[en] A FRAMEWORK FOR LOCATION-BASED COMMUNICATION / [pt] UM FRAMEWORK PARA COMUNICAÇÃO BASEADA EM LOCALIZAÇÃOKLEDER MIRANDA GONCALVES 07 July 2005 (has links)
a
chamado Nita (Notes In The Air), que provê comunicação
[en] The combination of mobile wireless computing and location
technology
enabled the emergence of a new computing paradigm known as
Location-Based
Services, whose goal is to study how to provide
personalized services to users
depending on the their location. Among these services, very
useful are the ones
which support different kinds of communication between
mobile users. Although
several services have been developed with this goal, only
few work aimed at
identifying the common characteristics of these systems,
with the goal of
designing a generic infrastructure that serves as the basis
for the development of
new services. This was the main motivation for this thesis
work, in which we
designed an object framework facilitating the construction
of applications for
location-based communication among mobile users. As main
case studies, we
instantiated an application called Nita (Notes In The Air),
which provides both
synchronous and asynchronous communication between co-
located users, and a
location-enhanced instant messaging application similar to
BuddySpace.

[en] THE GRAMMAR OF SILENCE: A STUDY OF COMMUNICATION AND NO COMMUNICATION IN PSYCHOANALYSIS / [pt] A GRAMÁTICA DO SILÊNCIO: UM ESTUDO SOBRE A COMUNICAÇÃO E A NÃO COMUNICAÇÃO NA PSICANÁLISESERGIO GOMES DA SILVA 13 February 2017 (has links)
[en] The present work aims to investigate the concept of silence in the history of psychoanalysis, analyzing the various meanings assigned to it in that the theories and analytical techniques were up overwriting each other. To achieve this goal, the silence was analyzed from two different theoretical perspectives, namely the classical or traditional psychoanalysis, centered in the writings of Sigmund Freud, Sándor Ferenczi and Karl Abraham and his interlocutors, and the English School of Psychoanalysis, centered the independent group and represented by the thought of Donald W. Winnicott and their theoretical heirs. At first, we attempted to find the referents of silence in his classic strand comprising it as resistance, censorship, repression, transference and countertransference, life and death drives, ego defenses, working through and the libidinal types. In the second part of this study, we sought the referent of silence through the contributions of Donald W. Winnicott from his theory of emotional development, to show how the mother is constituted as a first continent in which the baby must plunge into to development of his psyche, unconscious, self and your inner world. At the end we present four propositions of silence in current psychoanalytic practice: the silence that arises in the phenomena of withdrawal and regression, the silence of the analyst as a way to offer himself as a continent for your patient; silence as a secret in the development of thought and finally silence as interpretation and as holding.

[en] THE TECHNOLOGICAL IMAGINARY OF TEACHERS: BEING A TEACHER IN TIMES OF DIGITAL TECHNOLOGIES / [pt] IMAGINÁRIO TECNOLÓGICO DE PROFESSORES: SER PROFESSOR EM TEMPOS DE TECNOLOGIAS DIGITAISLUCIANA SILVA DOS SANTOS 15 January 2015 (has links)
O trabalho busca captar a percepção
[en] This paper aims at pointing out and discussing elements of the technological imaginary experienced by teachers and analyze its implications on teaching practices and on the relationships that teachers establish with the students in a digital culture. It also attempts to grasp the teachers conception of how their
profession supposedly has been changing in face of a massification of the access to technology and digital Medias. This dissertation has as its main theoretical foundation Digital Culture and the myth of digital culture theories and their contribution to understanding the Technological Imaginary. These theories are
placed among philosophically oriented Media studies, which belong to a postmetaphysical perspective. The empirical research consisted of semi-structured interviews with 15 high school teachers in Rio de Janeiro, mostly from State Schools where high school students are granted a license to be a Junior School
teacher. Results suggest that the Technological Imaginary shared by these professionals includes the myth of digital culture, which in turn implies a belief that there is a greater distance between generations in the context of a digital culture and that the young master the new media technologies, whereas adults
have little understanding of them. The study also discovered that the teachers use technologies to engage in social use more frequently than for pedagogical purposes. Even beyond the poor infrastructure of schools, little instruction in the use of technologies and lack of viable time to implement such resources in their
range of teaching practices, this Technological Imaginary seems to be a factor in the low use of technologies in classrooms.

