Aprendizagem musical colaborativa mediada pelas tecnologias digitais : motivação dos alunos e estratégias de aprendizagem / Music collaborative learning mediated by digital technologies : students motivation and learning strategies

Cernev, Francine Kemmer January 2015 (has links)
This study aimed to investigate the music collaborative learning and the motivation to learn using digital technologies in the context of basic education. The theoretical framework was built from the discussions on collaborative learning and the motivation of students. The investigative look of music collaborative learning using free digital technologies, sought to understand how these musical practices occur in the classroom and how its use can contribute to music education in school. By working from the perspective of a study that includes motivation, supported psychological approach to Self-Determination Theory (STD) with in emphasis of psychological basic needs of these students. The methodology used was action research, outlined from the design of systemic integral action-research proposed by André Morin (2004). Classes were planned in order engagement between students, teachers, the physical possibilities of technological resources offered by the school and by interactions offered by cyberspace. The data collection involved: 1) semi-structured interviews with the teacher; 2) focused groups with students; 3) online questionnaires; 4) participant observations with audiovisual records; and 5) records of production and written documents. Nvivo was used to support data analysis. The results showed the different strategies that students adopt in the classroom, the relations between the students and the digital technologies and the motivation of students for music class in this context that could supply the psychological needs of students, although not all present autonomous motivation to learn music in school. This research intends to contribute with the music education to demonstrate pedagogical possibilities to use the technology in music lessons, not only as a technological applicability, but in a new way of thinking about music education in curriculum and environment contribute to motivation in musical learning.

Kist, Silvia de Oliveira January 2008 (has links)
This thesis refers to a case study about the practices of reading and writing of six-year-old children of a literacy class in a public elementary school of Porto Alegre city (RS/Brazil), immersed in a digital quotidian, made viable by One Computer per Student (UCA) project. Its objective was to investigate the practices carried out by students, as well as the possibilities and necessary conditions for the computer to be a tool to make them able to enter the “literate world”, overcoming the strictly scholar relationship with the writing, besides analysing the implications for the conceptualization process. It was presupposed that the technological saturation in a school in the modality in which UCA project was implemented (each child with his own laptop) would change the practices of reading and writing carried out by students. Therefore, these practices of the students were examined according to two units of analysis: practices proposed by the teacher and proposals carried out spontaneously. For each unit, three categories were built, related to literacy, alphabetization and digital fluency. The case study has also presented a third unit, with the analysis of five emblematic cases of students which were representative to the investigation. As typical in a case study, the research has begun with a theoretical proposition, based on previous experiences of the researcher and on the theoretical framework used, which was gradually compared to the data found in the field. At the end of the study, it was considered that the proposition should be adjusted emphasizing the pedagogic proposals for children in initial process of written language learning. It is concluded that daily use of laptops in a network will allow children to use language in real situations, building a symbolic environment propitious to the comprehension of the function and meaning of written language (literacy) and, thus, will create the necessity of understanding of its structure (alphabetization), facilitating the conceptualization process, as long as it is incorporated to appropriate proposals and pedagogic interventions to the needs and possibilities of the child. In the class which was analysed, some conditions were necessary for that to happen. The work by projects, the relation of one laptop per student in the classroom, the connection to the Internet and the use of a virtual learning environment are among them.

Have Fun While Waiting : A study about the integration of interactive digital technology in amusement parks / Ha roligt medan du väntar : En studie om integreringen av interaktiva digitala tekniker inom nöjesfält

Krauser, Erika January 2015 (has links)
Consumers in the UK are spending about three days of waiting in queues every year. The majority of the French consumers would choose another business if it offered faster service. Research on current waiting times are therefore focusing on finding solutions to reduce consumers wait by reducing perceived waiting time and the dissatisfaction that arises with queues. The purpose of this study is to find out how to make the queues at the theme parks more fun with interactive digital technologies and the impact these have on the guest experience. A survey is carried out to find out how mobile usage looks at amusement parks today and how the respondents place themselves against the integration of interactive digital technologies in amusement parks. Even an interview, with the leader of the world's first synchronized queue entertainment the Helix game, is implemented. Theories show that one can reduce the perceived waiting time by introducing new environmental stimuli and fill the time with various activities that visitors can be consumed by. Thus increases the guest experience and the queues are less boring and time-consuming. One way of doing this is to incorporate mobile digital interactive techniques, which respondents would like to see more of.

Oldner, Sara, Wijk, Vendela January 2017 (has links)
This paper aims to investigate women’s experience of digital technology as a contraceptive. Research on the female body has not always been a natural part of human– computer interaction (HCI) research but is beginning to be seen through various aids in menstruation, pregnancy and likewise (Balaam, 2017). In 2017, a mobile application was approved as a contraceptive in Sweden and by that, digital technology took a step into the industry of contraceptives (Suni, 2017). The product is made by the company Natural Cycles, which therefore has become the natural focus of this paper. This study was created to find out how women experience the first fully technological contraceptive, focusing on trust through interfaces and experience design. To answer the purpose of the study, a questionnaire was created and a focus group interview was held, where one of the participants was asked to write a diary for one week to document her feelings and thoughts about her use of Natural Cycles. The results from the survey showed that about half of the respondents trust Natural Cycles and may be interested in trying the product. The other half says that they do not trust the products safety. The results from involved a simple interface and good marketing with a lot of information about statistics. The answers also showed that those who didn’t trust digital technology as contraceptives lacked truthful information about studies and use.

La Ticéitude, enseignement interactif en ligne du FLE : approche didactique et méthodologique curriculaire en contexte innovant / Ticéitude : interactive teaching of French as a seconde language online : didactic and curricular in an innovative context

Berger, Gilles 23 October 2015 (has links)
This thesis aims to demonstrate the effective implementation of a hybrid approach for learning French as a second language with the application of “Ticéitude”, a practical new concept for language learning in the 21st Century. This concept is a process of self-progression that targets the development of autonomy in the learner and for self-motivation, while also developing an autotelic personality, which means a certain “well-being” in the process of learning and teaching. Education is evolving due to today’s fast progress in digital technologies and is changing the course of history. Also because of this fast paced progress, we are currently witnessing new innovative approaches almost everywhere around the world. These challenges imply the importance of improving the quality of learning materials that is made available to the general populace. Our model, which is called Ticéitude, is aimed towards a humanistic approach of learning in the paradigm of “apprenance”. The notion of Ticéitude is to create links in a rich and diversified network. It is based on a socio-constructivist model, which encourages collaborative learning; thus reinforcing the motivation and autonomy of learners. In this instance, the model is based on the Australian context following the different curriculum in the various states and territory of this country. A hybrid approach has been put in place to create accelerated learning, based on the process of self-progression that targets the development of autonomy in the learner and for self-motivation, while also encouraging the development of an autotelic personality. In today’s world, we live in a cognitive society of networking when one can learn whenever or wherever he/she wants. The notion of “teacher” is changing as we focus more about coaching than teaching. The platform, which we created, allows individual learning with the guidance of the coach (teacher); thus teachers becoming more like peers. Teachers provide guidance to the students, suggest new approaches and at the same time participate to the network of a “group focused social learning”. Ticéitude implies the utilisation of new technologies but with a humanistic approach; so those tools are used effectively in a sustainable environment aimed to develop French learning not only in Australia but also around the world.
