Dagens kristna församling är inte bara en kristen gemenskap utan också oftast en organisation med lönebetalda anställda, vilket inkluderar flertalet professioner. Studier som är gjorda inom Svenska kyrkan visar på kommunikationssvårigheter och otydligt ledarskap. Anställda sjukskrivs och slutar sina anställningar. I denna studie belyses en problematik som det inte talas om så mycket i församlingarna. Människor i den kristna församlingen som använder makt för att härska över sina medmänniskor. Kan det verkligen finnas anställda i församlingar i samfundet Svenska kyrkan som använder makt och härskartekniker för att påverka sina arbetskamrater? Syftet med denna studie var att undersöka om och isåfall i vilken utsträckning härskartekniker förekom mellan anställda inom Svenska kyrkan. Syftet var också att undersöka om det var vid någon speciell form av auktoritet härskartekniker förekommer oftare än vid andra auktoriteter och att förstå dem utifrån det weberianska maktperspektivet. Data samlades in genom strukturerade enkäter, vilka distribuerades digitalt till anställda inom ett stift i Svenska kyrkan. Majoriteten av respondenterna angav att de fem respektive härskarteknikerna aldrig eller sällan förekom mellan anställda på deras arbetsplats. Härskartekniker är dock något som 9,7 - 25,3 % av respondenterna ofta erfar på sin arbetsplats och 1 – 3,1 % av respondenterna har dagligen erfarenhet av härskartekniker. Slutsatsen av studien är att det kan konstateras att det förekommer härskartekniker mellan anställda inom Svenska kyrkan. Studien tyder dock också på att härskartekniker inte har blivit en legitim del av sättet att kommunicera och att det finns en möjlighet till förändring och en minskande användning av härskarteknik mellan de anställda.

Socialpedagogik inom Svenska Kyrkans diakonala verksamheter är ett nästintill outforskat fält. Denna studies utgångspunkt är att undersöka hur socialpedagogiskt arbete beskrivs och utförs i Svenska Kyrkans diakonala arbete i form av en soppköksverksamhet där deltagarna till största delen utgörs av asylsökande och papperslösa men också svenskar med eller utan olika social problematik. Det empiriska materialet består i denna studie av deltagande observationer och halvstrukturerade intervjuer. Metoden är kvalitativ med en abduktiv ansats. Den teoretiska ramen i studien bygger på socialpedagogisk teori med fokus på begreppen inkludering, delaktighet och empowerment samt på maktteori med fokus på pastoralmakt. Materialet har analyserats med hjälp av tematisk analysmetod där de övergripande temana blev delaktighet, maktförhållanden i soppköksverksamhete samt handlingsutrymme. Resultatet visar att socialpedagogik bedrivs och utförs i Svenska Kyrkans diakonala arbete i stor utsträckning men att det inte alltid sätts ord på handlingarna.

The purpose of this study is to examine the colonisation of Sápmi though the works of a local priest, by the name of Eric Grape. To do so, this study uses postcolonial theory when analysing the content of the works by Grape. Eric Grape was a priest active in the Lappmarks of northern Sweden in the early nineteenth century and who wrote articles for the Swedish Royal Academy of Sciences. The focus of the study is the othering of the Saami people and their culture, and the colonial production of knowledge that Grape produced about the Saami. Othering is a term by Edward Said and it is about the constructed difference between “we” the European culture and people regarded as the “other”. This term, the study argues, can also be applied when studying the colonial encounters between the Saami and Swedish colonial actors such as Grape. The main result of this study is that Grape portrays the Saami as different and more primitive than the Swedish settlers that occupy the northen part of Sweden, he describes the Saami as childish.

Det finns endast ett fåtal studier i Sverige som berör mellanmänskliga relationer i och kring svenskkyrkliga gudstjänster. Föreliggande studie intresserar sig därför på mänskliga relationer i gudstjänsten och hur de påverkar den. Studien är utförd i en stadsförsamling i en mellanstor svensk stad som erbjuder ett flertal olika gudstjänstformer. Studiens syfte har varit att undersöka om den sociala gemenskapen har betydelse för den svenskkyrkliga gudstjänsten, och – om den har betydelse – på vilket sätt gemenskapen är viktig. Genom en etnografisk metodansats med deltagande observationer och intervjuer har denna undersökning strävat efter att besvara frågeställningen: Vilken betydelse har social gemenskap för den svenskkyrkliga gudstjänsten? Sociala möten mellan personal och gudstjänstdeltagare, samt upplevelsen av tillhörighet diskuteras utifrån ett interaktionistiskt perspektiv. Den ”vi”-känsla som infinner sig vid de olika gudstjänsterna och dess moment diskuteras utifrån teorier om emotioners betydelse för sociala rörelser. I studien framgår det att den svenskkyrkliga gudstjänsten till stor del är uppbyggd kring social gemenskap och därigenom beroende av den.

