I denna uppsats undersöker vi hur kapitalistisk realism, så som formulerat av Mark Fisher, uttrycks i två samtida romaner: The Road (2006) av Cormac McCarthy och Another Now (2021) av Gianis Varoufakis. Vi undersöker även romanernas relation till hopp och använder Ernst Blochs idéer i ämnet. I McCarthys skildring av människan, samhället och tiden, bekräftas kapitalistisk realism genom glorifiering av bland annat irrationalitet, brutal individualism och det "eviga nuet". Hoppet i romanen är av religiös natur. I Another Now, å andra sidan, ifrågasätts kapitalistisk realism, och alternativa synsätt och sociala arrangemang föreslås. Hoppet sammanfaller här med Blochs idé om det begripliga hoppet. / In this paper we examine how capitalist realism, as formulated by Mark Fisher, is expressed in two contemporary novels: The Road (2006) by Cormac McCarthy and Another Now (2021) by Yanis Varoufakis. We also examine how the novels relate to hope, and use Ernst Blochs ideas on the subject. In McCarthy's depiction of humanity, society, and time, capitalist realism is validated through, among other things, the glorification of irrationality, brutal individualism, and the "eternal present". Hope in the novel is of a religious character. In Another Now, however, the same ideology is questioned, and alternative views as well as concrete post-capitalist social arrangements are proposed. Here, hope aligns with Bloch's idea of comprehended hope.

Determining Kinetics for Simulated Sunlight-Exposed Oil CompoundsKountz, Dustin D 13 August 2014 (has links)
Understanding of the fate of oil in the environment is of utmost importance; however, accurate, predictive models are still in very early stages. To aid in the development of these models, photodegradation of selected polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs) in an n-alkane hydrocarbon matrix was followed for individual PAHs and mixtures of PAHs similar to that found in the Deepwater Horizon spill. Tetracene in tetradecane photodegraded quickest of all observed PAHs, with a loss of 99% after only one hour of irradiation. Binary mixtures of PAHs showed different degradation amounts, including changes in PAH kinetics. These results suggest that the formation of dimers or aggregates as well as photosensitization reaction is important in the degradation of PAHs in oil. Kinetics of PAH photodegradation and PAH sensitized photodegradation will be presented. This information will provide a better understanding of the fate of oil in environmental systems.

But the institute is not quite unknown to Czech law, because it was a part of it until 1964. This fact enables to compare the current legislation with the previous provisions and to follow up the development of the explored institute's concept, both in terms of the shift of its nature from public to private, as well as of its content. It is also possible to identify the characteristics of "new" Czech Superficial Right of Construction which reflect not only the development of law in the last fifty years in general, but also of a similar institute in other (European) countries. Notre recherche relève de la didactique des langues et s´inscrit dans la réflexion sur le plurilinguisme et l’acquisition des langues. Cette étude examine le processus d’activation partielle d’une langue autre que la langue cible pendant l’apprentissage des langues. Notre étude a été conduite dans deux établissements scolaires au Liban auprès des apprenantes des classes d’EB7, possédant un répertoire langagier plurilingue et ayant appris la diglossie arabe comme l’arabe (dans une version dialectale à la maison et standard à l’école) comme L1 et la langue française comme L2 et l’anglais comme L3. Lors de leur apprentissage et production du français L2 et de l’anglais L3, ils mettent en œuvre leur compétence plurilingue à travers l’activation partielle de leur potentiel plurilingue. Nous allons montrer quelles sont les processus cognitifs qui entrent en jeu lors de l’apprentissage de la nouvelle langue l’anglais L3. Ainsi que les facteurs qui conditionnent l’activation des langues connues par les apprenantes et à quel niveau linguistique se réalise le plus fréquemment l’activation partielle de la langue autre langue que la langue cible. / Our research comes from the didactics of languages and is part of the reflection on plurilingualism and the acquisition of languages. This study examines the process of partial activation of a language other than the target language during language learning.Our study was carried out in two schools in Lebanon with students of EB7 classes, having a multilingual language repertoire and having learned the Arabic diglossic language as L1 and the French language as L2 and English as L3.During their apprenticeship and production of the French L2 and the English L3, they apply their plurilingual competence through the partial activation of their plurilingual potential.We will show what are the cognitive processes that come into play when learning the new L3 English language. As well as the factors that condition the activation of the languages known by the learners, and at which linguistic level, is most frequently realised, the partial activation of the language other than the target language.

