A ARQUEOLOGIA E A CLÍNICA EM MICHEL FOUCAULT: UMA OUTRA HISTÓRIA / The Archaeology and the clinic in Michel Foucault: an other history

RIBEIRO, Sandro Henrique 19 January 2009 (has links)

As well as an archaeologist, the philosopher digs the soil of a knowledge, place in evidence the layers that were sedimented and avoids the reports of a conventional epistemology, which looks for a justification in rational method, it elects and determines which objects were important in the composition of knowledge area. In Nassaince de la clinique, we can find a marginal history, which is based in different objects and presents another format for the medicine`s history. In this discourse it`s possible to see the records of medical activity, that starting as an attempt of classification for disease phenomenon which in its wild nature, escapes from these formats. The proximity of the eye that sees the disease`s issues with the analytical language and mathematical model of records, it makes possible the emergence of the clinic in an openness area. But it is only with the clinical anatomy medicine gets its strength from positivity, gives new structure to observation that, in physiological settings, are approximate to the other sensory perceptions, creating a revolution in language and the kind of look / Este trabalho parte da L archéologie du savoir e mostra a base constitutiva da análise arqueológica de Michel Foucault, que privilegia o registro dos acontecimentos em sua abertura e apresenta uma história das idéias.

No. of bitstreams: 1 Caroline De Bastiani.pdf: 1257009 bytes, checksum: 9ab2d74703ed004e73e315f48e24d2fd (MD5) Previous issue date: 2014-03-20 / This study aims to highlight the Manuel Puig city perspective as well as the imagery of the city design developed by the author throughout his life, based on the study of living space, memory, national identity and city look that have been recorded in their works through interaction with the arts. The Puig novels A Traição de Rita Hayworth (1968), The Buenos Aires Affair (1973) and Cae la Noche Tropical (1988), present different points of view linked to the various stages of his life. The first project, as an example, puts the reader on the mediocrity of the inhabitants of a town in Argentina, whose ideal reference is the capital city Buenos Aires, which aims New York City as a symbol of chimeric city while refusing his hometown, dismissing it. The third work, when dealing with the lives of two Argentine women who are living in Brazil, puts the caller on a breakup of the protagonists with their home country, showing the beauties and privileges of the city of Rio de Janeiro, while denying the city of Buenos Aires. The works were selected as the corpus of study for presenting elements that enable the configuration of the city imaginary showed by Puig: a cinematographic mark, visual arts, music and poetry. The city perspective of the characters evolves in each of the three novels, in relation to the conception of Argentina as the ideal city, changing as the life of the Argentine writer suffers multiple cultural shock upon contact with the reality of many countries and cities that were passed by him due to exile experienced as a result of the Argentine political moment / Este estudo objetiva evidenciar o olhar citadino em Manuel Puig, assim como a concepção imagética de cidade desenvolvida pelo autor ao longo de sua vida, tendo como base de estudo os espaços habitados, a memória, a identidade nacional, e o olhar citadino, aspectos que foram sendo registrados em suas obras mediante a interação com as artes.

The foreign language teacher´s education has been facing increasingly adverse contexts, showing the need to put new paths for education into perspective and for the building of citizens that are capable and autonomous in the face of a muti-faceted society. With this certainty, it becomes necessary to understand the relationships between educational language policies and language teaching, associated to the teachers´ education. This way, the aim of this research is to identify the formative actions for the continuing formation for teachers of French as a Foreign Language (FLE) in the state of Rio de Janeiro. This study was developed using as theoretical basis the studies about language policy (CHAUDENSON, 1996; CALVET, 2002 e COOPER, 1997), associated with the studies about the continuing education of foreign language teachers (ALMEIDA FILHO, 2006). Through the use of questionnaires given to undergraduates of French at public universities in the state of Rio de Janeiro and with French teachers in different institutions, we have compared the needs and the relevance of this formation for the practice of teaching. We have related these needs to formative actions proposed by the agents in charge of the continuing education. We understand that these actions are part of educational language policies that contribute to language diversity and for the teaching of foreign languages

Psychopathologie du regard et de l'acte dans la clinique du sujet incarcéré / Act and look psychopathology in jailed subject clinic

