VER-SE E NARRAR-SE: OS PROCESSOS DE SUBJETIVAÇÃO DE TRÊS ARTISTAS SURDOS / SEE YOURSELF AND NARRATE YOURSELF: THE PROCESS OF SUBJECTIFICATION OF THE THREE DEAF ARTISTS.Raugust, Mayara Bataglin 14 April 2014 (has links)
This assignment connects itself to the line of research Education and Art and seeks to problematize with the deaf, specially the deaf artists understand themselves such as, for their relationship or contact with the art or for the production and expression or for the display of their work. In order to achieve this, the research relied on three interviews with three artists from different parts of Brazil, and the way each one of them sees himself and expresses his own way of being a subject in the contemporaneity. The art in this research is understood as a device that triggers technologies to create ways and behaviours of the deaf. Acting in the deaf subjects and in their constitution, the art produces meanings through images and knowledge teaching ways of being, behave and being a part of their culture. This way the research connects to the field of cultural studies problematizing the several possibilities of the subject understand himself inside his culture. The art showed itself in this research process as a producer of concepts, subjects, institutions, speeches, developing itself through the narratives of the deaf artists as a device that emerges in this historical time in order to answer the urgency of the practices about the constitution of the deaf subject, here, the deaf subject artist. The deaf artists in this research developed themselves different in their times, places, ways of acting and also in their family relationship. Also in their relationship with the art, these subjects were able to set some type of relationship with themselves and do something with themselves. This do something with themselves meant for some of them search art courses, information and one artistic identity, produce in yourself a way of being an artist among other possibilities of inner transformation of myself.During their lives, the relation between the art and its interior had been transformed by them and also transformed themselves. This way, it was clear that the constitution of the subject doesn t have a nonmoving place and time; it s a process in which it comprehend as a subject of a relationship with yourself.

Existências, insistências e travessias: sobre algumas políticas e poéticas de travestimento / Existences, insistences and crossings: on some politics and poetics of cross-dressingGrunvald, Vitor Pinheiro 10 December 2015 (has links)
This thesis is about politics and poetics of cross-dressing, and especially about regimes of production of the images-body assembled through some practices undertaken by people who dress themselves with clothes associated with the opposite sex. Initially bounded by the fieldwork I conducted with people who call themselves cross-dressers, the research was eventually expanded to encompass subjects who think of themselves out of others existential territories. This expansion was driven by the dynamics of the fieldwork, since some people with whom I did the research came to understand their experiences in a way different than the one suggested by the word cross-dressing, comprehending this practice as either an instantiation of a broader process of transformation or an identity. I aim to think distinct operating regimes of crossdressing and the crossings between different forms of life. I also consider the way some artists took advantage of the cross-dressing in their artistic assemblages in an attempt to access other references out of which these experiences could be understood, beyond or below the medical-legal norms usually taken into account in the studies of people who cross-dress. I also wish to foster an anthropological field quite scarce, namely, the one that gives consideration both contemporary art practices and its intersection with discussions related to gender and sexuality.

Previous issue date: 2014-09-12 / The comics autobiography is a narrative form capable of providing significant views on the self-expression of the man identity and conflicts in the contemporaneousness. This dissertation objective is to study the dimensions assumed by the self of the autobiographic comics, having as corpus the Holocaust testimony in Europe on the 20th century first half, in Maus, by Art Spiegelman(2009); and the familiar disintegration linked to the Brazilian social inequalities nowadays, in Memória de elefante, by Caeto ( 2010). In a context of multiple times and spaces, plurilinguism, metanarrativity, ex-centricity and dilution of the self, the problem which emerges is how the selected graphic novels answer, in their singular syntax, on the contemporary complexity in the autobiographic structure. The hypothesis is that it is possible to apprehend, in autobiographic comics from two different cultures, a common yearning by a self that confront the oppression devices through subjectivation and desubjectivation authorial processes. This research theoretical basis was: Santaella (2012), Eisner (2001, 2005 and McCloud (2004, 2006) for the comics language reading; Lejeune (2008), Miraux (1996), Nigro, Busato e Amorim (2010) for autobiographic topics; Todorov (1982, 2010), Benjamin (1994, 2006) and, specially, Agamben (2007, 2008, 2010) for the contemporary narrative and the (de)subjectivation matters. According to the analysis, our conclusion is that is a fundamental compositional difference between the two autobiographies: the way the author configures his disappearance and dessubjectivates himself in Maus, in opposition to the identity strengthening and subjectivation, in Memória de elefante, as a reaction to the power devices in the urban centers. Although they have different time and space perspectives, the Spiegelman and Caeto autobiographies keep in common the indissolubility between social critics and traumatic personal experiences. They are composed by subjects that live, narrate and write the trajectories of selves who do not fit in themselves anymore, and face, through the comics narrative art, the devices which annihilate the contemporary subject / A autobiografia em quadrinhos é uma forma narrativa capaz de propiciar significativas visões sobre a autoexpressão da identidade e dos conflitos do homem na atualidade.