[en] LANGUAGE AND COMMUNICATION IN WITTGENSTEIN AND HABERMAS / [pt] LINGUAGEM E COMUNICAÇÃO EM WITTGENSTEIN E HABERMASNILSON ASSUNCAO ALVARENGA 28 November 2003 (has links)
[pt] O trabalho tematiza as concepções de linguagem e
comunicação em Wittgenstein e Habermas. A base de
comparação são as diferentes atitudes metodológicas
adotadas pelos dois autores. O objetivo é mostrar como
essas diferentes orientações levam a diferentes concepções
de linguagem e comunicação. A pragmática formal e a teoria
[en] The subject of this work is the conceptions of language and
communication in Wittgenstein and Habermas. The starting-
point of the comparison is the different methodological
attitudes adopted by both authors. The objective is to
show how these different orientations lead to different
conceptions of language and communication. Habermas s
formal pragmatics and pragmatical theory of
truth are planned as methodological solution to the problem
of a pragmatically oriented analysis of language, which
does not give up a theoretical explanation of
the constitution of the linguistic meaning. This work
intends to show, however, that Habermas s conceptions do
not allow us to work with the problems faced by
Wittgenstein in his rule-following considerations, in an
attitude strictly antitheoretical.
From the Wittgensteinian remarks can be extracted a notion
of communication basically different from the reflexive
communication by which Habermas is guided. On the other
hand, it is considered the philosophical sense of
a strictly pragmatical analysis of language, as we can find
in the work of the later Wittgenstein. How can one
legitimate in practice an analysis of language turned to
the expliciteness of pragmatic presssupositions without any
type of theoretical foundation?

[en] NEGOTIATION STRATEGIES AND TACTICS USED BY PROFESSIONALS IN TODAY S CONTEXT / [pt] ESTRATÉGIAS E TÁTICAS DE NEGOCIAÇÃO UTILIZADAS POR PROFISSIONAIS NO CONTEXTO ATUALFREDERICO DE ARRUDA FALCAO 07 May 2007 (has links)
o atual, as
previamente planejado.
pesquisa envolveu
[en] In order to survive and prosper in a very competitive
market and in an
environment characterized by changes and uncertainty like
nowadays, the
organizations need to be able change itself. The market
and the environment are
changing faster demanding the organizations to be more
agile in their changes. In
the process to implement the change there are a lot of
negotiations that define the
course of what had been planed before. So if the
organization doesn t have
employees with negotiation skills, the change might take
longer to happen and it
might not come as planed. This work s theme is about the
way the professional
are negotiating nowadays in their work and has the main
goal of identifying
negotiation strategies and tactics that the professionals
use the most in the
different contexts. Although the interest for this theme
is very significant in the
international management literature it have not been
significantly broached in
researches in Brazil. The research involved interviews
with 13 professionals with
different jobs and working in different markets. The
results show that depending
on the context there is a variety of strategies and
tactics among the professionals
investigated. It was possible to identify a group of
aspects perceived by the
individuals as important for the success of the
negotiation, going through the
preparation phase until situations when there is an
impasse or when the person has
to leave the process.

relação: a do
[en] This dissertation looks at TV Globo`s local news program
RJTV
primeira edição, analising, in some of its segments,
spaces where it plays a
mediator part between the TV spectator and the space where
he lives. The
main hypothesis of this work is that the program observed
adopts format and
content innovations, attempting to achieve a closer
relation with its audience.
Our objective is to study the television message
considering that it is
constituted by a combination of text, sound and motion
image. We intend also
to pay attention to other relation: the one that is
established between the
receptor and the producer, which constitutes the
comunication as a process.