Roustant, Jean-Philippe 20 October 2017 (has links)
In the modern societies, the answer to the criminal act is a prison sentence. Due to the nature of certain acts, with this prison sentence, some court-ordered treatments (COT) (obligations and injunctions of treatments) have been added. Ethically, this law request and its social asking don’t exempt to think about the prisoner ‘asking, which is the trigger of psychotherapies. There is any retroactivity of the law and of pronounced sentence. For this research, the prisoners were selected on their own asking of care (the court-ordered treatments couldn’t applicate). The asking of the prisoners is therefore a criterion common to them (these prisoners). In this context, the acts have distinguished according to the mechanisms which have governed the nature of the act: recourse of act or acting out. Many experts agree on the existence of premature narcissistic failures. However, discussions persist on the nature of the act and on its aspect, either single dimension or multiple and complex dimensions (objective behavior, social consequences and underlying mechanisms ...). Yet all these theoretical models on narcissistic failures lean on the “recourse to act” as if there was only a simple nature to act.

Derivation of a Look-Up Table for Trans-Critical Heat Transfer in Water-Cooled Tubes

Zahlan, Hussam Ali Mustafa January 2015 (has links)
This thesis describes the development and validation of a look-up table capable of predicting heat transfer to water flowing vertically upward in a circular tube in the trans-critical pressure range from 19 to 30 MPa. The table was based on an extensive and screened experimental database and its trends were smoothened to remove unrealistic scatter and physically implausible discontinuities. When compared to other prediction methods, the present look-up table approximated the experimental data closer in values and trends. Moreover, unlike existing prediction methods, the table applies not only to normal heat transfer conditions but also to conditions with heat transfer deterioration and enhancement. A separate multi-fluid look-up table for trans-critical heat transfer was also developed, which besides the existing water database incorporated new measurements in carbon dioxide; the latter were collected at the University of Ottawa supercritical flow loop under conditions of interest for the current Super-Critical Water-Cooled Reactor designs, for which few water data were available in the literature. Existing fluid-to-fluid scaling laws were tested and two additional sets of scaling laws were proposed, which are applicable not only to the supercritical pressure region, but also to the high pressure subcritical region. The multi-fluid table is applicable to water at conditions of normal and abnormal heat transfer, but its applicability to model fluids is restricted to the normal heat transfer mode.

Voir et savoir dans l'Antiquité gréco-romaine : analyse de mythes / Seeing and knowing in Greco-Roman ancient times : analysis of myths

Piralla, Elodie 07 November 2014 (has links)
Greco-Roman myths Ancient people’s beliefs and mental conceptions. Thus, theanalysis of myths seems to be an area of work at once pertinent to analyzing thelinks between Seeing and Knowing, and innovative because this approach to theways of thinking in Antiquity permits one to broach an aspect of the Greek man thathas been studied little until now. Twenty myths and their variants, forming a bodyof more than a hundred texts, gathered from around thirty authors, constitute thebeginning of an investigation on the role of sight in knowledge, approached fromdifferent angles : What could be seen of divinity ? What was forbidden ? How didmyths convey the values of the Ancients ? To what extent did they participate in theformation of the Greek man ? The whole answers the main objective consisting ofbetter grasping Ancient people’s mental conceptions to understand them better