I uppsatsen analyseras de 17 inledningsord som presenteras i Förslag Kyrkohandbok för Svenska kyrkan 2016 (2016). Uppsatsens syfte är att undersöka om dessa inledningsord är lätta att förstå för en andraspråkstalare. Med hjälp av textanalys undersöks ord, satser och meningars påverkan på inledningsorden, och genom stilanalys undersöks rytm och stilfigurer. Analyserna visar att alla de undersökta dragen är beroende av det sammanhang de presenteras i. Resultatet pekar också på att många inledningsord har en komplicerad interpunktion till följd av att en viss typ av rytm eftersträvas. Detta är det stildrag som framförallt komplicerar förståelsen av inledningsorden ur ett andraspråksperspektiv, precis som svåra ord och långa, vänstertunga meningar med bisatser gör. Det framgår också att de inledningsord som har delar hämtade ur Bibeln avviker från de resterande inledningsorden. Således varierar anledningen till språklig komplikation då inledningsorden har olika karaktär. Slutsatsen är att inledningsordens stilistiska nivå oftast påverkar inledningsorden negativt ur ett begriplighetsperspektiv, eftersom den skapar otydlighet och försvårar förståelsen för texten. På syntaktisk nivå är det långa, vänstertunga meningar och bisatser samt abstrakta ord som komplicerar. Många av kyrkohandboksförslagets inledningsord är icke inkluderande för en andraspråkstalare.

The following study is dedicated to investigate what kind of problems an organisation might stumble upon in the process of implementing a policy related to information security. Alongside investigating the eventual problems occurring in the implementation process of an organisation, the study also sets out to analyse how an organisation can motivate staff in order to follow the guidelines of a policy. The collection of empirical data was done using interviews. In order to seek answers to our research questions a theoretical background is presented that illustrate the need for information security after which motivational theories are applied to our collected data. To summarise the results of the study we find a gap of knowledge between the employees of the organisation. The organisational level of an employee together with the degree of participation in working with a policy seems connected to both the employee’s knowledge of a policy as well as how well the employee are motivated to learn about and follow the guidelines provided from a policy.

This study has examined the content of the Swedish Church's posts on the social network media Facebook and Instagram. The posts were published during September to November 2017, which is about 90 posts. I have also analysed if the posts could be seen as marketing in this particular media form. Rational Choice Theory has served as an overall theory in which I assumed that people make rational decisions in the choosing of their religion. Therefore, I see the content on these sites as a supply of the Swedish church religiosity that people can base their decisions on. Through an inductive approach, themes have been searched for in the posts and analysed through text condensation. The result of the study is that there are six types of published content, grief management, church operation, divinity, entertainment, religious history and informative posts about the Swedish church election that took place in September 2017. These posts can be seen as marketing because the focus in marketing has shifted from emphasis on the product to the consumer. The purpose is now to provide consumers with information that they can base their decisions on. Therefore, when people use the information on these sites in order to make a rational choice of their religion, the post can be seen as marketing of the Swedish Church, but not in cases when people read the post in other purposes.

With this study we aim to learn more about the relationship between digitalization and the swedish church. We have interviewed two priests and two other persons – one who got married about five years ago, and one who, at the time of writing, is getting married in a few weeks. In addition to the interviews we found some earlier research that were relevant to us, which we read and compared to the empirics we got from the interviews. In our study we have taken qualitative research into practice since we want our interviewees to really share their points of view on the organisation’s usage of digital media. We developed a prototype which we used to approach the problems and get knowledge about them. The lo-fi prototype was a website were couples could reserve a date for a wedding at a specific church, as well as plan and frame up their wedding. We found out that there are no perceived need today to digitize the process of reserve and plan a wedding, even if our prototype would ease some aspects of the process. The main reason for this is the importance of meeting in real life, which digitaliation tend to leave out.

The purpose of this essay is to describe some dimensions of the psychosocial work environment for priests and deacons in the Church of Sweden. The essay aims to describe the essay occurrence of a spiritual dimension wich can work as additional support in the psychosocial work environment. With a starting-point in Karasek & Theorell’s (1990) demand-control-support theory, Hochschilds theory (1983) in emotional labor and Collins (2004) theory in emotional energy has this essay searched for the answer in to what extent demand, control, emotional work and stress occurs in the Church of Sweden, and to what extent priests and deacons experience emotional energy and social and spiritual guidance. This was made by quantitative method, 95 paper surveys were answered by priests and deacons. The result of the study shows that there is a reasonable demand level and a high extent of control in the Church of Sweden. It occurred that the emotional work occurre in a high extent and the informants in the survey experienced a low stresslevel. Furthermore the existent of social support was high and there were a high grade of private social support. The informants also experienced an emotional energy and a spiritual guidance in a high grade. The conclusion of the essay was that in the Church of Sweden the social work environment was good for the informants in this survey. Social support and the spiritual guidance contribute the informants to be less responsive to stress-issues
