The education of heal the professionals in themulti-professional devices : about the invention of ways of caring mental healthSimoni, Ana Carolina Rios January 2007 (has links)
The present study aims to question the possibilities of production of new ways of caring mental health, since the creation of multi-professional devices of education. The empiric field was the education spaces of Medical Residentship Program (emphases in psychiatry and in medicine for the family and the community) and of Health Integrated Residentship Program (emphases in mental health and health of the family and community) of a public health institution in Porto Alegre city. The participants of this research were mentors and residents of the mentioned programs. The construction of the investigated object came from a historiccritical perspective that approached the constitution of the modern family and the registration of the madness as mental disease. It also came from the analyses of the new guidelines of Brazilian Sanitary and Psychiatric Reform, which intends to insert the practices in mental health in the spaces of attention to the family and the community, as a possibility to construct the deinstitutionalization of the mental health care. This study was organized around three directions. First, we constructed the history of the manners to care mental health. We discussed the relationship between scientific discourses about health and the current way of life regarding Michel Foucault's contributions about the bio-power and Hannah Arendt’s contributions about the differences between public space and social sphere. We analyzed the reforms in Brazilian public health, as well as, the implementation of the multi-professional devices of education in this institution. After, we reflected about the field of the professionals' experience during residentship. At this moment, the contributions of Freud, Lacan, Todorov and Derrida were very important, as well as, for the presentation of our research method. Finally, we discussed about the ethics, which included the presentation of the residents' singular courses, from the narratives about their experience. This third direction was based on the contributions of Lacan’s thought about ethics, articulated to the other authors presented in this study. And then, we underlined the tragic dimension of the clinic, in opposition to the normative knowledge and practices, aiming to draw challenges and possibilities to invention of ways of caring mental health that holds the existence.

Previous issue date: 2013-06-04 / Coordenação de Aperfeiçoamento de Pessoal de Nível Superior / The present study aims to contribute a wider comprehension about intolerance in global
metropolis, seeking to offer interpretive possibilities for the identification of its multiple
causality through the expansion of interdisciplinary discussions and analysis of the social
conditions of their practice. We start with the notion of otherness to observe intolerance as a
component of social relations, traversed by the issues brought to light by the characteristics of
metropolitan São Paulo and its international integration as a world city, denoting a difficult
sociability. Alongside diversity, ethnic and social diversity, economic inequality and access to
the city as controlled environment, there have been cases of violence, discrimination,
prejudice, racism and xenophobia. Recurrence of such actions has generated concern among
the state government thus urging the existence of law enforcement unit specializing in this
type of offense, forefront installing in São Paulo the pioneer DECRADI Police Station for
Racial and Intolerance Crimes, on which we focus this analysis.
The records of police reports were analysed in order to obtain information about victims,
perpetrators and the nature of the occurrence, aiming to identify common characteristics that
allow for a better understanding of these intolerant manifestations. The results demonstrate
this phenomenon as common and ordinary in everyday s life but their causal relations may
not be attributed to single expression views. These violent events focus on honor crimes and
involve mainly verbal and psychological aggression against "social minorities." Confronting
this issue requires further debate about the binary matrix of equality and difference, historical
understanding of otherness in order to expand the possibilities of recognition and respect for
diversity in societies where inequalities and contradictions are present, and the development
of new arguments for constructing policies to promote equality. Rarely discussed in current
Sociology such topic encounters dialogue with other areas of knowledge and human sciences
such as psychology, philosophy, law and political science / O presente estudo pretende contribuir para a compreensão do tema intolerância nas
a análise.
contra a honra e envolvem principalmente agressão verbal e psicológica contra as minorias
sociais .
psicologia, a filosofia, o direito e a ciência política