Previous issue date: 2010-09-10 / This study investigates the influence of information and communication technology
on the current constitution of subjectivities, in an academic context. It started from the
finding that freshmen students, in undergraduate distant courses, encounter
difficulties in their academic performances on account of technology management,
whose domain is required for the contemporary social activities, which justifies it. To
this end, two moments were selected for the dissertation: field documentary and
empirical research. Thus, this dissertation is a result of a hypertextual reading and
writing, though most often physical, at the moment that several sources were
consulted and, not infrequently, referring to one another. Similarly the writing, which
was added up to the ideas taken from various texts, reflected new understandings
and knowledge construction. This kind of focal reading searches specifically relevant
concepts in the object of study in investigations, which ultimately lead to new titles
and authors. This feature ends up producing a very impressive list of references,
both in terms of quantity and quality, the full description of which is not suitable for
abstracts, but is duly recorded at the end, according to the rules of academic style.
Chapter 1, the theoretical background, extends from section 1.1 and its subsection
and deals with societies, technologies and fundamental elements of culture, with a
focus on education. Section 1.2 deals with identity and social relations and is
subdivided into three subsections, which deal with issues of language as a basis in
the constitution of identities and the influence of social relations on this constitution,
and social relationships and technologies in everyday life. Section 1.3 shows that the
WWW as a new dimension of access to the world while section 1.4 describe the
actors in this new scenario, the digital natives and digital immigrants. Item 1.5 is
concerned with digital inclusion and exclusion and 1.6, and its subdivision, brings the
question of alphabetical literacy and digital literacy. Subjectivities and literacies are
the topics dealt with in section 1.7, which closes the theoretical chapter, in which
scholars such as Bakhtin, Deleuze, Foucault, Guattari, Heidegger, Levy, Rheingold,
Votre, Vygotsky and Warschauer stand out. The empirical field research adopted a
methodology that focused on subjects observation studied in situations of academic
context and subsequent interview. It was conducted in the first half of 2010 and had
as subjects studied, two students, a freshman and a veteran from a Pedagogy
university course, in the distance mode, regularly enrolled in the face-to-face unit of
the support pole Unopar ─ University of Northern Parana, Rio Grande -RS, plus a
tutor room and a former student, now graduated, whose idea of inclusion in the group
occurred during the research process. As a result of this study, it was concluded that
the acquisition of literacy, such as the acquisition of alphabetic literacy, exercises a
strong influence on modes of subjectivity. This acquisition is reflected in modes of
subjectivity that interfere directly on the constitution of subjectivity, whether as
A seção 1.3 aponta a WWW
trazem a questão do letramento alfabético e letramento digital. Subjetividades e
subjetividades, quer no aspecto discente, quer possivelmente no relacional/social e
no profissional

Ao introjetar tal sentimento de inferioridad / This paper aims to analyze the constitution of the subjectivity of the social excluded individual in the modernity. Making use of Michel Foucault’s thinking, it tries to demonstrate the phenomenon is given as effect of dominator power, through application of power techniques and tactics, dreamed up to accentuate differentiation among people, based on race, ethnics or economic condition criteria. This differential marking locks some determined groups of people inside social ghettos, in which operate guarding, controlling and punishing mechanisms that guarantee consolidation and maintaining of social exclusion. People like black and poor, being keep off of some vital social goods like education, tend to get insight an inferiority feeling that make them believe they’re not actually right holders. They believe rights are just for people of supposed elite, identified as so by level of instruction, economic or social condition criteria. / Grounded on Michel Foucault’s theorizations, this thesis aims at carrying out a genealogically inspired analysis of practices operated by school, which is here understood as a normalization machine working for the State in the production of inclusive subjectivities. By operating with the concepts of governmentality, normalization, and subjectivation, it analyzes two sets of materials: the first is constituted of education policies in the inclusion perspective, as they have been produced in Brazil in recent years; the second is composed of records of school practices belonging to a State public school. From the analysis, it has been possible to understand inclusion as an imperative in the current political rationale, which, in its alliance with school, finds possibilities of production of subjectivities that fit the life style of contemporary society, which has been generated by the neoliberal governmentality. The school is one of the several places in which such
subjectivities are produced, in adisplacement from disciplinary actions, where the exercise of subjectivation is focused on both discipline and knowledge power relations, to security actions, where it is possible to notice the emergence of a subjectivation focused both on the subject and on one’s capacity for self management, self investment, self analysis, etc. From a specific kind of subject, produced in a modern logic, one that is subjectivated for passivity, obedience, and self discipline, another kind of subject becomes necessary, one that is creative, active, entrepreneur, produced in the contemporary logic. In this sense, this displacement is taken as a possibility condition for the production of inclusive subjectivities that, through school practices, must learn how to manage themselves, increasingly better, thus developing conditions for inclusion and permanence in the economic game of neo liberalism. Considering that due to a security issue everybody should participate in the economy weavings, the concern about the other, which has been naturalized as a matter of moral principles, starts to be understood as a matter of subjects’ self investment. Once everybody develops conditions for inclusion (and permanence) in the economic weavings of neo liberalism, the operation of security, through the alliance between State and school, will have attained its objectives.

