[ENG: Starting from the arrangement of a teaching activity especially arranged, the research investigates the production of musical and / or visual artifacts developed (individually or in small groups) by 13- and 14-year-old students who attend the first level of the secondary Italian school (Scuola Secondaria di Primo Grado). The development of the study has been based on the idea that these productions, carried out through an interdisciplinary action, can reveal a peculiar metacognitive quality of thought. The research method has adopted some Research-Action strategies, and is based on a hermeneutic-interpretative approach, whose analytical practices have been derived from the critical, aesthetic and semiological field. The systemic complexity of the survey suggested the adoption of an approach that can be defined as ecological. The results of the study led to identify a particular quality of thought, expressed at an operational and sensory level and therefore called sensitive metacognition. In this way the research intended to strengthen the existing relationship between creating and understanding-knowing, highlighting the ambivalent processuality that is reciprocally expressed by "give form to thought" and "give thought to form". The findings can be useful to understand the educational value of the building processes of an artistic identity, which is a necessary profile to identify the traits of a complete personality for students at the end of compulsory education.]

[en] AESTHETICS AND POLITICS: A DIALOGUE BETWEEN JACQUES RANCIÈRE AND RICARDO BASBAUM / [pt] ARTE E POLÍTICA: UM DIÁLOGO EPISTOLAR ENTRE JACQUES RANCIÈRE E RICARDO BASBAUMPATRICIA DE SOUZA MATIAS 20 April 2020 (has links)
A política acontece, antes,
[en] This dissertation aims to present and discuss the relationship between art
and politics from Jacques Rancière s theoretical propositions in dialogue with the
work Would you like to participate in an artistic experience? by visual artist
Ricardo Basbaum. The elaboration of this dialogue, understood here as a
philosophical principle and creation, took place through letters, between Basbaum
and Rancière, in which, from the episode NBP donation (action performed by
the Collective Vaca Amarela in the proposition Would you like to participate in
an artistic experience?), the relationship between aesthetics and politics, the
roles of the artist and the spectator in the art circuit are discussed. For Rancière,
the politicity of works of art does not lie in their ability to reveal the structures of
domination or political conflicts or to uncover alternatives and solutions. Politics
happens rather when dissent occurs in Sensitive Sharing, that is, in the implicit
configuration that defines places and forms of participation in a common world,
which determines what is visible, audible, and what can be said, thought, or done.
Art is political not for defending such or any cause, but as it mobilizes a complex
set of relationships. The consequence of this formulation is that the very notion of
work as an object must be extended to the idea of the regime of the arts as an a
priori that defines the whole network of relations and articulations around art.
Thus, no political intentions or motivations will be scrutinized in the work
Would you like to participate in an artistic experience?, What we want to think
about is how Basbaum reconfigures the sensible and therefore his work is
political.

[pt] FRUIÇÃO FONOGRÁFICA NA ERA DO STREAMING / [en] PHONOGRAPHIC FRUITION IN THE STREAMING ERARAFAEL DE OLIVEIRA PECANHA ORTMAN 24 June 2024 (has links)
[en] At the end of the last century, the appropriation of two new technologies by the general public disrupted the recording industry. But the widespread sharing of mp3s over the internet would not only impact the business of major record companies, but also the very function of music listening. More mobile, extensive and flexible, phonography becomes virtually ubiquitous, gaining new potential, revealing other aspirations by the listeners. For more than a decade, listening to recorded music has not been subject to institutional monetization and has been an activity without a specific project by the industry. Music streaming platforms,by Spotify s leadership, emerge in this context, converting what was a product into a service and conceiving a new concept for the phonographic experience. In this new business model, listening to music with high symbolic value for aesthetic enjoyment, an object of interest for a passionate public, loses space to situated, functional listening, in which music associated with the user s routine and mental state adds value to the data collected in the programmatic advertising market. The loss of centrality in the target audience and the corporate vision of phonography indicates the alienation of the music fan by the industry itself. This exploratory research is intended to investigate how this niche feels in relation to the current context and how it addresses its needs for phonographic enjoyment through dedicated listening. To this end, in addition to a bibliographical review aimed at examining the logic on which streaming platforms operate, their business model and the role of the fan in this scenario, we interviewed 40 individuals aged 18 to 70 who identify themselves as music fans. If our research indicated that this niche uses platforms for dedicated listening, the use of other resources is significant, such as the prevalence of physical media, especially vinyl, and the use of audiovisual media to obtain an aesthetic experience.