This diploma thesis deals with the integration of pupils with another mother tongue into the Czech elementary school. The thesis has a theoretical-empirical character. The theoretical part is based on professional literature and provides basic information on the number of foreigners in the Czech Republic, migration, categories of foreigners and legislation related to the stay of foreigners in the Czech Republic. It also deals with the term of a pupil with another mother tongue, as well as the legislation related to the education of these pupils in the Czech Republic. It describes in detail how to integrate a pupil with another mother tongue into school. At the end of the theoretical part of the thesis are described barriers that prevent inclusion of pupils and activities that would facilitate integration. The aim of the empirical part of the thesis is to find out how the integration of pupils with a different mother tongue into the Czech elementary school from the point of view of pedagogues and teachers assistants is taking place. The research survey is of good quality. Data are obtained through semi-structured interviews with 4 teachers and 4 teacher assistants. Depuis quelques années un métier émergent de l'éducatif se développe dans l'Enseignement Catholique , celui d'A.P.S. ou Adjoint en Pastorale Scolaire. A la croisée entre deux réalités institutionnelles, celle de l'éducation et celle de l'église catholique, ce métier se structure et se développe en tension entre une sur prescription à caractère discrétionnaire et le réel de l'activité des acteurs éducatifs dans leur contexte de travail. En nous appuyant sur la théorie de l'analyse de l'activité, notre intervention-recherche en collaboration avec cinq personnes en formation continue, a permis de mettre en évidence l'existence de plusieurs genres professionnels au sein d'un même métier qui peut être rattaché aux métiers "avec et pour autrui". Le dispositif expérimental a favorisé la constitution d'un collectif de travail, l'émergence de règles de métier, de compétences particulières , ainsi que le développement de l'activité des professionnels. Notre étude a joué le rôle d'analyseur des transformations des métiers qui consistent à agir "avec et pour autrui". Dans une perspectives d'évolution du système scolaire français, la réforme des collèges et la prise en compte des enjeux de société concernant la mixité sociale et culturelle, l'analyse de l'activité de ce métier émergent ouvre une réflexion sur les métiers de l'éducatif" avec et pour autrui" et la formation. / In recent years , a job as emerged from the education grows in Catholic teaching, the A.P.S. or school pastoral assistants. At the jonction between two institutional realities, that of Education and that of the Church, the profession has structured and developped stretching between a discretionary over prescription and the real activity of educational actors in heir work context. Based on the theory of activity analysis, our intervention research which has been conducted in collaboration with five people in in-house training as working, has highlighted the existence of several professionnal within' the same job which can be attached to trades that consist of acting with and for others. The experimental device has encouraged the formation of a collective work, the emergence of business rules, news skills, and the" development of the activity of professionals. 稅捐徵免應遵守租稅法定原則,亦須符合實質課徵之公平原則,納稅人依稅法規定負擔應納之稅捐並享有稅捐減免利益,並依實質負擔能力納稅,以符合租稅公平。在土地借名登記契約之稅捐法律關係,應取決於注重真正權利與利益享有之經濟實質關係,或恪遵法律形式之外部關係而定其稅捐法律效果﹖
為落實稅法秩序,是否容認形式合法性原則之規範價值優先於實質真實之法律原則。稅捐稽徵現況對於減免類型之原因案件,不僅要求在法律形式上應合致稅捐法規範,且經濟實質上須該當於稅捐法規範。
本文擬經由探討租稅法定原則與經濟觀察法,辨正經濟意義的歸屬與租稅構成要件獨立性的概念與涵義,兼顧法律安定性與公平性之調適,深入探討土地借名登記契約之稅捐徵免法律關係,本文發現課徵現況,有違反避免重複課稅及割裂交易認定事實的疑慮。

Does regarding taxation legal relationship of the contract of borrowing other’s name for land registration, the criteria for determining taxation effect whether shall be subjected to economic substantive relationship or the legal external form﹖
The main scope of this study will analyze the principle of taxation by law and the economic substantive survey methodology , in order to understand the concept and meaning with the connection between the taxpayer and the object taxed in economic purpose, to indentify the statutory requirement of tax independently in accordance with taxation laws and free from any interference, to harmonize and balance with stability of the legal order and the principle of equality in substantive taxation.
Reviewing the practical experience in relation to cases involving reduction and exemption from taxation, having taken into consideration all the intents of the arguments, we found out any doubts about giving rise to any issue of double taxation between land value increment tax、income tax and business tax, also being partially and selectively authenticating the economic facts.
This study has attempted to propose available programs regarding facts to support the cause of taxation between legal external form and economic substance.

Selected works for solo frame drums by B. Michael Williams.Nicholson, Jason Eugene 08 1900 (has links)
In 1993, American percussionist and composer B. Michael Williams published Four Solos for Frame Drums. This collection is considered the first work written exclusively for solo frame drum in Western notation. Williams primarily modeled his solos around traditional rhythms and techniques from Middle Eastern musical traditions as well as Glen Velez's virtuosic style of playing frame drums. He also drew influence from the music of South India and Sub-Saharan Africa. Williams intentionally combines the aforementioned elements as a means to expose his students and audience members to the music and drumming of these regions. The purpose of this paper is to provide a detailed analysis of select compositions for solo frame drum by B. Michael Williams in order to assist future performers in making well-informed interpretive decisions. The analysis will highlight the compositional style, structural components, technical demands and important performance considerations of four pieces by Williams: Quatrinity, Etude in Arabic Rhythms, Another New Riq and Rhythmic Journey no. 1: (From Conakry to Harare).
