The mathematics education is presented through an incessant search of finding ways to enable student learning. The objective of this research is based on the assumption of that the sense of learning a discipline, especially the mathematical, has contributed to consolidate a research field that fosters new ways of conceiving it. Therefore, in order to analyze the sense of learning mathematics for students of the nocturnal period in a fundamental school, this research delights in a study founded on the theory of Relationship with the Know developed by Bernard Charlot. For systematization of this research have been used as theoretical reference, in adition the Charlot (2000, 2005), studies by Silva (2008, 2009), Bachelard (2007), Giordan (2007), Fonseca (2007), Carvalho (2001), Marques (2009), Abdalla (2004), Lorenzato (2010) and others. It is a study of case with quantitative and qualitative approaches, which uses as an instrument of data collection questionnaires and semi-structured interviews. In this research, there are issues concerning relations with nocturnal teaching and math, when they seek the learning. The data show that young people enter to night school as a consequence of diurnal activities; however, they have satisfactory relationship with the school and the nocturnal turn. These students see the school as an institution that provides social mobility, learning, socialization and entertainment. The relationships with Mathematics are acceptable and pleasurable. They consider an important discipline; however, refer to the Elementary Mathematic, putting little relation to part of abstract. Furthermore, the data argue that one must learn mathematics as a discipline necessary for the future.

Políticas afirmativas no ensino superior: estudo etnográfico de experiências indígenas em universidades do Mato Grosso do Sul (Terena e Kaiowá-Guarani) / Affirmative actions on higher education: ethnographic research on Indigenous experiences in universities of Mato Grosso do Sul (Terena and Kaiowá-Guarani)Santos, Augusto Ventura dos 10 December 2015 (has links)
From the early years of the 2000s, there has been a significant increase in the demand put forth by indigenous populations in Brazil to ingress in universities. This debate of growing importance has brought about valuable issues concerning affirmative action interested in the democratization of higher education in this country. This thesis aims to contribute to this branch of discussions through an ethnographic investigation of the higher education experiences of two indigenous populations in the state of Mato Grosso do Sul: the Terena and the Kaiowá-Guarani. On one hand, the research seeks to follow the networks of relations engaged in the massive participation of Terena students in regular courses in the regions public universities. On the other hand, it describes the quotidian experiences of the Teko Arandu, an indigenous teacher education program, that has involved hundreds of Kaiowá and Guarani teachers. The ethnographic description of the plurality of practices and reflections in each of these cases points to the existence of specific ways of knowledge and ways of living, that are actualized in a very singular manner in the university context. In this sense, for the Terena entering higher education seems to be related to a proper disposition to seek broader and better positions in the world out there, thereby densening their connections, fulfilling their roles as social protagonists and imprinting their particular conduct. The Teko Arandu program, in turn, seems to constitute one of the important alternatives sought by the Kaiowá and Guarani in order to strengthen the ñande reko (our system); such alternatives involve experimentation and creative connections with technologies pertaining to the karai reko, the non-indigenous peoples system.

Informations- und Wissensmanagement im Nachhaltigen Landmanagement (IWM im NLM)Kaiser, David B., Köhler, Thomas, Weith, Thomas 14 December 2012 (has links) (PDF)
1 EINLEITUNG

Previous issue date: 2004-04-28 / Financiadora de Estudos e Projetos / This work aimed to investigate what vision children in the first grades in urban suburban public school have about the school situation . The goals of this work were: to discover how children describe, analize and qualify the types of learning they acquire at school, to realize what types of relationship they develop with the institution; to verify if there is any relation between content which is taught at school and their lives. The literature chosen for the data analysis intended to discuss some important concepts about this issue, such as: the democratization of public learning, the individuals in the school universe, their relation to knowledge, the dialogistical relation in the classroom, among other. The research was conducted by means of semi-structed interviews with four boys and two girls that attended the same school, but had diversed school performance. The interviews occurred in two different moments: at first, when all of them attended the fourth grade in Brazilian elementary school (2001) and, later, when four of them attended the fifth grade and two remained in the previous grade, after having failed the exams (2002). Data have shown that the perception those boys and girls have about the function of school involves both the socialization that the institution promotes (social intimacy and insertion) and its role as a formative agent (in content and citizenship formal/instrumental). As for their effective learning, data have shown that those children have learned the socialization content, but not all of them have had access to the formal/instrumental content: after having failed the exams for several times, once more the two oldest boys finished the fourth grade in Brazilian elementary school without being able to read and write, and they resented that. Listening to boys and girls and with them stablishing an open dialog about school and learning has proved to be an absolute need in the construction of a more democratic and democratizing school.