PER UN'ESTETICA DELLA PERFORMANCE TEATRALE POSTDRAMMATICA: LINEE TEORICHE E ANALISI DI TRE RE-ENACTEMENTS, DI JAN FABRE E ROBERT LEPAGEATIE, SARAH LAURA 25 March 2015 (has links)
Il presente lavoro cerca di avvicinarsi alla complessità dell'attuale status quaestionis della performance teatrale, con uno sguardo e una prospettiva estetica, rivolto in particolare alla drammaturgia postdrammatica degli ultimi trent'anni; uno sguardo che trova nello studio analitico di tre re-enactements – This is theatre like it was to be expected and foreseen (1982; 2012) e The Power of Theatrical Madness (1984; 2012) di Jan Fabre, seguiti da Les Aiguilles et l'Opium (1991; 2013) di Robert Lepage – un luogo privilegiato di osservazione. / This research tries to approach the complexity of the current status quaestionis of theatrical performance, with an aesthetic perspective focused on the postdramatic theatre of the last thirty years; a look that finds in the analysis of three re-enactements - This is theater like it was to be expected and Foreseen (1982; 2012) and The Power of Theatrical Madness (1984; 2012) by Jan Fabre, followed by Needles and Opium (1991; 2013) by Robert Lepage - a privileged place of observation.

Previous issue date: 2008-11-26 / Conselho Nacional de Desenvolvimento Científico e Tecnológico / This study is about the urgency of an ethical and aesthetically mindful School for the humans who compose it. It s based on the indigenous myth of The Stone Home , of the Mỹky people. In this myth, House and Way appear like archetypes that intertwine themselves with the stillness and the wager, as who s dreaming of Walking from the Home to the hope that will be the construction of the coziness. The desire inside this work is a School that can be a cozy place. In this School, living together with the Other, we wagered in the not-yet dream, that will only be extant, if we leave Home and, from it, start an ethical-aesthetical way of living. The School is the necessary ethos of developing life in its totality; it is the Home from where students gaze at the way and build possible dreams, pro-ject the possible Utopia. Finally, a curriculum that rouse to the delight, then the desire of this Walking will be, itself, Aesthetic. Otherwise, it will not be creative Walking, it will be blunting. Similarly, the aesthetical dimension is, necessarily, an opened Way; it is curriculum. Walking is aesthetically building curriculum. This work´s purpose is to transform curriculum into verb and it is certain that it will be ethos for the tempting action of the human way of being educated and educator / Este é um trabalho acerca da premência de uma Escola ética e esteticamente atenta para os humanos que a compõem.