[en] IMAGE SIGNIFICATIONS OF CHILDRENS SITES: A STUDY OF THE SITE SÍTIO DO PICA-PAU AMARELO / [pt] SIGNIFICAÇÕES IMAGÉTICAS: UM ESTUDO DO SITE DO SÍTIO DO PICA-PAU AMARELOALESSANDRA CARUSI MACHADO BEZERRA 21 June 2004 (has links)
Nesse contexto, a
tema do site. Por meio de um questionário sobre os
significados de imagens selecionadas do site do Sítio do
Pica-pau Amarelo, a pesquisa levantou dados qualitativos
[en] In a child´s universe, access to the Internet has developed
tremendously, facilitated by the increasing presence of
computers in schools, homes and play areas. Moreover,
sites for children are widely promoted by the television
media. In this context, the Internet represents a
potentially large influence on children´s learning, which
brings up the importance of providing ways for children to
feel comfortable carrying out activities using this media.
However, there is a gap between the extent of advertising
and the true understanding of sites for children. This
situation gets worse when we consider that a growing number
of children lack the ability to use information technology.
In order for children to have good comprehension of the
information by way of the graphical interfaces of a site,
the design of the interfaces must be adequate to the
necessities and habits of the child, containing familiar
graphic elements which are coherent with the subject of the
site. Through a questionnaire on the meanings of images
selected from the site of Sítio do PicaPau Amarelo,
qualitative information was raised. This research identified
nuances in the repertoires of two groups of 30 students
from two kinds of schools: a private and a public one. The
conclusion of the research reinforces the importance of
semiotic principles and assumptions for the study of the
understanding and meaning of design products. The current
study presents to the designer theoretical approaches in
order to determine the graphic and conceptual requirements
in the elaboration of the signs that compose a children´s
interface. With the use of these requirements, a public
with specific characteristics, as that of children, will be
better served.

[en] THE DIFFICULTIES FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF COMMON SENSE FOR ORGANIZATIONAL PERFORMANCE MANAGEMENT: A CASE STUDY / [pt] AS DIFICULDADES DE CONSTRUÇÃO DE UM SENSO INTEGRADO PARA A GESTÃO DE DESEMPENHO ORGANIZACIONAL: UM ESTUDO DE CASOCAMILO DE LELLIS MORAIS 11 August 2004 (has links)
Gestão do Desempenho Organizacional. / [en] Currently, corporation work is focused on good performance
in balance with strategy itself. In addition, a Performance
Management Model proposal has come forth prioritizing not
only financial indicators but also the non-financial
indicators. Such model aims to mobilize the corporation
with the aim work in line with the objectives defined in
the corporation strategic plan. The main focus of such model
is the construction of an integrated vision, not only
considering the different dimensions that comprised the
strategy, but also the different organizational players,
involved in its definition and implementation. Following
this concept, the first step is to build common sense on
what organization performance is and what this concept
means. In view of that, this research aims to identify the
aspects that render the construction of shared senses in
the organization performance difficult allowing for better
integration of strategic actions and supporting the
organization in tackling the complex challenges within the
competitive corporation environment. This study is
centrered on a joint-venture corporation from the
telecommunications sector, called Star One. The company is
part of a greatly complex competitive environment
considering that it is a brand-new corporation that,
therefore, it pursues the construction of its own identity.
To materialize such document, all Corporation Board and
strategic planning Managers have been interviewed. The
results emphasize staff commitment level and the
communications process on the organizational strategy.
These are significant elements for the success of an
organizational performance management model.

aprender comunicando e
A análise revelou
que: (i) as
forma escrita, no
[en] Our main assumption is that it is possible and desirable
to learn while
communicating and also that the most effective learning is
collaboratively
constructed. Thus, we describe the linguistic-pragmatic
behaviours involving
strategies concerning negotiation of form and meaning
within a group of students
who are learning Portuguese as a Second Language (PL2).
The theoretical and
methodological framework includes studies in Second
Language Acquisition
(SLA), in Applied Linguistics, in Interactional Analysis,
in Language Didactics
and Computer Assisted Language Learning (CALL). It is
under this scope that we
analyse the collected data, which consist of interaction
events taking place in a
chat as a PL2 classroom task. he analysis suggests that:
(i) the properties of the
exolanguage communication, such as the selection of
communication and learning
strategies are still working in the interaction under the
written form in the chat; (ii)
the asymmetry between the participants is a catalytic
factor for collaboration and
knowledge construction. Asymmetry acts, then, as a
counterpart to the top-down
teacher-student relationship typical in classroom face-to-
face discussions;
(iii)taking account of the three major Swain´s functions -
Hypothesis Testing,
Metalinguistic and Noticing - guiding strategies
selection, there is a relationship
between these functions, the negotiation type, and the
participants´ proficiency in
the target language; (iv) the use of chat becomes an open
window for the
linguistic production as well as for pragmatic uses in
PL2. The task of chat sheds
light on the process of knowledge construction in Second
Language (L2), which is
simultaneously individual and collaborative.