Previous issue date: 2014-04-16 / Coordenação de Aperfeiçoamento de Pessoal de Nível Superior / This study is based on a denaturalizing perspective of youth violence, through narratives on young people existence ways, especially those who are forged by the invention of cultural practices on the peripheries. This study aims to identify and analyze, in the light of Michel Foucault s contributions, youth subjectivity ways in contexts of increasing vulnerability. We focused on the analysis of the effects of violence in the production of subjectivities, as well as the strategies by which the young people reverse the periphery stigma. For both, we followed three subjects engaged in different cultural collective activities - marginal literature presentations, hip-hop movement and audiovisual production - during the year 2012 in the districts of Brasilândia and Vila Nova Cachoeirinha in the northern zone of São Paulo state. We conducted interviews in both oral history and ethnographic experiments in the territory in which they resided. When making a written defense, committed to a policy of narrative, we decided to start this thesis from Jorge s story, our main interlocutor and thread. These stories are not only on migrations, land occupations, poverty, violence, but also on creative collective productions, new ways of living woven through aesthetic inventions in the periphery. We point out two different moments, but interconnected which showed the effects of violence in the youth subjectivity ways. The first moment, presented in the Part II, shows as the periphery has emerged as a live-territory and contributed to the construction of existential territories of young people. This territorying is what operates a certain youthful positioning as if the young man, black man and poor man stigma from this place to the emblem, to the pride of being from the periphery. This way, at the second moment, in the Part III, we highlight how these cultural collective activities, such as the Poesia da Brasa poetry presentation and the Cinescadão , invoke a form of resistance, turning the experiences of violence and vulnerable moments lived in the peripheries into ethical, aesthetic and political practices. This way, the adoption of the narratives as a method does not only express a methodological concern about the procedures we used with the subject matter, but also demarcates, primarily, a political stance, an ethos of the researcher in the development of the study: the one which does not separate the production of knowledge / from the writing production subjectivity policy / Esta tese se apoia numa perspectiva desnaturalizadora da violência juvenil, por meio de narrativas dos modos de existência de jovens, especialmente daqueles que se forjam pela invenção de práticas culturais na periferia.

Previous issue date: 2015-02-26 / Coordenação de Aperfeiçoamento de Pessoal de Nível Superior / The objective of this dissertation is to verify the relationship between violence and
education, through the analysis of dissertations and thesis about this issue, published in Brazil
from 2004 to 2013. The outlook of an education leading to emancipation, according to Theodor
Adorno, followed over the whole research. The formulations coming from Peter Berger,
Thomas Luckmann and the authors of the Frankfurt School, have been invoked as theoretical
references. Other writers, together with the researchers of the analyzed thesis and dissertations
and their invoked authors, integrated the clarifying of the scenario about the topic, turning it
more cognizable. The process searched for: a) identify the concepts of violence and the
theorists cited by the researchers, recognizing that language influences the way of approaching
and internalizing of reality; b) analyze the phenomenon of violence as a result of a historical
process of the own society; c) approach from the researches which conditions and mechanisms
contribute to the installation and institutionalization of violence; d) analyze the indicated
recommendations. The observation of the phenomenon in the analyzed research allowed
concluding that the breeding of subjectivity happens through the access to objectivations
knowledge in reality, i.e. from daily life or theoretical constructions. The choice what to
appropriate, the given sense of what is interpreted and the objectivation of reality construct the
individual person. Then, follows the need of a consolidated democracy able to change the
violence scenario. The superficial cultural appropriation inside the relationship between
violence, education and school, can culminate violent actions, which may not be recognized as
such. Therefore, one of the findings was to observe that violence is being used as an institute to
solve problems coming from the difficulties imposed by social daily life, due to the difficulty
to access knowledge able to transcend the problems of immediate reality and increase
consciousness. Education leading to emancipation depends on a democratic symbolic universe
and the recognition of the intrinsic character of education as an appropriation of culture through
toda a investigação.
Disso decorre a
realidade imediata e elevar a consciência.