Previous issue date: 2009-05-11 / Secretaria da Educação do Estado de São Paulo / This research has as main objective the analysis of projects 2 and Karlskrona Superchannel of collective Superflex, Denmark, and projects Frivolity and Folly and Fripperies and Trimmings, of the group De Geuzen, the Netherlands, in the light of the theory of relational aesthetics of Nicolas Bourriaud. From the 1990s, Bourriaud set the parameters for contemporary artistic production that is based on and is embodied from social exchanges. Given this theoretical framework, the relevance of the research lies in the fact that focus on productions that use digital cyberspace and language as means of dissemination and transmission of artistic proposals - language and tools then viewed with reservation by Bourriaud. The problem of research, ultimately theoretical, lies precisely in this tension between the internal relational aesthetics of the French philosopher and the chosen corpus. Established relational groups, such as De Geuzen and Superflex, advocate the use of technological devices and declare that, in some art propositions, technology and the Internet facilitate and potentialize objectives of social exchange. Both groups focus more on the network relations provided by the Internet than the technology it encloses. They both make use of the digital language as relational/communicational tools. Thus, it is clear that, unlike what Bourriaud thought, it is not the fact that these groups use the technology that they lose their relational character. For the demonstration of this reflexive perspective, this work has considered alongside the research, the theories of Lemos, Lovejoy, Lévy, Trivinho, Virilio and Baudrillard on cyberculture, and the reflections of Musso, Parente, Prado, and Miltrop Latour, among others, on the networks. The theory of society as a network, designed by Castells and for which contributed Mafessoli, had significant importance in this research. Other important findings were made by direct research on the groups websites and through personal analysis of their works and access to documents submitted by them in symposia and electronic publications. In addition to the corpus of the study, art expressions that use technology and social exchange, as the foundation of production, were also presented, such as the propositions of tactical media and locative media as well as experiments in social networks / A presente pesquisa tem como principal objetivo a análise dos projetos Karlskrona 2 e Superchannel, do coletivo Superflex, da Dinamarca, e os projetos Frivolity and Folly e Fripperies and Trimmings, do grupo De Geuzen, da Holanda, à luz da teoria da estética relacional de Nicolas Bourriaud.

Previous issue date: 2009-06-10 / This PhD thesis aims to point-out and map into our context, artistic tendencies basedon
communication technologies that are supported by sensorial interfaces (triggered by
gestures, touch and sound). The hypothesis realms that human-machines interactions shall be
mediated by bodies-responsive touchless interfaces, without any device aid, like mouse,
keyboards and many others. Our research has been supported by systemic works and
researches - especially from the Claudia Gianetti, Esteves de Vasconcellos and Mark Hansen
ones - and analyses highlighted artworks based-on digital media from Sterlac; Carmem
Franinovic and Yon Visel; Myron Krueger; John Cage and Merce Cunnighan.
Thus, we also propose artistic installations projects and a new approach of interactive
music based-on our own touchless sensorial interface prototype. At our prototype and
artworks, presence, gestuality and movements caused by the interactors, are mapped in a
tridimensional space. Within this environment, people are detected by sensors that transform
the triggered signals onto sound and images (generated and transformed) in real time, that
sign irreversible imbrications between art and communication, and confirm our central issue / Esta pesquisa tem o propósito de pontuar e mapear tendências artísticas
sensoriais (reativas a gestos, toque e som).
Sterlac; Carmem Franinovic e Yon Visel; Myron Krueger; John Cage e Merce Cunnighan.
Neles, a presença, a gestualidade e a movimentação
No âmbito dessas

Previous issue date: 2009-09-29 / This project has the goal to research the influence of women´s magazines on the making up
of the present female beauty patterns. For doing so, the research starts from an analysis of
the beauty patterns in 1960´s, 1970´s, 1980´s, 1990´s and 2000´s run in the advertising of
CLAUDIA and NOVA magazines published by Abril publisher, building up the corpus of this
research. A special attention is given to the use of editing softwares to correct images such as
Photoshop, due to the fact of its extensive use in post production of women´s advertising photos
run in the analyzed magazines; fact incisively proved through interviews with professionals
from PLAYBOY and NOVA magazines that complemented the research. From the theoretical
point of view, this research is based upon Umberto Eco, Georges Vigarello and Nancy Etcoff
works on the history of beauty; the work of Lucia Santaella on the approach of the forthcoming
post human phenomenon; to support the ideas of analysis on the politics of the body in the
context of the digital culture the works of Mark Dery, Nízia Villaça and Paula Sibilia were
used. Through the theory that the pattern of present female beauty is part of an image, women´s
appearance, their activities and other elements such as colors and images were analyzed in
the publicity ads. The analysis show that the exposure to the advertising images of women
mechanically perfect, changed and corrected through the use of editing images softwares,
impose to real women a naturally impossible beauty pattern leading them to search for solutions
to make their bodies into what the Photoshop makes in advertising. At the end, based upon
the corpus of the research and in the light of its bibliography, it is concluded that the present
beauty pattern became a stereotype and it suffers the influence of the means of communication
and the new technological scenery and it is ruled by the images projected in advertising. Those
are images that go through several interventions of editing and correcting softwares that lead
several women to submit themselves to surgical and chemical interventions with the purpose of
drawing closer to the image shown on the means of communication / Este projeto tem como objetivo pesquisar a influência das revistas femininas na formação do