Santos, Pedro dos January 2013 (has links)
This thesis approaches Alberto Caeiro’s poetry, fictitious poet created by Fernando Pessoa, whose work is gathered into the titles The Keeper of Flocks, The Amorous Shepherd and Detached Poems, from the idea that his looking to the real is a process of inquiry on the limits of knowledge and on the constitution of human experience of reality, on the sign, on the nature of poetic language and of language in general. For this analysis, I use Peirce's Semiotics, Saussure's Linguistics, Benveniste's theory of language, Fernando Pessoa’s poetic of sensations, works of Perrone-Moisés, beyond other authors, as Seabra, Dessons and Meschonnic. Caeiro's poetry is interpreted as a struggle against limits imposed by mediation of the sign, struggle that is metaphor of this poetry, which is also metaphor of that struggle. Aware of the non-transparency of language as photograph of reality and thought, Caeiro makes this condition object and instrument of his speech. In this process, the langue is rethought and recast in its fundamentals, reaching at the limits of its capacity to signify and at the limits between what is and what is not poetry, and between what is and what is not langue. The notion of arbitrary of linguistic sign and the dichotomy of langue and speech are reconsidered, based on the idea of limitation of the arbitrary of Saussure and the ideas of enunciation and discourse of Benveniste. Caeiro's poetry is taken in the field of language, and presented as a result of an operation of homology between langue and other systems, thus being capable of evoking its object. Poetic discourse is still interpreted like a saying that it is doing, but it is not so particular in order to be a semantic without semiotic, because it is art that is made into the langue, which differs from the non-verbal arts. Poetic language has the capacity to accentuate the features of language in general, being useful for understanding the linguistic phenomenon. Caeiro is not only a poet of sensations, because intellectualization makes part of his creation and of his poetry. He is not also the poet of things: the real is not the object of this poetry; it is rather a means to convey the poetic emotion that is built, furthermore, on your own saying. Coherent with a subject made of aspects that attempts to reconcile in him the unity and multiplicity of the real, Caeiro’s language is constituted of internal tensions. Discursive and poetic speeches integrate his saying. The fight of Caeiro is a searching, but he does not find the solution. He is a pause of enchantment.

The Just One Look Method : The Act of Inward Looking and the Self-Directed Attention Exercise

Lindström, Niklas January 2021 (has links)
The aim of this study was to examine personal experiences of an alternative method for improving mental health and well-being called The Just One Look Method (JOLM). Data were collected and analyzed by qualitative content analysis of eight semi-structured interviews of JOLM users resulting in three main themes: The Act of Inward Looking (AIL), The Self-Directed Attention Exercise (SDA) and Consequences of JOLM. The main results where that AIL may offer an additional aspect and definition of the concept of self, a kind of subjective sense of self with possible implications for the field of consciousness science. And that looking at that sense of self may influence attention with possible positive consequences for mental health and well-being. JOLM was contrasted theoretically with traditional attention-based methods for achieving better mental health with a particular emphasis on Buddhist meditation. Further research was suggested to investigate more causal relationships between AIL and SDA and between JOLM and mental health.

APPLYING UAVS TO SUPPORT THE SAFETY IN AUTONOMOUS OPERATED OPEN SURFACE MINES

Hamren, Rasmus January 2021 (has links)
Unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) is an expanding interest in numerous industries for various applications. Increasing development of UAVs is happening worldwide, where various sensor attachments and functions are being added. The multi-function UAV can be used within areas where they have not been managed before. Because of their accessibility, cheap purchase, and easy-to-use, they replace expensive systems such as helicopters- and airplane-surveillance. UAV are also being applied into surveillance, combing object detection to video-surveillance and mobility to finding an object from the air without interfering with vehicles or humans ground. In this thesis, we solve the problem of using UAV on autonomous sites, finding an object and critical situation, support autonomous site operators with an extra safety layer from UAVs camera. After finding an object on such a site, uses GPS-coordinates from the UAV to see and place the detected object on the site onto a gridmap, leaving a coordinate-map to the operator to see where the objects are and see if the critical situation can occur. Directly under the object detection, reporting critical situations can be done because of safety-distance-circle leaving warnings if objects come to close to each other. However, the system itself only supports the operator with extra safety and warnings, leaving the operator with the choice of pressing emergency stop or not. Object detection uses You only look once (YOLO) as main object detection Neural Network (NN), mixed with edge-detection for gaining accuracy during bird-eye-views and motion-detection for supporting finding all object that is moving on-site, even if UAV cannot find all the objects on site. Result proofs that the UAV-surveillance on autonomous site is an excellent way to add extra safety on-site if the operator is out of focus or finding objects on-site before startup since the operator can fly the UAV around the site, leaving an extra-safety-layer of finding humans on-site before startup. Also, moving the UAV to a specific position, where extra safety is needed, informing the operator to limit autonomous vehicles speed around that area because of humans operation on site. The use of single object detection limits the effects but gathered object detection methods lead to a promising result while printing those objects onto a global positions system (GPS) map has proposed a new field to study. It leaves the operator with a viewable interface outside of object detection libraries.