Politiques de reconnaissance dans les musées d’ethnographie et des cultures au XXIe siècle / Politics of Recognition in Museums of Ethnography and Cultures in the 21st CenturyPagani, Camilla 30 June 2014 (has links)
Through a genealogical approach and in the context of theories on multiculturalism, this work intends to analyse museums as public institutions, builders of identity, nation-state instruments and venues for the exercise of politics of recognition. The following research focuses on ethnographic and cultural museums, which have subject to criticism since the1980's due to their colonial legacy and anachronic mission in today's global and post-colonial world. Thanks to indigenous people movements and the development by European institutions and UN agencies such as UNESCO of international norms on cultural diversity and return of cultural property, museums have turned into theatres where indentities are builtand claims for recognition are negotiated. As a result, new institutional strategies have been adopted in order to go beyond the ethnographic approach. The principle of recognition is key to understand this paradigm shift. Following a pluridisciplinary approach and through case studies in Europe and in the United States, this work aims at building a bridge between political philosophy and museum studies. It proposes an analysis of various institutions based on four principles of recognition in relation to indigeneous peoples, universalism, colonial history and globalisation.

Translating children’s literature can be paradoxical for translators: they have to deal with the long tradition of the self-effacing translator serving the source text, and with a tendency to cater for the young readership in a benevolent, often conformist way. Our thesis looks beyond this dualistic view and shows another theoretical and practical approach based on a selection of texts from English-language children’s literature, from the XIXth century onwards. Children’s literature is seen more and more as a part of literature in general, which makes it possible to no longer see its translation as specific and target-oriented, something that tends to erase the otherness within the texts. If some elements are indeed more specific to the translation of children’s literature, this thesis aims at underlining how rich and complex this literature is thanks to translation, which makes us reconsider our relation to language, identity and otherness. Following Antoine Berman and Henri Meschonnic, translators must think their practice and build a theory paying particular attention to the inherent orality of children’s literature. Translators have to involve themselves in their work while being aware of the limitations and possibilities linked to their subjectivity. The translator’s invisibility is a chosen and playful one, using the metaphor of the invisibility cloak, which they can put on and remove as they please, while they negotiate between cultures, languages and readerships. Elaborating on this image, our thesis links the theory of translation with the study and the translation of our primary corpus, and draws a conclusion: translating children’s literature assimilates the experience of the translator to the one of the child (re)discovering language, identity and otherness.

Émerger à l’altérité : vers une approche anthropologique de la condition juvénile : l’exemple des pratiques festives et des usages de substances psychoactives / Emerge to otherness : towards an anthropological approach of juvenile condition : the example of festive practices and uses of psychoactive substancesPecqueur, Christophe 18 January 2019 (has links)
This research is based on a double questioning about the social phenomena of adolescence and youth. First, a critical reflection on the use of the notions of adolescence and youth by sociology leads us to develop, relying in particular on the contributions of other disciplines such as psychoanalysis, an anthropological approach to the juvenile condition. Then it is defined at the articulation of the general process of emergence to "principle of otherness", which marks anthropologically the exit of childhood, and the social conditions of exercise of this process. From here we report on the singularity of the contemporary experience of youthfulness through the example of festive practices and psychoactive substances uses. The social universe of festive youthful practices, particularly marked by the staging of excess, appears as a major area of socialization of the younger generations. While it may have a function to symbolize the break with the world of childhood that accompanies entry into adolescence, it is not or little effective in the process of aggregation to the adult world.