Previous issue date: 2009-03-06 / Coordenação de Aperfeiçoamento de Pessoal de Nível Superior / As the artistic movements, the act of story telling has changed considerably due to technical advances. Mobile devices have influenced the creation of unusual narratives that investigate, among other things, the relationship between space and individual. This essay intends to discuss the changes that this relationship has suffered due to the spread of pervasive computing, and how these changes enabled the emergence of new trends in aesthetic technology. Mobile devices of communication re-invent urban environments, such as multiplayer connected environments independent of the geographical position and physical presence, encouraging the emergence of hybrid spaces, which is defined by the disappearance of borders between physical and virtual and created by a constant mobility of users who use handsets. As theoretical support, the thinking is based on studies of André Lemos, Lúcia Santaella, Milton Santos, Pierre Lévy, and artists such as Jeremy Hight, the English Blast Theory. The essay intends to introduce a scenario of aesthetic technology based on mobile devices and the public spaces, and through an specific case show how is the relationship between narrative and technologies in hybrid spaces / Assim como os movimentos artísticos, o ato de narrar, de contar histórias, também se transformou consideravelmente com os avanços técnicos.

[en] BEAUTY AND DEATH: A PSYCHOANALYTIC APPROACH ON AESTHETICS AND THE FEMININE SUBJECT / [pt] O BELO É A MORTE: UMA ABORDAGEM PSICANALÍTICA SOBRE A ESTÉTICA E O SUJEITO FEMININOSERGIO AGUIAR DE MEDEIROS 26 July 2005 (has links)
[en] In order to build up the hypothesis that aesthetics is a
strategy to alleviate
anguish and to consubstantiate desire, the author seeks to
set up a statute for the
psychic system. In the field of the subject, aesthetics
would be part of the
primary narcissism, a moment when the formation of the Ego
is witnessed by an
image that lends materiality to the subject and to the
presence of alterity. To
design a perimeter for the void and to be able to see it
is to bestow sense to
existence and to restrain the anguish of death. Aesthetics
would serve the cause
of the desire. From scenes of manifest dreams to the image
of the erotic object,
desire can not dispense with the shape which will grant
form to its illusion. It
would be incumbent on aesthetics to present the
configurations of the repressed
and to redeem the creativity of the polymorphic infantile
perversion. By means
of works of art the author presents aesthetics as a
relation between the subjects,
mediated by anguish and desire. Investigating the sense of

aesthetics regarded as beautiful, one analyses its role at
the present time. Using
as a focus the contemporaneous feminine subjectivity, the
author points out its
double relation with image. Whereas, on one hand, there is
an aesthetic
discourse expressed by the media making up a body intended
for consumption,
on the other hand there would be another, an aesthetic
commandment stated by
the feminine superego imposing the regard of the Other as
compensation for or
negation of castration. The author concludes his approach
of what he named as
Infirmities of Beauty by identifying two distinct groups,
one made up by
subjects who seek the death of the body as a strategy for
the survival of the Ego.
And another made up by those who adhere to the
contemporaneous aesthetic
message and are addicted to visibility.