Good and equal care for everyone, except transgender people? : Health care personnel and transgender peoples' experiences of health care - A general literature studyHultberg, Emelie, Olsson, Linn January 2022 (has links)
Background: Transgender people are more exposed to violations, haressment, violence and threats than the rest of the population, which negatively affects transgender people´s health. Despite the need for help, transgender people tend to avoid seeking healthcare, due to a fear of being diminished or denied by healthcare professionals. Transgender peoples´ trust disappears when healthcare professionals show a lack of knowledge. By identifying factors that affect transgender peoples’ experiences of care, good conditions are made possible for increased gender awareness. Aim: To investigate which factors influence transgender peoples’ experiences of health care. Method: A general litterature study with an inductive approach. Seven articles from three databases were reviewed and compiled into fourcategories. Results: Transgender peoples’ experiences of healthcare are largely influences by various factors. A gender- affirming environvent, as well as good treatment by healthcare professionals, brings feelings of security to transgeder people. A good care relationship creates trust in trans people towards the healthcare professionals, while at the same time the healthcare professionals’ lack of knowledge constitutes an obstacle to adequate care. Conclusion: Healthcare professionals should treat all people equally with acceptance, care and belonging. Nursing education needs to include knowledge about caring for transgender people. Increased knowledge about factors that affect transgender peoples´experiences of health care, contributes to healthcare professionals being able to improve the meeting with transgender people and provide equal and good care to all patients.

Why Evidence Matters: Examining the Knowledge and Perception of Pre-Service TeachersCampbell, Stefanie 01 December 2014 (has links)
Evidence-based educational policymaking has become a global phenomenon (Wiseman, 2010). According to the Institute of Education Sciences, evidence-based education is "an integration of the professional wisdom and the best available empirical evidence on making decision about how to deliver instructions" (IES, US Department of Education, 2012). This suggests that best practice requires teachers to ensure that instructional strategies and programs implemented in their classroom have been studied in scientific experiments to determine their effectiveness. The general public, as well as practicing teachers, holds an assumption that educators have knowledge as to what is evidence-based education. However, this is not always the case. The objective of this these include: to document how pre-service teachers access research findings and what types of findings they use in their practice, to identify the purposes of its utilization, to identify the factors that influence research utilization, and to ensure the accessibility of the findings of this study. The population for this study will be pre-service teachers at a large public higher education institution and one state college. In order to meet these objectives I conducted a survey, a pre-service teacher focus group, and an interview with faculty. Research findings will impact pre-service teacher preparation programs and increase our understanding of the link between the researchers and educators.

To ScenographHenriksson Strååt, Linn January 2024 (has links)
In this essay I examine scenography as a verb, to scenograph, and what it means to consider scenography as a process of development rather than an artifact placed on stage. Based on Deleuze and Guattari's ideas about rhizomatic structures and becomings, carnal aesthetics and phenomenology, I weave together tactile knowledge, the agency of the materials themselves and collective processes in a text about finding the inherent is of a scenography.

Conception générique d'un outil de configuration de « e-TP » / Generic design of a configuration tool for e-Hands-on-TrainingArnous, Saher 30 September 2014 (has links)
Powered by the technological advances of the “Information and communication sciences and technologies”, the Electronic Laboratory for Practical Training “ELab” (also known as ELab hands-on training) has become an inescapable teaching mode especially in the technical and scientific disciplines. Thus, several ELab modes have emerged: virtual ELab, remote ELab, Local Elab, augmented reality ELab, etc. The latter require the use of hardware devices (educational mock ups, measuring instruments, robots, etc.). In most cases, before or during an ELab session, these devices need to be reconfigured according to teaching purposes. For complex systems, like Automated Production Systems (APS), this reconfiguration process requires technical skills which the instructor does not have systematically. This imposes that a technician should be available, failing which the usage of the pedagogical platform will be limited to a few skilled instructors. Accordingly, this research aims at facilitating the reconfiguration process of complex systems (particularly the APS) featuring ELabs. A first survey designated to the users of « AIP-Priméca-RAO », located at the INSA de Lyon, has revealed the needs and constraints related to such a platform. It has been highlighted that beyond the (re)configuration process, a waste of precious time was detected. It has been established that it was due to the absence of a common tool for pedagogical resource management. This observation fed the design of a software tool managing an editorial chain aiming at simplifying creation, edition, assembling, organization, and the reutilization of different resources that can be exploited in an ELab session. This tool is also intended to improve the autonomy of the instructor during the preparation of an ELab session, by reducing the required time to configure this session. This implies to automate the reconfiguration process of an APS supporting the ELab and the publishing of the pedagogical learning scenarios on a Learning Management System (LMS). In order to validate this design, a prototype has been developed and tested on real Elab cases. Subsequently, this tool could be rendered more generic so that it can serve Elabs in different disciplines.
