Syftet med denna studie är att jag vill se hur barn med fysiska funktionsnedsättningar representeras i barnböcker i förskolan. Dessutom få en uppfattning om hur pedagogerna arbetar för att få funktionsnedsättning som en del i verksamheten oavsett om det finns barn med funktionsnedsättningar eller inte på avdelningen. I studien har jag valt att använda mig av intervjuer som sträcker sig inom en kommun i Värmland och en enkätundersökning för att få en djupare förståelse för hur pedagogernas uppfattning ser ut i övriga Sverige. Studien bygger på 10 intervjuer och 52 svar på enkätundersökningen. Studien har kommit fram till att många pedagogers erfarenhet är att det finns få antal böcker där barn med fysiska funktionsnedsättningar representeras. Några av respondenterna hade aldrig sett ett barn med funktionsnedsättningar i en barnbok. / The purpose of this study is that I want to see how children with physical disabilities are represented in children's books in preschool. Also get an idea of how the teachers work to get functional impairment as a part of the business regardless of whether there are children with disabilities or not in the department. In the study I have chosen to use interviews that extend within a municipality in Värmland and a questionnaire survey to gain a deeper understanding of how the educators' opinion looks in the rest of Sweden. I received a total of 10 interviews and 52 responses to the survey. The study has concluded that many educators' experience is that there are few number of books where children with physical disabilities are represented. Denna studie analyserar fyra bilderböcker: Den långa, långa resan av Ilon Wikland och Rose Lagercrantz (1995), Tänk dig att fly av Pimm van Hest (2018), Flykten av Francesca Sanna (2016) samt Dagen då kriget kom av Nicola Davis (2018). Bilderböckerna skildrar barn som faller offer för krig och deras resa till fredligare länder. Studiens syfte är att undersöka skildringen av krig i bilderböcker och hur dessa kan tillämpas i svenskundervisningen i grundskolans senare år samt i gymnasiet. Studien visar att bilderböckerna i hög grad använder samma tekniker för att skildra krig: färger, stilfigurer och relationen mellan text och illustrationer. Trots teknikernas likheter används de på mycket olika sätt i bilderböckerna, vilket skapar stora skillnader i berättandet. Dessa skillnader skulle med fördel kunna belysas i svenskundervisningen för att i enlighet med internationell forskning stärka elevers språkliga utveckling.

This is an ecocritical analysis of the novel Glupahungern by Andrea Lundgren. I investigate how nature is viewed by looking at two things. First, I look at two functions in the novel. I analyze the function of characters that seem to be in between the human side and the animal side. I call them creatures of the border. I also analyze the function of places that can be seen as borderlands. Places between nature and society. Second, I do a small comparison between Glupahungern and the novel Hjortronlandet by Sara Lidman since they both are written by authors from the north of Sweden and the novels also takes place in the northern parts. Through this comparison I find similarities between the novel and how nature is viewed in them and I come to the conclusion that the place has an impact on the view of nature. The intention of this essay is to shine a light on an often overlooked aspect of Moa Martinsons debut novel Kvinnor och äppelträd. With the help of psychologist Abraham H. Maslows hierachy of needs the novels enormous focus on the working class’ life premises and how social standing affects the daily life of the depicted individuals are exposed. With marxist literary theorist György Lukács’s perspective on the connection between individuals and society, the consequences societal changes have on the working class come to light. Lukács’s thoughts on realistic literature and the unbreakable bond between an individual and their context, also works as a premise for questioning some of the more established research on Kvinnor och äppelträd. With these two points of view as a theoretical base, what emerges is a narrative where class related struggles are in the foreground rather than the background.

The aim of this esseay is to analyse the configuration of the literary child in Henning Mankells Comedia Infantil and Harry Martinssons Flowering Nettle. The teoretical outset is interdisciplinary, informed by both literarystudies and childstudies adopting a psycho-social perspective which allows a reading of the childprotagonists inside as well as outside preconditions and how these are constructed in the texts. The narratological concepts of focalization is used to investigate in detail how the narrator and narrative constructs a childperspectiveand conception of childhood. A point of interest is also to examine how the novels relate to the idea of the innocent or/and the competent child.

Syftet med uppsatsen är att undersöka hur förgänglighetstematiken tar sig uttryck i Kristina Lugns lyrik respektive dramatik. Jag analyserar en diktsamling och ett drama: Hej då, ha det så bra!från 2003, respektive Nattorienterarnafrån 1998. I min analys utgår jag från en tematisk läsning för att ta fasta på förgänglighetstematiken, för att vidare undersöka hur tematiken tar sig uttryck i respektive genre. Jag tar bland annat hjälp av begreppet ”genericitet”, som ser genre ”som ett material som texten produktivt bearbetar”. Analysen visar att förgänglighetstematiken är påtaglig i de båda verken. Analysen visar också att förgänglighetstematiken tar sig uttryck på olika sätt i respektive genre; dramatiken uttrycker förgänglighetstematiken på ett teatraliskt och humoristiskt sätt, medan lyriken uttrycker förgänglighetstematiken på ett mer avskalat och direkt sätt. Förordet till Nattorienterarna, där Kristina Lugn skriver om sitt förhållande till respektive genre, underbygger min tolkning. Lugn låter allvaret komma närmre läsaren genom sin lyrik.

This essay is a close-reading study of Toni Morrison's novel Beloved. The purpose of this essay is to investigate and describe Gérard Genette's narratological theories and their function in the novel when looking at how the story is told. The questions that are being answered are how flashbacks actually affect the chronological order of events and who the narrator is that’s telling the story. The methods that are being used in the report are a close-reading of Beloved and making a selection of previous research. The selected research will show an overview of some examples of areas and theories that has been used in other essays. In the summary it appears from the result of the analysis that flashbacks functions as explanations of the characters' thoughts or actions in the present and that the narrator most of the time is the character that is in a particular situation.
