Taljas perspectives, general education, alternative anddemand, and her discourses about culture and society, i discussdifferent key factors that is important in the selection criteria process, among them the conception cultural heritage, national cultural policy, quality, education, the global music industry, reserach strategies, usercategories and demand.

Skenbar objektivitet : Om jämställdhetsidealens väg in i den medicinska diskursenYxe, Jessica January 2016 (has links)
The aim of this study is to show how the ideas of gender equality in the late 1970 ́s and early 80 ́s were expressed in Swedish medical discourse. The questions asked are primarily how the ideas came to matter in medical discourse as well as the resistance against these ideas. The primary method used is a modified form of discourse analysis, to suit the aim of this study. The study draws upon three Official Reports of the Swedish Government. Prior research has found that ideas of female submission were a dominant part of the medical discourse, as well as the image of the caring mother. Research has also found that the traditional image of male and female as different species were in a profound reform process, due to, for example, the feminist revolutions, in which gender equality became a prioritized part of the international political agenda. This study shows that the resistance to the ideas of gender equality within the medical discourse was still hard to break trough in the early 1980 ́s. The women that were represented in medical studies, as scientists or as a target for research, were minimal or not represented at all – but they who did illustrates how the androcentric ideals of the medical discourse dominated the selection of objects to research, as well as the research itself. This study also shows that, even though the ideas of gender equality were politically accepted, and academic expressions of the opposite opinion were not, the expectations of men and women were still rooted in older ideas of the rational working man and the emotional house wife. För folket, för framtiden : En studie om debatten i riksdagen och medias skildring av införandet av Rasbiologiska institutet 1921 / For the People, for the Future : A Study about the Debate in the Parliament and Media’s Depiction of the Imposition of the Swedish State Institute of Racial Biology 1921Petersson, Emmy January 2017 (has links)
This thesis investigates the debate in the Swedish parliament (Riksdag) and the depiction of the newspapers at the time of the imposition of the Swedish state institute of racial biology in 1921. The thesis also aims to investigate what arguments were used for and against the institute and if the depictions of the newspapers were any different depending of their political standpoints. The investigation is based on material from three national newspapers, a government bill, and the protocol from the debates in the riksdag. The theoretical approach is based on phenomenology and the approach of history of mentalities, in order to see the 1920’s norms and attitudes in the right way. The conclusion of the thesis is that the debate was almost non-existent, both in the newspaper and in the political space. The main argument for an institute was the protection of the Swedish race, whereof the main argument against a state institute were financial and the approach that the institute could be integrated with an already existing department of the Karolinska Institute in Stockholm. The newspapers were quite silent about all this as well and only published the decisions from the riksdag. However, one of them also published an exchange of opinions between Herman Lundborg and C G Santesson, whose debate comprised arguments of the organisation of the institute. The norms and attitudes were found to be more about science and slightly about nationalism, whereas what we nowadays call racism seemed to not be included at all.

The things we keep and use : cultural heritage in government official reports 1997-2004.Kinman, Sarah January 2007 (has links)
The purpose of this master’s thesis is to examine the use of the concept cultural heritage in Swedish governmental cultural policy. Ten official reports, reaching over a time period of seven years (1997-2004) are examined in the following way: What is cultural heritage? What functions/ values does the cultural heritage have? Whose heritage is a cultural heritage? With some simplification you can say that there are two different views on cultural heritage in the documents. The most common way to refer to cultural heritage is a category of chosen historical objects whose preservation is motivated by their function as sources of information and knowledge about the history and development of the Swedish society. It also constitutes continuity, context and belonging. This heritage is equally valuable to all people and its relation to different ethnical and social groups is not brought up for discussion in the documents. At the other end of the scale cultural heritage is in a few documents regarded as a pluralistic collection of heritages. Anything can be cultural heritage if someone claims that it is so. Every group and every individual have the right to a cultural heritage of their own. It is therefore important to give special attention to the heritage of marginal groups, who have often been left out in the traditional historical writing. In these documents cultural heritage is not just a historical matter, but also something that is being created at the present time. It is a source of knowledge, but also a democratic tool.