Orientador: David Sanchez Rubio / Resumo: Vila Itália. It is located in São José do Rio Preto, city in the state of São Paulo, being one of the richest cities in Brazil. São José do Rio Preto experienced a real estate boom, and for construction many outsiders came. The boom was over, and the city's 'problem' broke out: those outsiders, the others, who became ninguneados, were thrown to their own devices. The study deals with the fundamental human rights, specifically here the social right to housing, showing from how the housing raised the status of fundamental right, turning to the case study of Vila Itália, made from narrative interviews, observation and bibliographical research and ending with a little deepening in the economic, political and philosophical questions that involve the subject. The foundation is through dialectical historical materialism, which also underlies the Critical Theory of Law, which is also the basis of research. In dark times, such as those currently being lived, the theme has great relevance, since it is lived in a moment of neoliberalism that exposes where it intends to deconstruct, negatively, all the hard-won social rights that were so little realized. Through the Philosophy of Liberation and the ethics of otherness, the very role of law, and its servant, is discussed. As a result, there are more than 15 interviews done and transcribed, a fully analyzed judicial process, the history of the city of São José do Rio Preto and also its slums over ti... Offer eller en problemkategori : En kritisk diskursanalys av hur EU-migranter skildras i svensk press / Victims or a category of problems : A criticial discourse analysis of the depiction of EU-migrants in swedish pressNorin, Michael January 2019 (has links)
The purpose of the study was to examine how EU-migrants was depicted in the two top selling newspapers in Sweden year 2015, Aftonlandet and Expressen. A critical discourse analysis was used to answer the purpose and questions of the study. The theoretical foundation consists of social constructionism, critical discourse analysis and theories linked to otherness. The main result showed that the two newspapers described EU- migrants as romas, Bulgarians or Romanians and being sick, poor and vulnerable, living in unsanitary conditions, setting up illegal settlements. They were depicted as having limited agency and being dependent of the help from swedes. Three discourses were found: Legal discourse – demanding law and order in handling the EU-migrants, Victims discourse – focusing on the EU-migrants vulnerability and need of help, and Responsibility discourse – discussing who’s responsible for helping the EU-migrants out. EU-migrants was constructed as the other by portraying them as deviant and a threat to Swedish law, order and values.

Penser l'hybride - une critique de la raison économique / Thinking the hybrid – a critic of the economic reasonHalpern, Gabrielle 15 March 2019 (has links)
Is it right to want to save reason, at any cost? In the course of the history of ideas, it is a real denaturation of human reason, which we are witnessing. Originally simple mode of apprehension of the real, the reason turned into system, ideology and paradigm. This had the consequence of making the human being from a liberating and fruitful humanism to aconquering and dangerous anthropocentrism. So reason has become a wolf for man; theprotean crisis we are now experiencing is only a symptom of this alteration. The rationalist ideology renders the human being not only incapable of accessing the real as in himself, but also leads him to disguise, to twist, to mistreat the real. Numerous patches have been invented throughout the history of Western ideas by many philosophers to diminish, or at least to contain, this denaturation, but they have had the perverse effect of reinforcing and further rigidifyingthe rational paradigm. It is time to imagine a mode of apprehension different from reality, associated with anunprecedented epistemology, capable of bringing about a new theory of knowledge: it will be about "systematic" thinking. Nourished by talmudic epistemology and cognitive science, this new theory of knowledge, whose prolegomena are posited, is built on a logic radically different from Aristotelian logic. To know otherwise to think otherwise is the stake of this new epistemology.

Liberation of the Ecclesia : The Unfinished Project of Liturgical TheologyHjälm, Michael January 2011 (has links)
This dissertation is a critical study of the paradigm of Liturgical Theology. Focus in this systematic inquiry has been on the Russian school with the focal point in the works of Alexander Schmemann, who was active in the late 20th century. The main question of the thesis concerns the relation between theory and practice in Liturgical Theology. It is claimed that the relation between theory and practice corresponds to the relation between ritual action and communicative action. The former concerns the identity founded on the unavoidable alterity immanent in life, but also transcending life through a holistic encounter with life, which enables us to express a holistic attitude to life and the entire world. The latter concerns the equally unavoidable rationalization of life which gives rise to a continuous atomization of life through science and the process of acquiring facts and data. The thesis makes use of different theories for the reaching of an explanatory theory in connection to theory and practice. Foremost the Theory of Communicative Action in the works of Jürgen Habermas and the re-interpretation of disclosure by Nikolas Kompridis is used. It is claimed tthat ritual action is connected to a primary disclosure attached to otherness with the intention of revealing the identity of the Ecclesia. Without identity, we are left with a never-ending debate and a continuous atomization where every answer exponentially provokes more questions. Communicative action then is connected with a secondary co-disclosure with the intention for the reaching of mutual understanding, making subjects accountable and responsible. Without communicative action we are bound on a long walk into the never ending sea of being. The missionary imperative in the Ecclesia is dependent on the co-existence of ritual action and communicative action.
